Not a bad cafe and I was pleasantly surprised. I came because it was bank hols and everywhere I normally eat was closed so it forced me to find another place. It's was good but anywhere that doesn't do plum tomatoes can't have 5 stars I'm afraid, salad tomatoes don't cut it and clue is in the name...salad lol. Otherwise it was clean and the service was ok well when they weren't playing on their phones with noises 🤦🏻‍♂️

Where do I start? With the late delivery, poor service or shocking food? Bread, chewy greasy undercooked. Eggs poor, Fried Bread taste like charcoal, mate said worst Latte he has had. Great way to go into 2023, poor food and dissapointment.

Popped in for some warm food but wanted something different other than a fry up. I had ham,egg and chips with a cappuccino and wasn't disappointed. Great staff and nice atmosphere.

Friendly staff and a good atmosphere, I found myself coming back here time and time again for their burgers.

I love their roasts which are available as deliveries as well. Best Sunday roasts at a great price!

The food was awful. We went for lunch and their fries were overcooked, chicken was testless.

My nan and I decided to treat ourselves, ordered baguettes and apple pie for us both, arrived promptly by a lovely delivery man and my nan cannot stop raving about how much she loved the apple pie and wants more, will definitely be ordering from here again!

My wife and I occasionally get a nice roast delivered from here. A roast dinner can be very hit or miss, depending on how it's prepared, but this cafe serves a superb meal. Vegetables with the right amount of bite, meat that melts in the mouth and no shortage of gravy. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a hearty meal.

Worst quality food I have EVER had, chewy bread, grey egg and poorest quality under cooked sausages. Couldn’t eat even a bite. Also drinks were warm. Phoned the cafe to have the owner shout at me down the phone and hang up on me. Awful.

Absolute rubbish, lying about delivery times and obviously under staffed as it took 1hr 40 to deliver 2 sandwiches.

We ordered two breakfasts for delivery this morning and were absolutely delighted with what arrived. Both of us enjoyed the breakfasts more than our usual cafe. It was very well cooked and the hash brown was so tasty! It came in a styrofoam tray with separate sections for the beans which was great as the hash brown was still crispy when it got here. Very quick delivery too - it arrived 10 mins earlier than expected. Would definitely recommend.

I complained to the shop owner how horrible the food was. I ordered fish and chips, sausage and cheese, a sausage baguette and a cherry pancake. Everything was horrible. The owner clearly doesn't care about his customers opinions he was so rude to me telling me that oh my shop is always very busy and he gets no complaints and I say that's not true and telling me that just eat only has good reviews when he is clearly in denial and I want my money back. I will never buy from them again he literally told me you don't like it don't buy again like what the hell? He is so rude.

Don't be fooled, everything they cook, you could buy in the tesco frozen section. A joke to say they cook fresh ingredients. The sausages were bland, fish overcooked and tastes like birds eye. Had the cheek to use tined cherries and fridge packed pankakes. Would recommend getting the co~op 5 pound deal rather than waste your money.

Good cafe offerings, plenty to choose from. Welcoming people and food served in very quick time. In the heart of the shops is an ideal place to spend half an hour for a bite to eat and a drink.

Absolutely appalling, ordered through the just eat app, order was confirmed and was given a delivery time. Then the food never turnt up. I rang the cafe several times none of which were answered, I also left a message and that was never returned. Will never order from them again and I advise other people to go else where too.

Mi pareja y yo pedimos un desayuno para la entrega. Tuve una experiencia muy pobre y la suya fue promedio, pero me estoy enfocando en la mía en esta revisión. Pedí un desayuno vegetariano, las salchichas estaban repugnantes, los huevos estaban cubiertos de un residuo negro, lo que probablemente significa que se cocinó en una sartén sucia o con carne, ambas opciones inaceptables. Terminé tirando TODO mi desayuno, solo comí un hash brown que estaba bien. Tuve que cocinar mi propio desayuno. ¡Perdida de dinero!

We have ordered off just eat plenty of times and food always great ,food always gets delivered on time or before, driver always polite and helpful, we decided to call in the cafe today for the first time as we were passing, we couldn't fault it, the food and service great as always, we have tried other cafe's for delivery but have always used lodge causeway cafe since first used, cannot fault them thanks .

Amistosa cuchara de grasa caff; bastante vacío a las 0830. El personal estaba teniendo su brekkie. Espresso, no realmente espresso, demasiada agua. Probablemente sea más seguro tomar una taza de té. Tuve el desayuno pequeño; era bastante grande en realidad. Buen valor

How easy is it to make a standard coffee this place has a great coffee machine but the staff have not been trained how it works. Result a coffee that is week and over hot. The machine is not backed washed either. A great shame as the cafe is in a good location but sadly the reviews on here are on the whole bad. Costa prices for low quality and the solution is simple and costs nothing!

Another great breakfast. We have eaten in a few times but have also used justeat to get a brekkie delivered on a rainy day!..Great value for money

New management and done out lovely. Staff are friendly and the place is inviting. Omar great with the customers. Cheap place to eat...breakfasts are fabulous. Would be a great evening cafe/takeaway if they considered extending their hours. A great community place and well needed on lodge causeway

Poor customer service - staff had no manners, disgusting food, in relations to very low hygiene. Staff had too much arm hair which was incredibly off putting!!!

Food had hair all over it, the food was not cooked at all. The sarcastic and rude workers made me feel unwelcome. Never experienced anything like this i'm shaken.

This was the worst food I have ever had, we ordered the beef and lamb roast dinners, it was inedible, no taste to the lamb, carrots were chewy other veg was rubbery, all went in the bin, the cheese cake looked off, curdled and would of probably given us food poisoning, paid £17 and it went in the bin, this place could use some cooking lessons. VILE, will never order from there again

We ordered some bacon baguettes and a ham salad. The baguettes were sub standard and the salad is a complete rip off. You would expect quality ham but they have given us the cheapest kind of ham slices. And the salad is mostly ice berg lettuce.

just like to say ordered x2 roast dinners for delivery @ 3PM told that would arrive @ 3:55pm rang them @ 4:20 to be cut off then rang back at again to be told very busy will be with you very soon. tried to ring again @5pm but no answer.. food never arrived!!..spent another hour trying to get my money back from just eat which were very helpful unlike this lot!!...thanks guys.

Ordered Sunday roast and food was not delivered. Rang restaurant 30minutes after was supposed to have arrived to be told they are very busy and it won't be long. Waited another hour and still no good!! Tried ringing again and couldn't get through and now they are closed. Paid by card😡😡

I have to say this café is excellent, I use this café nearly all the time for food delivery, it Is first class ,Today I ordered a full breakfast, and a lasagne for tea, good value and customer service is brilliant, I have used this café for a considerable time and not once have they let me down, I totally recommend them, and would all day long Great café....

We ordered breakfast which was good value for money. The problem is when the smokers go outside for a cigarette the smell and smoke gets blown into the café, there were about 5 people outside smoking which included the chef & waitress and I think I was getting more of their cigarettes than what they were. PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR.

It is customary to be charged around £8.95 for a Sunday carvery almost everywhere, at this lovely little cafe on Lodge Causeway you get a full roast dinner with 4/5 vegs for £5. Even the roast lamb is only £5.50! I had to take some home last time as I couldn't eat it all. The staff are nice and friendly and even bring the meal to your table. Want more gravy? Just ask, apple sauce with you roast pork? No problem. I only hope they don't go out of business due to their low prices. Sounds like I work there doesn't it? No, I'm just a guy who is glad they are there when I need them.

In fairness as a regular customer this has only recently happened and cafe attempted to rectify it. The meals are normally very wholesome and nutritious but I'd not recommend the breakfasts unless you like hard rubbery eggs and barely cooked bacon.

Had salad in my burger and asked for no salad and I'm allergic to cucumber and had to throw the burgers away because can eat anything that has been touched by cucumber

2nd Roast delivered by these guys and again fabulous for the money. Delivered 15 mins earlier then expected, tasty and loads of gravy. Loved it !

Brilliant service, at a great price food arrived hot ready to eat the driver was very polite and I was able to pay weekly in advance so no messing with money just picked my meal and it arrived everyday within ten mins of the alloted time couldn't ask for more ….. Hit try there transitional puds treat yourself well worth it. Delicious roast beef and highly recommended,thank you❤️

Food took over 2 hours to get here. The only positive thing I can say is when I rang the café the lady on the phone was really polite. Other than that, the food was barely warm, the fried toast was unbelievably oily and my extra requests for no mushrooms on one breakfast and no tomatoes on the other were ignored. All in all the food was rushed, not cooked well and we were offered no discount or anything for the extremely slow service.

I must say that was the best breakfast I have had. The whole household is full. Thankyou for a very good service and even better very good food. Highly recommended

Firstly, we ordered at 1.05 and food got to us at 1.20!! We were soo happy as we were both starving and craving a nice breakfast! The food was lovely and it was massive (large breakfast with toast) we will defo be ordering again (numerous times)

Well, what an amazing Sunday Roast Dinner Plenty of everything, meat perfect, fresh veg cooked perfectly. Yummy roast potatoes and Yorkshires. Delivered in 40 minutes, 5 minutes early. Looking forward to the Apple Pie and custard but feel so stuffed its going to have to wait. No need to cook a Sunday roast again. Highly recommended

Don't deliver what been ordered. Chicken undercooked, chilli sauce - ridiculously hot (extremely hot what you can't taste the undercooked chicken), chips - rubbish...only can advise this place to an enemy.

Shish Kebab was partly uncooked, with hardly any salad and uncooked pita. Kofta Kebab was very dry. Delivery was fast and polite. Will not order from Lodge Causeway Cafe again, very sorry.

Placed an order which we are still waiting for. Claimed they were outside my house for half an hour although the children are playing in the front garden. I did give the incorrect phone number but that's not excuse for not coming to my house and lying about it. Not happy at all

Won't be ordering from here again. After an hour of waiting, I called them up only to be spoken to like I'm some idiot. He told me to check my email because it hasn't been an hour. Then when I confirmed it's been OVER an hour he says " oh yeah, your order hasn't left anyway". Shocking! Not even an apology, and when I confronted him, he tells me 'not to speak to him like that', "who do you think you are". I'm someone who's money you'll never see again.

Ordered for some friends, they were very happy with quality and price.

We use this takeaway quite frequently and have never had a bad meal. The delivery staff are always pleasant. The food is as you'd expect for a takeaway and always warm to hot in temp. We will happily continue using this takeaway 👍👍
