Cafe Royal in Warwick

Visited with my 4 year old and 4 month old and made to feel at home. Geat food, service and atmosphere!

Food is so so fresh and comes nice and warm its amazing this place has to be one of the best food places in leamington CANNOT stress you enough

Lovely cafe would highly recommend when coming to Leamington! Don’t be fooled - the staff don’t wear uniform so can get quite confusing lol We had a cappucino, vanilla iced coffee and a teacake. Definitely order the teacake!

I had a lovely experience at cafe royal. Staff were friendly and the food was exceptional. The food waiting time wasn’t long at all. Great place to go for a quick bite to eat or a proper sit down meal. Can’t wait to go back

Food was good. Went for a Sunday breakfast. We were quite a big group so rang ahead and were lucky to get a table as it was heaving and a constant flow of customers. We all enjoyed our food

Overall we enjoyed our visit to Café Royal. The tables are small and it was a bit cramped. The service was excellent and the staff were always prompt in taking our order and clearing the table. The food was decent, however they forgot the bacon on the full English and the yolks on our fried eggs were rock solid. Apart from that we can’t complain as we thought the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely come back.

I've left 5x previously but it's now Starting to change for the worse, things like sausages being deep fried, no longer using free range eggs which is the reason we go, I understand they are busy but there is a reason why and that is things like free range eggs. How busy the cafe is there definitely making enough money to buy better quality why cut costs to make a few more pence and loose customers.

Called in for an early lunch on recommendation - what a fabulous bistro. Warm and friendly greeting, great atmosphere, lovely coffee and absolutely gorgeous dishes - the smashed aubergine with halloumi on sourdough was first class - looking forward to returning again soon.

Visited here a couple of times. The food, drinks & service is always exemplary. This time I had the vegetarian festive panini & a chai latte & WOW. The halloumi paired with cranberry sauce, stuffing & parsnip purée was to die for. The chai latte is one of my favourites here. Can’t recommend this place enough! 🫶🏻

Young obnoxious chap got my order wrong then proceeded to blame myself and say if I wanted it rectified it was going to cost me extra, due to the fact they were busy. Will not be coming back here again. Shame as I liked this place before.

Been seated promptly upon arrival. Within 5 minutes , ourselves and a couple from another table were asked to move as there was a table reserved for larger group. We were asked by two waitresses independently for the drink orders. Someone else was also asked twice the same thing, very chaotic. American breakfast had very dry pancake. My wife got full English with undercooked (not cooked at all actually) mushrooms and peeled tomato straight from a 30p can. Very average.

We'd been here before and previously had a good experience (good atmosphere and staff but food quality was just OK for the price (canned tomatoes etc)) but this time I noticed that the toast I had with the full English breakfast had avocado smeared along some of its sides. There was no avocado in any of what we ordered so can only assume it was recycled toast from someone else's plate or poor food standards in the kitchen. I'm intolerant to avocado but several attempts to get the staff's attention failed due to how busy it was at the time. Won't be going back again unfortunately.

Excellent place to eat. I picked this place randomly and I'm so glad I did. I picked it because I seen it looked nice on the inside. The food was really good, it was full of flavour and it wasn't oily. The drinks were perfect so that's a double winner. We tend to go to a lot of places to try them out and this is one of the good ones. We will defentely go back here when we're next in the area. The kitchen is right behind the till but it's not smelly or loud. I would say this business cares about their food and not just about making the most profit. Sounds obvious but a lot of places use cheap ingredients and don't make it well. This place does it right.

First time visiting Leamington Spa, best reviewed cafe I noticed on google. The owners were kind and considerate, I appreciate the above service. I will be back again soon :)

I have been here a few times with great food and service each time. Brilliant for breakfast, lunch and just coffee too. There's a lot of coffee ships in Leamington and this one is a favourite and it's consistently great.

Nice place with a good selection of food. I had a lovely chicken and pesto sandwich with a coffee.

Won't be eating here anymore, ordered the mozzarella chicken panini for lunch yesterday. Fever started about 3 hours later followed by stomach cramps and diarrhoea that are still here 24 hours later. I've had food poisoning before so know the symptoms :(

Very very poor service, and customer service was diabolical. Waited for a table and told to wait outside with my guide dog, then two people pay in after me and were given a table I said to them why have you done that, they said because they need a bigger table. I needed a bigger table to accommodate my guide dog but was overlooked owner and partner very arrogant and look down on customers as if they were something” of the shoe. I propose going to go here and boycotted

The avocado toast is a bit bland, the eggs bendict is wonderful. Orange juice not fresh i was a bit disappointed. Over all nice experience and atmosphere.

A really great cafe in Leamington. I know there are loads to choose from, but this is one of my favourites. The breakfasts here are great, as is lunch. The portions are massive, and really tasty. Suitable for children with some kids options too. The staff are lovely and friendly too. I'd highly reccomend!

First time visiting Cafe Royal. From the moment of entering the staff were attentive and took our order despite it being busy. I ordered the vegetarian paninni which took next to no time. The portion were generous and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back. Great service, delicious food and realistically priced.

What a great Cafe! Visited late ish on a Sunday afternoon, was made very welcome as soon as we walked in, food was fantastic and served hot! We will return when back in Leamington Spa. 5 stars indeed.

Was OK I had the breakfast and my husband had the burger. Sausage was very cheap sausage on breakfast and bacon was dry on edges and hard. Burger was also very cheap and not that good considering the price you pay for a meal there defo not worth it. I qas a bit disappointed to be honest 😕

Usually love going here for breakie! And on previous visits we would always be a 5star! Went yesterday (10th Jan) Service wasn't the best, our table hadn't been cleaned from the last people sitting at it. There was a huge dry sauce mark and the waitress had seen it but chose to ignore it. Halfway through our meal a table either side of us left after finishing their food. The tables were cleaned of the crockery and not wiped at all. And people walking in the door were just shown to sit straight at them. I'm not bothered about covid, more so I just think tables should be cleaned after every use? It's hygienic and surely a practice that was done pre covid? Our waitress got our order wrong and didn't seem to be too bothered by it. When advise of the error she did say she could get the missing item but didn't seem to show an interest or much of a worry about it. It felt like she was there physically but mentally she was elsewhere? Our bill was £30 and some odd pence, for a pot of tea, latte, pash n shopt smoothie, scrambled egg on toast ,1 full English, 2 hash browns and 2 slices of white bread. Now usually price doesn't bother us but this time it seemed so expensive and we were not sure if there was a price Increase or there had been an error on our bill. However we paid and just left as it seems now the place is more interested about making money faster than customer care or service like it was when they first opened. Very disappointed as this was always our go to for breakfast but we are going to try elsewhere now.

It was a very busy Sunday and the staff were so attentive and quick. Drink was nice and those who had cake loved them.

Ordered a full English takeaway but it was really average. The cafe looks really nice inside so maybe it would be worth the price if sitting in, but as a takeaway it was overpriced and not great quality. They were cheap sausages and hard boiled eggs have nothing on their fried eggs as the yolks were rock solid. Spoons fry up is better value for money and actually nicer.

Very good, they make great bacon,egg and brie sandwiches. They will even melt the brie if you ask nicely

This place is such good value. The food is amazing. Service is lovely and polite. Food is well made and presented. They have loads of gluten free options!! The dream!

Beautiful little café! Everything on the menu is fantastic value! I had the vegetarian panini and it was really nice! Their hot chocolate is fabulous! Staff so friendly and checking up all the time! Only slight issue of mine was that they allow dogs inside which isn't my cup of tea but I would still recommend!

Great for a quick meal or brunch, location is convenient as well. Not a lot of variety of dishes to choose from but it does the job, prices are very affordable for what you get and for that I recommend it. Staff were nice and kept checking in every couple of minutes to make sure nothing was needed.

Finally managed to visit again. Missed this place so much during lock down. We were served by Sedef. She was a breath of fresh air. We ordered right away and we were not disappointed. I tucked in to a delicious chicken panini, chips and salad garnish. My friend had a chicken pesto with salad and crisp garnish. Sedef was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our tea with extra hot water for that essential top up. A visit is a must to round off a days shopping. See you soon.

Wonderful for breastfeeding. Not only was the food great but I found the staff to be wonderful and accomodating when I was breastfeeding and the young male staff were really kind, professional and not at all awkward when talking to me whilst I fed my baby. Thanks guys 👏👏👏👏

Arrived at 4 on a Sunday and they were more than happy to take our hot food orders. Very friendly and relaxing place, felt at home here, and the food was delicious to boot. We had a bbq chicken panini to share, and a Victoria sponge and carrot cake. The panini was crispy and made with focaccia bread (yum!) and super cheesy. The cakes were really moist and sweet, and the coffee was great.

Lovely cafe in centre of town. Great service, clean not greasy, great decor, great music, great range of options on the menu, pancakes, muffins, full english, just toast, all the way to some really tasty meals, just everything you could want. I had cheese on toast ! Was lovely, really nice bread with fresh side salad. Definitely recommend and I am quite fussy !!
