Cafe Nero in South Oxfordshire

They are taking names, numbers, email and DOB. All under the pretext of a phony virus. I have been to other places which said track and trace was voluntary.

Such a nice first visit here since Lockdown began. Lovely young man served us. My husband had problems using the app. He is not very tech savvy! Barista could not have been more helpful. Brought us 2 pain au raisin fresh from the oven to enjoy with our coffee ! 😋☕️😋☕️ He seemed to be running the place on his own! He is a credit to your company. Lovely atmosphere. We will be back.

Ordered tea- no saucer so had to leave tea bag on table. We paid cash no receipt was offered or given!! Changed the staff and not for the better- there are 17 coffee shops in Henley go somewhere else.

The hot chocolate and toasted sandwiches are very good value for money. This cafe Nero is always very busy and it has clean tables. Sometimes only seats in the back room are available. This cafe Nero has many repeat customers.

Visited for coffee. Had decaf which was extremely tasty. However, whole venue really needs a refit as its looking very tired.

Don’t allow why we bothered to set foot in this place again - coffee shops and cafes have moved on a pace - the quality served in good coffee shops can be fantastic but this place delivers only what it created 10years ago. The coffee is very average and uninspiring. The format again is old and needs a series retuning to become a place where people want to rather than have to because there’s not much choice in the town. It’s a choice between expensive and average/poor food drink verses rip off prices and if your lucky you may get something exceptional.

We came to Nero with my friend from abroad. She had Mocca type of coffee and I stuck with caramel latte, we were offered cakes and staff was very polite, offered amazing service and carried our drinks on the table as I cannot at the present moment.

I always used to enjoy the quiet back garden, which I still consider to be a gem of a retreat from the busy town centre. And although the decking area always looked like it needed a good sweep up, one can generally get a table outside and be left alone in peace and quiet.

The coffee, thankfully, was up to its usual standard. Seating was easily found - it was Sunday morning, all the other coffee shops in Henley seemed to be full. The furniture is old and tired, whether that is intended to add to its ambiance, who knows. Nice little courtyard at the rear, trapping sunshine.

To be honest, I am not only disgusted with the state of the place, but I am disgusted with the way we were all spoken to today. Me and a group of my friends who attend The Henley College decided to go into Caffe Nero to get some drinks. We were very considerate of others in the Cafe, we were quiet, respectful, we weren't making a mess and we were minding our own business and talking quietly among ourselves. We were sat in the section next to their staff room and their garden space. Every single time a member of staff came into the section that we were in to go into the staff room, they would stare at us with a really intimidating look on their face and make us feel very uncomfortable. We were there for about an hour and when we were about to leave, a staff member approached us and told us that when people come in here it's for a "quiet and peaceful" experience. She also then told us that next time we're in there we would all have to buy drinks (baring in mind that four out of five of us bought drinks at some point during the stay from the cafe itself) otherwise we would have to leave. They way we were approached by this particular staff member was in such a rude manner, it made us feel uncomfortable, unwelcome and completely disgusted. We are students, yes, but that doesn't mean that we should be treated any different to anyone else that goes in there and quite frankly, I will never go back. I am appalled.

Today we spent just over an hour in this establishment. 2 out of the 5 of us bought drinks. Shortly before our departure we where confronted by a member of staff who told us that we where only being aloud to sit there because they where not busy and if we wanted to visit again all of us would have to buy drinks. We caused no trouble and feel we where looked down on due to being students, despite contributing towards their custom. We will not be returning, and will be sharing our experience with other students.

This place really does get tattier every time I go in. Floor and furniture well past end of life and should be on the bonfire. Food debris left on the chairs and tables sticky even after being wiped. Can’t imagine it would pass a serious hygiene inspection.

Cafe Nero has been my go to coffee stop for years. The coffee is always tasty and well prepared. Prices are reasonable. They also have very good pastries and sandwiches.

When you visit Cafe Nero you only think to comment if something negative happens because all Cafe Neros are similar in most respects. However I enjoyed the pinini and coffee and staff were ok but a bit rushed at the time.

The second I walked through the door the barista took my order swiftly and even asked if I wanted a pump of flavored syrup in my coffee… Be still my beating heart..! Before I received my drink, I was asked if I would like anything to eat, and with an impressive assortment of cakes and biscuits I was sorely tempted but sadly had to declined as I'm currently on a diet after eating to many glazed chicken balls from the full house, long story. Over all, very pleasant experience and will return.

Normally I am a Costa lover, but went for a change today. I was pleasantly surprised. Clean, efficient, friendly and great coffee and sandwiches. Thank you.

I've agonised over this review for some time...why?...because something seemingly as straightforward as where to have your daily cup of coffee, becomes far more complex, when you really start to dig down into the motivations for selecting a place like Cafe Nero, over the plethora of other options, even in a relatively small town like Henley On Thames.

Visited here for a morning coffee. Service is great; efficient staff and a friendly face. Busy and bustling with plenty of seats. Sofas and newspapers in the front window to enjoy your coffee. Definitely would return again.

If you are looking for a place to have a quiet coffee then this isn't the place for you. Cafe Nero has a buzzing excitement about the place, the main manager is amazing she can take several orders at once, plus sorts out the general running of the show. Even during busy periods she always has a smile and appreciates a kind word back. You do get the occasional person in there who like to grab a table before they get their drinks, I saw last Saturday a very rude lady grab a table that an elderly gentleman was wobbling towards.I did watch him and he managed to find another place otherwise I might have been tempted to say something. She then proceeded to order her poor husband about. So the staff are lovely the people who go there can sometimes have a bun fight. Please if you read this show some consideration to others especially the more elderly folk in our lovely community.

Mientras visitaba Henley-on-Thames nos alojamos en el Carlota Rueda (ver revisión independiente) pero no incluyen el desayuno. A menudo tienen café y dolor-au-Rasin en otros establecimientos Café nero y este era igual de bueno. Buen servicio, acogedor y limpio. Nos sentamos en su pequeño patio en el sol, era adorable. La única cosa que necesita atención es el respiradero que constantemente sopla directamente en su rostro, tan sólo necesita una nueva parrilla hasta el punto hacia arriba, pero por lo demás, precioso.

We were served by a happy/smiley member of staff which immediately makes you feel welcome. As it was a hot day I asked for suggestions for a cold drink using soya milk and she recommended the most wonderful milkshake on which I'm now hooked! Got nice cosy seats in the window and watched the world go by.

Mi marido viene aquí muy a menudo el personal ni siquiera pedirle su orden - ya saben! Gente muy agradable que orgullosos de su trabajo. El café es bueno, el lugar siempre está limpio y hay un pequeño jardín en la parte trasera.

La mayoría de las ciudades tienen Nero. Roma tenía uno que tonto meneando mientras alguien overdid tostación de granos de café. Sorry mala broma. Me gusta Cafe Nero. Me gusta el café y me encantan los aperitivos. Me gusta esta rama por su ubicación y su comodidad y el hecho de que es lo suficientemente grande como para normalmente conseguir una mesa o asiento fácilmente. El personal bien formado y muy amable.

Como antes, cuando nos última visita este lugar el café y las magdalenas eran muy buenos. El servicio también es muy rápido a diferencia de la Costa cercana. Pero también como antes de que el lugar todavía no le vendría mal, podría ser un aspecto elegante, pero mal estado como un crítico en estas páginas ha dicho antes sólo alcanzar el aspecto desvencijado. Todavía están los baños limpios, me parece recordar la última vez no lo estaban.

Yo vengo aquí más días, así que gastar un montón de dinero aquí, y elegir porque siempre conseguir un nivel uniforme de servicio y saber qué esperar.

We greatly enjoyed hot chocolates and coffees here when in Henley-on-Thames in October. We found it to be very clean, well-maintained and well-furnished. Good staff and good service. Would definitely return.

Como con frecuencia me gustaría empezar con los aspectos positivos: personal agradable y atento y agradable casa tradicional de café pero la limpieza del lugar ha empeorado en los últimos meses y ni siquiera contemplar comer nada de lo que está en oferta. Ahora es muy común para encontrar el lugar realmente sucio sobre una base regular (incluyendo la zona terriblemente sucia aspecto de almacenamiento) y dudo que lo pase suave incluso una inspección de salud. Una auténtica lástima, ya que solía ser un lugar agradable para sentarse.

Fuimos a conocer a un amigo para un café esta mañana a las 11 de la mañana y me gritó en el hombre detrás del mostrador. Así que tan grosero! Su compañero femenino explicó fue tener un mal día!! Nero - Café sin duda hay suficientes personas buscando trabajo que puede emplear a personas con buenas habilidades de servicio al cliente! horrible experiencia y recomiendo encarecidamente ir a Hot cotilleos o Costa.

Visitamos 28/10/2015. temprano por la tarde, dos jóvenes (niños) detrás del mostrador hablando y ignorando por qué estaban ahí. Francamente, el lugar era un tirar. montones de basura en cada mesa.

Visitamos lo anterior con la esperanza de un ambiente relajado en un ambiente acogedor. Cafe Nero no estaba muy lleno, la mayoría tenía mesas vajilla sucia en ellos, partes de la planta estaban sucias con migas, etc. en el suelo. El hombre y la mujer detrás del mostrador era desinteresado y charlando entre ellos. Mi amigo ordenados nuestras bebidas y me hicieron sentir que ella era imponente por el joven, ella me preguntó si podía ver el gerente, dijo que era él. Me dieron una respuesta un poco mejor cuando pedí otra bebida. Sin duda no se lo recomendaría a cualquiera.

Solemos ir aquí entre las visitas a Costa y caliente. Teníamos dos cafés tanto agradable, un croissant y un chocolate magdalena. Las dos eran también muy agradable y fresca, bueno para un domingo. Nos gusta este lugar y nos sentamos en la ventana, que es un buen lugar para estar. Los asientos son un poco cansado y la planta podría hacer una buena limpieza y polaco. El resto del lugar está bien, pero las sillas son más fuertes comparado con sillas suaves, que es lo que estábamos sentados en

Lo mismo todos los días. más sobre asada Burnt degustación extraído café. Relativamente costosos (pero no lo son todas?) aperitivos. Esta sucursal está vieja y gastada por dentro con un volumen relativamente elevado de personal. La otra gran cadena hotelera cafeterías en la ciudad son iguales, luchando para diferenciarse y no puede ofrecer nada como un par de los independientes en la ciudad, ya sea en la calidad de las bebidas de café o aperitivos.
