A decent and cheap place to grab a pizza. Pizza is nice but the dough is too thin and crusty, best place for people who likes thin crust pizza.

The peri peri pizza was burnt but tandoori chicken pizza was nice

Had a review on 3 years ago but had to go and change it after my brought back a heatwave burger. It had too much sauce no way to hold the burger and for price £9. Its just a normal fillet burger drowned in a lot of sauce. And chips was not even fried properly.

Food was okay I ordered cheesy chips service was fast

3 times iv had batterd sausages and 3 times the batter is hard as nails the sausage is dry and nasty taste they DIY in the cabinet drying out for hours on end absolutely dreadful chicken sits there cold for hours one of the worst

Tried the Shazmins special premium pizza. The pizza comes with a thick soft crust and overloaded with toppings. It was a little too spicy for my liking. Domes and chicken toppings were generous. The staff especially tareq was polite, quick and very generous. Tip: use their application for a discount. Halal ? : yes CASH ONLY

The premium pizzas are well worth the price and the chips with all the sauces , well well worth the try, better than any other places in Leicester

It has changed from 2000 but was near by and popped in and the service is a lot better fresh faces and listen to how I wanted my food

Prices are expensive through Uber Eats, but i guess that's understandable with fees etc. But the quality of the food was not good, chips were undercooked and greasy, same with the chicken, stomach feels bad for it next day.

Been going to this place since it opened and still one of the best in Leicester. Occasionally the batter comes away from fish which needs addressing. Otherwise keep it up and family always looks forward to a Shazmins.

Paid 28.00 for food that did not turn up. Stay away!!!

If there is a term called "Traditional Pizza of Leicester," then they own this title. Years after years, no one can make pizzas like Shazmin. I have tried lots of pizzas from different places, but after 1st bite, I always tell my family it's not like Shazmin. Their peri peri chicken the 2nd best thing from their kitchen 😋 👌 love the spice in it. I would say just get anything from here, and you will never be disappointed ever.

Fish batter was sloppy chips were not fresh. I asked for salt and vinegar but none on it. The skin on the wings was rubbery like they're old. I'll stick to an English chippy next time maybe then I'll get proper fish n chips

Good food as always. Disappointed that I ordered on their app which had a clear wait time. When I got there for collection at the time given, I had to wait a further 20mins to get my order. Understand they are busy but its their given wait time o the time which was 35mins from the time of order. Walk in customers were getting serviced before my order. Need to review your system.

Aaahhh the best spicy donnaaa! Can never fault it, recipe gets better and better, however it is a small portion for the price you pay, but I don’t mind that as long as it tastes great! The queues are mad but then again shows how great the business is doing! So well done to you all

Local Legend this place is older than i am but the food is still amazing just like when i was a child. I always opt for the donner kebab with chilli sauce which is mind blowing. Would definitely recommend ordering from Shazmins.

Great food, really famous for their: • masala fish and chips • special pizza • Spicy wings Managers and workers are good and friendly. You just need to make sure you keep repeating your order so that they don't mess it up or mix it up with others as it gets really busy.

Bro im from london finished a national express job looked for a takeway place to eat and found shazmins the chips not the same as london but taste 10x better, the lanb burger honestly you should see my face it tells its lovely and the wings I recommend this restaurant if anyones looking for a munch and the price decent 👍👍

Going in here, your gonna be in for a long wait just to be served, I get they were busy, but a 5min wait just for service!? Then i wait over 30 min for my food, when I was advised 15-20! The chips were average, rather oily (which is saying something for a chipy) staff are so busy they can't give you any service, except for the bare minimum. Not a good experience. I stopped going here many years ago, thought I'd see if it was worth going back to after 18 or more years, won't be going back. Good isn't that good here.

Had Shazmin a few times never been a problem but today ordered curry sauce and didn’t receive it and was to late when you get home with food then ordered a chicken wrap and the chicken was still hard and not cooked!! Waste of money this time and won’t be going back again

If you like Tangy Spicy Masala Fish or Chicken Strips and you are in Leicester City than you must not go for any other place other than Shazmin's they say it's a 30 year old Chicken Shop and we are glad we found it. I am originally from Karachi Pakistan and we find it hard to actually get the right sort of spice level that could satisfy our taste buds but this one is purely like eating from some restaurant in famous Burns Road Karachi. I ordered Masala Fish, Peri Peri Chicken Strips and Peri Peri Chicken breast. It's a shame this restaurant only opens in Evening and delivery takes about 45 mins so that's the only complain I have. Attaching the pictures and you can see the overloaded Masala all over meat it is the star of all these dish on the menu they mentioned it is spicy and can't be made mild but to my taste buds it's not unbearable Spicy rather it is Tangy and Spicy so taste really good specially the kids eat the masala with fries and find it Yummy.

Have always maintained a good fish, very important to me when it comes to fish and chips. Also the rest of the menu is good as well.

Since they started using their brand name on the packaging the owner of shazmins has started charging double price on all the items now and taste is gone down, I don't recommend shazmins anymore to my family bcoz of the high prices. Only big shot ppl can eat now from shazmins

I was hungry, I couldn't afford the fish, so I asked for just chips, but the staff member who served me showed kindness and compassion and gave me the fish as a blessing, it is rare to see such kindness, it was also an answer to prayer, may the Most High bless them for showing such kindness to one of his children, it is good to see such things, decency and kindness, I didn't say thankyou in the way that I should have, that is why I am writing this review, the staff at Shazmins have my respect and gratitude, I am not a man that gives out respect freely, so when I see something that is worthy of respect, I give much praise, because honorable actions are worthy of praise. they treat their customers as people worthy of respect, that in itself is a rarity, but add to it charity? that speaks volumes! Thank you again! To be rich without honour is as a beggar lying in the street, to be satisfied and have a good name is better than all the riches of the world, a good name is remembered for it's goodness, a bad name ? one desires to forget it quickly, Shazmins have earned their good name....may they be satisfied with goodness and good works!

Been having this since childhood. It’s just not the same anymore, not even close. Disappointing. They overdo the sauce in food please stop this. You make it difficult to eat in peace cause of the crazy amount of sauce you put, time is just spent removing the sauce.

Absolutely awful food. Been coming to Shazmins for many years but recently the last 3visits had very bad experiences. This time I brought large fish and chips, the fish was not fresh at all, all jelly inside and stale. Tastes like it i was eating straight out the river. Will never every order food from here again. As well as being extortion in prices the food is awful please stay away

this place is by far far most the best place to get top quality food with second to non quality service i love the fish and special doner pizza nice and meaty pizza for a reasonable price. the prices are cheap and for what we get i would pay more if i had to ,

I don't often leave reivews, especially bad ones that could potentially impact a business. However, the pizza I had from Shazmin's the other week was absolutely atrocious. Borderline inedible. Not only was it undercooked, you stuffed the inside with random bits of meat, covered it in cheese, sauce and onions and hoped no one would notice? The pictures below show what I found. That looks like the left overs you get from a doner - when you can't reach it with the cutter, the chunky scraps most takeaways would throw away. But no, not you guys. You used it on a pizza. It's vile. Sadly this is what happens to a business when they prioritise profit over quality. You charge extortionate amounts for substandard food, cut corners and have dreadful customer service. It's terrifying to think you are opening another branch on Melton Road.

Worst large chicken donner I've ever had. Went here expecting the fact that they've been around for a long time we'dget some decent food. Fistly ordered a large chicken donner. Paid £13.80 and got home within 20 min of receiving my food in the store I opened the box to taste some of the chips. I felt they were reheated. They weren't even hot so maybe they just were lying around. I was disappointed. And I opened the chicken donner but I saw a lot of paper rolls and it's too much oil!!!! And smell like so much chilli!!! It very unhealthy. But the staff is very rude as well. Stay away 0/5 rating!!

Awful for those with coeliac disease & despite it saying there's no gluten is certain dishes there's an obvious cross contamination and no warning. Gluten free is not just a diet but can have serious consequences so Shazmins needs to be more vigilant & ensure any customer's inquiring about gluten free options are told of cross contamination.

For the last couple of years I have been ordering pizza from Shazmin and I have been given great food and service however, 2 weeks ago I ordered pizza and it was not cooked fully (doughy) so I visited again today and I ordered pizza but explained to the staff that make sure the pizza is fully cooked but unfortunately I have been given the same type of uncooked pizza and I am very disappointed.

*STAY AWAY* 0/5 RATING!!! Worst fish and chips I've ever had. Went here expecting the fact that they've been around for a long time we'd get some decent food. Firstly was a rip off compared to average prices elsewhere in Leicester, they're charging extortion based on the fact that they've got themselves a bit of a reputation. And it seems they're banking on that 'reputation' and loyal customer base to get away with serving ghastly food. Ordered a large fish and chips. Paid £10.20. Got home within 5-8 mins of receiving my food in store and opened the box up to taste some of the chips. İnstantly felt they were reheated/ stale. They weren't even hot, so maybe hadn't even been reheated but just lying around.. and the way these chips were you'd think these chips have been sitting there for 24 hours! Coming to the fish, strong fishy smell which is a clear sign the fish isn't fresh. Batter wasn't crispy, and the smell was overbearing.. you don't get this with fresh fish. I didn't mention my thoughts to my wife who was with me but she instantly said the same thing. Not only that but a friend who I met at the shop ordering food later confirmed their chips were also stale and bad. I called up to be met with denial of any reheating of food and also claiming that due to Saturday night there was fresh chips constantly coming out the frier. The quality/taste of the chips was screaming otherwise! Strongly recommend people to stay away from this establishment, simply looting innocent customers providing unforgivable quality food. Many other better options around, which is what I did the same night. Got chips from somewhere else and could instantly tell the difference apart from freshly fried and stale old chips

Normally always great food, best chips and pizza. However on this occasion let. Ordered via app with a collection time. Got there and had to wait almost 15 mins. Chips and pizza base were under cooked and cold. No salt or chilli powder on the chips, only a large dollop of cheap ketchup. Shazmin's has modernised and using new packaging, but what's the use if the contents are no good. I'd rather have fully cooked, hot chips wrapped in newspaper. Come on Shazmin's.

The pizza is pretty on point, great quality for the price and despite it being 3 pizzas for 12 unlike others who do 3 for 10, it's actually quite the good deal so I do recommend it even if you buy only one.

If You don't want to read it all, in summary, never buy burgers here anymore, specifically strip burgers. They halved the size at some point while increasing the price. I do recommend the pizzas though. Absolutely abysmal, worst burgers in the area. I had a random thought that it would be annoying to get food poisoning before I got my burger, and then I tasted the burger, and it came too close to actually being poison. But first of all, let's start at the beginning, I go to buy the burger, was informed that Shazmin prepare burgers beforehand like Grillstop so you won't have to wait, but even if it took 5 minutes I didn't really care. They told me it would take 5 to 10 minutes, which is perfect, I can go home eat and pray my salah that I need to pray, took 15 minutes and I didn't end up having time to pray my salah, during the 15 minutes I witnessed an episode of Hell's kitchen without Gordon Ramsay of course and came home to a £2.30 strip burger worth less than 1 pound in other shops. The level of rip-off was too crazy. If it weren't for the fact that I'm a Muslim, I would have said some very harsh things not only here but to the staff themselves. Atleast the rage that was induced from the whole situation was atleast useful in helping me to get to the Masjid for Isha.
