Caffe Nero - Leicester Gallowtree in Leicester

I came yesterday for coffee. It's nice place but service was horrible. Staff were to busy talking about own things instead serve customers.

Had to wait to be served as she was talking to another employer and could not b bothered to serve me the customer until she had finished her conversation.flat whites were poor.had far better.Also £3.65 for a flat white you are taking the P. !... will not be using neros again.

Staff too busy chatting about their weekend to serve customers. Totally ignorant of customers and took a long time to get served even though it wasn’t busy. Would have been nice if they’d bothered to pause their conversation to be with the customers. Also the staff didn’t seem to know the difference between a flat white and a cappuccino. Won’t be going back.

Nice place but please cook your pastries properly , croissant had dough inside & also our fruit one , see pic Head office please provide training

I have been there many times and I was pleased every time. The coffee is excellent! The different cold drinks are tasty and sweet. I have many combinations that I really enjoy. A flat white with hazelnut syrup is brilliant for the morning. I defenately recommend coming here.

For en gang skyld gik det rimeligt hurtigt med at lave 1 Te og en kaffe. Dejlige stole vi sad i, så ikke noget at klage over. Tak for kaffe.

We popped in as a family of 5 for coffee and cake. It's a really nice setting and has an excellent selection of cakes and drinks. Used this chain loads of times before but first time in Leicester - we will definitely visit again.

This is a consistently good coffee shop for a chain. The coffee is so much better than other chain' coffee, and nearly as good as some independent coffee shops, such as Merchant of Venice by the station. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Was there just after early opening at 7am and staff geared up to serve from opening...not 10 mins later like some coffee shops.

The member of staff that served me was nice and efficient. They kept the place as clean as they could for lunchtime. I would have repeated visits here when I’m back in the city. Keep up the good work

Rude staff. I was with my partner and a friend who was visiting from The Netherlands. We were made to feel very uncomfortable. The good thing is they have a fast turnover so hopefully things will improve.

Very friendly staff lots of choice in hot and cold drink great variety of cobs and sandwiches and snacks

Came here as needed a cooling drink in the hot weather. Fantastic server, sorry didn't get his name. Gave good advice on which drink i would like. Excellent service, would come here again.

Just what I have come to expect from Caffe Nero: fast service, a good cappuccino and comfortable seating with free wifi.

Good coffee well prepared. Staff have been helpful when I have a question. The leather chair seating is comfortable for a long paper read when not rushed.

The service here was good, including staff asking a rather noisy gentleman to be quiet. Lots of comfy chairs and good coffee, the best of chain coffee for me, newspapers and good background music. All, this makes for a much better experience than most other chains. And this is a good branch.

had a panini and a latte, caffe neros cafe is the best! has all those nice flavours, and on the regural price, much better than costa or starbucks!

Popped in, lovely friendly staff. Makes a difference when you are greeted with a smile. Two smashing coffees and lemon drizzle cake and we sat outside. Lovely day as well. Excellent!

Coffee great as usual, service alright as well, but please repair the upstairs loo, the disabled toilet downstairs isn't enough and rather unclean. Thanks.

Hemos venido aquí mucho y aunque ha tenido sus altibajos a lo largo de los años he de decir que ha mejorado mucho desde que la nueva directora se hizo cargo. Hay una gran zona de estar abajo, pero la mayoría de clientes como para sentarse arriba o fuera donde se puede ver el mundo pasar. El café es bueno, lo que es más coherente de lo que se puede decir de tirar dados y tratando un independiente. Es posible que acabe con cosas desagradables amargo hechas con una porción de frijoles - significa que nunca tendrá que en un Nero. Puede conseguir 6 estrellas si lo invertido en una reforma de los aseos...

Fácilmente el mejor lugar para un café en el centro de la ciudad de Leicester durante los últimos 10 años. El Director T.K. brinda un excelente servicio.

Some years ago, this place was OK. It has always been relatively expensive, on par with Costa, but its central location means that paying a little extra to sit down doesn't feel too much of an inconvenience. Staff are usually friendly. Unfortunately, the state of the toilet is always shocking. Imagine the worst, and multiply that by four to get an accurate reflection of what you will find lurking in there. At the very least, you will be walking through other people's pee to get to the loo itself. If you can find bog roll, much of it will likely be on the floor. Need I go on?In my opinion, if an outlet serving food cannot keep its toilet hygienic, then it should not be trading. Clearly, in this case, they think that only what people see on the outside matters, since that's what brings in the money. I for one will not be going back and would suggest those possibly needing the loo after/before eating go to Brucciani's across the other side of Gallowtree Gate. Great service there always, and a decent, clean loo, too!

Very busy coffee shop especially at lunchtimes. Staff always friendly and very helpful. In my opinion the snacks are very expensive so I just have a drink

One of the best places in Leicester to watch the world go by., as it's on the route between the Town Hall and the City Hall. Staff very accommodating and the coffees went down well.

The food can be a bit bland. Not sure how long they leave the cakes for - a few days I suspect. The coffee is good. Good place for people watching. Opens early.

The wind was howling and the rain was pouring down as we decided to take respite in Caffe Nero. There was a long que in front of us, but we were soon sitting with delicious Coffee and pastries. The place appeared very popular and there was a constant stream of people coming in. This was our first time visiting the Leicester branch, but we will be back.

I love this coffee shop. It has the most delicious Belgian hot chocolate drink which is so soothing on cold day. The seating area are comfortable making you feel relaxed. They have variety of cakes and bakes.Great to sit and also work in nice environment. I also recommend the chai latte which has beautiful scent of cardamom. Lovely

I visit this coffee shop very regularly, well I used to. The shop is now understaffed for the level of demand due there being an abundance of office workers in close proximity. There is usually 1 or 2 people working behind the counter (these same people then make the coffee). I can no longer pop in inbetwee meetings as I know I'll be there for 10-15 minutes at least due the queue and slow service. A few weeks ago the manager noticed how long I'd been waiting AFTER ordering my coffee and offered the coffee for free, which at least shows they acknowledge the issue but they just need to now address the issue.Some of the staff are rude. However the Black gent is very friendly and is an example of how the others should be. The decor is now beginning to show its age and could do with a bit of an update. The tables and sofas etc have all seen better days.

Coffee ok as usual but why charge extra for Lacto milk? Nice and clean, relaxing background music rather than a loud conversation killer. A smile might not go amiss.

Coffee is ok I find it's always stronger here than Costa and Starbucks. Bit disappointed that I was charged extra for Soya milk when most places I have been able to do a free swap.Staff seemed unhappy and didn't want to talk at all.

Came here for a coffee, it was on a sunday afternoon where it was pretty quiet. The woman serving us seemed impatient and inexperienced, 3 times I had to tell her I wanted cream on my mocha. The place looks tired with tables left uncleaned, cleaning products left around and the furniture looking like it had better days. Won't come back here again, much better coffee shops to try nearby.

went just before christmas. it was very busy. only had 2 staff on but no more than that would fit behind their counter anyway. seating is extremely tight. the girl who served me (black with black hair) was VERY RUDE, HAD NO PATIENCE and thought she was above everybody in the cafe. she obviously doesn't enjoy her job very much.Cookies were very nice, as was the christmas cake

Well-run halt on Leicester's main route from station to city centre. Efficient and friendly service in a place small enough to be cosy. Three outside tables catch the morning sun - excellent for people-watching.

Was on lunch beak today in town and decided to go get a quick iced smoothie as I wanted something refreshing. Went to Caffe Nero. Nice experience, friendly staff and a really tasty iced mango and passion smoothie. Was £3.25 which was not bad as it sure was nice. They accept American Express too which was a good bonus. Would definitely recommend and go again.

I usually pop into this caffe about once a week, the staff are always friendly and greet you with a smile but most if all they remember my usual drink that I have. The place also has nice ambience with seating upstairs and downstairs.
