Went to the cafe on a Friday prior to a meeting to grab a sandwich and read up on some stuff for the meeting and was served by a lovely young man that was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. I was able to sit in peace and do what I needed to do whilst enjoying lunch.

It was a wet horrible day and most cafes were full but saw this advertised outside. It is on the first floor, not a large area but served very nice coffee and toasted panini and sandwich, cakes also looked tasty. Was nice as it wasn't over crowded just a steady flow of people

I am a regular customer. The staff are friendly, there is no music to disturb a conversation and importantly the coffee is excellent. Although the food selection is small, they serve fresh pastries and tasty toasted tea cakes.

As the title suggests, this is a quite and peaceful place that serves very nice coffee. Order at the counter, sit down and in a few minutes the order is brought to your table. It's worth the wait.

I have been visited the café in Waterstones since it was a costa. At first the new café was not good, the coffee was awful and the staff not friendly at all. However, on my most recent visits the atmosphere has changed along with the staff. Now they are very friendly and the choice of food and snacks is much improved, along with the coffee. Definitely the first choice over the costas and starbucks especially for my husband late in the morning or afternoon when it is quiet.

Don’t expect smiles in this place, but expect waiting for 10 min just to get tea in a dirty cup

What a little gem of a place.Table of 4 booked for their friday set lunch.Very good choices and are they were able to cater for my dietary requirements. Top that with a very friendly greeting and pleasant staff made it a day to remember and will go again.
