The Globe in Warwick

had a stay here to attend Warwick castle on Halloween,couldn't recommend it more the whole place was lovely immaculate clean very polite helpfull staff ,the rooms were excellent clean comfortable beds ,the food and service was ten out of ten ,will only ever stay here when I visit Warwick again

Went for lunch and it was Very very average unfortunately. Spaghetti Bolognese was lacking flavour & meat and was poorly presented & no parmesan cheese offered. Fish & chips were ok but fish was over crispy and the peas weren't mushy. Nice chips and tartare sauce. Nearly didn't stay for food as the place was clearly understaffed. One person serving the restaurant and bar is not good enough. We saw a pizza sat under hot lights for 10 minutes waiting to be served ( glad it wasn't mine). Disappointing.

Just had a fantastic lunch! The drinks were spot on, and the service was incredible—our server was super friendly and really knew the menu. The Pancetta & Mozzarella Croquettes were absolutely delicious, though the Rigatoni Calabrese was a tad oily and massive, making me feel guilty for leaving some behind! We capped it off with the Apple & Cinnamon Crumble, which was also amazing but very generous in portion size. The atmosphere was lovely and clean, making it a great place to unwind!

Food was expensive and felt like the chef had upended an entire bottle of black pepper over it then doused in chilli oil, menu didn't mention any of this, I've had extremely spicy hot sauce that's milder.

The team are always a pleasure to work with, super friendly & are a integral part of the Buzz team in Warwick. The Globe is a bright and airy pub, with outstanding food.

Great family meal. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, good menu and friendly waiters.

We went in for a lunch sitting. The building is really nice inside and out. The food was great and we were surprised by the pizza oven in the corner. Would certainly go again. Would recommend.

We booked a table for 15-20 people at the Globe on Saturday night for a birthday celebration. The venue was spot on for fun, with a laid back celebratory atmosphere, live music and great pizzas. Thanks so much to all the staff for looking after us so well!

Had a lovely two night stay at the Globe. The service was fantastic, the bed comfy, the area quiet and the wood fired pizza was delicious. Not to mention the delicious hollandaise on the eggs Benny in the morning. I had an early check out to catch a train and the staff even went to the kitchen and got fresh croissants for the trip. Would definitely stay here and eat here again

Nice food but very sparse on portion size and expensive for what you got. Had steak chips and peppercorn sauce and half a tomato!! No side salad or peas to compliment the dish around £28 so for that price you expect a little bit more. Shame although nice wouldn’t go again.

Went here for dinner. It’s in a great location. It’s a big pub with lots of seating choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a pretty large table of 7 people. They sat us quickly and we had lots of space around us. The decor was lovely and reflected the theme and vibe of the pub. The drinks were nice. The pint of beer was good and the glass of red wine was delicious. I had a salad bowl with roasted cauliflower. It was delicious. My friends had rump steak, gammon and egg, burger and children’s meal of spaghetti bolognaise. They said the rump steak was delicious but the peppercorn sauce was a bit runny. The gammon was delicious but thought there could be peas served with the meal. The spaghetti bolognaise was delicious but the garlic bread was a bit dry and not much garlic. The burger was great but maybe a few more chips would be good.Overall, the portions were a bit small but we were all full at the end and didn’t need a dessert! The children’s dinner had a brownie for dessert which was delicious. The child dropped a bit of his brownie on the floor and the waiter replaced it with another brownie! That was a nice gesture. I’d definitely return to eat and drink there. Saw there was a special of bottomless pizza for £15.95 and bottomless Prosecco or Grolsch. That looks like a good deal!!!

Disappointing Sunday roast, cold meat and a fairly small portion in general. Also any resturant that thinks they have the right to add on a 10% service charge to the bill on top of the prices listed on the menu deserves a 1 star review

Eight of us enjoyed a lovely evening celebrating my daughter's birthday. Food excellent and the guy who looked after us was very attentive and made the evening very special.

What a lovely find, a hidden gem behind the town square. We dined on Sunday lunch time, the wait wasn't too long for our food which was delicious. Definitely be going again when i visit Warwick, which i do often as my son lives there

We ate here yesterday evening, and the service was genuinely garbage - but unusually not from the regular staff who were great, but only from the manager. We looked at the menu and saw a decent looking margarita with a burrata on top, so ordered a couple of those. And some of our table fancied a bolognese. No problem. Pretty simple right? The pizza - and I wish I’d got a photo - was great but the “burrata” was just a mozzarella popped on top 🤔 The bolognese - some pizzas arrived. That’s weird. Turns out there is a bolognese pizza on the menu as well but the staff aren’t trained to ask whether we mean the pizza or pasta when we order! We even queried the price as it was meant to be less and were told “perhaps it’s a service charge?” Rather than obviously thinking “huh - perhaps they mean the other one”. Anyway, ok it happened and we were chill about it. This is where the manager stepped in and genuinely gave us a dressing down. She ignored our pleas that we probably will have one or two of them so don’t stress, and then when I went up to again repeat this she told me “the longer you’re here saying all this the longer it’ll be before I can get to the kitchen to ask them to make spaghetti” (!) We were then told we could have one of the pizzas gratis - despite our showing a receipt that we’d paid for six dishes. My wife then went up to confirm that when again she was told it’d be free before running the receipts and sheepishly realising her error. Then to cap it all - instead of knocking anything of the bill for just ruining the meal with her attitude she refunded us 75p difference between the bolognese pasta and pizza 😂 So TL;DR - if you want terrible service - go here!

We stayed overnight in a double room and enjoyed breakfast in the morning. Nice looking place, all the staff we met were friendly and attentive. The lady who was managing breakfast did an excellent job and we noticed how she bent over backwards to keep an older couple happy despite their petty grumbling about not liking sourdough bread or streaky bacon. The patience of a Saint! 😉 Maybe our room could have done with a bit of maintenence but it's a 3 star hotel, not 5. Well worth the money and we would stay again 👍

Good pub food with some interesting options. Service was a bit slow, but it was Saturday night and the bar was busy.

We ordered drinks and the bar man was knowledgeable about his wine stock and offered a taste so I could be sure I’d enjoy my drink I had an English wine that was very good He had the Fullers London Pride a favourite of his that’s rarely seen The menu was a good selection and being able to watch the chef in action was nice too An excellent outside area that’s a sun trap during the day Another bar that is equally good is opposite too All in all a great experience

A wonderful place, clean and great service. We served English Breackfast and it was delicious, you can see that they are fresh, I've never eaten better bacon anywhere, yamii and eggs very well cooked. The chef deserves all the praise and the girls in the restaurant are very nice

It's a nice building but feels like it's being run into the ground. Cobwebs, crumbs all over the table, Disinterested staff and the beer didn't seem well kept.

A quaint little inn that we highly recommend. The Globe was perfect for our family of 3! The room was spacious made up of two separate rooms that included a full bed in one and two twins in another. The shower was very luxurious complete with a waterfall nozzle. The towels were fluffy and big, which were a bonus in our experience with hotel towels. The staff was friendly and very professional. The included breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend the full English and eggs Benedict. Will definitely return if our travels bring us back to Warwick. Also, make sure to visit Ronnie’s Bar on the high street while in town.

Awful.. Just Awful.. To start our waitress was moody and there was zero communication from her, she set up the table and left. When the food came the bacon was burnt, black and crusty, eggs hard and the crushed avocado was a thin layer of guacamole not an avocado. The bacon that came with our children’s pancakes was raw! We had to complain and they replaced one breakfast with exactly the same standard of poor quality, this time I had burnt and raw bacon.. amazing how such a nice restaurant can have a chef that can’t cook bacon and eggs. The waiter then said very sorry and agreed the food was poor, he then said that the bill would be adjusted. When it came time to pay the bill i was confronted with the manager who said yes the way we cook the bacon does tend to burn the edges but then said the bacon wasn’t burnt and that she’s not had any other complaints.. go figure.. in Warwick they serve a much better breakfast in Morrisons supermarket for a fraction of the price.. we won’t be coming back.

Great night away. Here for one night . Room very clean excellent comfy bed. Bathroom clean although small but OK for a night. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

A pleasant place with friendly staff. We were with a group so a decent order. My food was ok, pricey for a bowl of spaghetti bolognaise. My son’s pizza was overcooked so much so the cheese had disappeared. The chips were sooo overcooked and £5.50 for about 15 chips. It appeared that the pizzas were cooked in the pizza oven and were obviously ready before everyone else’s good so were taken to the kitchen to be kept warm? Never a good idea with pizza. Flatbread with chicken and chorizo - essentially a pizza. Definitely not a flatbread. Hey ho. It is what it is. We were all starving so it filled a gap.

Large group of us getting drinks here for a hen do. The staff were very pleasant and could not have been more accommodating. 10/10 service. The manager was fantastic and a special shout out to Stanley for just being a good sport.

Nice meal but not the best I have ever had. Great atmosphere and setting. Maybe just an off night.

Brilliant pub. Absolutly packed which speaks volumes. Was made totally welcome.

We had a very pleasant dinner with 12 friends. Great service but let down with one inedible steak. They were good enough not to charge. 11 of us ate very well.

It's a good place. The highlights being, the staff are friendly, there's a coffee machine in the room, the breakfast was great and they serve excellent pizzas. The only negatives are that there is no parking at the place and our room (Room 4) needs some WD40 on the bathroom door.

Had brunch today at the globe - had salmon eggs avocado on sourdough and smashed sweet potato- food was amazing and service was fabulous!

Ordered Moules Mariniere for two plus two pizzas. The pizzas were good but the muscles arrived looking very lonely and dry without their liquor. They were aaccompanied by cold chips and two half rounds of dry sour dough bread to mop up the invisible liquor. No dishes were provided for empty shells and when requested, one small dish was slapped on the table. Very poor and over priced!

Ordered Muscles as a main but received small portions without bowls to dispose of the empty shells. Food was delivered cold and with little or no liquor, and what there was wasn't as per the menu description. An expensive dinner left hungry with a large bill to pay. Luckily the kids pizzas were good as always.

Superb Sunday lunch with the family. Excellent surroundings, food and service. Eamon who served us was very attentive and helpful and was a really hit with our 6 year old daughter, too. Highly recommended. Not the first great meal we’ve had here and won’t be the last.

Had dinner at the restaurant, Eamon is a top waiter had the best recommendation burger with pork & black pudding is 100!!

The food and ambience was really nice. There was a big difference between portion sizes between vegan and non-vegan Sunday roasts, which (vegan was about half the size but still as expensive). Can't fault the service or food quality, but was just disappointed the cookie dough wasn't available for dessert when we visited. Just means a return trip I guess 😅. Would have been five stars if the vegan dish was more substantial, or at least less expensive.

Die Zimmer sind im Großen und Ganzen gut. Allerdings war der Teppich für meinen Geschmack etwas zu fleckig und das Bad zu kalt. Da ich schon um 7 mit dem Taxi abgeholt wurde und es erst um 7:30 Frühstück gibt viel dieses für mich komplett aus. Deswegen in Summe nur 3 Sterne.

...Worth every penny. While the beer is rather on the pricey side, the lines taste fresh, the wine was premium, and while the same applies for the food menu, words cannot express how delicious it is. The pizzas taste fresh, the pasta was well presented and made, and the service is top notch. Bonus points for being able to make superb coffees which is one that not enough hospo places can do right (Minus coffee shops and places with automated coffee machines) Thank you Helen for your amazing service. Stan as well!

We stayed for two nights at The Globe and thoroughly recommended it as a hotel and also a good place to eat an evening meal. The rooms are clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. The shower was the best we’ve ever found in a hotel! The breakfast was well cooked and delicious and there was a good selection on the menu for the evening meal which, again was beautifully prepared and delicious. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. In all, I would recommend this as a place to stay if you are visiting the Warwick area.

Great location with good choice of drinks and really nice pizza. Staff were professional and service was speedy. I would recommend getting the pizzas as they were the highlight of the meal!

We saw this restaurant the day before we visited and thought it looked nice. Although it says pizza based food there are other foods available. The pizzas however were amazing. Good service. And also good for lunch or dinner.

Managed to get a last minute booking and after looking through the menu had high hopes with how well laid out it was and the variety of choice it seamed to give! But that’s where the fairytale ended as when the food came out it looked like it had been thrown together from a back street kitchen. Poor quality ingredients and no taste or seasoning just bland through and through. When asked how the food was? I told the truth and said it was poor. The waiter apologised and took it off the bill but then to add insult to injury added a 10% service charge to what was already a disastrous experience. Also during my time at the Globe I attended the toilets and felt like I had to wipe my feet on the way out as the toilets were so grubby and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Would definitely not recommend eating at this place.

Clearly too many things on the menu - none of the items we had were tasty or even cooked very well, Pizza was particularly poor despite making a feature of having a huge pizza oven (which we noted went out of service the next day). Cocktails were OK but had hardly (any?) alcohol... and none of it was particularly cheap, we felt a bit ripped off overall.

Christmas meal was very expensive for what was delivered. We knew the price obviously before we booked, but were expecting greater things. The prawn and ‘no Lobster’ starter was embarrassing, the main meal was cold and each plate was missing different things. We’ve actually eaten there on Christmas Day and thoroughly enjoyed it, maybe different owners ??? I will not eat here again

Food was absolutely delicious as always, however the service was nonexistent. We had three courses and we had no check ins on any course, making it hard to order more drinks and point out when we didn't get the veg that was part of the menu. I would have been sympathetic if it had been busy, but there were only two other tables in the restaurant the whole time we were there and there were at least 4 waiting staff. I actually think we could have walked out without paying but we went to the bar to make payment after waiting at least 15 minutes. We asked to have the service charge removed due to "poor service" and weren't even asked for any feedback at that point. Very disappointing when we have had many good meals here before.

First time here & never again. Firstly the draught coke was water then we asked for 2 roast beef dinner to be done as rare as possible. At no point did they advise that the meat is already very well done. It came out with the very cremated side down on both plates. The meat was inedible. We ordered a separate cauliflower cheese with we had put on the original plate. When they took it away they were going to bring back the original one with the replacement lunch. 2 more plates arrived with the beef being ok but was cold & had the texture of liver. The carrots were burnt & raw & the whole plate was just cold, the roast potatoes were cold too & we were still waiting for the cauliflower cheese. Absolutely appalling food. To top that off they charged us for one whole lunch when we hadn’t consumed any food. To be told that they had made us 4 meals so we had to be charged for 1 😡😡😡😡. The waiter came out after we sent our second meals back to say that our beef was lovely. So we were charged for the staff to have their lunch. There were other people sending food back too. The description of the Sunday lunch was very far removed as to what was presented. We paid £34.70 for 1 coke & 1 spritzer 😡😡😡. APPALLING😡😡😡😡😡

I often stay away &!rarely write reviews but this place was brilliant. Lots of character, spacious & clean but what was outstanding was the service. It’s not often you visit somewhere & can recall several of the staff days later. Well done!

After a day at Warwick castle decided to go for a drink and something to eat in Warwick and come across the globe Really welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and nice to see an open kitchen. I had the Sunday roast which was excellent Just a decent end to the day!

Food was mediocre at best. If it was half the cost it would still be over priced. I had the chicken burger which was £17.50, which was very bland.
