Caffe Cream in Wirral

Came here for a brew and a toasted teacake, nice atmosphere and views across the Mersey, staff were pretty good and food and drinks excellent.

Really polluting the area with foul, stale, dairy stinks. It is as if they have never cleaned their milk nozzles, Pergal machines, and snipe bilges.

The manager Shane, treated elderly customers with its no respect when they asked to turn the air conditioning off on their table he replied with “hope your happy we have to work in the hot weather” even tho they are weekly customers and are 90+ Shane also said “It was more peaceful when ur group wasn’t here” saying this to 90+ people is absolutely disgraceful! i was appalled hearing this from the table i was sitting on and i will not be coming back!!!

My little girl had an accident in the shop and not one staff member came to see if she was ok or if anything was needed . when I went to the counter to ask for an ice pack for her eye that had already closed over,not one staff member new what to do and I was handed a cleaning cloth with ice in it and then to top it off the staff proceeded to clean round us and made us feel as if we needed to hurry up and leave as they wanted to close !

Got to be one of the best Cafe’s we’ve been to, from the location, food and staff it is a thoroughly enjoyable experience so well done everyone 👏 we go nearly every week.

I've been here for lunch and casual coffee. The food is excellent, the coffee is good. There is plenty of seating with a view across the Mersey.

Normally have loads of flavours but as it was close to closing they only had a few. Did feel quite rushed as they packed chairs around us and seemed like they just wanted to push everyone out of the door

This is our second visit to this lovely cafe, we only came for the ice cream. Lots of flavours to choose from, taste really good. If we are ever in New Brighton again we will be back.

I’ve been coming here for years & found CC to be very good. However today has been a major disappointment because the service was appalling. When I approached the counter a gentleman was being served with ice cream by a pleasant young redheaded man. Two other staff, a man with a pony tail & a young blonde girl were chatting by the Till & ignored me. When my turn came I said to him “They’re letting you do all the work hey”, he smiled & said “yes”. The only time they actually decided to work was when the queue behind me was 6 deep. Absolutely appalling, I assumed the manager wasn’t In today, if he/she was they need sacking. I won’t bother coming again.

We've been to Caffe Cream for ice creams many times over the years and have always been satisfied with the quality and variety of products on offer .... until recently, that is. The last three visits have met with many of the more popular flavours having completely sold out. It's not as if we are visiting towards the end of the day either. I am advised that the ice cream is made on the premises "behind the scenes" so if this is the case, why aren't the containers being replenished throughout the day? Also, they need to clear and clean the tables more frequently. We asked for our table to be cleaned and this chap pulled a cloth from his pocket, squirted a bit of cleaning fluid onto the table and half heartedly wiped it over. It was still sticky afterwards. Since Covid, I've taken to carrying anti bac wipes around with me but it shouldn't be down to customers to maintain hygiene standards in an establishment that serves food.

Great service throughout visit. This is our third visit to this coffe and we wish we lived a little closer. I have to compare to Starbucks, which is less than 50 yards away (I completed a review of that unit 3 weeks ago) & there is no competition. The team are friendly and welcoming. The coffee quality and food quality is good. A very inviting location, well done to the team.

My husband and I really enjoyed our mochas and the barista Zeke made a delicious hot chocolate for our daughter, we had the tater. tots with bacon and cheese on and the pasta also with crispy bacon and cheese and our daughter had a huge cookie with cream and chocolate sauce on, thank you Linda , who checked everything was good for us. It’s spotlessly clean and a warm cosy welcoming atmosphere with lovely staff.

We were looking forward to our breakfast and both ordered bacon sandwiches. When they arrived, it was disappointing, not even two slices of bacon on there for £5 ! There was lots of rocket on there to hide the lack of bacon. Ghat being said, what there was was tasty. A little later we returned for ice cream. There was a choice of 36. It was excellant. Staff were ok

I stumbled upon this cafe whilst I was taking a walk in New Brighton and decided to have a drink and a snack. I found the quality to be good and the price to be reasonable, so I'd use it again. It's in a good position, with pleasant views, and there is outside seating if the weather is kind.

Needed to check there was no strawberry in one of the ice-creams as have an allergy. By the reaction of the server you would think it was a stupid question. Terrible attitude won't be back. Is it really too much to expect someone to be at least polite?

Absolutely amazing ice cream. We all enjoyed ours. I had the coconut vegan ice cream and you wouldn't know it was vegan as it was creamy and lovely. Would recommend and would return again!

OK visit but our sausage sandwich was greasy and dripping with butter. Coffee ok but at £16 for 2 x sausage sarnies, 2 x coffees, I thought it was overpriced.

Place would be quite nice, but if you can not get the right seat, you have to stare at what should be a pretty view, but wow what a disappointment, if it was not for that it might have got 2 or 3 star.

The vegan ice cream was ok, it was a beautifully day, and what could of been beautiful view, but OMG, right next to the place is some sort of fencing, it made me feel like was have a very pricey ice cream at a building site, not relaxing one bit! I would not bother, the view in my yard was better and more relaxing.

We went one sunny weekend which means is really busy and there was a quene. We went to get the vegan ice cream, because it was so busy, they had 3 left out of 5 I think. Only one of the cones is vegan and it is one of the smallest ones so can't really have 2 scopes, otherwise you have to get tub. The staff member who served us, gave us the wrong ice cream (non vegan) at first. It is great they have vegan options but it would good if they have more, the vegan ice creams taste great and taste if now the same as non vegan ice cream. There is other food sold there but I have no idea how much of it is vegan.

We have travelled to New Brighton regularly and used this cafe. Unfortunately they have stopped dong pastries and are ‘ concentrating on selling cookies’!! What a disappointment. Neither myself nor my husband like cookies, so we are now looking for an alternative cafe. Not everyone likes cookies!!

Four of us went for coffee & cake, there where tables available outside (inside was mostly empty) the tables out side were not cleared or cleaned. one of us order separately, their coffee was served but we had to ask for rubbish on table to...

I got vegan ice cream: oreos & cream and coconut. They were yummy. I got them in a carton as they only have one vegan cone available and it can only fit one ice cream scoop on it. Would be cool if they got another...

Have always visited caffe cream over the years and really enjoyed it but found the food choice very limited in recent times. No crisps and not much choice of cake, but disappointed.

We had a "Rustic Bacon Sandwich" here on both mornings of our stay in New Brighton. We sat outside overlooking the marine lake where people were swimming. The sandwiches were delicious. Our only problem was the cafe didn't open until 9am.

Even though the weather was blowy & rainy we had to have an ice-cream. We weren't disappointed. The ice-creams were very good quality and delicious flavours. Shame we could only eat a couple with the amount of choices there were. Staff were friendly and happy.

Sat outside by the water for a cooked breakfast, described as a "Small Breakfast", one of everything, sausage, bacon etc. Good, tasty food and a reasonable price, no complaints. Staff pleasant and friendly too.

We love Caffe Creme for its fantastic ice cream but today we decided to have lunch. Wow - what a great decision! I decided to have the soup and sandwich option. Creamy red pepper soup and the chicken, bacon and crushed avocado toasted sandwich was really tasty and just what the doctor ordered on a stormy, windy day with fabulous views of great waves crashing over the sea wall and into the marine lake. Top marks all round!

We visit New Brighton often but have never tried Caffe Creme It was such a lovely sunny November day we decided to sit outside in the sun .There seems to be a reasonable lunch menu. We had already booked elsewhere for lunch so just had coffee ,unfortunately it was only lukewarm.surely they can ensure the water is hot and steam the milk properly to give a hot drink. Will possibly give it another try in the future.

We visited Caffe Cream for a quick bite to eat and a milkshake. After this place being recommended by friends we thought we should try it. We arrived at 4:33 (I was conscious of the time, knowing that shut at 5) and ordered our drinks straight away, after them being made we went to pay and order some food. We were told that because they shut in 15 minutes they could only serve toast. This was fine as we only wanted something small. We asked for four pieces of toast, to be told we would have to be quick as they were due to shut. We sat and waited for a few minutes, during this time the staff started packing up the chairs and staking them on tables around us. One member of staff even brought their bin from outside and placed it right next to my friend. The time was not even 4:45 when they were packing away. They began muttering to each other and the young girl who served us, who was now serving someone else was incredibly rude to customers who had only come in for a takeaway drink. I am appalled by the customer service and lack of understanding that if you shut at five, why would you start stacking chairs and asking people to leave 15 minutes before you close. I am a teacher and I don’t and certainly wouldn’t finish my lesson 15 minutes early so the kids could pack away because school finished soon.

local business man who keeps production staff to a minimum but employs lots of local staff. ice cream, food and coffee all really good quality and excellent value for money.They really think about what the customer wants. Great ethos all round. only criticism.... lots of paper ice cream tubs get binned.......maybe think about recycling or composting?

We stopped in on a very sunny day in August. We all (14 of us!) ordered ice-cream and everyone liked the variety of flavours.My first issue was that I couldn't see a list of flavours anywhere (and there are 25-30 different ones!) without going right up to the counter and looking down at the tubs. This would be fine on a day when it is quiet and there isn't a queue. However, there were at least 4 other groups queuing when we went. You can't push past everyone to look at the flavours, so you have to wait until you reach the counter - then trying to get a family of 4 or 5 people to choose quickly is not easy! This results in the staff having to wait while you try and read nearly 30 labels & customers behind getting impatient. All they need to improve this, is a simple list of flavours where the customers in the queue can see it and start making their choices before they reach the counter. (If there was a list somewhere, then it was not obvious as none of us saw it!) I notice on their website they have a list of all the flavours with photos, so surely this wouldn't be too difficult to sort out.My other issue was the toilets - as many others have noted. There are 2 unisex toilets very close to the counter. I personally feel there should be an extra door between them and the cafe area. But at the very least, keeping them stocked with toilet paper would have been a help!In summary, I enjoyed the ice-cream, but not the experience as a whole.

Got vegan chocolate and vegan coconut, there were delicious. My partner got diary ice cream and coffee, which was great.

Filthy - floor sticky and covered in food debris. Tables dirty and seats stained and dirty. Two Staff were standing behind counter chatting so while I appreciate the mess was probably created earlier in day when busy they did have opportunity to clean it. Prime location should be better looked after if business is valued by owner. Toilets stink and unisex which I don’t mind if kept clean. Fabulous view which is all that it’s got going for it.

Called in for an ice cream with my little girl. Lovely location on a nice day and staff were friendly but there was a random tramp asleep on one of the tables which was a bit odd.The ice cream was too soft and very strong tasting, neither of us could finish them, just too sweet and sickly. Nothing like Cheshire farms as an example.Would call in for a coffee but wouldn't get another ice cream.

Visited for coffee and ice cream whilst having a stroll in New Brighton. Very busy but plenty of staff who got through queuing customers well. Sat at a table inside as there was no room outside but they tables were very dirty with spillled drinks, rubbish and sticky tables also the floor was very dirty. It’s not cheap in here so I would expect a much higher standard of cleanliness. The toilets are not the best either. Won’t be visiting there again.

Stopped for a coffee (Latte) which was really good and a slab of cherry bakewell cake. There was only a very small selection of cakes available but pleased with our choice as again very nice. Very clean with nice tables and pleasant staff. Only down side was the unisex toilet which is no bigger than a broom cupboard - however it was clean. Would return if visiting New Brighton again.

To exactly what you want don't make any asumtions that you,'ll get it . So speak clearly and get them to repeat it it back. Especially over toast and what is or isn't a round.....,Then it should be ok . Maybe

After a long walk along the promenade and around vale park my friend and I had a nice ice-cream good selection of different flavours looked a nice cafe for a tea or coffee or ice-cream overlooking the Mersey plenty of seats both inside and outside

My boyfriend offered to treat me to breakfast this morning, and after he scoured local establishments online he settled on this cafe, which had looked nice from the outside on previous visits to New Brighton. And so, he checked the menu online to predetermine what we wanted and we headed to the café.

To sit outside in the morning sun and have breakfast or lunch (the portion of chips is huge!) or a gorgeous sundae. My dog also loves their doggy ice cream. The only improvement they could make is to allow dogs inside apart from that I really love this place.

This over priced coffe shop is well worth avoiding and not just for the incompetent service it provides. Ordering a simple coffee is made ridiculously difficult by a system of ordering which requires upfront payment for which you receive a table number to which your order is supposedly delivered when they get round it. In our experience today that can take an inordinately long time and we got fed up with waiting. Getting your money back isn't simple either and can only be sanctioned by the manager. Coffee is certainly over priced and frankly there are much better and cheaper places to go where dying of thirst is not on the menu. I simply don't understand how somewhere like this survives - it doesn't deserve to.

When in new Brighton I would definitely recommend you calling into cafe cream very pleasant staff clean toilets and lovely ice cream

I seen a few weeks ago that they started doing cookie dough here so I thought I’d try it. £7 for a portion isn’t the cheapest but you can’t get it anywhere else around here so I guess they can charge whatever they like? But oh well. So I ordered a Nutella cookie dough which came about 10 minutes later, the place wasn’t overly busy but I didn’t mind the wait as the seats were comfy. Eventually the cookie dough came in a weird take away box made of card on-top of a place. First impressions were “errrr??” So here I had a so called cookie dough in a weird box with covered in like 3 heaping scoops of chocolate ice cream and some Nutella and these weird biscuit things on-top. First bite I took was the best however they used the pre-made cookie dough you can get from Tesco for £1.50 and gave a very thin amount underneath all the ice cream. Carried on eating it to discover that the microwave had overcooked the dough cooking it until it was basically just a cookie! So here I had a cookie underneath ice cream with Nutella. Didn’t really enjoy and just ate some of the ice cream but I guess il know what not to get next time!:)

Had fabulous bacon toastie and gorgeous coffee (pre- cinema visit). Friendly helpful staff. V relaxing there, we love it.

Stopped here the other day for an ice cream,which was amazing,I like the fact that you have two queues so if you want a coffee you'll stand to the left and if you want an ice cream you'll stand to the right,makes it quicker for the people who want a quick brew xx

Quite busy but some empty tables.The queuing system was bad.There only seemed to be one queue for food and ice creams although there was a sign that said coffee and ice cream but was not clear enough were to queue for each.Prices are not cheap but the ice cream was worth it

Great ice cream and sorbet - loads of choice including a number (rather than most places with just one) of vegan flavours ... its all yummy plus they do plenty of other gorgeous food and drink as well. The staff are GREAT - helpful, polite, cheerful. Well worth a visit.

Lovely ice cream, shame about the young man who served me - so rude. Benn loads of times as a favourite with my grandchildren, but after today will find somewhere else. Won't be back.

Wow I couldn’t believe it when I visited here today. The tables, chairs and especially the floor were fllthy. Staff seem to take no pride in their jobs and it is obvious that they are all very young and disinterested probably on minimum wage.

We visited here after our local milkshake shop stopped selling vegan milkshakes. Pleasantly surprised to find out you can get ice cream milkshakes at Caffe Cream as I was really craving one. Great selection of ice cream flavours, both dairy and vegan. I had a vegan mint chocolate and oreo milkshake and it was to die for! Definitely will be returning for more!

We chose this place based on the fact it actually looked really nice and it was quite busy. I can only assume it was busy selling ice cream and coffee, as that's all this place has going for it. The staff are all so young and impolite. I ordered a side of fries which were fowl, they arrived cold and tasted of nothing. The guy taking my order didn't look very interested either and ended up noting the order wrong which meant my husband didn't get his brunch. Overall a very disappointing visit where we won't be returning.

Visited in Feb. Amazing ice creams with very friendly service. Tables were clean and our coffee’s arrived promptly. All in all a fab cafe that I’m looking forward to returning to!

Decided to treat myself on a cold grey and miserable Saturday morning and I’m so glad I did

Took my daughter in because she liked their bubblegum ice cream, staff totally blanked me. Stood as clear as a Christmas tree in the place where you’re supposed to order ice cream for ages, yet young lad utterly ignored me and served one then another customer who seemed to float up to the middle of the whole counter instead. Thought I’d do business in West Kirby instead. Abominably rude and ignorant. This was repeat business, but never again. Daughter very upset.

I love my ice cream and have spent many hours eating it in lots of various places. But this has to be by far the best ice cream ive ever tasted i went for two scoops in a tub. Peanut butter and jam and lime pie which has to be the best scoop of ice cream ive ever had prices and sizes where great would highly recommend.

The hot breakfasts were delicious and the big mugs of coffee were great! Although the ambience was not that good, the service was prompt and the charges were reasonable. Despite the very cold wintry weather, we were kept warm throughout our journey home after dining there.

Called for tea and cake on a very busy, sunny Sunday afternoon. Dire service, very young staff with no senior to supervise them, the hardest, most stale scone ever but superb ice cream.

First visit to this lovely riverside cafe, mid morning during a half term week. Nicely laid out and clean. All seemed reasonably priced and perfectly OK. great views of the Mersey. would definitely return.

Took my family in here for a drink and ice cream it was good as they were able to choose from a selection of flavours and the coffee was very hot once it arrived. Quite busy though and so not many tables free but these were all clean and tidy when free

Came here for a quick breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Nice food and good coffee, and sitting outside at the back next to the sea is nice and peaceful. The food was a little bit pricier than expected, but was good quality.

Stopped here for a coffee and a cake on a busy Saturday afternoon. The queue for ice cream was long but the ice creams presented looked lovely. We opted for a drink and were served promptly with coffees bought to the table. Nice and hot and well presented, the danish pastries were fresh and tasty. The cafe has a good vista and seems very popular. My only criticism would be as well as clearing tables, the floors needed cleaning as there was a lot of dropped food around..

I have been going to cafe creme for years now and regularly enjoy the coffee, toast and ice creams however recently the prices of shot up especially in the hot drinks. We turned to cafe creme as they offered a reasonable coffee at a fair price compared the prices of the likes of Costa and Starbucks over the road but now I feel they’re trying to mug its loyal customers off and it makes no difference whether you go to Costa, Starbucks or cafe creme. Oh well time for refill coffee’s at half the price in weatherspoons.

Lovely ice cream parlour, also it’s had food as well of obviously a massive selection of ice cream/sorbet they are creamy but they have gluten free and dairy free not tried the gluten or dairy free, the best part is they allow dogs a must try for lite bit or ice cream A++++.

Fantastic ice creams with a vast array of flavours. We always visit when visiting family. A great place for tea or coffee - take a seat and chill out.

The story is the owners planned to open a coffee shop but then found Starbucks had taken the lease across the way. Back to the drawing board. Or rather to Italy to study the creation of fine ice-cream. This is gorgeous stuff as hundreds of thousands of customers over the last few years will attest. All the traditional flavours and plenty more. All home made with good quality ingredients and at a price to compete favourably with the ice cream vans you will find further up the prom.

Fantastic selection of ice cream (aprox 30 flavours) but a little pricey. 1 scoop £3.40, can soon add up. Don’t get me wrong, tasted great but couldn’t go all the time. Perfect for a little treat.

I visited yesterday, very popular cafe, tasty ice cream and sorbets, I also like the Americano, nice coffee.

You cannot fault the ice cream here and the chocolate is up there with the best. However the food is very average. The butty's are very plain and look clumsily put together and the side sald is miniscule and very scrappy. The soup is poor very poor ...... avoid its like a thick sludge that hangs and gloops off the spoon.The coffee is also overpriced and not great.

Been many time for ice c ream. This times needed a snack so ordered a Backn & Cheese Pannini. It was to say the least very poor. Bacon grey in colour and cheese was tasteless. Will not be returning or recommending for snacks. Other good choices in New Brighton are available.

Went here for a coffee a few days ago. The best thing about this cafe is the location on NB prom.

Great ice cream. Lots of flavours to choose from. The only downside is it is overpriced but nice for a treat and the queues can be very long during busy periods! Well worth a visit.

I went here twice last week and wasn’t disappointed, the ice cream was amazing and there’s so many flavours to choose from as well as new flavours each time! I’d really recommend going (although it can be seen as a bit expensive, it’s worth it for the quality of the service and ice cream)

Stopped here on Sunday for a coffee and the queue was massive (it went quickly though). So after queuing I decided against the coffee and wanted an ice cream instead. I opted for the medium sized with salted caramel and also the toffee fudge flavours and I was not disappointed. Gorgeous ice cream. Lovely staff even though it was mad busy. If you’re in New Brighton and fancy ice cream then go here. I love salted caramel anything and this was amazeballs. If you like ice cream you will love this place. Delicious

We just popped in yesterday on a walk in New Brighton as we fancied an ice cream. The queue was long but everyone was out and about due to the weather so it was fine and they were working as quickly as possible to get the queue down! I had a small Jaffa cake cone and my boyfriend had banana and chocolate and hazelnut and chocolate. Portions were grand and both tasted delicious! I also noticed they do vegan flavour ice creams and sorbets which is great. We ate them sitting outside overlooking the water. I was looking at other people’s lunches so we’ll definitely pop back for a lunch one day!

Ice cream here is absolutely lovely, can be expensive if you opt for more than 1 scoop but well worth the money

We waited 20 minutes after ordering just get two coffees, a few people complaining. The coffee was weak, mine was mostly froth after paying an extra 50p for soya milk! Should've stuck with Starbucks or Costa.

Visited with friend who has coeliacs .She was delighted that the vegan ice cream was also gluten free .She chose the chocolate .....it was delicious .My clotted cream and blueberry was yummy to .I love this place for ice cream .I think the decor inside doesnt reflect this excellent product.Needs bit of fun injected.They could expand into sorbets and sundaes with photos all around.
