The best coffee shop in Ross. Food is freshly cooked daily. The staff are just lovely, the coffee is delicious and is a really reasonable price. I would recommend this cafe to everyone. Quirky little café. Husband had a baguette BLT and I had a toasted flatbread with chicken, chorizo and cheddar, both served with delicious salad. Frappuccino also delicious. Comfy tub chairs and dogs allowed too. One of the best cafés I’ve been in (and I’ve been in a lot 😂).

Great coffee and the cakes looked good but sadly I'd eaten my fill at lunchtime. They have internal and external seating, but the cafes in Ross have got together to support the provision of tables in the covered old Market Hall for customers to eat their takeaways or coffees. This was well attended with a chatty helper who cleaned tables as they became vacant - what a great initiative

If you look at my other reviews you'll see that very few are negative. Being negative is easy and when a business is trying hard I think it is better to support them. However.....What I ate was completely unremarkable and the flavour of everything, the food, the atmosphere and our taking a break was spoiled by the manageress's arrogant and dismissive attitude to a customer.I'll happily go back - but only if it changes hands.

We visited Ross on Wye a couple of weeks ago, after having trawled down one side of the Main Street & up the other, we liked the look of Cafe Eleganza. We chose from the blackboard menu, two of us picked the lentil, avocado & halloumi salad & my husband chose the red pepper (& possibly goats cheese) parcel. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, in fact I made a quick list of all the ingredients in my salad (including capers & olives) and have re created it at home a couple of times. We thought the food people at other tables were eating looked good too. I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again and recommend to anyone visiting Ross. The staff were pleasant & friendly although I did feel I hung around the counter before the chap taking orders acknowledged I was there.

My friend and I visit regularly and enjoy the relaxed but friendly atmosphere. While we sat and had a drink this weekend we observed several couples, individuals, and two families arrive. The female member of staff assisted one family by re-arranging the tables in the window at the front to accommodate a buggy and could not have been more polite and helpful, considering how busy she was.The tables outside on the pavement were filled with happy customers which was good to see and it was pleasant to hear tourists complimenting the area- the door was open due to nice weather which made the caffe more appealing. On two previous occasions we have had Mediterranean flatbreads which were delicious - being a vegetarian this place is fabulous - the salads are also very good. My friend loves the James's own blend of coffee they serve. I often meet friends here and take visitors too. We are lucky to have lots of pleasant cafes here in Ross. I would recommend a visit especially during lunchtime as they have a wide variety of good food. They also have a Facebook page - so "check in" and spread the word. So we stopped in here today after seeing previous reviews on trip adviser saying great coffee, sandwiches and cakes. We ordered a chickpea and green lentil salad, two scones and 2 coffees costing about £14. As we were tucking into our food we looked at over at the counter to see the guy in the shop sticking his bare hands in all the salad bowls and scooping up lentils and chick peas with his hands (even though there was a spoon in each bowl) he didn't wash or wipe his hands before going to the next bowl either and then wiped them on his clothes afterwards until he dived into the next bowl and continued to scoop up. He had a plaster on his finger which looked very grubby, although not surprisingly. Toilets weren't cleaned either. Let's hope he washed his hands after using the loo. Our guess is not! This place is the pits. No hygiene standards at all. Walk past and go to the next one

I absolutely love being in this place and it has a beautifully calm feel. However I am totally astonished by the dolls-house size servings for lunch- at normal lunch prices. I almost asked them if they hadn’t accidentally given me a kiddie’s portion - for a cheaper price- as for over £9 I got two slices of delicious small rye toast, about 7 very small lettuce leaves, 4 olives and a small pot of delicious dip. All very tasty but absolutely not a main course. I know I these are locally sourced ingredients but this felt really wrong. I will definitely return for post lunch coffees but will make sure to eat somewhere else where I can fuel up for lunch before hand.
