This cafe should change it name to the first and last . It was first time going and it be the last time we be going .it was that bad . The service was slow the lady taking orders was more entrusted to talk on her phone or smoking .didn't have a morning just a grunt . Took us 15 min to take are order . The best thing was the sun was warm .chips dry and bought in cheap beefburgs. Tomato sauce was cheap pink stuff .

Why stop people coming every day with watered down vinegar and pink ketchup! Prices gone up, quality gone down. With view and a car park it’s like shooting fish in a barrel to get regular dedicated customers.

We got there to have breakfast and it was closed, no sign on the door saying closed or why. No one there, paid for parking as well

Absolutely fantastic breakfast, I've no need to go anywhere else for a great fry up. It was sad when it burnt down, but now it's back, I'm enjoying the fry up even more

Just reopened today, I had the mega breakfast, excellent overall, bacon a bit on the crunchy side, but great value for the money . Definitely worth another visit . 👍

Good value all day breakfast. £6 for the breakfast including a decent mug of tea . Lovely view over the estuary .👍

Had cooked breakfast for 3 and coffee all round. Very tasty, reasonable and good home cooked food. They even provided extra bread and butter at no charge. Good service and a great old fashioned caff. Not many places like this left. Un pretentious flavoursome and good value. Used by locals and fishermen and has char.

The good points are that the food is cheap and you get a semi- decent view when sitting outside, but it ends there. Female worker was abrupt and couldn’t muster up a hello or thank you. If you don’t want to be in a customer facing job, do something else. Maybe she was having a bad day. Jacket potato arrived under cooked

Went here for brunch and was not disappointed. Really good value food and tasty too. We'll definitely be stopping by again!

Always have lunch here when working in Penryn, great fry ups and toasted sandwiches, It's very cheaply priced, is it possible to be to good a value ! Friendly and no frills just like it should be,it's great

This cafe is in a beautiful location next to the bridge and end of the navigable water in Penryn. There are only a few tables and you order at the kitchen bar. My English breakfast was sensational and prepared very quickly. The service is very friendly and the cafe is used by lots of locals who work at sea or around the boat yards. You can order any breakfast combination that you please. It’s great value for money so there may be a short wait for a table sometimes.

Took breakfast here several times and food is hot and plenty of it. Forget you are sat in an old static caravan and just take your choice from the extensive menu. Not perfect but look at the price and location.

Let me just say I eat here now every week, so this is an extra review only because it's worth it . I always have the breakfast, it's always superb, tasty and good value. Great service, fab cuppa and a warm welcome. Every time without exception it's cooked beautifully. Really can't shout loud enough about how good the food is. Please don't do as I did for years just drive past, you're missing a hidden gem. Would I recommend.....YES as I'm a regular now so it's gotta be good.

Go to this Café quite often and are set up for the day with the breakfast. Also lovely view of Penryn river. Caters For veggies to.

Ha pasado por años y siempre diciendo un día que se entrara a un buen desayuno. Ese día llegó finalmente y fue la pena. . Sí 100% SÍ.Absolutamente impresionante y un montón de comida, todo bien cocido, no grasienta o malos simplemente perfecto.No tuve que esperar mucho porque está cocinado. Gran taza de té también, así que es una ventaja.Muy limpio y ordenado, muy impresionante.Si su paso por favor entrar es un gutbuster y muy bien de precio.También tiene una calificación de cinco estrellas. higiene Eso es mejor que un montón de restaurantes de lujo!Volveré. . . Ah diablosuno sí de los mejores desayunos alrededor

Normalmente no frecuentan este tipo de cafe - frituras no son lo mío. Era el único lugar abierto temprano en un mañana entre semana en diciembre. Mi taza de té tomó y losa de tarta fuera y vimos los barcos desapareciendo en la niebla en el Penryn Río. Mi marido tenía un guiso (nos sentamos en el interior de este). Excelente relación calidad-precio, café con fotografías interesantes de peculiar vieja Penryn por todas las paredes y una ubicación fabulosa.

Llamado ayer con mi marido y mi hijo, tanto hambriento como de costumbre :) pedir que se servía bien caliente, en cantidad más que razonable, con una sonrisa y a un costo que pondría a otros establecimientos. Llamamos en tan a menudo como podamos y nunca han sido decepcionados. Siempre periódicos para leer, suele estar lleno de gente local feliz y dispuesto a examinar los acontecimientos recientes. Me encanta este pequeño café y como para el personal, dos preciosas mujeres que siempre tienen tiempo para hacerte sentir bienvenido. Gracias por el día para comenzar un gran x

Pequeña y veía genial para un guiso mientras tienen neumáticos montados en mi coche en un garaje local. Siempre me habían conducido pasado pero nunca encontré el tiempo para entrar, ahora que tengo tiempo.

Pequeño gran café tradicional. Buena comida rápida a un precio muy razonable. Fácil de aparcar en el aparcamiento de quayside por un pequeño cargo adicional. Bueno aseos limpios en el Quayside, al lado de la cafetería. Bonitas vistas por el río, pero no hay mucho más que hacer en las inmediaciones. Buena parada si paso.

If you want a good meal or snack with a view and a cosy atmosphere this is the place. The food is always consistent, served quickly and it won't break the bank. The views are unbeatable and you are always guaranteed a hot drink quickly. me and my husband Love this place. Gert lush

I am a regular customer and ALWAYS buy the Mega Breakfast!It is SO reasonably priced and there is so much on the plate! I am always stuffed after eating here.It is a small, well kept, friendly cafe with views of the marinas and Falmouth river. Super food, people and area!Well worth a visit if you have a rumbling tum, or just fancy coffee and cake!

Unpretentious traditional café down by the harbour.If you're looking for a good value hearty breakfast, this is the place to go.Sat outside in October! We emptied our plates.Will pretty much cook what you like to order, We heartily recommend.Only occasional visitors to Penryn, but we shall be returning.

The "Cafe on the Quay" in Penryn is exactly what is says - a small diner with 6 or 7 tables right next to the waterside in Penryn. It serves basic traditional cafe food to the people who use the quay - fishermen, yachties, van drivers, tourists and boatyard workers. What makes it worth mentioning on tripadvisor is that the quality of the food is excellent. It is cooked to order, quickly, using good quality ingredients (especially the bacon) and is served piping hot. We had nothing more complicated than bacon, double egg, chips and beans but it couldn't have been better cooked. The eggs were perfect and the bacon was the best I've had in a long time. There are various breakfasts and lunches on offer - including vegetarian options - and tea comes in mugs as you would expect. The prices are extremely reasonable. £6 - £7 should fill you up and get you a piece of cake as well.The whole place is very clean and tidy with old photos of Penryn, boats, and fishing festooning the walls and the ladies who run it are friendly and helpful.The rating has to be taken in context. It is a workers cafe and as such it is very good. Don't go expecting more than it can offer.
