Stopped here for lunch. Had a sausage, cheese and chutney panini and some chips, as part of a summer panini deal. However the chips served were thin, rather than thick as advertised on the offer poster and they were also really greasy. The panini itself was also very greasy and did not taste nice. Also, the cafe provides sachets of different sauces but these are difficult to open and only contain a small amount of sauce leading to lots of litter and excess packaging. They should invest in bottles of sauces for the tables. I found the food to be overpriced and in no way reflective of the high end appearance the department store aims to achieve.

I only went here once and then never revisited the cafe after that day. Why? Well, simply because their slice of rainbow- coloured cream cake was dry like the Sahara desert! I was disappointed! The cream was okay, but it was a bit too sweet. I think the slice of cake was around £3 which is definitely a bit pricey and as the slice of cake was dry, it was not worth the money. Who knows...maybe the texture of their cakes have improved. You will only know if you visit this cafe. Good luck!

Stopped in here while shopping in town. Cafe zest is a clean and tidy and well priced cafe. The staff are polite and well mannered. Didn't have to wait long for my English Breakfast to come out unfortunately the scrambled egg was cold. A member of staff exchanged the whole breakfast with out a fuss the replacement was all piping hot and very tasty will definitely be going here again. Thank you to all the staff at cafe zest

Grrrr.

Cafe zest is actually my favourite coffee shop in high Wycombe... love coming for my coffee which is great... staff is lovely, specially young guy great customer service skills ...I don't even have to say anything and my coffee is ready 😁that's amazing also Asian lady is great also...as whenever is queue she is always asking waiting customers for drinks and preparing them in a meantime... that speeds up very much service :) But it seems that since last manager left it's a bit messy every time when I am coming... this place is great but probably needs someone to keep this place up to standard like it used to be ...😊

I was shopping with my daughter and granddaughter. It was getting past midday and we were all getting hungry so I suggested we go for a meal at Cafe Zest as they had a special offer on meals for 2 adults and a child. We sat at a quiet table outside as it was quite warm. The staff were under pressure as it was Bank Holiday Monday but we didn't mind waiting. The meal was delicious and was brought to us with apologies for the delay. The staff on duty were obviously working really hard and were very friendly/accommodating. I would definitely go there again. Thank you Cafe Zest

Went for coffee on a very hot day. We sat on the outside verandah where it was lovely and cool. Coffee and teacakes were fine and refills were only 99p. It was not very busy at that time but the tables were not being cleared and some of the staff were just chatting at the till. Shame really.

After telling my sister and niece how nice this cafe was for lunch I then ended up telling them we would not be returning!! We ordered toasted sandwiches with portion of chips. My niece got the wrong toastie back and when she got the correct one it was cold! The chips tasted of cheap oven chips! The cafe was busy but lots of people were waiting ages and then getting the incorrect food. This cafe used to be lovely and service was excellent......when did it all go downhill so quickly!

Went today for a quick lunch, asked for one of the specials, the chicken malaysian style with rice, asked if it was not too hot, was told no it's not, and some white bread with it, had trouble to find a table, hardly any of them been cleared, then my food arrived, Incredibly hot, not my taste, and the bread, toasted! There was no cutlery available, had to ask for the trays to be replenished, although there were 2 people walking around, between tables, it was not even busy, hardly touched my food, so hot! An experience I won't renew, I'm afraid!

Like this House of Fraser and was impressed with cafe zest, you would expect them to be better than Morrisons, tesco etc and they were. The lad who served us was very polite and the speed of service very good. The breakfast was very nice and there was nothing to fault at all

I visited with a friend for lunch and coffees. Really liked the extensive menu on offer. We each ordered a sandwich with a side portion of chips. The portion was so generous that we could easily have shared one between us. You need to get your timing right here though, it got exceptionally busy around the main lunch period.

Situated at the top of House of Fraser this a good choice for the hungry shopper who like me gets easily bored of the 'coffee shop' alternative. To be fair you are not short of choice in the town on where to eat but if you want to be able to hear yourself think then this is a very good choice. All three of our visits have been around lunchtime, and the choice of a main meal, toasted sandwiches, soup, etc and each time we have found the food to be excellent. For the truly hungry, there is a further choice of some very tempting looking cakes and pastries, and like the savoury choices they are more generous with their portions than most.

The service was so slow. When it's approaching lunchtime, Cafe Zest might want to consider having more than one person serving. Whilst the gentleman at the till was very jolly and friendly, there's a time for a chat and a time to get on with things - lunchtime is the latter. We ordered 2 toasted sandwiches and 2 panini which took forever to arrive and when they did the order was wrong so we needed to wait another 5 minutes for the toasties to arrive. None of the food arrived hot, all warm but not hot. Perhaps this wouldn’t have been so bad had we not felt that the food was over-priced for what was finally presented. We sat for at least 20 minutes with all of the used crockery and cutlery on the table - we had the impression that they would only clear tables when customers had left. Even the customer comment card that we collected was grubby and dog-eared, hence feedback being provided through TripAdvisor. All in all, not a good experience and I can't see us visiting again.

We've had a predominantly burned breakfast (the coffee was good). The sausages were black on one side and the two pieces of toast also were matching the colour. One sausage looked like being bitten. The serving young man appeared to be very indifferent. When I asked for another coffee, I would have thought that under the circumstances, he would have offered it on the house, but he couldn't care. 9

Prices were higher than the online menu that we looked at before we visited. The food was nothing special but the prices were restaurant level. It wasn’t really worth the extra money compared with food in local pubs. Gluten free options advertised were not available and a second choice had to be made. This was handled with apology from the server and a discount to our bill was given at the point of paying, which was good customer service. However, I still suffered a stomach ache from either glutens being present in my food or from cross-contamination- both of which show no understanding of gluten-free provision. We’ll swerve this place next time….

Horrifically expensive (£21.99 for a large margarita versus £8.99 in the place next door). The gluten free crusts are not nice, very dry.

An excellent pub to have a great Sunday lunch after a walk in the Chilterns. Good atmosphere and attentive, friendly service.
