I ordered delivery. It arrived in 20 minutes. Very friendly delivery guy from Glovo. Food was good but I had better elsewhere. Typical Chinese noodles with chicken.

if you want “authentic” indian food, i suggest you do not come here. the chicken korma is similar to sick. the keema naan is made in the microwave and don’t get me started on the masala chips. if you want microwaved chips topped with a few spicy chillis and a few mouldy tomato chunks then they’re great for you. when i politely asked the female worker if i could return my chips she shouted in my face and was veru hostile and aggressive. disgusting attitude of all the workers and they are clearly not taught any customer service. very upset and this has left me feeling very upset and disappointed.

Not the nicest room, over bright etc but the food is consistently good and the staff excellent.

Tried indo chinese food this time and not curry. Chilli Chicken and veg rice were very nice. A little salty but tasted fresh and well prepared.

Really bad experience when you place your order on Uber eat at 10:45pm and you start wait and suddenly they disappear your order!

We had chicken Biryani yesterday order three plates of biryani so bad taste like old chicken uncooked my mother was sick no taste at all very very bad experience never ever go back again this resturant.

I gave Paneer Tikka Masala a shot today, and I must say it was a total letdown. The taste was nowhere close to authentic Paneer Tikka Masala; in fact, it was excessively sweet, leaving me thoroughly displeased. I had to abandon the dish because the sweetness level was just too much. I strongly advise against trying it – a disappointing experience overall.

Had amazing dishes. Fish fry, masala chips and vegetarian Biryani. Abhay the manager was very understanding. Have had salt and pepper fish, lollipop chicken and chicken karmos on my previous visits. Eating in is much better than take-away. Food tastes is amazing.

Been here a half dozen times since I first came across this place a few months ago. I always have the same thing - the 20 tandoori wings and fries combo. The tandoori wings are just amazing, buckets of flavour and the fries are incredibly crunchy. As long as the quality standards always stay the same, I can see myself visiting this place on a regular basis. I might even have to try some of the other items on their menu!

We have been here a few times now, great food and you order at the desk then it's bought to your table once ready. Great value for money.

Visit yesterday 10th October, afternoon. The best service by serving staff. The food was amazing and the place was really clean with good soothing music.

Food was good, took too long to get the food also got on of the dishes wrong. If service was quicker then it would be more good. Prices were decent and food was OK

Really tasty food and a good price.

It is one of the best indian restaurants in leicester. Food is tasty but expensive. My favourite dish is chicken jalfrezi with Naan, chicken tikka burger. Biryani is overpriced and tastes sweet for Indians. If you want to eat biryani, ask them to make it spicy.

A high impact avalanche of incredible chicken

As a foodie who has lived in the local area for 35 years I must say this was very disappointing. £5 for 2 tiny somosas and £2.50 for a smidgen of sauce - I mean no one who gets this portion will ever order from this place again as one must have some self respect. The £9/10 for somosa chaat also just contained a midget somosa and salt - end of. The noodles were plenty some full of sodium and no flavour. Not a great experience and I guess they are after a one time order rather than repeat business. Would never order again.

Food was generally OK, fish fry was good, paneer curry was a little too spicy. Food took about 45 mins to arrive, and came in bits so we had eaten some of the meal before the rest arrived.

Way to long of a wait and the sound of microwave ovens pinging suggested the rice was reheated, ruined my weekend, have reported it to food hygiene inspectors, hopefully this place will be shut down

A nice place to try some authentic Indian dishes. This place was buzzing with lively customers out to enjoy. We definitely did with some Chicken tikka and then Lamb Madras was hot for mains. All in all a good experience.

They have the most authentic lip smacking indian food.

Delicious masala fries & fresh naan. Always hot and tasty, very reasonably priced.

Good Indian food at a fair price .

Great price and enormous portion! If you don’t have big appetite, I recommend going for a small bowl. That’s already big. We ordered a pani puri, a chicken tikka masala and a chicken biryani. All were delicious. Order at the counter with table service.

The chaat dishes were rather nice (pani puri & sev puri). However, the mains were really poor quality. Paneer shashlik curry was quite unpleasant and didn't feel fresh or homemade. Salt n pepper fish had a soggy coating and the fish tasteless and gelatinous, probably pangas catfish / basa. Egg fried rice was very odd, no recognizable egg but an odd spicy yellow powder coating. Much as we liked the chaat (eat-in only) we wouldn't return as there are much better curry options around Clarendon Park.

Puri starters were ok, but disappointed with mains. Much better Indian food to be had in Leicester.

Very poor..got a notification to say the driver is on the way and on track for the estimated delivery time..but they then sent the delivery driver to deliver an order to someone in the opposite direction meaning my food arrived 35 minutes after the estimated delivery time and 55 minutes after it first left the restaurant meaning it was cold and soggy when it arrived. I won't be ordering from here again, not very Customer friendly to delay an order after saying it was on time.

We sat in there for 10 mins before we got told it was counter order Salted lassi was to salty and to thick to drink When asked to change it they just topped it up and gave it back We had dal rice and nann We had eaten half the rice before the rest of the meal arrived I've eaten dal and rice in lots of places this was the worst

Nice food, pretty reasonable prices and located in one of the few remaining pleasant areas of Lesta.

the prices at indian rooster are surprisingly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes provided, the biryani was enough for 3 to eat and have some left (we did have starters and other mains shared as well!). The value for money here is exceptional, making it a worthwhile destination for anyone seeking an authentic Indian dining experience without breaking the bank.

Popped in here at lunchtime Saturday as was in the area and thought we would try out ! Ordered chicken tikka roll and kebab roll both as meals and a drink . Whilst the service was lacking very slightly as I think this place is more of an order and then take a seat kind of place , and with the vast number of choices on the menu I thought it might be a restaurant style , but that doesn’t matter and minor. What matters is what we ordered was delicious , fresh and tasty! Was mildly spicy just right and we were very full afters! Will definitely be coming again ! Thank you !

Canteen style restaurant. Food is not great tasting, but portions are generous. Would not go back in a hurry. Expensive for the value it delivers.

Great values for money, cheap pints and bottles beer, freshly cooked food. One of the best grilled food I have had In Leicester.

Had a take away and as a result the naan and bhajia were soggy. The biryani was excellent, the paneer makhani was tasty but mainly sauce, little paneer. A decent take away and I guess if we had it fresh in the restaurant it would have been four stars. It’s a popular place to eat in Queens Road and I wish you every success.

Highly recommended, looks more like it might be “fast food” from the outside and whilst the service was fast (order food and drink and pay at the till up front), the quality (and quantity) of food was top notch. Will return.

Fast food appearance but excellent authentic Indian flavours. Generous portions, picture shows (eat-in) veg biryani and fish pakoda, both served with raitha/yogurt, with beer (Cobra on tap) £21.30. Busy at 7.30-8.00, with mostly serving for take-away.

Not that great. The food’s alright and the service is a bit slow. Also the bathroom needs cleaning, there’s food on the sink. Overall not that impressed.

Kebabs were delicious but the pilau rice served was very dry. Chicken fried rice ordered was also very dry , so we ordered lamb curry. In the menu lamb curry was accompanied with rice, so we asked for only curry option which was not available. So we had to pay the full price even though we did not take the rice. Lamb curry taste was good.

Now a days food was not good, it smells different and taste was not up to the mark.

We had a quiet meal on Saturday night. The food was spicy , but not over spiced. Good food very reasonably priced.

Really love the shezwan noodles and the chilli paneer is amazing even the naans are made fresh everything is perfect even chicken and chips thank you I just ordered twice in the past month from here and I love the food

First time here and you have to go, best Indian food to taste with a cosy ambience and good service too. The meals served rapidly and the rates are reasonable too, can totally recommend it and will definitely come back!

Not a good experience. Food way to spicy..even though we ordered food thats not that hot elsewhere. Service was poor. Not the best menu. Certainly not value for money. Not saying other parts of menu are not good. Just what we had.

4 star for service last time we were there but they have 1 chef name nazir he wasn't there last visit, but when he is there food service is great and food tastes amazing so 5 stars for nazir.

We had great service and great food. A good variety of food and drinks to cater for all. The place is clean and food delicious.

Took a tad under 40 minutes to serve ½ a chicken and rice in an empty restaurant. When it arrived it was undercooked. I was told that thigh and leg meat is always pink - bs. Had to insist on a free beer as I had to wait a further 20 minutes and the waitress was clearly annoyed with me...last time I'll go, which is a shame as the food is nice when cooked

Google shows open until 11pm, however staff said they are closed when I walked in at 10:05, Reason I was given is that you start a deep clean at 10:30, surely it wouldn’t take more than 25mins to cook most things on your menu? I would advise to update your opening times however Google shows they were updated 4 days ago. Maybe train staff on how to treat customers, instead of giving the impression they just want to clock off early.

Good food. And something a little different for queen's road. We got a chicken wrap and a lamb curry. Both were reall good. Hope it does well.

Absolutely disgusted by the customer service at this place they have workers who have minimal English and when ordering food you’d have to repeat yourself a number of times but the food was still wrong also as a waiter I’m sure one of your jobs is to not pick your nose on the job he was so blatant in doing it, it was laughable poor fella couldn’t find what he was looking for all hype for nothing won’t be returning at all

Disappointing apart from the lollipop chicken, too much masala, chicken curry was terrible, haka noodles was ok. Nice vibe and friendly staff but will be sticking to pub grills. A bit of a missed opportunity for this side of town. Also seems to be double the pub prices with the grill at £30 and curry ordered at £13

It has a really nice ambience, good staff, and the quality is nice as well. The only thing they are missing is management. I just ordered a very small dish. The Samosa chat took 20 minutes to serve. Food was warm taste was delicious. I am not here to criticize them but they need to keep up with the customer service timings. Later on I ordered a chicken biryani which was delivered hot in 6 minutes. Well here's my final call on stars. 1st star for the Ambience. 2nd star for the cleanliness and Hygiene. 3rd star for the presentation. 4th star for the food quality. I have left out the 5th star for service time. The overall experience was good. Family restaurant and great restaurant.

Typically spicy Indian style food. Charcoal cooking adds to the flavour. Nice service.

Fully recommend! Heard some good things about those place and was not disappointed. Popped in for lunch and eat in the restaurant. Food was lovely and all fresh. The dishs come out as they are ready and are great to share. We tried three dishes and all were excellent! Eating in and getting the food fresh was definalty the way. The price seemed a bit steep but was justified by the quality of the food. Staff were lovely and explained the menu well. Defo will return.

Tasty curries , but prices could be little lower, can't charge give dining prices for fast food. Other grill items are average, and expensive for what it is. Speed of service needs a heck of improvement, waiting over an hour for food. Will definitely try again once they sort of food ordering time.
