Have to say always thought of this place as more of a coffee shop, so was pleasantly surprised when we decided to have a meal here. Food very fresh and well prepared and extremely tasty. Staff were very attentive and have to say on the whole an extremely pleasant experience.

Really nice cafe with friendly staff, a range of homemade desserts. We had a large group and didn't book ahead, but they moved all the tables and were very accommodating. The menu has a range of British and Italian food and is all very good value. Really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend!

Really nice staff, stark but clean cafe, and nice drinks. The menu is fine but the food wasn't great. We had a breakfast that included an egg that oozed uncooked raw white and poor standard salmon, a boring-as panini and home-made chips that we wanted to love but which were kind of flaccid. So, good for coffee and drinks, and the cakes looked nice, but we probably wouldn't do lunch here again. And I feel bad about that because the staff are lovely.

It's modern, clean, unpretentious and the service acceptable (if a little impersonal). We were served promptly, but I noticed the country was unmanned several times. The coffees and a small food order were fine. However, there was a strong smell of fried food in the air and we certainly didn't linger. It was in our clothes when we returned home a good 1-2 hours later. There's a lot of choice on Whiteladies Road and For the latter issue alone we probably would think twice about a second visit.

Sono andata per colazione sperando di trovare il clima socievole fiorentino. Cibo nella norma, sul servizio tralasciamo. Personale musone e poco socievole.

Popped in with no reservation for celebratory lunch. Cafe is bright with fresh decor, and outside seating as well. Staff really friendly and helpful. Great selection of savoury foods - including light lunch options as well as bigger ones. We shared a pasta dish, pizza, and garlic bread - all of which tasted lovely, well presented, and great portions for price. Didn't indulge in dessert but could view them in the cabinet and they looked very delicious. Plus they are fully licensed with nice house wines which was just the cherry on top.

I went here with a group of severely hungover friends last weekend and I have to say that the waitress really lifted our spirits. Her service was impeccable, she was so attentive and helpful to my vegan dietary requirements and to all of us in general. The restaurant is lovely, the menu has a lot of choice and the breakfast was delicious, and not just because we were hungover! A friend had a pizza and another had the risotto and both said they were really good. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely go there again in the future.

Greeting by the friendly and lovely cafe owner, we had a pear and ricotta cake that was divine - to live more for, and also an arancini, so nice, you can't get good food like this often, so I will come back here next time i'm in Bristol!

Finalmente mi sembra di essere in uno dei tanti bar che caratterizzano il bel Paese! Atmosfera un pò fredda... ma colazioni e pranzi eccellenti con un'ampia scelta di cibi Italiani!Consigliatissimo!!!!

Packed, inside and out -- but shows folks stop there. Not for a quiet, comfortable meal -- ambience was of a fast food locale. Food was overpriced for a bowl of 99% penne, and about a tablespoon of bits of mushroom, tomato and meat sauce. But I was treating a friend, and did not want to even mention that I thought this surely was not something the house was proud of serving. It looked like it was thrown together in a secondary school mandatory cooking class.Best asset was that the staff was very friendly.

(Not sure why TripAdvisor put a 'Go' on the end of this business. It's just 'Caffe Fiorentina'.)Some people might say that you can do most things better at home, and I would agree to a certain point, but I still want a foodie place to at least try to do it better. This is why our experience at Caffe Fiorentina was so disappointing. You can do a lot better at home!We were hypnotised by the illy signs in the window (it's our favourite coffee), so we made a special trip for a Saturday morning breakfast. It was nice to be greeted with a smile, though it was difficult to place our order; there's a language barrier to overcome, so try not to deviate from pointing at the menu. We ordered at the counter (not sure if there's any table service) and I stuck to something simple, simply because there wasn't a lot to choose from that was actually Italian on the menu. Most of it is English through and through, when it would have been nice to see fennel sausages instead of Cumberland, for instance. How about toasted Ciabatta instead of a cheap, sliced loaf?A bacon butty was ordered, two cappuccinos and some toast and butter. The bacon butty wasn't too bad, but it was ordinary sliced white, while the toast was spectacularly awful. How do you get toast wrong? It had been left to sit in the toaster, so had become French within a few minutes, then was sparsely lubricated with Flora (that's not Italian butter, by the way).Oh well, I left it after one bite, didn't finish the coffee, headed home and made myself a fresh cappuccino and a buttered, toasted cinnamon bagel. Awesome! Of course, I was also a tenner lighter than I was earlier (their credit card machine broke down, too).I want to say nice things for a new business, but teething problems aside, it seems like the core business model is 'British cafe' rather than 'Italian deli delight', and unless that changes, it may not succeed on a road that boasts much better breakfast options.
