Im pregnant and was feeling hungry so I popped into this cafe wanting a coffee and something to eat. Was not given a menu, was just told they have what’s in the glass box. Ordered a cappuccino which was nice. Also ordered a steak and potato pie pastry. It was weird as it was only lunchtime and there was only one of each item in the box and the shop was empty. Then noticed a menu and ordered a cheese cob…. Never again would I buy food from here. £2.20 for the pastry and £1.80 for the cheese cob which had nearly no cheese inside, what a joke and waste of money. When I got home and ate I noticed a while after bad stomach pains and I was in the toilet for the rest of the day and throughout the night. Makes me wonder if the foods even fresh, that was defo the steak pastry, it was so dry and didn’t seem freshly made that day. I can go highfeilds and get fresh food from a bakery at a fraction of the price. Never again!!

A cosy place to stop by for a little warm drink or a snack. This place holds soo many memories for me. I would recommend coming here.

The family who run this shop are great 👍 and the food I have had many times is delicious, plus if you like hot or cold or spicy it's a great place to go.

What can I say …… don’t waste your time ordering food here as this cafe doesn’t deserve yours or anyone else’s business….. it’s serving up a dry bun and a frozen strip as a zinger burger and potato chips which will break your healthy teeth…. Be warned don’t eat here …… I wish someone warned me it’s just a joke ….. it’s amazing how this country will allow anyone to just open and sell poison….. No food quality or hygiene here …..

I recently moved to the area and was happy to see a local coffee shop, I have tried the food from Blends which is really nice my favourite is the green chilli chicken baguette, however every time I visit the service is very slow and the coffee isn’t consistent, the first time I went the coffee was great and I was told there was decaf available, I’ve visited again today and asked for decaf but was told there is none, the coffee was also very bitter and is not pleasant to drink, disappointed in my wasted visit, I will think twice about hot drinks from here in the future, it’s a shame as it can be a really nice place to visit if they just improved the service and were consistent with drinks

Outstanding little cafe, a little cold in the winter (to be expected) but honestly a lovely place to stop and have a drink and hot/cold food. Milk alternatives too. Oat and soya.

Nice place but my word 2 breakfasts 19 quid never again could have gone cedars and had steak and a bottle wine for 23 quid

WoW where do I start nice outside and ditto on the inside very clean and moden. Upon entering the member of staff was polite and helpful. I ordered my food and drink and this was bought out to my table with a good sel of condiments, The food was good size and full of taste and the cuppa wasn't a cheap make was a good cuppa. The prices was fare (really cheap in moden day) Overall very happy with this place give it a try they do breakfasts to lunch.

Nice cafe, but service really slow.

Went for a breakfast at this cafe , not sure if its a cafe or a vaping lounge for kids. Very poor as paying customers we had to sit through people vaping who were clearly not paying customers

This is a really friendly place… i was served by a young man who was so kind and a credit to the cafe. He was attentive and looked after me as I was on my own waiting for someone.A lovely young man, a credit to his family, and made very good coffee!

My pistachio iced latte was not blended. Could've done a better job making this at home. £4.50 down the drain.

Definitely a place to visit! I have dined in and ordered through Deliveroo several times! They had very friendly staff and welcoming too. Great choice of foods and snacks to choose from. I would recommend them and would definitely visit again soon.

Went here on recommendation the other day. BLOWN AWAY. The food and service were spectacular. So much thought was put into the food aswell as presentation. Allot of places claim to serve the best but only a few live up to that claim. Delicious food and desserts. Family thoroughly enjoyed it too. Also had options for those inclined to the healthy lifestyles. Ticks all the boxes. Marvelous. Keep serving. I'll definitely keep eating here. Thankyou

Excellent place to have breakfast, friendly staff who are warm and welcoming and the ambience chilled out and relaxed. I've eaten here on many occasions with a big group of friends and we have all thoroughly enjoyed it every time. My particular favourite is the desi breakfast which is really delicious. The staff always go the extra mile and cannot do enough to make you feel completely at ease and comfortable. My friends and I highly recommed this place to have good timesm good food and make fond memories. You guys are the best!

You often feel disappointed when the promotional pictures do not match the actual visit to a cafe/restaurant but Cafe Blends did not disappoint. As I stepped in, the owners greeted me with a huge smile and took me to my seat. I was immediately struck by the high end quality of the decor and furnishings. It really did feel like I was eating out at a high end restaurant but without having to pay the price of one. The food was amazing - I ordered a selection of American breakfast dishes. All presented beautiful with a first class service. I would strongly recommend this place for a couples night out or with the whole family. I shall be going again.

Went for breakfast ( Full English) with some friends , very good price, lovely food..was a little busy but food still came out nice and quickly! Well worth a visit, and staff go above and beyond! Much needed in this area and will definitely be visiting again.

A friend took me to Blends for breakfast and I have to say I was really impressed. Food was delicious, had a desi breakfast, and the chai was spot on. The staff and the owner were really friendly and went out of there way to make sure our experience was a good one. Would highly recommend 👌

Good decent food, nice coffee and plenty of space to sit in. Been a number of times and never disappoints.

Lovely little cafe, and a quiet side of town to relax at the weekend. Interiors are contemporary and cool, and the vibe is chilled. We had a full english breakfast with a freshly brewed coffee which both were delicious and hit the mark. We followed this with some pastries which were nice too.

A local gem. Calm, relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The Indian breakfast was awesome and the kids loved the english breakfast (without the tomatoes and mushrooms of course). And most importantly, the coffee was excellent!

What an amazing place. The decor is really good and the staff make you feel good too. The American breakfast is the one for me. The best place to get an American breakfast it has Waffles eggs, hashbrown, sausage rasher peppers beans mushroom n tomato. Make sure to try it out it is mouth watering!!!!!!

I went here a couple of months ago. Ordered an Indian breakfast which took over an hour to come, and it didnt taste brilliant either unfortunately. Disappointing, the service isn’t good enough.

Nice place lovely people had a jacket potato was dry no taste was cold hot drink was nice.

Serving sit down food but no toilet facilities. Tried to use Covid as an excuse. Every other restaurant and coffee bar has toilets open. I looked around and despite being nearly empty none of the tables were clean, for these two reasons we decided not to eat there so can't review the food

10/10 place food is amazing. But I just wish. It was open till later but I would 100% suggest

I went there probably 2 times in a week sometime s before lockdown happen but now I guess they have changed the chef inside the kitchen .Food was okish ask for runny fried eggs but disappointed even after replacement . No highchair was given to my friends 2 years old and mum didnt even enjoy the food as she has to hold her child all the time

We had the desi breakfast, jacket potato and hot chai. Lovely food, value for money and fast service. Our only negative thing is we found a hair in our food that was changed and they have no customer toilets which is very difficult when you have a desperate five year old with you.

I came here for brunch with a group of friends. The service was lovely, it’s a nice small place. I picked the Indian breakfast - it was fine, it was a lot of food and I was hungry. The best thing about it was the masala beans and the parata. The veg mix, wasn’t anything special. I wish I’d gone for the safe option of a full English instead. I never asked so I don’t know, but if you could swap the full English breakfast beans for the masala beans - that would be perfect.

A friend introduced me to this place and i love it, they do amazing food and the place feels cosy

This is the only place in Evington near my house where you can get freshly made milkshakes so went to get some for me and my family on a really hot day but was really disappointed. Got 3 Twirl milkshakes but they had put chocolate sauce on the bottom and sides of the milkshake cup, and that’s all you could really taste, didn’t help it tasted like cheap chocolate sauce, couldn’t taste any twirl at all. Considering I paid just over £10 for 3 milkshakes, I was really disappointed.

Love food , drinks and ambience

Was looking forward to this place as i just moved into the area, disgusted by the service and attitude of staff. Waited 5 minutes for someone to take my order even though there was no queue, staff behind counter had ther backs to me the whole time and when i asked if someone will take my order lady with a screwface says "we will take ur order wen we are free" appauling attitude. Never going ther again.

Service was slow. Good if you eat halal. Veggie options if you don't.

Kids were hungry after an active morning so I thought I’d pop in to this cafe that was local to their sports class. We were told they don’t do pancakes and I got no reply when I questioned why there’s a poster of a pancake stack in the window, which caught our eye. We ended up choosing pastries and cakes from the counter as this was the quickest option along with hotdrinks. We were the only ones in the shop at this time. Over 20 minutes later the drinks came out to us one by one but no sign of the food. We started on our drinks and then the pastries started coming out. These had clearly just been microwaved as they were flat and soft with no flake at all. They were piping hot to touch so, having waited so long for the food, we now had to wait for them to cool again. Again, they came out to us individually so clearly they were being microwaved one by one and brought out to us as each one was heated. My youngest started crying as he was hungry and his came out last, several minutes after the first one was served and then it was too hot to touch. The staff were all at the back, so we couldn’t ask for our cakes. We had finished our pastries and drinks but our cake slices were still on display, nearly an hour since we had ordered, we had all had enough of being there and asked for a refund for the cakes. There was no apology given nor any reasoning as to why the cakes weren’t served. I really can’t understand why the staff couldn’t just bring our food out at the same time as our drinks nor what took so long to serve us when there were hardly any customers. There was no service, no smile, no apology for the delay. Kitchen staff wouldn’t even look up at us when bringing our food out. The food wasn’t anything special, just what I could pick up from a bakery and eat from a paper bag. In hindsight, it would have been much quicker to drive to Ethel Bakery, pop into Tesco for a standard cake and make the drinks at home. At least we would’ve enjoyed it rather than be made to feel an inconvenience by the miserable staff. I won’t ever be going back.

Good atmosphere, with food that is for reasonable price

Nice quiet cosy place to enjoy a coffee. Avoid school lunchtime as can be busy. But great little coffee shop in the heart of the community. Good selection of food and friendly staff.

Normally go here for a snack when around in Evington area. It’s a great place overall. Some areas need improving like the wash up facility etc but overall lovely. Their presentation is lovely in most things and it can get busy at school end times. Family run and a small business and therefore expect some imperfections at time but still a nice place.

Lovely staff, and excellent variety of food available at this family run café. Had the Indian Breakfast here, and was pleasantly surprised. Great portion size and decent coffee. Only issue is with pricing, which is a little high, paid over 6 pounds for this breakfast (not including coffee). Price is probably in keeping with a relatively new café without much nearby competition. Would recommend a visit for breakfast as it is quiet and a relatively chilled atmosphere. WiFi available.

Poor presentation and taste of the breakfast we had. Constantly heard the microwave going off! (It’s not fresh). Brand were presented with sauce dripping over the sides of the bowl, mushrooms burnt and coffee arrived after our breakfast.

I say 'bacon' here as it wasn't bacon but processed meat. The coffee was lack lustre. It wasn't value for money at all. It's a shame, they could easily make the cafe really comfortable and at the same time source and promote local produce. Won't be going back.

Best cafe on downing drive with very good service and all the food they make is very delicious.
