Cafe Nero in Milton Keynes

So disappointed I’ve always liked Neros but the one in Milton Keynes on Kingston is disgusting. The whole place is dirty and unkempt. I’m amazed the hygiene people haven’t investigated it would most certainly fail. God knows when the coffee making area has last been thoroughly cleaned as well as the toasters. Tables were sticky the entrance mat was dirty and lastly and most disgusting was the shared toilet added to which there was no toilet roll!! The young girl serving was doing her best but the other person there constantly left her on own whilst we were there. Neros get your act together if you want to survive!! I will never visit Neros again

café Nero Leighton Buzzard: AVOID BEFORE 08.30! Only ever 1 person serving before then, a queue of 10 people this morning, Deliveroo orders being done before in-café people,took 15 minutes to get served. Need at least 2 servers from opening time.

Never had a bad experience here. I am always served with a smile. This evening I was served by 2 lovely young people just before they closed up, had a good chuckle with them whilst waiting for my drink after a long day at work. Little experiences like this might not seem much, but they really do go a long way to putting a smile on peoples face. Great staff really do make a place, would definitely not want to ever to lose them.

I visit most morning before I start work and I’m served by Dee. She’s always friendly even when she’s on her own with a big queue. My coffee are always perfect when she’s made them. Amazing service!!

Entered the store to collect prepaid cake order at appointed time. Told store was closed in a dismissive voice. Manager Nathan said could not fulfill the order no apology or offer to help rectify their error. When pressed became very defensive bordering on aggressive. Very bad experience no cakes for Saturday evening 😩

This review refers to the Caffè Nero in Kingston Milton Keynes ONLY. I have been to this place many times, but feel compelled to write a review now. The place is perennially understaffed, has trainees that get orders wrong and who can’t make a simple coffee correctly, is constantly dirty and has sticky tables with food debris on, and has horrendous toilets that just don’t get cleaned regularly as far as I can see. The queues are often way too long which means a rushed drink instead of more time to enjoy it in the time available. Screaming young children go undisciplined and to be honest the staff often appear dishevelled and a bit untidy. Too many times, there are signs up saying there is a shortage of staff and/or signs up saying that only paper cups are being served. Four customers sitting in, this is unacceptable, but I understand why the signs are there because there is not enough staff to clean and wash! Some years ago this was not the case, it was my favourite place to get a coffee & cake. No more. Management- take hold of this place and sort it out!! Until I see things changing, I’ll take my money and time elsewhere.

Walked into the cafe Nero at mk city centre. Furniture is an absolute mess. The armchairs have stains on them and some are even ripped with the inner sponge lining exposed. This is a hazard for young children who may pick at it & eat it. Service is shocking. Que barely moves and the staff don’t care. Costa & Pret are miles better.

I’m a cafe Nero fan and decided to stop at the MK site for a coffee. I stood in the queue and as I was waiting started to realise things were not right. Every table had stacks of cups that hadn’t been cleared away. This was about 4pm on a Wednesday. And they were telling people I’m the queue they were only serving take away cups⁉️ It generally left me feeling - this isn’t the place to stop for that precious coffee moment. Come on guys you are letting the side down!

Coffee latte tasted nice however the place is not cleaned (behind the counter). The coffee machine is wiped with a very dirty cloth. One of the door (side door) doesn’t close so you cannot sit in this area.

Went into the Centre MK cafe Nero yesterday, tables were all a mess, the queue was not moving. The two blokes who worked in there had clearly given up - one was rolling a cigarette and chatting to the other who was doing nothing ignoring the queue leaving the poor girl who seemed like she was new to do the serving and making of the coffees. I waited about 15 mins in queue before walking out empty handed to head to Costa, shouldn’t have bothered going in - won’t make the mistake in the future.

Please clean your tables... Custoners waiting to sit and your staff are totally devoid of sanitising the tables. Covid hasn't gone away, Nothing seems to have changed at the MK Nero.

Visited the store once where only 2 customers , was extremely slow . I have tried ordering from Uber eats 4 times . Each time order is cancelled, stating it is too busy .

Staff extremely slow at serving, seemingly oblivious and unconcerned with queue stretching out of the door. Poor service.

I have to say Sofie is amazing extremely pleasant person great service attention to detail spot on and her porridge exceptionally delicious. Manager potential

Met with friends for the first time since before lockdown last year. Great to see them but we won’t be meeting there again. Filthy tables ( saw a dog lick a table - staff walked past and clocked this but said nothing and did not clean it!!) , tables strewn with cups and plates. The toilet…disgusting. Sort it or shut it down

we entered the shop,there was one lady serving some tables were dirty and nobody else was working in the shop so no cleaning was being done so we just left the shop.

I was here for a business meeting, so socially sat outside and distanced around a small table. The couple of Café Nero Baristas behind the Perspex screen may have frothed and dripped a bit more enthusiastically, but it would have been really difficult to have detected this in the coffee and included that in a review (which some folk seem to have done before and stated; as attitude) All in all, these guys did a great job, so let’s cut them a little slack and wake up and smell the Covid 19……….. coffee

I’ve been twice, hot chocolate isn’t goo, iced coffee not good as well , I don’t know about other but I’m not happy with it

Great place to have a drink or lite bite, sometimes a queue but friendly staff make it a pleasant wait

I normally pop into Cafe Nero before doing the obligatory shopping on a Saturday I have to say this place always has a good atmosphere and the staff are always friendly would recommend it to anyone

Ok ish. It has gone down hill some of the staff are dump ass rude and need a kick. So that let's them down

I wanted a iced coffee but they do not make it with cream so ordinary with cream was what I settled for. Still a good cuppa

We come here often and we have a great day date. In fact I look forward to it when we come but today they have run out of cream ... being on a keto diet and way of life cream is vital to have and they do not have it. It's 12.30 and they have run out how can that be when all around me are posters of creamy frappe and other coffee drinks ... today is not my day. They don't have it.

Our favourite in the Kingston retail Area.. never complained other than on the sometimes very slow service as only two employees in the busy morning and one of them doing paperwork. I give toilets 1/5 star Coffee 4/5 Staff 3/5 Cleaning up is slow. Easy to park and walk to it Wish they do add staff Thank you

3 times we have been here the atmosphere is always relaxing and chilled. The staff are always helpful and friendly. My new place for coffee now!

Good location and outside seating when weather permits. Friendly staff and good range of snacks etc.

It was lovely to be able to sit outside in the sun and enjoy coffee and cake with friends. The Frappe and lemon cake were delicious. The only thing I would ask is that they vary the height of the seats as I was on crutches recovering from a hip operation and found it difficult to get up from the rather low chair. Apart from that I enjoyed my experience.

Had a little time to kill before meeting She Who Must be Obeyed so went in for a coffee.Yes part of a chain and in their mould but staff were polite and efficient, the coffee was a stronger taste than most other chains, and the ambience was restful and peaceful.Will I go again yes from choice

We're not from this area but stopped here on out way home. There was a very long que but it moved quickly and the team were efficient, we were served by a lovely woman with purple hair, I didn't get her name! Our drinks were really good too

Terrible service. They were not bothered to listen, and had an air of superiority. Went to Costa instead, who made our coffees to our liking.

Great Coffee, I always look for a Nero coffee shop over the others but not anymore in Kingston, Rude!!! how difficult can it be to be Polite?????

Got some o2 vouchers and we set off to Kingston retails park what a great way to have a hot chocolate full whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top the seating area is so comfy and it is a real pleasure to sit and wind down to a wonderful cup of hot chocolate

Puede que no sea una cafetería tradicional (la casa mezcla estándar no es tan bueno) pero cafe nero en el centro de Kingston hace le dan un ambiente de cafetería. Hay cómodos asientos y suelos de madera. Así que es un muy buen lugar para sentarse y descansar después de una mañana de compras.

Fuimos allí, ya que era el cumpleaños de mi amigo y fue un día magnífico caliente, así que podíamos sentarnos afuera.

Location is good; staff are friendly and well trained; food is fresh with varied choice and importantly the coffee is first class. Only negative is that the toilets are not checked and are not clean; puts you off your coffee!

Typical cookie cutter coffee shop. Decent surroundings and quite comfortable.Avoid the flat white as it's: too hot, too watery, too bitter and looks nothing like the picture. Also, cup smaller than Costa.Apart from that, and soggy pastry, it was okay.

I visited the CMK branch and was disappointed with the service. I have O2 Priority so on a Tuesday from midday I get a free coffee. I'm sure it is most annoying for the staff but isn't the idea to make you want to change your coffee drinking habits and buy a regular cup from Cafe Nero ( Clever Marketing ) Well if you are not nice to your customers this is not going to happen. I am a mature lady and for the first time I was accused of pushing in I didn't and it wasn't even busy then I was scowled at for having a free coffee code.Blimey if you don't want to be a coffee maker go and get another job and stop being a misery guts

Visited with my teenage daughter for some lunchtime refreshments.The selection was really good with half of the choices being suitable for vegetarians.I chose the mushroom risotto and my daughter had mozzarella and tomato panni.We took them to the counter along with two cokes. The staff were ok. They debated between themselves as to whether or not to offer me a glass and after they decided not to offer me one, i decided to ask them for one!On a mega plus note the food was fantastic. The panni was flavoursome and my mushroom risotto was gorgeous and a very generous portion.I would recommend it to everyone.

Yes it's busy and often noises but the crew at cafe Nero know how to serve a great cup of coffee and keep the standards high

Visited for a coffee and chocolate and some pastries. Tuesday morning so not too busy but the staff were friendly, the place was clean and fairly quiet. Almond croissant and apricot croissant both delicious . Normally a Costa person but now prefer Cafe Nero when in Milton Keynes

Dropped in for a coffee, I think I'm converting over from a Costa fan, The Coffee is good, the food selection better.

Took my (older) niece here with my two children for a catch up before Christmas.The guy that served us was really nice & friendly.I had a tea & cake, it was really nice & rather filling!Carole : )

Our grandchild is only a month old and we took him and his mum into the cafe for a coffee. The drinks and snacks were good. My daughter was able to feed him without any fuss and it was a relaxing break. Good facilities for mother and baby.

I found this a less than enjoyable visit based on other coffee shop houses. The staff were not the most pleasant and I will not return in the future

Visited for the 1st time a few days ago. Ordered a couple of coffees and 2 bacon and Brie panini's. The coffees were actually quite nice, but the panini's were awful, there was some chutney or similar product included which really spoilt the taste

Nice smooth copy and I love the Caramelatte. Though in the Kingston Shopping area the cafe has a nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Though a chain, they manage to make the place feel more than that.

Best coffee in city centre, if you do not like it strong, ask for one shot, great customer service and served very quickly even with a big queue

We enjoyed our Sunday coffee & hot chocolate at Cafe Nero. First time we have been there. Nice decor. Great drinks. Nice staff. Normally go to Costa but will go here again.

Just came in for a coffee and a sit down whilst taking my grandson out in shopping centre. I had a lattee - stronger than other coffee outlets. Lady made grandson babycinno for free which was frothy milk and chocolate sprinkles. Lady member of staff kept referring to him as a her - but he does need a haircut! We shared a sticky toffee bun - messy but tasty.

I don't usually go to Nero because I prefer another café chain. However I don't mind Nero because of its distinctive Italian interior and decent coffee. This time I wasn't disappointed as my Latte was really fragrant and served quickly. However the way one of the personnel was cleaning floors and tables was not a pleasant view: very messy and rather intrusive. It was one step from asking customers to move so that she could wipe the floor.Apart from that - usually pleasant vibe.

I will not be going back to Costa! I have been frequenting Cafe Nero, not only this branch, for about a year now and the coffee, especially the Latte is just so yummy. By that I mean strong. I met someone in Costa a while back and couldn't believe how weak their Latte tasted in comparison. This is a great addition to Kingston. Neat, laid back atmosphere. The speed of service at the till does sometimes leave a little to be desired - but not terrible.

Although Costa just gets the edge on my favourite coffee shops, cafe Nero comes a close second. Love the chocolate twist pastry! And the soups are good too. Staff friendly and tables cleared away and looked after well.

Recently discovered Nero, I used to always use Costa but I am converted, much better choice of pastries, I have dreams about the apricot croissants I love them, staff cheerful, lots of room inside, I enjoy taking my little one to meet Daddy at breaktime once a week here now, my new found favorite, nicest coffee and loyalty cards too.

I took someone here from work as a change of scenery. We both went for the Americanas. Although we had a lot of work to do and not there for savouring the atmosphere or coffee, we both noted that the coffee in this place is absolutely great. I will definitely be adding stamps to my loyalty card in Cafe Nero again very soon! Service was fine. I don't care if they don't smile so long as they do their job and their product is good. Which it certainly is.
