Absolute gem. Wonderful coffee and cakes!

Wonderful coffee and service as well as being a dog friendly place.

I was lucky to stumble accross this little gem, having lived in Warwick for a few years I am disappointed that I haven’t found this gem sooner. Lovely friendly staff, exceptional quality food the breakfast is very satisfying. Upon settling my bill I was able to take away our favourite (pastel de nata) as a treat for my family the Portuguese tarts are very delicious and highly recommended. A sign caught my eye and we are booked in for the Tapas night on March 16th which will are very much looking forward to. This is a unique hidden gemstone that has a lot to offer

Would highly recommend the custard tarts topped with almonds! Very nice staff and great coffee too. A great place to stop by for a quick bite. Quite close to the centre of Warwick. Outside seating is available too.

Unfortunately our order was taken wrong, either not written properly or not listened to properly, partner asked for well done eggs and 2 rashers of bacon on toast, he got 2 underdone eggs and no bacon, however the missing bacon was quickly rectified. May be our fault we didn't bring up the eggs as didn't want to cause a fuss. The egg on full English was snotty too unfortunately. So 3 un eaten eggs. The Portuguese bread for toast is good though

I really loved it. Great honest prices and everything we tried was very good and homemade. I really recommend it instead of wasting money in restaurant chains.

Spotted this place on the Internet, so I booked a breakfast for my wife & I, which was very good. Service was very attentive,friendly, clean. A trickle of customers flowed in, even early in the morning, which is a good sign. We even took away some Portuguese cake / mini chicken pie too. We would recommend.

I really enjoyed eating in this place. The cakes are delicious. However, last time I had a really bad experience. I was “kindly” asked to leave without even finishing my cake. I stayed there for less than 15 minutes. I didn’t understand what was happening at the beginning. I was talking with someone at the restaurant while I was eating and the waiter came to ask me if I wanted something else. I said it was okay and I said I wanted to finish my cake. He said “I can bring a box” and he did. He packed my food so that I could leave and I left. It was so quickly I didn’t even realized what was happening. Later, discussing it with the person I was with I noticed that they might have asked me to leave because I was speaking aloud. I would have preferred them to tell me, I am deaf in an ear and I didn’t even notice. I consider it was really rude and I am not planning to come back.

Lovely cafe just a 10/15 minute walk from Warwick Castle. Great value lunch and we spotted really well priced breakfasts (including a vegetarian breakfast). There is a small amount of seating inside and out. We sat outside in the November sunshine which was surprisingly warm! It's on a busy road but good for people watching and lots of dog walkers sitting outside. They also had water for the dogs. We enjoyed the food, Portuguese juices and good coffee. The Portuguese rolls were really light and the custard tarts were tasty. Young and friendly staff dealing with a busy Saturday afternoon but the tables could do with being cleared a little quicker. Limited parking outside but not too far to walk to nearby street parking (e.g. Broad Street and Cherry Street) which is free for a couple of hours. Will definitely be back!

We frequently buy cakes to take home, the choice is excellent and cakes are always delicious.

Only my third visit, but I do like this place. Charming, thoughtful service, superb pastries, excellent coffee. I'm certain this is the first time I've given anywhere five stars. Well done.

Great coffee, tasty sandwiches, panini's and breakfasts and lovely cakes, particularly their Patsel de natas. The staff are always friendly and efficient.

Had one of the worst takeaway hot chocolates I've ever had here. The cup was tiny, milk was warm and tasteless and it was £3.25. I've had their custard tarts here before which are excellent, but this time only average. Wouldn't visit again.

Amazing Portuguese cakes, tasty and strong coffee, such a friendly staff . We loved the venue, small and intimate . Perfect for a Sunday morning out. Definitely we will return.

Lovely cafe just down the road from Warwick town centre. Well worth a visit with Portuguese pastries and cakes to go with the coffee. The Pastel de Nata were freshly made and delicious. Friendly and helpful staff.

Had a lovely hot chocolate and fried eggs on a wonderful lightly toasted ciabatta! I would very much recommend this place. A much needed warm through on a very cold day.

Usually like this place, but today they refused to serve food at 14:15, although open until 4pm. This very hungry person went to the Warwick Street Kitchen instead, which was great!

Sat outside in the sunshine with good coffee and bacon rolls. Good ciabatta's with bacon, downside was that I forgot to say no butter, who butters bread , not great but thankfully not loads. Would go back

Extremely disappointed to arrive at 2.50pm and be told that the kitchen closes at 3 when hours are advertised as until 4. Coffee great. Sausage roll to share :( very tasty. Portuguese tarts excellent but needed a bit more. Only 4 stars because we've been here before a while back

I don’t really have much to say about this place, which isn’t usually a great sign. All I can say is that the food was overall average, not terrible, not great. It satiated me, but didn’t make me enjoy it.

Fabulous pastries, coffee good (1st flat white was excellent, 2nd flat white made by a different person was fairly good), very friendly and dog loving. On my list of 'top go to cafes'.

My wife and I had a lovely breakfast here this morning, served by very friendly young ladies. Would definitely recommend, and will return when in the area again for sure.

Watch your head if you are over 5foot 8. However, classic Portuguese cakes and good pastel de nata. Delta coffee is served here. it's a typical Portuguese coffee if you get the espresso- the closest you'll get to a bica, it's strong and very consistent but hardly gourmet. Still though, I'll be back when nearby for that quintessential taste of Portugal.... Shame there's no beach nearby.

The food was very good, service was excellent

The English breakfast was very nice. My hum and cheese panini and salmon panini, all good. One suggestion, the table needs to be unstick, clean. It was something that annoyed us a bit. But I am sure next time it will be solved!

Used to be a lovely, consistent café with delicious breakfast, however not sure if the staff have changed and have dropped the ball a bit. Received the wrong order for breakfast, but was billed for the other one which we originally ordered. It is a shame and I hope they can change in order to keep up against the new WSK.

Superb little cafe (actually not too little there is an upstairs). The poached eggs and breakfast tea are perfect. Lovely golden eggs and Portuguese bread. We have had consistently great service. Plus the Portuguese custards are to die for.

The staff are lovely but the breakfasts are poor. Most of the breakfast was microwaved and the sausage was inedible. Pricey too!

Amazing coffee. Amazing food and amazing staff. A very welcoming beautiful cafe offering incredible specialised cakes from Portugal and a very nice coffee all for a good price. You must stop in the try if you're ever visiting the area

A lovely place to spend a Saturday morning with a great range of Portuguese cakes and pastries. Can be difficult to get a seat its that popular!

Great little place, fantastic homemade cakes and coffee to go with it. Always feel welcomed and looked after. One of the few places I feel really comfortable going to alone or with my dogs. There are a lot of places that say they dog friendly, but make you feel like you should've left them at home...not here. All the staff are fantastic and caring. Lauren is an assist to this little place always smiling and accomodating and is a super star. Dee is lovley and really takes pride in the work she does here.

Visited Sunday having been a regular for years. Outside tables covered in debris nobody clearing them. Inside was told by very surly girl ‘ we can only do takeaway for coffees as we have no cups or plates.’ Realty? Such a shame!

Stopped by for the first time today whilst on a long dog walk. Service was excellent really friendly staff on arrival, offered us a dogs bowl as well. The cakes are huge and amazing. Will defintley stop by again. Staff are a credit to you, don't very often receive service like that anymore.

Superb. The chorizo, pork belly and bean stew was delicious, the coffee excellent, the staff friendly. Takeaway cakes were equally perfect. Will go for lunch again soon.

Having been a regular for years and had excellent service for the second weekend in a row, 20 minutes wait for 2 coffees. Uncaring staff who just said you’ll have to wait, only one can use the coffee machine! People walking away in droves. Such a shame.

Went there Saturday morning. Got a table outside. After 15 min waiting and not even a hello from the staff went inside to order. Very simple, 1 expresso and 1 pastel de natas. Went back to my table outside. After more 15 min, nothing. Went inside. Staff was taking care of other duties. I asked what's happened and they told me to just wait. Went home. Terrible service. If you don't have enough staff not a problem. But in that case don't put so many tables outside if you can't cope. I guess will never be back. Funny enough friends told me it used to be good.

We visited twice - once for almond Portuguese almond tarts to take away and then to sit outside for a coffee and another tart. Very friendly staff, very good coffee and the cakes were far superior to anything we had in Lisbon. The almond cakes...

The pastel de nata (egg tarts) are really good! Everyone is super friendly everytime i go there. Great selection of teas and good coffee :) reusable cups and cash is accepted. Good place to do work with wifi. Seems popular with the cycling teams around

I love Pastelaria Portuguesa and I do recommend them as the product quality is amazing, just be careful when taking away -- bring a calculator! I've been taking away cakes and they have different prices for eating in and takeaway. The latter being cheaper, every time I go there, they charge me the eat in price! I keep hearing the same excuse that it was a mistake... they are definitely lying as all of the staff members did the same to me. The last 4 times I went there, they did the same thing and I was served by 3 different staff members. So it's not a mistake. I am disappointed that I have to tell them each time that they are charging me extra... every time! They should just increase the prices if they are that desperate instead of trying to rip you off by 20p for each cake you buy to take away. Disappointed. Lovely food, bad staff. And I do check... imagine how many didn't...

Get here early to have the best selection. It's amazing how many they make and yet can run out quick as it's very very popular. We particularly love the almond custard tarts and the cinnamon rolls. But everything is great.

Nice staff. Nice building. We had two toasted sandwiches which were very nice (Piri Piri was super). Daughters sausage roll was great. Good coffee. Almond pastries were ace. Reasonable prices. What's not to like.
