Always great service, and really like the different single origin coffee blends on offer to try something new.

Not been Caffe Nero for months!!

Wish I could give zero stars for this appalling store and awful service. The man that served me ( long hair in a ponytail, seems to be unpopular by other reviews too! ) clicked his fingers whilst deciding what to order then rushed making my coffee. When asking for caramel based options he then said it’s not Starbucks… avoid, and perhaps actually go to a Starbucks instead of Caffè Nero!

The drinks and the space is good. I am a regular customer here and know most of the staff. However this morning I came in and a middle age woman was so rude to me. She was having this mood and weird attitude. She did not ask if I was drinking in or taking away (normally people do because there is a price difference). Later I saw her putting my drink in a plastic take-away cup, then I asked if she was aware that I was drinking in, just wanted to make sure because drinking in is more expensive. She glanced at me, gave me an attitude as if I was so annoying and said nothing. Very disappointed because the usual staff are so nice and friendly.

The staff need a lesson in being polite to customers, if your not happy serving the public then get another job. I wouldn't mind but it wasn't busy, I wouldn't return to this branch or recommend anyone who wants to have a nice cup coffee whilst being served by impolite staff.

Politeness doesn't cost anything yet this branch of cafe Nero has none. The staff that worked there on Tuesday 13th August 2024 around lunchtime ( a bloke with long dark hair ponytail tied back and a blond haired woman in her late 40 early 50 with painted eyebrows) looked absolutely fed up in the air-conditioned cafe Nero and despite me and my husband repeatedly saying thank you and please and smiling at them, ( because that's who we are) got nothing in return. Not a single thank you or a smile. Yet they work with public? Also as we were served coffee, the bloke held the cups from the top of rim, which we found disgusting as that's where you drink from and I don't know if he had washed his hands or not. And when my husband asked for serviettes the lady just basically chucked them at us. So you guessed by now that we won't be going there again.

The seller was very rude and disrespectful and I asked him for an iced vanilla latte but he didn't add vanilla.

Not happy with the fact that while serving me they were speaking with another person in a different language and on top of that they forgot to charge for a drink which I first asked for. If they concentrated on what they were doing they would make all customers feel better. Very disrespectful 👎👎

Best Nero option in leic centre , place is ran much better , cleaner more organised , never run out of cakes or pastries ( & pastries cooked properly ) always glasses out for water Latte’s nice & milky Staff pretty nice too

Decent drink, worst service I think I’ve had from anywhere in my life. Never had an issue ordering what I ordered before, but for some reason this guy felt the need to be pedantic and try to make me look like an idiot.

Already at the entrance you can feel the fragrant aroma of coffee. The boutique interior is relaxing. Minus: not very clean in the room and on the tables, but this is the norm of many establishments in the UK.

New staff. Long time. It had a welcoming and masculine feel to it that complemented my positive attitude and the mother's and babies balancing the spirit of Nero undoubtedly attempting untold discrepancies on the baristas. Ancient creep.

Better than the usual two chain coffee shops

First of all BURNT croissant received today. The time before this, I asked for a butter croissant and arrived at work to find an almond croissant which I didn't like at all!! Don't expect service with a smile either. The baristers are cold and unbothered.

Service as always was very friendly, atmosphere was also good, I had the seasonal millionaires hot chocolate, which wasn't much different to their usual hot chocolate in taste tbh

Very bad experience. The only staff member on site can often be seen smoking on the front, the stink being an apt warning of the attitude here. When he finally bothers to come and serve you, it's with a very uncaring and blunt manner, bordering on rude. He didn't wash his hands before service, and our drinks were served in paper cups, even though we intended to sit down, and the upstairs section was closed. When asked why, it was hard to make out the thick accent - but it was something along the lines of it can't be cleaned, or he doesn't want to clean it. I got the impression he didn't care about the job, and customers were a mere distraction to his smoke breaks. Predictably, he sat right back outside when he was done serving. This was supposed to be a final coffee out before my partner's C-section, but it made me leave feeling quite bitter. This isn't the service I'd expect from Cafe Nero. Sort it out.

Went to cafe Nero and took some reusable cups with me (the Starbucks ones in photo) and asked to make the drink in them and they did just that filling them up depends on the drinks ratio. The drinks were delicious. The mango and passionfruit fruit booster is one of the best summer drinks for sure. The mocha frappe is choclately and sweet and the biscuit iced latte is a sweet coffee drink for biscuit lovers.

Nice coffee like alwyas my partner had ice coffee and crossant this morning. Customer service was ok nice but I believe they should be a bit more active not that sleepy because I asked 4 times today the same question until they understand me but at least at the end everything was ok . I will come back here again

Very nice barista, bursting with coffee excitement

Not the best Nero in town, looked a bit shabby and dirty. Our order was wrong which meant having to wait. Its very busy and they could really do with some more staff, the ones that were in duty seemed rushed off their feet. Although the place could do with a clean the staff are friendly here.

Good selection of drinks, fast friendly service

Felt sorry for the 2 men working there as customer before us unfortunately dropped his drink all over the counter so everything had to be cleaned down. We, and subsequent customers, were asked to wait which we were happy to do. Eventually we were served and all was fine

Today 11/02/2023 I stepped into this Caffe Nero to pick up an Uber order, when I checked the hot drinks I found out that they were not properly covered! When I said that I can’t pick up the order in that bad condition, un Indian disrespectful woman told me to leave! Why ? Here is why : they are lazy and disgusting ! As someone whom lived in Italy for very long time, I can easily say that this is not coffee , this is just expensive rubbish served by disrespectful employees!

Umi is always thee most kind and welcoming staff in this cafe Nero, I'm always incredibly excited to be served by her as she makes the experience so lovely and warm! Also makes THEE best oat lattes I've ever had :) Very happy customer x

This has got to be the worse Caffe Nero in Leicester! As a lover of all things coffee, i have been to all the other Caffe Nero's in Leicester, an so visited this one on Christmas Eve, mid morning, an this one was the worse by far. When i walked in the two members of staff behind the counter there, a man and a woman, were both on their mobile phones. I must of been there for a good minute just standing there waiting to be acknowledged let alone served. Even when i ordered a coffee to drink in, they were still on their phones - i found this very rude and not very courteous. I think they were both Polish as they wasn't speaking to one in English. The strange irony is, is that they had a 'tip' mug on the counter (what a cheek) - i have a tip for you, polish up on your customer service skills, get off your phones, as you are there to work and serve customers not get paid to be on social media, and show more courtesy. Very poor customer service this. The big wigs at Caffe Nero need to look into this and act upon it. I wont go there again.

Walked past this place a thousand times, thought i would pop in one rainy Friday October afternoon for a Cappuccino to go. Service was rather relaxed as there was only one person working behind the counter. The lady was proficient and well mannered and polite when talking to. As i had not been there before, she was helpful in guiding me towards what they had coffee wise, an also asked if i wanted to try the Brasilian coffee, so i thought, why not. I will one day go back and have 'coffee in' as they have a relaxing seating area indoors.

One of my favourite Caffe Nero's because of the great upstairs rooms which always have space - sofa and tables to work at in peace.

This was one the most bizarre and negative experiences I've ever had in a cafe, with one staff member being particularly rude, condescending, and unprofessional. The tables were also a bit messy, despite it not being that busy. At the very least the food was decent albeit a bit pricey. Very unlikely to visit this Nero again - would recommend the one on Granby Street over it.

Pretty swift service. Store is a bit haggard and aging poorly but otherwise good quality drinks- fast- super friendly service. Can't fault it but would look better with a face lift! (Like most of us)

Whenever out I always look for a café Nero for a coffee as very nice coffee and reasonably priced with friendly staff.

The barrister have no idea what is mean "Espresso con panna". I believe that he runs out with cream and in our coffee "panna" almost missing. The worst experience ever in Caffè Nero shops.

Came here expecting the usual high standards but instead we were disappointed. We ordered a soya chai latte and a coconut milk chai latte and both just tasted like hot milk. The only flavour came from the cinnamon. This place is usually quite good so we were surprised.

Yes, Cafe Nero is a chain I understand. I have been to some really AWFUL ones ((Edinburgh) and some better ones. This one was excellent, mainly because of the 2 lads behind the counter...sorry I didn't get your names...but I hope you get recognition because you were friendly and oh so efficient....between you you served food and drinks like a well oiled machine! Food was fine too...pannini and coffee and reasonably priced

Okay coffee, not very good food. The service was awful, as staff tidied very loudly whilst I ate.

Excellent customer service. It's great when people go the extra mile, especially when you have a young child to manage.

One of my favourite hideaway cafès in Leicester.

Pleasant staff, quick service but it felt a bit rushed even though the place was empty. They assumed I was paying by card even though I wanted to use their app to get stamps. Would be nice to just hear my order confirmed to me and be asked how I would like to pay instead of just "ok card readers ready" still good though

The lady that served me initially was nice and efficient but the other member I’d staff on was rude and ignorant. More infested in her paper than customers waiting to be served. She then tried taking payment off me without knowing what type of drinks/food I ordered nearly overcharging me rather than serving the other customer in line like other Caffè Nero’s do. There another Nero close by I’d recommend commuting a little more and go there rather than be ignored.

Coffee was ok, sandwiches were not very good. Plenty of better options for lunch.

Disappointed with the coffee, served just above warm, will not be going back any time soon.

The coffee was okay, the cake was better than expected but the ambience wasn't the best. While waiting for our cakes and drinks, I couldn't help notice that there was dust everywhere behind the counter (till, crevices, shelves and in the utensil washer itself) the Barrista was a trainee all on her own. She was well mannered and cleaned all utensils that were used before and after. I feel like I'm only rating "any" stars due to the trainee Barrista's attitude, attentiveness and cleanliness.

Tricky to get into, super comedy doors... Staff need to clean the tables more often, especially outside.

First visit to Leicester and decided to have a break here as we could sit outside in The Sun. the barista that served us was excellent so quick and the coffee was excellent.

Absolutely lovely staff who are willing to help. Food is great but a little pricey. Worth it for the level of service you get though.

Quick, efficient and consistent service. I have always been greeted well here and the barista's are always pleasant and welcoming. It's a small cafe with a big heart which is surprising for franchise and feels more like an indepedent cafe making a huge effort to make your day and want you to return often. Credit to the staff for making the morning or afternoon pick me up cup of coffee that extra special.
