Everything is very well indicated, there is no way to get confused

Good airport. The security check was almost without a queue and passed quickly, there are free bags for liquids up to 100 ml. And they made it very cool that all premium lounges are in one area, you don't need to run and search for different gates.

How was Gatwick Airport: "Busy, very busy"

Not happy with their policy of charging for drop-off. Id driven through the dropoff area while looking for short stay parking, I wasn't even in the zone for 3 mins and I received a fine. It's outrageous they are charging a fiver for less than 3 mins, that's like 100 quid an hr. I appealed the find and it was cancled but these companies need regulating

Something small for everything it moves and very thorough in the security control. Go with time. Restoration not excessive but varied

Rarely use this airport so can't say if my good experience is a fluke

It's my local Airport as in the South Coast. So much easier to get to for flights than Heathrow for early flights.

As I remembered, huge but very comfortable

Gatwick airport is good as it gets the only downfall is the short stay drop of stays and pick ups, got a “Fine” and tried to pay online they disregarded my complaint with evidence provided that I tried to pay online and they still issued me the ticket/fine to pay 60£ all they care about is money and nothing else I know it’s a money making scheme but have some sort of consideration when someone has actually tried to pay in advance and their systems were not working of some sort!!!

Ladies toilets were disgusting and no staff to report too according to my lovely wife

Rip off charge to drop off passengers, literal highway robbery. Even when you use long stay for free drop off it is tricky and at times dangerous to access escape lane in front of Hilton. It’s truly a disgrace and indeed an embarrassment to this country.

Waited 1 hour for the suitcases to come after we left the plane.

Easy Jet staff excellent. Special assistance staff first class. My only gripe is the price of things at the airport.

Than law and guidelines This abuse of authority not only erodes genuine freedom but also contravenes (or creative and strongly bend) legal protections, making a mockery of passengers’ rights to informed, voluntary decisions. I don’t blame the employees because I’m sure they get systematic training with misinformation. This new procedure have several stages of trying to „convince“ the person to change his mind, what costs unnecessary time. The last guy who did the searching, saw it as it is and shared my opinion and had to be very thoughtful with his words to don’t speak it out directly, but his opinion was clear and the only positive human thing. Please start to respect the Equality Act 2010, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Guidelines and Department for Transport (DfT) Guidelines

One of the 3 main airports surrounding London. All the usual amenities. Shops, restaurants seating areas etc

Pleasingly modern. Free newspapers and magazines at the gate area. Unexpected but a nice touch nonetheless.

Busy fast-paced airport. Clean and well-kept. All the staff seemed really on the ball, friendly and helpful. Efficient start to finish.

Maze of a place and they expect you to do everything yourself apart from flying the planes

Easy to get to, many shops and viewing points that overlook the airport, Little delays and security is usually quick to get through !

The Airport directors should be ashamed of themselves at the Dirtiest Car park in Europe. It’s an excellent facility but filthy. It’s very pricey and I can cope with that but the standard cleanliness from start to finish an utter disgrace and visitors to England see this. This Is only about an Appallingly bad management… Get off your backside walk the course and see how filthy the place is… Or are you just too busy counting the money? I’m ashamed

Very nice stay. Friendly staff Kids eat free and made our stay very easy for our transfer for our flight. Clean and comfortable

The utter unbridled arrogance of Gatwick management ; I arrived at Gatwick airport to be confronted by locked luggage trollies , it appears that every international traveler is expected to carry a U.K. pound coin !!! I travel the world , never ever encountered such nonsense ! The hassle and trouble to get my hands on a single pathetic gold 1 pound coin , leaving me with 4 spare ones to throw away … get your act together Gatwick !!!

Had a great experience at Gatwick, thanks to my sister at the the check in desk for offering me free check in of my hand luggage because customs at Heathrow would have taken everything 😭 Food outlets are limited. Super friendly staff and the prayer facility is amazing. The pastor is great and the energy is everything.

What a dirty airport..... gives the wrong first impression to any visitors. In need of an update

Worst sitting options. Imagine you have to sit on plastic/wood benches, while not having many options to charge your phone or laptop.all this in 2024. You have better sitting and charging options in buses in Barcelona or Madrid than in this airport. To don’t say that is far from most of the airports in Europe.

Travelling long haul from Gatwick South Terminal. Very helpful staff as I required assistance. BA club lounge is very comfortable and the food and drinks are reasonable.

There is a fast track for families. Children's play area and drinking water station near Harrods downstairs by the toilets.

They don't post the departure gate early enough. There is a lack of seats. The benches are wooden and uncomfortable. Few places to load. There appears to be few toilets and water fountains.

I have no issues. In and out of the airport 10/10. All is good, Security checks to boarding all are good.

Rubbish service, when we back into uk, there are more than 10 costumer officers working, but only one dealing with All Other Passport , so more than 100 people standing here for more than 2 hours for nothing, it’s totally discriminate against people who hold All other passport.

It was good there. There are plenty of shops. The gate to my flight was quite far though.

Well we got to London Gatwick airport at 4:50 this morning it was good coach drive down to Gatwick airport it was cold but at least I visited London Gatwick airport one again I’ve not been there since 2016 and it’s changed a lot now south terminal and u got north terminal south terminal is good to go though and I will definitely visit London Gatwick airport again

South Terminal is a very busy airport these days. The 3 Star has more to do with the fact it looks tired and messy. But I guess this is due to the high flow of people. Otherwise, there is plenty of food and generally stuff on offer.

The best thing about Gatwick is the closeness of Premier Inn Hotel. Otherwise Gatwick is programmed to extract as much money from you as possible. I entered the bag drop off of Tui Airways quite nicely but after that the extra £6 paid to fast track security was a joke. The guy said put everything in the tray. So I did. Then the next official said I needed to take off my shoes which previous guy said wasn't necessary. So I did. Then I set off body scanner so 3rd bloke said I needed searching. No problem as I'm honest girl. But it was only that I hadn't ironed my jeans that warranted the body search. Know that they have a job to do but why is it me everytime that gets this reaction. AND I work for an airport! So I know! Then they throw consumerism at you. Electric lights heat and walking too much for 4am. Sent me into a faint. Needless to say 2 glasses of water and removing coats sorted it. Be prepared for everything at Gatwick !!

No crowds easy train to central London

Only downside was walking along looking at the individual screens in luggage pickup. Would be great if they had a couple of large ones with all information

Really like Gatwick airport , compare to luton is much better , specially for families with small kids there is lot of help , also priority passport control on the way back.

Easyjet cancels flights for fun, and I hope no one has to go through what I had to, to “claim” back your expenses, a nightmare. If you can just avoid using this company, save yourself a headache

Shame shame on the Airport! After long flights the family line queue is crazy slow. We were queuing with small toddler of 1.5 years old for 45 min at 9 pm and i could see all the other kids crying and getting super tired. Poor parents…. Travelling with children is already stressful….We should not have to endure such a pain. Airport in other countries gives family priority… here the normal queue at the egate was empty, family queue 45 min! This is about another flight always from gatwick ( adding here because the system dies not alow me to create another review: Fast track line at security controls was ridiculous, it took me 15 min to get through. I have photo showing maxi queue at the fast track line as they split the belt in half and only 3 positions were fast track available and the rest was normal line. Then the airport lounges are impossible to get in … no1 lounge always has waiting queue ( i travel often) and they never let you in and when it rarely happens the lounge is half empty ( i was able to get in only once in 4 times) Mylounge closes at 8 pm but at 7.30 pm the receptionist does not allow anybody in because they remove food and drinks…i also tried tge clubroom lounge which includes some extra charge but they said they were not taking other guests despite i can see there were empty corners…. You should definitely review your services offering.

6 in the evening. Car park 2 South Terminal was unusually quite full, and it was difficult to find a space. However, inside the Terminal was not so busy, and check-in and everything else went smoothly and quickly.

Easy to navigate with plenty of helpful staff

Used Gatwick north valet parking for the first time will never use any over now. Drive in car park 6 drop of car come back pickup car. No waiting no fuss. Wonderful service

Bad enough, they warn about the boarding gates just a few minutes before the flight leaves, so there are dozens of people watching the screens without knowing where to go.

(SOUTH TERMINAL) So, the security procedure is not of the best i have seen compared to other international airports. Best part is airport has a lot of lounges so if you have loungekey or p pass, it's a good extra to have. Too many shops in a concentrated place. Not an open feeling.

It has been improved. The railway station is more user friendly and North Terminal's shopping area is much better. Getting through security was easy with only a slight wait.

60% of the flights were delayed because of poor staff and i didnt even make it to the connecting flight 👎👎

Tec items Still need to be removed and placed in the trays for security checks. This time I made sure camera lenses were flat and no issue scanning. The body scanners have changed as you now have to place feet on the marks with arms out within the check area. Much prefer the more advanced checking in Italy as no unpacking required and walk through scanners.

Quite simply poor. A UK Domestic flight connecting to International, couldnt see signs for flight connections, just a little surprised that this involved "Arriving" and then "departing" despite bags being through checked. So back to the main security queue! At Heathrow Domestic transfers dont even do security, really shouldnt call it an International hub without effective connections. A transfer route for incoming international transfers to security is a feature of any airport offering connections. Overall the airport was also filthy, and staffed by people who have no passion for their role or their employer, removing shoes at security to then stand in remnants of someone cola bottles on the floor, and to be told by the staff "i am not a cleaner" was a key highlight. Feels old, with a lack of investment and absolutely no focus on customer experience.

By only giving people the details about the gate 45 minutes before departure, you get a pleasant gathering at the shops in front of the gate. The moment the gate is announced, the composition of the group changes. It's also nice that there are shops and restaurants where you can stop.

Plenty of seating, good food and drinks. Not crowded. Lounge wifi is almost non-existent, be prepared to hotspot.

Check in takes forever as does getting through security.

Well signposted. Otherwise there are plenty of employees to help. Quick security check and large shopping area. Unfortunately, the airport is far outside of London and often causes delays, so we will prefer to use Heathrow in the future.

Wasn't very good this time. Lower gate numbers were not shown clearly if you were in a certain part of the airport, whereas the higher numbers were shown everywhere.

North terminal is very cramped and has no decent restaurants.

Non-smoking airport!!! My plane was 2 hours late which I learned after customs, it's impossible to smoke a cigarette, it's unacceptable, a smoking area will not "kill" anyone apart from smokers who go there of their own free will...!

Was with disabled passenger on mobility scooter, lift not working as was under fire control, tried to find help but no one about, disabled passenger had to physically crawl up a 3 tier staircase while I had to try and get scooter up escalator, now both of us is severe pain, first airport person we came across was after about 10 mins at customs control, not a good experience at all, not impressed, but could not fault easyjet or British Airways for the special assistance

Flight delayed and as for British Airways Buisness class Disgraceful, after trying book the Buisness lounge for the last week and couldn’t get through, have been turned away after the customer services was very disrespectful. Would not recommend or fly with again Gatwick airport looks in disrepair looks dated feels antiquated next time may try Luton or Stanstead Airports
