Hogarths in Leicester

We were here with my friends for a drink. I asked for Pina Colada and the bartender didn’t know how to make it. First he took recipes and was confused for a while. Then he started to search in his phone and he was looking for drinks and ingredients. After some minutes he told me it takes 40 minutes to make my drink. So, I just changed my order and asked for half pint of beer. Meanwhile, he was so unkind and he behaved really unmannerly.

The bartender been so rude , couse i’ve ordered two beers and two tequilla shots and tequilla shots came without lemon and sald, then i canceled the order. When i went back to order beers the bartenders refuse to serve mysef, such an disgraced

One of the worst bars/pubs I've been in

Always a pleasure to drink here,on a busy night, staff are faster at weekends, le,more people. but like a wetherspoons pub,toilets up stairs. Ps it's also cheaper then most pubs in town.

I spent Friday night 14th June here with my mum as we were visiting for an event the Saturday we met some regulars and the bar staff Jade, Aaron and the other young lady were all fantastic in their job and we had an absolute blast with them all. We returned after our event Saturday to have a couple quieter ones and say goodbye to them. Drinks were a grear price, Dj was also good. Highly recommend. Saw a band there and they were excellent.

Cheap and cheerful a great atmosphere made for a great night out. Would defiantly return.

First time visiting, as I was in Leicester for the day, Decent Guinness, a large pub,and nice decor , will definitely visit again...y.b.y

A Gin Palace is exactly that, lovely place, quiet on a weekday for a local and great place for a weekend starter 😀

Great pub but toilets at the top of the stairs needs some downstairs

It is what it is. Standards have slipped. The Gents was under an inch of water, was served the wrong drinks....Lots of locals off their gords. If you require sophistication then please go elsewhere. But it's CHEAP & in this day & age we, the people need somewhere that is.

Very very well priced pints. The average price for a moretti in Leicester is £5.20. Where as here it's £3.50. Might have to deal with local piss heads scuffing amongst themselves, definetly wouldn't take the family, but for me it's perfect as I'm used to that environment. Chavvy but brilliant.

Always an interesting bunch of people in there. Music was good.

Visited for the 1st time today. Beautifully decorated and fitted out. Only problem was the long wait at the bar. There must have been 40 in the pub and only I young girl behind the bar. Glasses on the tables. Surfaces needed a good wipe down. No fault of the girl but really only 1 Staff. !!!!

If you want a relaxing evening then you got the right place.

I loved the place, atmosphere and the service

Loved this place. Visited with my husband and friends after visiting the King Richard exhibition. Great service, quick efficient and friendly. The stairs up to the toilets made me feel like I was at hogwarts really quirky and fascinating to look at. Plenty of screens around the place to watch any sports that might be on. Would visit again if we're down that way again

Smack bang in city centre.Very cheap drinks and was even selling cheese cobs.Clientele are "elegantly wasted" but impressive booths and sparkling loos.More regular "lesta" than upmarket pricier places.

found this pub by accident very imposing inside but a good pub with real ale and the regulars seemed very friendly its just at the top of the market

We accidently came across this pub during our trip to Leicester. It was very lively with a good atmosphere. The clientall consisted of mixed age groups. There was music being played from the 70's onwards. Service was quick and efficient. Had a great time here.

I'd use it through the day to watch horse racing, not sure what it would be like at night! Staff are always friendly

Excellent gin, unfortunately i did not like the fat lip i got from the bar fight that kicked off right next to me.

This enormous and somewhat ornate boozer has a wetherspoons quality about it, even down to the ‘mature’ and eccentric gentlemen in attendance. I would imagine that if people watching is your thing then Hogarths would provide ample hunting ground. A fellow punter even asked, in a nice way, why I was there, suggesting that I was unlike the usual clientele. Fascinating.

Cheap, cheerful, impressive building and down to earth watering hole. Expect characters and and wide array of drinks.

OK in here not a classy bar but has resently been re furbished in past year or so. Local people tend to go in here for a few beers or to watch the football.

We went at lunchtime for one drink and the place seemed really nice but unfortunately don't do food apart from toasties... We also were the youngest in there as it seemed like everyone was retired, bar staff were nice enough but we got some funny looks from what looked like the regulars. Probably would be a lot busier if they did food at lunchtime even just chips.

I’ve been in this place many times. Today I spoken to appallingly by a female member of staff. This place won’t be getting my custom again.

Improving. not bad during the daytime,but drops of at night time. Unless there is any live sport on the t.v .live kareoke Thursday from 3.00 till7.00pm plus disco's at the weekends. Still good beer , good prices.

New landlord or landlady to arrive must be better than the last one staff friendly cosy alcove or open areas
