Cats Whiskers in Scarborough

Great location…….that’s it, we had Whitby scampi. The chips and peas were really cold, the scampi was swimming in grease and soggy. Gammon again cold chips, salty poorly cooked meat. A real disappointment and no staff about to ask about it they were outside having a fag 🤦‍♀️

Had a cheese and ham toastie very poor with only 1 slice of the thinest supermarket ham bread was very dry when charging approx £7 the least you expect is proper ham unable to raise issue with staff as they were busy and would mean having to queue afain to speak to someone

Called here for a latte yesterday with hubby to rest our legs what a lovely place. The staff are lovely and friendly the coffee spot on and the cakes looked amazing but I’m eating healthy so didn’t try any.

It was a busy morning and although the food was lovely and the serving staff were great it took us 55 mins to get scrambled eggs on toast and a sausage and bacon sandwich. A lovely location but be prepared, fast food it isn't.

Really good place too eat. The 2 ladies are really friendly. I am vegan and my boyfriend is vegetarian so I am aware that we are not the easiest to accommodate. However the 2 ladies were really nice and very accommodating. Would highly recommend. Will definitely come back

Well as you will see I have visited this joint on a previous occasion and was not left with the best impression. I am delighted to say that the ladette's running the place have clearly taken my advice and upped their game. I was on a flying visit to Scarborough to re-assert my authority and thought i'd stop here for a spot of tea and scandal. Delicious scrambled eggs on toast. I can tell the eggs were free range (explains the noises coming out of the kitchen). Also nice to see to poor attitudes have been dropped. A few members of staff were two tomatoes short of a salad last time and it was nice to see that they have clearly received their P45s. I plan to return next time with a few friends. Are you hosting for Xmas luncheon? A copy of the a la carte menu in advance would be greatly appreciated. Anyhow well done again. Hopefully all this talk of Starbucks opening near by isn't true. Doubt you're spiced pumpkin latte matches up to theirs even if yours is more expensive. I have noticed your prices have gone up! Hopefully to fund a re-deocration. Till next time x

this is a lovely little place that has not airs and graces about it but is friendly and accommodating.

friendly ladies but need better class of coffee mine was milky no taste... got a beanz on toast all clean and tidy just more than average price wise sorry x

This café is my favourite, I have been going in for breakfast/lunch since I was little. I always take my friends & family there and they all love it too. :) x

Me and my husband have called into the Cats Whiskers every year since our last review, and it is STILL Excellent....We had a lovely friendly welcome from staff and customers alike.We had hot food on hot plates, you'll see from our last review, a Full English for my husband with a mug of tea, and for me Cheese and Mushrooms on toast, with my favourite Banana milkshake. Yummy.The cafe has a cosy and charming atmosphere. Good quality food at reasonable prices.The Cats Whiskers is a must, I don't think you'll be disappointed..Thanks Sue & Steve from Warrington

Excellent Panni's - great value for money. Staff always helpful. Great place for lunch . Great little cafe.

Clean, basic menu but served charmingly. You always see an interesting character or 2 in there. Hidden away its well worth seeking out.

Visitaremos scarborough durante una semana cada año y los gatos los bigotes es 5 puertas de nuestro hotel. Tenemos desayuno en allí todos los días. Las mujeres son encantadores y muy amables. Y la comida es una maravilla. Cuidado chicas eran la próxima semana. 11 de julio xxx

¿dónde empezar. Vine aquí con un muy, muy famoso. Cucharas estaba cerrado, pero este lugar es prácticamente la misma, té y butties. Las camareras parecen pensar que son las abejas las rodillas. Número uno hay muchos de ustedes, me sentí una emboscada. Es difícil llevar todo lo que una vez me mucho en sobre la lectura la pequeńa periódico. Y ya cuando se 3 personal hornear una buttie. Y quemado! Jamón era asqueroso. El inodoro en su establecimiento es totalmente asquerosa. Se siente como mi infancia en días caravana Skegness. Incluso el monstruo sin. Otros clientes son intrusivos. Esto claramente se debe ejecutar como miembro de un club privado porque todo el mundo parece conocerse y como que se entrometan en negocios a los recién llegados. Muy curiosos, preguntar sobre los precios personal casa de Mónaco. Los clientes parecían saber cómo muchas señoras he!! La señora italiana que estaban golpeando sobre cómo aprendió sus recetas en Italia. Ya que cuando no hacen grasienta porciones de pizza con una orden lado de mala actitud. Se entregará a ellos aunque extremadamente gay friendly. Vine con mi amigo transexuales y pagado de atención al servicio de atención al cliente. Me sentí muy intimidado, tuve que tomar mi aretes cartier en caso la gente intentó un truco de magia en mí. En una nota, chaqueta de patata delicioso. Spuds eran claramente caseros. Estoy considerando invertir para hacer que este lugar el número 1 conjuntos en Scarborough. Muchas posibilidades no puedo esperar a juicio de nuevo. Me quedé impresionado por las camareras habilidades plurilingüe en Ruso Árabe y Hindi.

Este es un maravilloso lugar para comer. La comida es fabulosa y el personal es amable y acogedor. Mi familia y yo hemos comido aquí varias veces como vivimos localmente y cada vez la comida ha sido maravilloso y el personal del mismo. Se lo recomendaría a cualquiera, joven o viejo.

Popular with locals, providing good basic wholesome food in plentiful quantities. Friendly and welcoming, the food is prepared to order. Chose this rather than eat hotel breakfast.

De todos los restaurantes que visitamos en nuestro viaje, éste fue el mejor! ¿Por qué? Las mujeres aquí realmente se preocupan por lo que hacen y quieren asegurarse de que lo que te dan es realmente lo que quieres. Nos metimos en un brunch y mi poco chica no se sentía bien - las mujeres fueron todos muy amables ... hicieron que ella bollos con un poco de mantequilla y un té y llegó a ver cómo ella era - todos tuvimos un desayuno y mi otra hija tenía un panini y todo fue genial cosas - gracias señoras.

When in cat whiskers in cala bono the food is great for value and I had a toastie wih crisps and .the toastie was really nice and could not eat anything for ages. They price is good and we went back to twice and the staff are really lovely

We come from Warrington to Scarborough for a day out on the train, and our first port of call is always the Cats Whiskers, a very friendly and warm welcome from the staff, my husband had a full English breakfast, and mug of tea, I had cheese and mushrooms on toast, yummy, and a milkshake, the breakfast was a great start to the day, shame we were so full up, could have ate it again!!Excellent food, at a very reasonable price, and the staff are lovely. Been going to the cats whiskers for over 16 years on a regular basis and the quality of staff is outstanding the food is is very good for the price and doesn't break the bank you may sometimes have to wait for cooked food but it is well worth the wait as you know it is freshly made to order coffee is excellent sometimes you have to wait for a seat as it is that popular and I've eaten at some cafés but this one comes out best and to put up with me that's saying something as I'm very particular about food and they are always willing to help don't just take my word for it try it for yourself

Hidden away 30 yards from the main street opposite Mecca Bingo the Cats Whiskers serves the best and cheapest cappuccino in town at £1.30. Whether you want an all day breakfast, just something on toast or a refreshing salad this long established Scarborough institution has something for everyone be you resident or visitor. If you're from Yorkshire or Scotland the VFM is outstanding!

I used to go to this cafe with my mum, many years ago. Although the owners have changed, the good atmosphere remains. The staff are lovely, the food is great and reasonably priced, lovely coffee. Always clean. Toilets down a few stairs, very clean. Highly recommend. I visit regularly with my friend. I'd rather support this local business than go to a chain.

A lovely little cafe hidden away in a Scarborough side street but worth finding. Only a minute from the Brunswick Shopping Centre. Excellent value for money for drinks and snacks, the coffee is excellent. Family run with very friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit.

Excellent value and pleasant with itGood breakfast. Just the place to see off the night before with a full English breakfast and coffee or two.Will be back.

A small friendly cafe, everyone assured a warm welcome, The menu is reasonable for the intimate size, about 20 covers. The toilet is down a set of narrow stairs, not suitable for anyone unsteady on their feet.If you are in the town and want a reasonable quaility lunch at a very good price, this is the place for you.
