The udon noodles are soggy, and the meat is chewy yet dry. I chose to order from this place because of the good reviews and hype, but this did not live up to expectations at all.

Worse service ever Placed a takeaway order and was told it would be 10 minutes , Waited patiently for 30 mins only to be told they didn’t have the item we ordered , when confronting the staff they changed there mind and said it would be another 10 mins for more chicken to be prepared No decency at all , even all the delivery drivers were just standing around waiting

I came to the store today and was served by lovely Fatima and Pritesh. They provided excellent customer service and welcomed me with a wonderful warm smile. They made sure my order was carried from start to finish and can I say the food and service is always so astonishing. Today Fatima, especially Pritesh went over and beyond to provide a wonderful customer experience! Big shout out to them! Thank you x

We ate early so not really any atmosphere. Food was nicely cooked but it was our first Korean meal and not sure what to expect. We watch a lot of Kdrama's on TV and when they order food they have lots of small bowls to share so we thought that's how it would be. Also we wanted to try Soju but not on sale so that was a bit disappointing.

The food is delicious, and it's definitely one of my favourites but the Queens Rd restaurant needs to decide what it is. Beautiful calm decor but then dreadful loud drum and bass/rap which rather ruined the ambience of my peaceful lunch. I do think the prices are rather inflated now, which is a shame and will make me visit less.

Halal verification certificate is expired over a week almost and they saying they are halal

Visited today, first time for a while. WHAT HAS HAPPENED HERE. ordered the same as we always have, and we both commented after 2 bites that this is a different meal completely. Bulgogi bowl and gochugang bowl, both just half full. No kimchi, no avocado, dried up small pieces of meat, barely any sauces or coriander, very few vegetables. But lots of rice and noodles, the cheapest ingredients. Even the wedge of lime was tiny and dried up, weeks old. Spoke to 2 staff members who assured me nothing has changed, company line obviously. Shame as was our go to for lunch whenever in fosse park. Will try Japanese or Thai next time.

Terrible they gave the whole wrong order we came and collected it I am so disappointed wasted over £35 for a completely wrong order I need a refund now !

Have always enjoyed the meals but unbelievably expensive now. I had a wrap and really small. Cost over £13. Although food nice I’m not ordering again as extortionate price for very small meal. Know costs have gone up but this is ridiculous

We dropped in to grounded kitchen while shopping in Fosse Park as the menu looked good and it wasn't at all busy. We ordered easily at the table with the QR code, where we able to make any adjustments to each dish, and the food arrived soon after. The food was tasty, and filled with plenty of good quality ingredients, especially the vegetables that were sweet, delicious and cooked perfectly. The price is perhaps a little bit high for the amount you get, but I don't mind so much as it was so good

Enjoyed a lunchtime bowl of chicken with udon noodles with a smoky and sweet sauce. The food was served at a nice temperature which was complimented with a pleasant degree of spice from the sauce. Their udon noodles were about 0.25cm in diameter and the chicken was cut into bite size chunks, which with the chopped peppers filled me up. I accompanied my meal with a Brain Power quencher. This pleasant blend went well with my spicy meal. All in all a place I’d like to return to.

Had ordered in, to takeaway a few times before. This time (09 June) was very disappointing. I took a picture of my partner's bowl which had no sauce. He still ate it but it wasn't what we paid for. My bowl, the tofu was cold, the last time it was warmed through really well. This time, the bowl was like a different one but it was the exact same I ordered the last time. Could a manager or someone please get back to me? I don't feel either of us got what we wanted, expected, or deserved given we paid good money for what is usually good. We would appreciate a free bowl each, to make up for this. I tried calling that evening but no one picked up. Also, when we entered there was no one at the counter. There was a girl stocking drinks who didn't even notice us and when we tried to say hello, she was so vacant and we had to prompt her to get someone to serve us. Really bizarre experience that evening.

Visited several times and always enjoy the food. Last visit collected food but paper bag ripped just outside my house! Most food was salvaged as in good containers but a couple of dishes ended on the drive... Rang , explained and had replacements ready despite past their normal closing time ! Great service. Thanks 👍

Used to love this place and was a regular customer but they've stopped doing their large size bowls and the regular is no where near big enough. Works out expensive if you add other items to your order rather than paying a bit more for a larger box. Won't be coming back.

Not sure whats happened to this place but food portions have been significantly reduced. There is barely any salad in the bowl and the food is drained in sauce and more often then not, items are missed. Quality and service needs to be revisited given the prices they charge as they have really lost their way

Chose this Korean restaurant at Fosse Park as it looked nice and did not have queues like many of the other restaurants. Good range of Korean food…but service was appallingly slow. 30 mins after our order, still waiting for food. Lots of other customers arrived, ordered and served and still waiting

Used to order from here regularly for years and loved it…however have recently been disappointed in quality. Portion size has been considerably reduced and prices increased. Items missing from bowls, no limes, minimal sauce, big chunky chicken bits not one bite size…on top of that a waiting time of half an hour for your order, only for the quality to be terrible. In the bid to add more items to their menu they have compromised on the things they were good at. Hope the comments are taken on board , unfortunately won’t be ordering from here again, until quality is restored.

The Bulgogi was a bit basic - no lime, a tiny bit of sesame, just a few pieces of peers, no spring onion, not much sauce, no mooli, minimal cashew, no crispy onion. Have had this before with much more in it. Gojuchanhg was OK. Delivery rider was great.

We ordered a takeaway from Deliveroo and were really shocked at the portion size. Each of our mains was around £14 and we got half a bowl’s worth of food, as seen in the pictures. We’ve previously had food from here that we’ve been happy with, but we wouldn’t order again after this experience unfortunately. Paying 11.95 for a gochojang chicken bowl and your bowl is 3/4 full. As a regular customer comming every Sunday to get 3 bowls and bumping in to different staff who underfill your bowl is very upsetting. I will avoid comming at 3pm now and defo will drive away if the English girl with glasses is there. This is very upsetting afyer paying so much money. Grounded kitchen was the best for me but I changed my opinion by this. I will give it one more chance next week.... To be continued

We ordered the food for collection and we opened it later on to eat. They completely forgot to add the sauce for my dish so it was dry. The team handled the issue well they re made the entire order, however we had to go out the house and collect it again which was frustrating. I would have appreciated a few extra bits for the troubles.

The new menu is very varied and lots of diff options for noodles/ramen/bowls etc. Recommend the wings and the dumplings, also the udon noodles. Great flavours! Friendly staff. Ate in for the first time, on weekday night. When we’ve ordered collection on Friday nights, it’s always late, hence knocked off a star. Old review Food still tasty and lots of vegs packed in. But very disappointing to see the prices have gone up significantly since lockdown... Not sure why. It’s expensive now for the amount you get; a regular bowl is £10! I’ll still visit but less often than previously.

Not as nice as it used to be....

First time here and first time trying Korean food. We entered at around 1pm and there were maybe 4 tables taken so plenty of space. Was told to take a seat and order using the QR code. We sat for half hour googling what the various sauces and dishes were. Some help from the staff would have gone a long way however no-one came to assist. The food was sweet. Maybe this is what Korean food is like. Not to our taste. The Bau Buns were nice with the Tempeh. Wouldn't go again.

We are big Grounded Kitchen fans and have eaten from here many times before. We usually order from Fosse Park branch or collect from this branch. This time the portion size was tiny (we ordered a large) and ingredients that were normally included seemed to be missing! Including the sauce that is normally generously piled on top. Will be making sure to only order from the Fosse Park branch from now on.

Visited this store for this first time and I was blown away. The que was backed out the door on black Friday. The staff kept the busy line flowing we nearly turned away at the sight of the que. The manager gave us some samples while waiting amd kept the que entertained with freindly banter. Had a gotchu chicken bowl was amazing. Will for sure be back again. Kid friendly they have high chairs and nappy changing facilities. Got 10quid of my meal which we had no idea about.

Hi I just had the angus steak bun with coleslaw on the side. It was fresh, hot and tasty. The steak was melt in your mouth awesome. The only problem I have is I could have eaten two. Will have it again. It’s a 10 from me !

Visited grounded kitchen and was served by Mateenah. Very professional and friendly. As soon as I came in, I was deciding on what to get. Mateenah approached me instantly and asked if I need help and recommended me to get the chickpea bowl. I got the chickpea bowl with her recommendation. She was very fast and gave amazing service. I can say the chickpea bowl was absolutely divine. I gave a taste to my husband and he said we have to go back for some more. Officially found our new favourite lunch spot! Highly recommend, all thanks to mateenah for the great service .

We travel from Nuneaton just to eat here sometimes... The staff are all amazing, so friendly and they always look like they are having a good time and like there job! ordered food through the self service table was dirty and waited 20 minutes and asked staff where our order was and was informed that they were making it still. after 30 min went back to ask for food and they pointed at the empty boxes and asked me to wait another 5-7 minutes to make . this all with easy observation that they were for filling other orders without giving our drink orders at the very least and then having the time to talk to a friend behind the counter which looked very much a reunion with not thought to inform why delays are happening. when informed i want a refund as food not made and we can’t wait any longer they proceeded to plead to wait and didn’t apologise at all. they then called their manager too which i explained we waited for 30mins and they are pointing at empty bowel she immediately apologised and issued a refund. last time going there.

Ordered from here yesterday evening, food is usually amazing along with the service. In fact I had great service when I ordered the food, but I specially asked for certain items to be packed separately. They mixed it up, which meant I delivered the wrong item to my other family members. I called up to express my disappointment and the first answer I got was, "we packaged it correctly there is nothing I can do". From there on, it was clear they were not willing to rectify the issue. In the end the lady agreed to swap the item, but it was too late and too far for me to go back. We were put off and didn't eat any of the food. I won't be coming here again simply because of the way I was spoken to on the phone which made me feel quite guilty.

Ordered via Deliveroo last night, food came promptly However, food was luke warm, only received 2 chicken wings out of 4, with sorry note saying they had run out of it. Would have appreciated a call from the restaurant letting me know so we could chose something else. No discount either! Poor value for money

This is by far my favourite eatery in Clarendon Park! They sell a delicious menu of Korean cuisine, which is very welcome even in a city known for its international restaurants. The great thing about Grounded Kitchen is that you can order ahead and collect food at their window, and they produce their delicious food *very* quickly. Moreover, their prices are excellent! I love the vibrant Korean dinner and lunch flavours, but their breakfasts - though very good - aren't worth buying in my opinion, because they're the kind of thing CPers could make at home. Service is personable and chefs work quickly, but I feel that they make mistakes (forgotten bag of food, forgotten cutlery, etc) more often than most take-aways (but maybe I'm just unlucky). I definitely recommend them as a take-away, because the indoor atmosphere is uninspired. Still, if compared to the kinds of places that focus on take away, this is would definitely rank among the best to eat at

I very rarely leave bad reviews but I feel compelled to do so on this occasion. I've just ordered some chicken noodles and got home. The portion size was half of what I normally get and the attitude of the staff both a male and female were very poor. They were more interested in their social media account then talking to me. Both playing with their hair as there image was more important to them .....that's the last time I go there! Waste of 10.95!

The portion was really filling and plentiful. For taste it is ok, will get by the, maybe not full Korean taste, but it will do if you want it curb the craving. The restaurant on queen's street, was bigger than I thought. They give you two options to order either at the till or QR on the table.

Gochujang chicken bowl without the Korean Kimchi and fresh chilli is really nice. I always go back for the same. Staff here are helpful. They made a mistake with my order once (added fresh chilli) but as soon as I told them, they told me they'd make another one and they brought it over pretty quickly.

I'd probably go 5star for food but 2 star for service. Food is great; tasty and different. But the service is lacking. We've been twice, both lunchtimes when it's not very busy. First visit service was slow but staff good, second visit service was very very slow and staff were lacking..... We (3 of us) ordered and waited, waited waited ...then it turned up. Food was good!!! When I then ordered an additional dish to take away it wasn't ready when it should have been (10minutes late for a specific pickup time) and there was an obvious disconnect between the server/front of house and the 'chef'; they literally didn't speak to each other in the 10 minutes I was standing waiting. When there is only two of them on a Sunday afternoon they need to work as a team. That didn't happen hence my delay and also for the 4 others that were waiting. I'd still go back but the 2 staff there on 24 April need to learn to talk to each other

The option to customize your bowl is great. Families, couples and individual diners will enjoy eating here! I heard so much about Grounded Kitchen and it did not disappoint. I took away bulgogi and prawn gochujang bowls. There was a surprisingly generous portion of beef/ prawn and vegetables in each bowl. Both delicious. The beef didn't taste of bulgogi but I enjoyed it nevertheless.

Always loved Grounded Kitchen, never had any problems or complaints with their food or service. Recently I met with a friend for dinner at their newer branch, Fosse Park, Leicester. 1 of the bowls had beef in it, this was supposed to be mushroom - my friend is vegetarian. On informing the staff the response was more than what you’d anticipate; multiple meaningful apologise, explanation as to how it happened. Replacement bowl prepared immediately, plus refund & free drink by way of further apology. Absolutely exceptional & all too rare customer service. Sorry I don’t have individual staff names, but Thanku🙏🏼

Wow. Just wow. As a visitor to this branch from the lands up north, I have to say my first thoughts, after finishing the meal, were around when I could come back and visit. The entire process from ordering with the friendly staff, to watching them work methodically to produce the food was fantastic. I must recommend the prawn gochujang: generous prawn quantity, wonderful flavours and the perfect balance of flavours. Just fantastic. I'll have to work my way through the menu on future visits to this wonderful place. Bonus marks to my nephew for the recommendation.

Nice food. Not a cheap lunch though. The price has gone way up since they first opened. 2 regular bowls+ delivery was £26. It's over priced for what you get in my opinion. I also noticed that the calorie content for the gochu chicken has increased quite abit from before as it's something I pay attention to.

My husband and I have visited the fosse Park branch tonight. We had to wait 45 mins for our food!!!! Our plan was to eat it warm in store but as we waited so long our children were tired and ready to go home. We took the food home only to find that the order was incorrect as my food was covered in chilli sauce. We specially asked for no chilli at all (fresh and sauce). So I spent £14 on a meal I couldn't eat after waiting 45 minutes. Sadly this isn't our first poor experience at grounded kitchen. We ordered a delivery in the past on 2 separate occasions when upon delivery the orders were incorrect. Its such a shame as the food is lovely. However, considering the cost and bad service we won't be coming back.

I have been having lunch once a week at the Queens Road restaurant for over 5 months on the same day. Not that the staff would know as, although friendly, you often see different faces and they do not seem one bit interested in getting to know their local or regular customers. I really enjoy many items on their menu, however wgen I arrived last week, same time and day as usual, queued for about 10 min to be told as I was ordering that there would be a very long wait and if I wanted lunch soon I should go somewhere else! I said I had 45 minutes a day was told it was no the right place for me that day! Now they only 2 tables occupied so I assume they had a lot of take away orders but I find it difficult to see how they would not be able to serve me in 45 minutes! I ALSO found it extremely unprofessional to tell a regular customer, hwho happens to be 9 months pregnant and has very obviously reduced mobility to just go.... Very disappointing experience. That is the end if me with this restaurant The food is good but not worth this kind of treatment . I recommend Bombade who recently opened and welcomed me with friendliness, although busy, like a local eatery you feel comfortable in and want to go back to.

Superb Korean restaurant on Queens Road offering delicious bowls of food with a friendly fast service. Sit in or take away. Parking is streetside. The vibe is contemporary, with wooden tables and bamboo chairs. The food is extremely fresh, fragrant, healthy and tasty! ....excellent with generous portions. Lots of vegetarian and vegan choice too. We had bulgogi prawns and sweet potato and edamame schichimi bowl, Plenty of other choice including baos, Well worth a visit. They are quite popular.

(Queens Rd Restaurant) - visited to 'dine in' for the first time yesterday. The service was incredibly warm and welcoming, from being personally shown to wear the restrooms were located, to a member of staff observing we looked a bit cold outside and asking if we'd like the outdoor heating switched on. In terms of the bowls, these are concoctions or pure deliciousness. Do not be mistaken in thinking these are just 'salad bowls' - they are a super filling, myriad of flavours and textures - what they manage to do with the mushrooms and aubergine you would not think you are eating vegetables.

Visited the Fosse park store today.. We ordered 3 rice bowls. The first bowls which came out were really cold and the chicken was chewy and disgusting.. we sent them back and the team made us some fresh bowls.. the second bowls took over 20 mins to come out and the manager of the store I found was patronising and rude when she explained the bowls come with salad therefore we should expect the content to be cold, I expect the salad to be cold but not the chicken.. She was slapping her hands together as she explained which I found a little aggressive and stand offish. I have had these bowls before plenty of times from the queens road store and kings street store when it was in town and they were never this disgusting.. the food was very dry with hardly any sauce and lacked flavour, it also had a massive chunk of avocado which was still raw so I couldn’t eat it. Just a horrible experience today. So disappointed. Feel like they are expanding at the expense of customer experience and flavour.

Note, this is for the Fosse Park branch We've been to the Queen's Road branch and have been waiting in anticipation for this branch to open..... What can be said? Fresh and flavoursome, the food was absolutely amazing. I was left speechless with the bowl that I had, The Buldak Fire with Angus beef. You can taste different flavours with each and every mouthful and I think that's what makes it so tasty. With each bite, you get different vegetables and sauces. The Angus beef was so tender and the rice was also soft. The staff were also amazing and very accommodating and made my bowl just the way I like it....with extra chillies! It wasn't cheap but for the portion size, for me, definitely worth it. They also state the calories in the meal, which is a massive plus. All in all, very satisfied and if you want fresh and healthy Korean food, this is the place to go!!
