Cafe Prazeres in Portsmouth

I have been a customer and took also potential customer there , which spent quite a lot of money on shopping. I feel the service it’s bad and the cleanliness leave a lot to desire . I have tried to understand as to why , the standards are going down and service is mediocre. Today I have experienced bad service to the point of rudeness. So I will not go back there .

We were hungry, but not starving, so shared the special "grilled chicken, bacon and cheese" in a baguette and a portion of chips and it was delicious. This is a lovely little café with friendly staff and great food and drink at sensible prices. Try it - I'm sure you'll be happy with this great place in Cosham High Street. Thank you Alfredo.

We have been to this cafe twice now and both times it has exceeded our expectations. Very friendly place and staff especially Mike. We ordered a few sandwiches and a coffee. Exceptional sandwiches packed with fillings and brilliant coffees as well. Fantastic place to go for a bit of lunch.

The atmosphere was lovely thanks to the wonderful staff and the food isn’t half bad either! Would definitely recommend popping in for a coffee or tea

This is a great cafe. I found it by accident but I’m glad I did. The manager is great and they sell some great foods and spices. I can’t recommend it highly enough

EN: Pastel de Nata was gorgeous and they had proper Portuguese coffee and soft drinks! The range of products to buy, although small, was enough to give anyone who was Portuguese nostalgia, much like the café itself. Amazing PT: O pastel de nata era delicioso e eles têm café e bebidas Portuguesas! A gama de produtos, embora reduzida, é suficiente para trazer nostalgia a todos os Portugueses, assim como o café em si. Fantástico

This cafe and deli is such a nice place! The coffee is great, cakes and Portuguese dishes have always been tasty. I always come away with something I haven't tried before from the grocery shelves too. It is a joy on Cosham High St - looking forward to being able to sit in again soon.

This place has such a nice selection of food and drinks. I had a coffee the other day and was curious about some portuguese items displayed, so I got a few and so far I liked.

We come here for a coffees.. I come for the Portuguese custard tarts ×4 to take-away... Christine has a cake that looks very appetising in the display cabinet I let her choose one so I can pick a second one .. Psss don't tell her .... Once served up we always say "Far to big we should share one""; That's how nice they are .... Rob n Christine. .

I have been here quite a few times for lunch since it opened. I had the Portuguese cod with French Fries and a nice Portuguese beer (there were three to choose from, all from different arts of the country). The food was a generous portion, cooked fresh and was amazing. Very friendly staff, a great place to eat and drink!

It's been awhile since our last visit but the welcome we received was so warm and genuine today that we'll be returning soon. We had coffee and shared a delicious sandwich which was excellent and very reasonably priced. Tempting though they were, the variety of cakes were resisted today but will be sampled next time we go. Such a lot of atmosphere for a cafe in Cosham and well worth a visit for a taste and flavour of Portugal in general and Madeira in particular. Obrigado!

My husband and I visited here yesterday with our 7 year old son. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. We will definitely be returning. I can recommend the chorizo, cheese and fried egg muffin which was the house special. The beer was good too 😀

A small and simple restaurant but the food is definitely Portuguese and was delicious. They also sell a range of imported produce if you're that way inclined.

I stumbled across this cafe and was pleasantly surprised. Alfredo was very helpful in telling me about his very traditional home cooked Portuguese dishes. He recommended his family recipe salted cod, and it was delightful. Very generous portion of cod and fresh salad with fries. Very impressed with the quality of the food and a great bit of history about the how salted cod has become a portugese national favourite. I will definitely be going back with some friends. Look forward to sampling the peri peri chicken and some lovely Portuguese brandy.
