Myself, partner and kids frequently visit and love this café, we go early as they get busy and sometimes runout of hot food. I've tried the home made quiche, soup, scones, cupcakes and thier cheesecakes I couldn't recommend enough. The ladies there are super friendly and are generally lovely. We are always made to welcome. Wether we come for coffee and a cake or a spot of lunch the cafe never disappoints!

Una hermosa cafetería que ofrece una variedad de opciones fresco almuerzo a precios fantásticos. Realmente disfruté el café fresco y variedad de pasteles y esperamos elegir uno diferente la próxima vez porque todo parecía muy bonito. La cafetería también tiene WIFI gratis y el personal es muy amable y agradable. Muy bueno para los niños y fácil acceso para cochecitos y sillas de ruedas.

Doce 62, nombrado después de la fecha de la ciudad fue concedida es Mercado Charter está escondido al lado de la calle de María, ubicado en el mercado. La comida es casera, sabrosa y no escatiman en la cantidad que te dan para tu dinero. El personal es educado, amable y servicial. Vale la pena una visita para una comida ligera o un café.

I had lunch with a friend in Cafe 1262. The sweet potato soup was delicious as was the warm crusty roll that accompanied it. The service was excellent and the staff were warm and friendly.

You would be forgiven for not knowing about this place on visiting wigton.It is next to st.Marys church on high street.It is worth finding though.Along with homemade soup and cakes the menu is great.Everything is made fresh,paninis,sandwiches and meals.You can also buy jams and chutneys(made from local fruit) from jills jams ...(a must for anyone who loves the taste of their childhood)...A must for anyone wanting fresh ,local food at a great price.

As a discerning coffee drinker and lover of good home made cakes, I was so happy to find this place on my last trip to Wigton. I chose the cake over the soup but that looked delicious too! Clean, comfortable, relaxed and super friendly staff, free Wifi too! Best cup of coffee I had in my tour around Cumbria!

I went into this cafe for a light snack and coffee. The service was great and a smile with the service. It was very welcoming and cheap for the food and drinks they done. Would go back on my own with a book or laptop as there is free Wi Fi too!

In the middle of a house move so we ordered a takeaway Sunday lunch each for everyone. It was fantastic - generous portions and delicious home-cooked food. The staff were really friendly when I went to collect. We live locally and would definitely recommend.

Winscales Road, Great CliftonI booked a table for four to celebrate our good friends Ruby Wedding. I pre ordered bread, olives, glasses of Prosecco to have while we looked at the menu. On arrival I gave my name in and the lovely lady took us into the lounge where everything was brought to us. The bread, oil, hummus and olives were excellent. We choose our starters and mains. Three of us had scallops and for mains us ladies had fillet steaks and the lads had herb crusted cod and the bestro salmon. The food was excellent scallops were very tasty, our steak were cooked perfectly and the lads totally enjoyed there meals. We finished off with coffee for the lads and expresso martinis. I must say this is a beautiful restaurant. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help. The reception team are also brilliant they emailed me to check what I wanted for our arrival. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It’s nice to have such a good restaurant near to where we live. I noticed people complaining about cost, my view is if the food is this good it’s worth the money. Thank you Melbreak for a lovely evening of celebration.

7 Lake RoadThe best dog friendly cafe in the lakes. Gorgeous food and the warmest welcome. This is our go to place when walking in the north lakes. All of the food always hits the spot but the cakes are just gorgeous!

BorrowdaleThe menu has deteriorated unfortunately from previous high standard . Chicken Caesar salad was just over cooked breaded chicken on a serving of salad with little dressing. The flat iron steak was not in a ciabatta as advertised and not as flavoursome as it always was on the previous menu. Skinny chips instead of chunky is I suppose a matter of taste but another step backwards in my opinion
