Chillest cafe Nero I’ve ever been to

Service was okay but the staff have to pay closer attention to the overall cleanliness of the store especially since the store wasn’t that busy at all. Dirty cups were piled up in a table and the toilet really needed upkeep.

It's a glorified cafe, charging extra for a coffee because they can...... I wasn't paying

Baristas are always welcoming and know how we like our coffee.

It's a coffee shop that charges loads for a coffee. The food is a cake, a bag of crisps or some other snack sold at inflated prices....... I'm not a great fan of these places, I prefer a proper old fashioned cafe.

Laura and other staff were very welcoming and efficient.

I fear for nero it's been closed for a lots of times over the past year due to faults etc it worries me its going to lose the buisness

I have lived here for 6 months and not once in that time have they had cream. They’re always out. You’re a coffee shop serving whipped drinks. Cream is on your menu… Just order more if you have to? It’s ridiculous.

16:20 and closing. Asked if my 5 year old could use the toilet and was just told ‘No’. Thanks for that

Bathrooms had been signed as cleaned at 5pm and closing, but it was only 4.45 and they had clearly not been cleaned in a while. Tables also hadn’t been cleaned in a while with cups everywhere. Tea and coffee was fine.

Helpful staff, however most tables were not cleared or cleaned, the floor under the tables outside at the front was filthy and the toilet had no soap, half a toilet roll balanced on a disability handle and manky toilet! And this on a quiet weekday afternoon.

Staff very helpful and friendly..they allow you to take a dog..love their coffee..oh and if weather is bad a good place to shelter.

Staff excellent and friendly product vg. The only negative is that tables are generally not cleared quick enough.

My coffee was weak and cold not Nero's normal standard.

As no independent cafes were open and or didn't want people sitting in, we had to frequent a nationwide coffee shop coffee good and staff lovely

These are odd times in catering and the staff at Nero remain friendly and efficient. Lovely barista baked me an apricot Danish when he realised I had time to kill.

I had to unfortunately highlight the importance of COVID19 and cleaning and PPE to the Area manager on a recent visit, this was addressed but still customers come in without facial masks! The store is OK but an do with a training refresher for staff on duty

Always really nice in this Cafe Nero. The staff are always extra friendly - but not to the point where it's clearly forced. Tables are always clean, can usually sit down and obviously the coffee is very good.

Fast friendly service. The staff were relaxed and helpful asking if I wanted anything extra today. A nice atmosphere.

A really relaxed and pleasant coffee shop. The tea is great and there is no pressure to move on, you could stay all day. Plus they have fantastic paninis too.

Nice dog friendly coffee shop. Standard menu of pre packed paninis or toastada. Good range of cakes. The young lady that served me, sadly I didn't catch her name, greeted everyone like she had known them for years, she enquired after their day, and listened with interest the customers various musings. When she realised that we weren't local she proceeded to give me a run down of all the activities that were happening in town that week, as it was Regatta week. She was a lovely young lady and I hope that Cafe Nero recognises how awesome she is at her job. She was very obliging and couldn't do enough for the customers and even gave one lady help in how to access the new app. Whilst the Cafe itself is very corporate, this young lady bought a great atmosphere to the place.

Well, the girl behind the counter was quite friendly, and our tea and cake was OK. But almost every unoccupied table had dirty crockery on it, and the place was generally quite depressing. I'm sure there are far better cafes in the town.

Café Nero has been a haven for my friends and me over the past couple of months. The staff and other regulars are lovely, I truly feel like I have found a home away from home.

Lovely staff. Could not even think to say anything bad about them, were so accommodating to us, very polite. Spacious atmosphere, great for catching up with mates or a couples date. Prices are a bit high but perfect for what you’re receiving

Totally disgusting. Filthy. Hot chocolate was cold. The staff looked unkempt. Coffee machine had days of coffee stains and dirt. Will be calling environmental health. Totally disgusted.

I went in for a take away toasted sandwich. There was a lunchtime rush and my sandwich was left forgotten in the toaster until I went back to the to to ask for it. By then it was burned. But the guy was so apologetic, toasting a replacement straight away and giving me a free tea and vouchers for free coffee. To my mind it's not the mistakes that matter so much as how they are remedied. I applaud the guy for his customer service in the face of much pressure.
