Caffe Nero in Coventry

The staff cutting the sandwich for me was totally untrained, he cut the sandwich with the plastic cover on. I had to cancel the order.

This is probably my favourite Caffe Nero of all I've been to, and I go to plenty. Always delivers a great drink and the staff are great. Keep doing what you do.

Sticky floors, takeaway cups when sitting in-no apology, no care taken with the drinks, no friendliness I asked for a signature caramel late and he asked if wanted cream, it comes with cream! What a let down Cafe Nero!!

I love stopping in this Nero. One of the best and in a very cool location that my children enjoy. Staff were excellent as well. We'll be back for sure.

Another pleasing visit to this outlet. The staff always deliver here on making tasty drinks quickly and efficiently. The venue itself is looking a little tired with old seats, furniture, etc. Some money spent here would not go a miss Caffè Nero.

Shout out to the staff working the afternoon shift at this café, May 1st. They know how to make the drinks. Amazing customer service as well. I've never been asked before if I wanted dark roast or light roast in my coffee. Get them out in the Midlands area (Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Rugby, Stafford) training your other teams. To customers you cannot go wrong here.

I loved this one. Friendly welcoming staff in a brilliantly located cafe. My little boy loved looking at all the decoration in the lower precinct. Also, it was the best product I have had to date at cafe nero, spot on for me. I want to go again.

This is the first time trying this place, it’s in a good location but the young male worker was extremely rude towards myself with a very sexist comment.

Love this cafe lots of history service was excellent and friendly coffee was great it’s always nice and clean.

My first time back in Coventry for15 years and glad I chose cafe nero for my lunch. I'd had an awful experience earlier that morning elsewhere and left and I'm glad I did.The two members of staff were very pleasant and couldn't have been more helpful and our lunch was lovely.The location is very unusual but I loved it and would certainly go back if I was in the area.

Great location, friendly staff and always a smiling welcome. Tuesdays are becoming a habit at Caffè Nero with a great flavoured Caffè latte and lemon muffin, so full of lemon and the added bonus of lemon peel on top. Great views of the lower precinct this time of year with the Christmas tree and decorations.

Good Coffee, as that's what they do best.. Quick service and also friendly staff. They should spend time to polish the cutlery because I had to use salivato actually polish the spoon... Which it's not OK... At all 😂🤷🏼‍♂️. I guess we'll have a take away next time 🥵

A lovely welcome and great coffee and tasty warm pain aux raisin at lunchtime in the centre of Coventry. Fast, friendly service and a lovely view of the lower precinct.

I think it was a Wimpey Bar when it opened After the postwar reconstruction of the city centre The circular cafe stands on a central column and its circular glass window makes it very light inside It also feels more spacious than you'd expect. Sad that it is surrounded by new stairs, roofing of the precinct and the nearby C&A, Woollies and Coop have gone, but at least this didn't get torn down Also Cafe Nero has better coffee than the bland corporate Starbucks

A friendly welcome in this Caffè Nero, great latte and wonderful pain au raisin. Great view over the lower precinct - watching the world go by. Staff were really quick to clear tables, ensuring new customers had clean tables. Definitely a good coffee stop if in the city centre.

We stopped here for lunch while exploring the city. It's a really quirky little rotunda with friendly staff and all the usual things you'd expect from a Caffe Nero. The service was good and the food hot and tasty. Coffee goes without saying was excellent.

I remember this place being the wimpy many moons ago, I'm so glad theyve kept it. This is my regular since they got rid of the Costa coffee at Waterstones.Staff is so friendly and recently when I went in the server said 'the usual?' Made me feel great.Always good coffee with a smile .

Wanted a coffee so I thought I would stop off. Wanted to sit down. All of the tables and chairs are so tightly packed together that I could not see a comfortable seat. The tables and seats did not look clean either. Went to the outdoor seating area underneath and the tables had sugar sprinkled all over them. This would be a nice place if they kept it clean. Shame really!

Remember going in here when I was a kid it was a wimpy then my how it’s changed service was very quick but if there was a few people in there the queue could get long but coffee was good and hot and strong forgot that they put two shots in but it’s such a unique setting so glad they’ve kept it.

Came up for the ice hockey and went to the most amazing Cafe Nero, just love this. Sat by the window watching all the comings and goings, a completely round glass building, absolutely love it and the coffee isn't bad either.

If you like to taste coffee in your flat white then this is the place to visit! Snacks are tasty too. It can get very busy in there at lunchtimes. Great that the rotunda is being used, it is one of coventry's iconic buildings

Very strong coffee even for me im sure wrong measurements but it was ok for me although to strong for my partner. Tables and chairs far to crammed could not move. Service ok would return if nearby.

Recuerdo este lugar cuando solía ser el Bar Wimpy, el icónico circular café coventry. Ha sido a través de muchos reincarnations sino que parece tener ya instalados ahora como Café Nero.

Love the view from here - a real place to people watch. Coffee was good. Service was fast. Tables cleared quickly by smiling staff.

Hemos visitado antes y me gustó, así que decidimos volver hoy. Nos gusta la arquitectura interesante y ver a la gente puede conseguir visitando este café. La ubicación de este café es genial porque es tan central a todas las tiendas del centro de la ciudad y el mercado. Café y pasteles como cabe esperar desde Nero. No sentarse demasiado cerca de las puertas, porque puedes conseguir un proyecto. Equipo personal era muy eficiente y amable. Sin duda pop de nuevo.

Soy un cliente regular, siempre con el Caffe nero la soja normal llevar dos veces a la semana capuchino mientras en mi camino al trabajo. Siempre hechos para mí y es el mejor capuchino de la ciudad de soja en mi opinión. En esta ocasión...

La ubicación es fantástica, justo en medio del centro comercial. Tuve mi café cuando mi esposa hacer las compras. El personal es amable. Pero me dejes amanecer por los muebles no son muy cómodas.

I love visiting this café Nero when I get the chance as it is in an iconic Coventry building - known as the 'round cafe' or 'mushroom cafe'. Brings back memories of my teenage years. However I thought the furniture looked shabby and worn and needs replacing.Coffee and service was of high standard and I will visit again.

Always thought Nero's has the best coffee out of the top coffee shop chains. Good flat white, with a nice chocolate muffin. Good place for couples or small groups with 4 being the maximum as there isn't much room for a larger group. Overall happy visit.

I have been here a few times now, and have mixed experiences, but no major problems. I have come here to have my usual order, which is a hot chocolate. It tastes how it does in any other Neros. However, that's where the similarities end.The baristas seem to be so set on making drinks, they often don't have time to make eye contact with the customer. When they are ready for the next person, the usually just shout 'Who's next' without even looking up.The tables and surfaces are kept clean, but the chairs seem a bit worn. I think this cafe is in need of a slight refurbishment.I will be coming back, but prefer other Nero cafes that I have visited.

Visit fairly often, staff always polite and friendly and quick with service. Coffee is the best and the food on offer is tasty. Getting to be my favourite lunchtime stop!

In the heart of Coventry you can see all around. You can get a card to get stamped to get a free hot drink. They do *glutenfree cakes not a huge range but nice for a treat. The noisy door that slams every 2 minutes from the kitchen is really annoying. Nice place

A friend and I enjoyed our visit to what in Coventry has always been known as the 'Round Cafe'. The view from the huge windows as shoppers hurry by is entertaining and the staff pleasant and efficient. Coffee and tea are excellent and there are plenty of delicious cakes to tempt you. We will return!

Best place to get coffee. Staff are friendly . Isn't to expensive and you have a loyalty card. Nice to go with friends or 10 minute sat down. My favourite place to get coffee.

This caffe nero is one of the more interesting ones I have visited over recent times. Being in a raised glass circle in the lower precinct shopping centre, it is a very relaxed environment if you fancy a break from shopping - although small inside it is spacious and the tables are well spaced. It's a fascinating spot to sit and think about the world as it hurries around below you.

The coffee is really tasty, especially decaf Americano which definitely better than the others in town. The staff is friendly. The downside: no toilet provided in the cafe. Need to use those of the market (downstairs)

The Rotunda was revolutionary in its post war design a surveyor friend informs me. It is a Cafe Nero so usual selection of Coffee cakes and loyalty card with a view of the precinct. Only real downside is no toilet so you have to use the one in Market way

The café is set in the unusual setting of a circular glass-sided café looking down on the city’s lower precinct. Now a Caffe Nero, my first experience of this venue was as a Wimpy Bar in the early 70’s. Since then it has been host to several businesses and at one time was threatened with demolition. It was saved when English Heritage stepped in, saying it was a prime example of postwar development. The iconic round building was part of the original post-war precinct development in Coventry.Caffe Nero offers an excellent opportunity for a break from shopping, for just a drink or a light bite in addition. The cafe is quite busy and this can be daunting when first visiting, but don't worry, many of the customers are there to take away and there are usually seats available. The are also outside seats downstairs and as the precinct is covered, they can be used year round.I have used this location on a number of occasions and always found the service and the coffee very good.

I seek out Café Nero's wherever I go as I personality think the strength and taste of their coffee is far superior to any other coffee chain.This store in particular is set in a rotunda style cafe with glass windows virtually top to bottom sooo great for people watching while supping on your drink.The staff are as always a credit to Nero's as I can see in previous reviews there have been complaints about the staff chatting but that's part and parcel of most Nero's, your treated as one of the family every time you enter and staff show a genuine interest in your day thus far. I'd rather they be chatty then make you feel like your being processed through a machine!I have not tried anything other than coffee and and coffee cake and so both were highly rated, they do not have any public toilets but the nearest are only a short walk away in the shopping centre they are a part of. You can also sit outside underneath the rotunda while outside its covered by the rotunda itself and then the large glass canopy of the shopping centre.To summarise it's a friendly place, with excellent coffee and the style of the building is great. Go and enjoy!

This cafe is a great place to have a break from shopping or just for a stop whilst out in town. Generally quite busy but there is a lovely view over the precinct which can be admired. The coffee is strong and flavoursome and there are always plenty of cakes and pastries to choose from. The staff are friendly and willing to help customers. Plus, their rewards scheme is a nice incentive (buy 9 hot drinks, get the 10th free) and they currently offer Coventry Uni students discount if you show a student card.

Girando per Coventry mi sono fermato qui per la colazione. Espresso e cornetto alle mandorle. 3 sterline. Forse un troppo ms é pur vero che bere un buon caffe espresso invece dellla brodsglia he trangugiano gli anglosassoni non é una cosa da poco!

Genuinely nice place to sit and have a coffee when doing some work. Staff always ask how you are and seem genuinely interested. Really good coffee and more importantly reliable free wifi and plugs under the seats around the middle so I can plug my laptop in!

This is a coffee shop what's round and kind of on a stick like a lolipop. But it's not a lolipop, it's really a coffee shop. The staff are always el excellento (that's Spainish for excellent) so I always smile at them and say nice things like "please" and "you have a lovely face" and they always smile back but they never tell me I have a lovely face because I'm not a good looking man, but I get by. The coffee is excellent, and the cakes are also excellent. I like chocolate cake, it's all chocolatey and I usually get a fork with it. They're better than spoons, aint they?!Well worth a visit, but do be advised that due to the round glass design, your conversations can be heard by others a little bit more than in other places. So when you tell your friend you don't like the person across from you's shoes or hair or hands, then they might hear you and want to slap you up a bit with their horrible, weird hands. And if you want to tell your bird she looks nice without losing gangsta points then you'd better do it through text.

I love coming here. I have been coming for over 4 years now and have seen various staff members come and go. No matter who serves you though they are always friendly and helpful.The coffee is brilliant and far outweighs the quality and taste of other chains. I cannot rate this place enough. The setting is brilliant too, the perfect place to do a spot of people watching!

Understaffed, dirty tables and the barista's seem to be interested in trivial chit-chat rather than getting on with the actual task of making a cappuccino.

Visited cafe nero in coventry for a coffee & catch up with my friend. The coffee was so so -not great.The attitude of the barista was the problem very rude unhelpful & unfriendly. We will not be returning due to this bad service.

Far better coffee than the other two big coffee houses in Coventry but limited space and small staff so can lead to a little wait for services but good coffee.
