Vicky was excellent and the staff all amazing. We especially liked the Keri with the sprout necklace.

Quiet cosy pub in Greasby with nice atmosphere and pleasant staff with plenty of parking space. Tried the 3 course set lunch which was great value for under £13. Recommend the nachos, Fisherman's Catch and Sticky Toffee pudding.

Food delicious and balanced diet wise. Atmosphere positive staff friendly and always happy to assist

Food was awful husband ordered surf and turf medium rare. Three prawns and a very small piece of steak which was extremely well done and dry. I ordered a burger which was very dry with a handful of chips no garnish etc. Very disappointing.

Lovely pub but food has got to improve. Had steaks me and my wife My sirloin was OK but my wife's was disgusting. Full off grizzle should change your steak supplier I have deleted my amber app Don't think I will be returning for food Nice pub thow

Nice atmosphere, cosy with the fires on during winter. The staff can never work the app, though. Service is good. Food is pretty decent.

Salad had a dressing that tasted "off", the waiter said he had thrown it because two people had said the same thing. I hadn't eatten much, just the bits I could pick at. He offered a drink or dessert but I was put off by it and would rather have had my money back. Wasn't offered. Edited to include what salad I ordered... The dressing and grain was mixed together. Avocado and Mixed Grain Salad (VE) Bulgur wheat, giant couscous, butternut squash, red onion and cranberries, mixed with little gem lettuce, fresh sliced tomato, cucumber and ripe avocado tossed in a zesty pineapple & ginger dressing.

Ordered rump steak with chips, onion rings, mushrooms, tomato and peas and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely have steak again. Plus we ordered prosecco which was so nice and was on special offer. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Definitely recommend coming here

Nacho starter had no melted cheese, more sauces than nachos. My burger came with ordinary chips and not skinned fries. Will not be returning in a hurry.

Lovely evening celebrating my Grandaughters 16th, food was excellent, and many plates were cleared, staff were very helpful, the chips could have done with a few more minutes, had the Tikka Masale, which is about as adventurous as I get when it comes to food, will be going back again

Had a fab Sunday roast here yesterday and took advantage of the discounted desserts. Great food and puddings to die for! Staff were friendly and efficient. We will be back!

Foods lovley. Very homely interior

Great large local pub, a real community hub. The staff are brilliant, funny & kind. The beer holds its head for the full pint showing they know their craft and the choice is multiple, interesting & tasty. The food is standard pub fare with good sized portions. The thing I like the most is the building itself, nice layout with local photos and pleasing decor.

Food was great as normal . Staff are always pleasant and always take the time to talk to you even though there busy

Meals arrived in good time. Service was pretty good, although we did have to ask for a few things that were missing. Bar staff were helpful. Place was looking a bit tired, but it is due for a revamp.

Have been coming here for many years and there has been a slow decline in the standard of food and the availability in the basics. From a lacklustre chicken to overly fatty gammon. The “crispy” roast potatoes were undercooked the carrots and parsnips were over cooked and the leek was 1 inch thick. Dunno where they pulled dessert from however because that was heaven. Though not sure if I’d describe the custard as “thick” Staff are all amazing however, very helpful and understanding and good for a satire joke. I think it’s a shame given the competition on the wirral is so high this restaurant just needs to aim a bit higher. I wish you the best but I will not be returning any time soon

Came for a Sunday roast. Was very disappointing, ordered the Sunday Duo, but got hardly any chicken, the gammon very full of fat and hardly any meat, veg was stone cold and hard, we werent given roast potatoes until we asked and when we got them they were cold and like rubber and couldn't even cut them. Did get a refund though. This was only our second time here the first time we came we had a mixed grill and it was black and burnt but we thought we would come back and see if its any better, I won't be back again. Avoid.

There was 4 of us and 2 were disabled my mum is 91 and brother 70 . When it was time to order we all wanted the steaks or mixed grill, we were told then sorry but the grill is broken. They had my number I feel I should have been messaged to be told about grill!!! I couldn’t possibly of been able to transport 2 disabled people and start to search for another restaurant. Staff were really nice, that’s the only reason we stayed. I would of liked to have been able to give a nice review

Great place and good value for money.

Mains were served at the same time as some of our group had just got the starters.

Love this place . Go there quite regular but last night we sat with our empty dirty dish's on table all night. They were not collected. We had to put them on an empty table which I don't like to do. Maybe just short staffed.!

Sunday roast was one of best I’ve had, absolutely gorgeous 😊

Always a welcoming atmosphere and genuine and friendly staff. The fixed price lunch menu is good value, however the choices are not as varied as some other pubs.

Nice pub, staff friendly but the Sunday roast was disgusting the potatoes were frozen potatoes , veg was rock hard the 1 star was for the staff, do not waste your money or time.

Went there on Saturday night for our grandson's birthday. It was extremely busy and I thought oops a mistake. How wrong I was. The service was excellent quick and efficient. My wife and I had chicken nuggets for starters, the were delicious as was our main course of lasagna. I would heartily recommend this place for food and service

8oz sirloin steak, would of been better with more chips, we ordered curry meal but was missing onion Bhajis which was a let down but was Ok Good size portion for kids meal and cheesecake was more enjoyable.

The whole experience was excellent. From being shown to your table, being able to order from the table and the politeness of the staff. Very enjoyable.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. Friendly and very attentive. The bar/restaurant areas are comfortable and clean. The food…I will NEVER eat here again. It was steak night and so we had two ‘sirloin’ steaks which was an extra £2 supplement for each one. What was served was a shrivelled lump of fat with a string of meat through the middle. We had both been in work for 14hrs prior to this and were really hungry. The portion size was that of what would be expected of a child’s menu. We had a chew of the fat, finished our beers and left. I did tell the chap who cleared the plates how dissatisfying the food was but he laughed but I assumed he thought I was joking

I was in the Greave on Wed 5th June and had a lovely meal, service and staff were amazing. Definitely be back.

My mother and I visited the greave for a late lunch and really enjoyed it I had the ham egg and chips with the eggs done how I like them Mother had the Haddock and chips no complaints there We had a bottle of pinot and a nice pint of coors lager from the bar With friendly bar staff including the two ladies Jaqueline and ceri Well done all

Very disappointed today when I visited the Greave Dunning with my husband and family friend , I ordered the grilled sea bass from the classic menu . The meal was very bland , potatoes were boiled when it stated sauté , sea bass no colour to them considering they were supposed to be grilled, prawns were rubbery and tasteless , when I spoke to sever he replied O. Very disappointed and won’t be returning again .

I have been coming here for lunch on a regular basis for years and always found it a pleasant place and good food with a good selection of beers and drinks. Seems to be quite a popular place.

Chicken was so dry I couldn't even chew it, bland, space left on my plate, so much so I thought something else was meant to be on it, I asked and he said no it's all there,,,,couldn't even be bothered filling it with extra chips... Tasted the chicken and glad they didn't!

I did a deliveroo home delivery order and the food was cold, chicken was dry, the veg we got in our roast was just soggy cabbage. My sons burger was burnt, at those prices I expected a lot more or at least better food. Not even tempted to go to the place itself after today.

Atmosphere and staff was great but, the food was extremely dry

The staff were ok and the pub was welcoming. The mushrooms had runout for the roast dinners we ordered which was a pity. When I paid the bill, I had been overcharged, so had to get it corrected before I finally paid.

Went with family. Had a three course meal, each of us tried something different, mushrooms or chicken wings to start, gammon, lasagne or burger for main and sticky toffee pudding with custard or crumble. All staff we met were attentive and friendly. All food was cooked to perfection. Had a great night out and will recommend to friends.

After a long absence from the Greave due to feeling that the food standard had dropped slightly and the decision to stop waitress service, we went back and was glad to have a lovely meal, everything was cooked perfectly. Would still like to see the waitress service return, though. Overall, I'm glad we returned 😁

Gorgeous pub, lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. Food was amazing. Dined here as a party of 6 and every single diner was very happy. I only wish we lived nearer as we would be here every week! Thanks for a lovely visit. ❤️

Tea was all sorted tonight but you know when you just fancy a burger? Tbh, not sure why we picked the Greave but boy, are we glad we did. We ordered the double bacon cheeseburger & garlic bread each. The garlic bread was very good which is nice as bad garlic bread is disappointing. The burger was......well my friends & I have a word when something is so good, there isn't a superlative big enough. That word is 'unwordable'. That burger was unwordable. Order it. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't.

Always seems busy with lots of tables reserved. We did find a vacant spot and enjoyed a juicy gammon with pineapple.

Good food, good guiness good service

Good service despite being busy.Shepherds pie was tasty but small & veg consisted of a mountain of limp,bland green beans..Surely anyone could see how miserable & poor it looked on the plate.Very overpriced for what it was.My Daughters Gammon was nice though.When paying,I checked the bill & was overcharged for 1 pint of Madri,which was quickly resolved by an apologetic lady..On the whole,it was ok & we will give it another chance,but please review your veg choices.

Lovely chilled pub. Food looks gorgeous although we never ate... We will do so in the future though.

Did not book, but we were able to find a table that was free u til 19.45 hrs, so plenty of time for us to use and leave prior to that time. Food and a bottle of wine ordered, wine delicious, food served promptly, well presented, and good portions. Very tasty too. Excellent value.

Missing salad with chicken (I’d substituted for the chips) and a side order of dauphinois potatoes was no bigger than a tablespoon
