Possibly the friendliest staff of any coffee shop we have frequented in a long time. Great coffee too… popped in for coffee and both commented on the lovely staff

this place is so dirty you need to wipe your feet on the way out! absolutely filthy. the tables, the chairs, everything, its just disgusting. Shame really as the staff were pleasant and friendly

The coffee and staff are great but this place is REALLY let down by how dirty it is - the public spaces as well as customer toilets. No improvement whatsoever since last visit. Sort it out!

Really good coffee and friendly staff but the ground floor loo was so dirty. It was worse than many a public toilet and had lots of dust as well as dirt. Cafe itself also dusty. Should be shut for a deep clean to be honest.

We decided to come here for breakfast as the Hotel we were staying at charged £16.00 for breakfast, which we thought quite expensive over three days !

One of the scruffiest coffee shops I have ever been in! Slow service. Tables crowded together. The place is tired and does not feel clean, tray was dirty. Glad to get out, do not bother with your Meerkat discount, go somewhere decent.

On a rainy day such as this, you want nothing more than a warm and comforting sanctuary! And I have found just the place. Huge thanks to Rachel who was charming, friendly, and can make a delicious drink to top it off. I can finally play sudoku in peace :D Dankeschon!!

Coffee was excellent and very, very nearly as good as Coffee No1 down the road (sorry Caitlin, who pointed out the home advantage of Nero's Robusta and Arabic blend). Lemon muffin was fab as well. Service was excellent: rapid and friendly - thank you to Rachel who was gracious and attentive. Guess the atmosphere might have been brighter, via light and music, but was clean and spacious, and with very good choices of add-ons. Will go again for sure.

Will unfortunately never go there again, the place is really dirty, you can see the coffee cups marks on tables, really unclean windows and cobwebs around. These things are easy to put right if there would be willing!

Wow, as a person who has a serious dairy allergy Cafe Nero has a great selection of dairy free and vegan food. I had the vegan raspberry croissant, a vegan toasted fruit tea cake and a hot coconut alternative milk drink. I can honestly at there is very little difference in taste to non vegan food. Naturally you pay an extra cost for it being vegan food, which I cannot understand why, but, this is how you are treated as a person who requires a alternative menu. Disgraceful really, but it’s what you come to expect. The coffee shop has level access, making it easy for wheelchair users. There is room for you to negotiate between the tables and chairs, which is a novelty in itself. The toilet is a unisex toilet, but has sufficient room to manoeuvre an electric wheelchair once in with the door closed. Staff are sensitive to your needs and offer help should you need it. In all I’ve given it 5*’S purely on the grounds of the choice of food provided for alternative diets. In comparison to one of its rivals Costa, which gives you false hope that they accommodate vegan diets, they don’t. That is unless you are in a huge city e.g. London, Manchester or Birmingham your choices for a vegan diet are bananas or crisps!!! I would definitely recommend Cafe Nero as a good place for people who need an alternative menu to choose from.

Fabulous coffee and the salted caramel cheesecake was to die for. First time we’ve visited but will definitely go again soon. Friendly staff, efficient and a lovely atmosphere to boot.

Manager and staff I have met have always been polite and helpful, more authentic Italian coffee experience than other chains and ten times better than Costa.

Called in Nero today after not being in hereford for a while store looks really well and clean staff very friendly and welcoming to us as always good quality coffee and service and a clean well lit store won't hesitate to use again

Just popped I for a quick takeaway (with my own cup!) hence I get two stamps on the loyalty card! It all helps! Staff acknowledged me as soon as I walked in and was apologetic at the wait in the que coffee was good and staff friendly and smiling all’s well!

Great service, friendly staff. The petite lady serving Sunday 11/2 was supposed to be in training. You'd think she'd worked here for years. Love it.

I remember coming here when it first opened and loving it but was pretty disappointed coming back now. Needs a good refurb and our drinks (flat white and hot chocolate) left a lot to be desired. Wont be returning.

In my opinion this caffe is not worth visiting. Stood outside caffe waiting for it to open and was greeted with inhospitality from the member of staff who was assisting a white van man unload the supplies for the caffe. In my opinion the unloading of supplies should have been undertaken well before five minutes before opening time and it would have been certainly courteous to have greeted us with some respect and welcoming words

I have heard hugely positive reviews of this place so thought I'd give it a try as Starbucks has closed down and I'm seeking somewhere for my regular fix. The coffee was so bitter I couldn't drink it, the decor is drab and the staff talk amongst themselves whilst i was left standing at the counter awkwardly during their rather negative conversation about their manager. Not what I was expecting when I've heard such high praise of the staff and coffee quality. Given 3 stars over 2 as staff can't control how coffee tastes.

We visit this Nero on a regular basis and the place is starting to feel a little outdated and tired, saying that the staff have told us that the whole place is getting a revamp very soon. Staff very friendly and the food very good.

No creo que este lugar ha sido decorada desde que abrió unos años atrás. . . Que muestra y el lugar parece y se siente cansado al punto de rozar mugrienta. No es bueno para un lugar donde te cobran precios premium para el café y aperitivos. Superficialmente limpio. Los inodoros adecuados.

When we come to Hertford for breakfast this is where we go! Went this morning and had a latte and a all day breakfast panini! Staff very polite who served us and both items were delicious! Not busy on a Sunday morning so plenty of seats! Highly recommend and we will be back

Great tasty coffee. I like this cafe Nero as the staff know what they are doing and are friendly. The ambiance is a little tires and could do with a spruce up. It can be a little noisy

I popped into Caffe Nero for a quick coffee whilst my husband was having a medical checkup. As I put my coffee on the table my bag fell off my shoulder and I spilt coffee everywhere. The lovely staff were very sympathetic and cleared up the mess, and then without asking, got me a fresh cup. Thank you soooo much, sorry for the mess.

I love Neros coffee, it's so good. The store is always clean. Well layed out. They encourage business customers. They show you where the plugs for your laptop are without being asked which is a nice touch. I mentioned my wife and I have a son. The manager always remembers me even after months between visits, which is impressive. Such friendly service.

We regularly go to Cafe Nero in Hereford when we are in town shopping or just before we head off for home. The coffee is the best ever and some of the cakes are yummy especially the cappuccino cake!! It's best if you can grab one of the few armchairs or sofas and just relax and recline but hey-ho you can't have everything! The staff are always friendly/pleasant and they are quick to clear tables of previous occupants trays. As long as the coffee stays as good we will keep going back

Me gustó el café expreso que suelo tomar muchas veces al día. La ciudad es pequeña y el bar muy céntrico queda cerca del hotel en que estuvimos y de las tiendas donde hacíamos las compras. Muy recomendable para quien le guste el buen café.

We use Cafe Nero almost every Friday and other days sometimes, because we love the coffee. There are slight problems however: in summer the air conditioning can be drafts and over- chilly, and pushchairs can very easily block the aisles between the crowded tables. But we still go, because we rate this the best coffee in Hereford.

I love my coffee and although I use other well known chains when on the motorway given the choice it has to be Nero's.There have been times when I've been in to the Hereford Nero's twice a day and at others I may only go in once a year but whenever I do the coffee is almost always excellent.And surprisingly for a national chain the manager at Nero's Hereford has been there for years , probably since 2008 ?Although it is a national chain you don't feel that the food and coffee are as mas produced as Starbucks and Costa.Cafe Nero every time.

Free wifi, power sockets, comfy seats, good coffee. We drink / work from here regularly and the convenience for the business traveller coupled with the good coffee make it a good combination. Be sure to specify whether you would like your coffee slightly weaker as Nero always supply 2 shots of espresso in their coffees. A flat white is usually a good alternative or just ask for 1 shot.

I had trouble finding Starbucks so came here instead - absolutely no complaints about service or quality. The place seemed clean and was certainly comfortable, not my favourite coffee brand but we spent a very pleasant time here so would come again.

Both my husband and I visit Nero in Hereford, at least twice a week. My husband who is disabled (on a bad day in a wheelchair) finds the access easy and getting a free table no problem. The staff even remember my drink and are very pleasant. Great place to relax a while, read the paper and enjoy a free drink with their loyalty scheme.

Always go here if I need a coffee as the staff are always quick to do your order and always with a smile. The drinks are great and the cakes are luscious

I am always impressed when I visit Neros Hereford. They always remember who I am and the drink that i have. I dont like the food here, predictable and plain.They have wifi which is good and several tables to plug your laptop in. Its an ideal place to come and hide and work.

called in the coffee shop after been told that it was a decent cup of coffee served there staff were polite friendly and attentive table had cups on but they were removed quickly when brought to staffs attention all in all a good experience would go in again without doubt coffee well made

Visit here most weekends and grab a coffee whilst sitting out watching the world go by. It is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. What more can I say??

Does what it says on the tin! Standard fare - coffee, cakes, chocolate etc. A bit pricey and quality and service can be variable depending on staff. Hot chocolate was lukewarm not hot although tasted nice.Seating area is comfortable enough but not always as clean as it should be. There are better places in Hereford to have a coffee with friends.

Went for a quick coffee and pannini, the lady who served us was great buy the guy that was with her decided to be on his mobile instead of helping. The place was dirty plates where dirty to. It was the end of the eve but still. I will not be returning.

Popped in for a coffee which was pretty good. Fairly busy but not too crowded and didn't smell too strongly of coffee which can sometimes be offputting.

Slow staff that forget to bring your panini to the table so you have to collect it yourself, cremated. Coffee Ok but grubby tables toilets and floors really let it down. It is fun though to watch Herefords glitterati at The Bowling Green. They are a great attraction for tourists.

So what, it's not in the best part of Hereford, you're not living in the place, just having a coffee. As far as coffee shops go, Cafe Nero are consistently the best. Not just in Hereford, but anywhere. Bring your lap top (they are WI-FI), or read one of the complimentary newspapers, or just sit, smell and people watch. It's truly my place for an escape, and who cares what's outside the windows!

The seats at the back are under a massive window that makes you part of a human aquarium for the prying eyes of the nosy shoppers spilling out of Tesco. Plus opposite in the Bowling Green beer garden where all of Hereford's drunken dross lounge about. Poor location really.
