Just had a takeaway from Mash. Fabulous food, friendly service, worth travelling from East Leake for. Best curry I’ve had in ages. I really enjoyed this, hence this review.

Outstanding meal! Cafe Mash has an exciting menu with lots of choices. Our dinner was delicious all made from fresh ingredients . We chose poppadom and the pickle tray to start. There was a choice of six different pickles, these are made fresh every day. The choice included a lovely fresh coriander, mint and chilli dip, this was so fresh and had a lovely zing with the addition of some lime. The tamarind pickle was rich and delicious. This was a pickle tray like no other I had seen before. We both chose meals we hadn’t tried before, I had a rich lamb dish with roasted garlic and brown onions and my partner had chicken with mint, coriander and chilli, this was spicy and fresh. Both dishes were outstanding. We had garlic rice as a side which was light, fluffy and had little gems of toasted garlic to enhance the flavour. This place is slightly out of the way, it’s spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. The food is outstanding and well worth travelling for, but the icing on the cake is the passionate team, who are very knowledgable are focused on ensuring you have an outstanding experience. We will be back.

We discovered this Indian and us now our go to take away. Food is always delivered on time, hot and the food tastes so fresh and vibrant every time. Never a bad meal.

Took our two children (2 and 5)out for dinner here tonight and had a lovely meal. The staff were great with the children and the food was wonderful. Abu was a great host. Thank you.

This is actually my 3rd review. About a decade ago I wrote a very good review. However, about 2 years ago I wrote a negative review after a bad experience. I have to say they have gone back to their old outstanding ways. The food was delicious and without fault. Best curry I have had in a very long time. Definitely our designated Indian again. I’m so happy they are back to being Amazing!

Have ordered several takeaways since discovering Cafe Mash a few weeks ago. Very tasty food, all beautifully spiced. Decent sized portions too. Excellent delivery service ....what more can you want.

We had a family get together and many of us had never eaten there before but was recommended by family member who was a regular there. We were really impressed with the food. Generous amounts and good quality and tasty too. The waiters were very friendly and welcoming, so we had a lovely evening! Would highly recommend.

Fantastic food ! We came for a take away ordered in the bar area. The guys were super helpful and gave us great recommendations of what we may enjoy and everything we had was absolutely delicious!

We ate here this evening with family, the food was delicious, fresh & flavoursome! My husband had the lamb tikka which was lovely and I had the tadka fish, which was superb 👌 The staff and service were brilliant, they take great care of you! Especially Abu who was very attentive to our needs this evening, even our 4yr old came home with a massive smile with lots of chocolate treats from Abu! Thank you for the delicious food it was definitely a treat! Highly recommend a visit! 👍

I highly recommend Cafe Mash. The food is always fantastic (my go-to is either a chicken tikka masala or a chicken jalfrezi). The staff are brilliant and the restaurant is located in a really unique setting so well worth a visit. It’s become a Christmas Eve tradition for the family to have a Cafe Mash takeaway and this year was as great as ever!

Another lovely meal last night for our Wedding Anniversary. Absolutely fantastic food and service every time we go. Food is cooked fresh and always tastes delicious, none of this re-heated stuff you get in some restaurants. Great menu with so many choices and great speciality dishes - tried most of them now. We had our family members join us in this lovely establishment and the food & service was amazing as my younger children have already said they want to return since the staff were so friendly and made us feel very comfortable in their establishment. Will definitely highly recommend to all.

Best Ruby Murray I’ve had in a fair old while, gave us some extra pompadours so they did, and a couple of sauces gratis, top chaps the lot of them.

This is as close to authentic Indian cooking as you can get without flying to India. So it can be very hot, but boy is it good. Ignore the wallpaper curling up, and the less than new decor and concentrate on the food. Unless you like a boring Korma (which is fine) you won't be disappointed.

Used to love it here but now it’s looking dirty and tired. Staff aren’t as friendly as they used to be, food was ok but nothing to get you arranging a return visit.

Would 100% recommend this restaurant. Me and partner went for dinner there. The waiters were so nice and polite, went out their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Food was delicious and fresh.

The food is OK, and plenty of it, but it's mainly sauce, and there were not many vegetables in the vegetable Chana masala that I had. The peshwari naan bread was very good. They did offer us a free liqueur at the end, which was nice. Overall though I thought it was a bit expensive for what it was.

We ordered a takeaway which we were looking forward to. I ordered Jinga Malai, described as three giant prawns in a mild sauce. The sauce was acceptable. However, when I began to cut into my third prawn, It was soft, stringy and decidedly suspicious. I was forced to discard the rest of the dish. Disappointing, considering it was £16.99. My husband ordered the Xacuti Chicken. Described as a mint leaf sauce. The dish was bright green, excessive sauce which resembled spinach. Not appetising to the eye and not particularly tasty. Papadums, pickles and naan were fine but not a pleasant experience.

Ordered at 19.35 and food finally arrived at 21:50. Order was missing the naam bread. All that aside the food was super tasty like always and I’m glad they fulfilled the order despite the difficulty of a delivery driver not turning up for work leaving the restaurant in difficulty.

This is probably the most authentic Indian restaurant in the area with a good choice of dishes not found elsewhere. It was also good to see them quite busy as a lot of restaurants are suffering at the moment. Worth supporting and we will be back as regulars.

We have often driven by Cafe Mash and wondered what it was like. It’s quite remote, located on the B676 with only farmhouses for neighbours. Last night we decided to give it a try and we weren’t disappointed. Service was very attentive, the food was exquisite- no vindaloos here; this is authentic Indian cuisine cooked to perfection with perfectly combined ingredients and served in huge ornate ceramic bowls. I highly recommend that you give this restaurant a try.

This is the best lndian you have ever had ! the food is freshly prepared by a very talented chef, the food is so tasty! And beautifully presented ,And a fantastic array of dishes 😋 some unusual dishes , the welcome is so warm , the service is excellent ,and very attentive, We went with family that haven’t been before ,throughly enjoyed it too, we are local and have been going there since it opened. I always order from here when I can, the food is always great, the delivery is always fast, the prices are always reasonable.

Food was OK but we had to wait too long to receive it - nearly 1.5 Hrs after we arrived. Had to ask the staff twice, as to when the food would arrive. Staff were polite and pleasant though. Waited over 20 minutes for the bill and when we approached to pay they were still calculating it.

Tandoori Mixed Grill. Was completely bland with no flavour at all. Pilau rice and nan were good.

Amazing food and stunning restaurant, the staff, Abdul and Shahin were polite and attentive. As well with the owner, Kamal. They made sure I was comfortable and happy and even helped me decide what to eat when I couldn’t decide. Overall I was more satisfied with my meal and service and would recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s looking to treat their tastebuds. If I could give more than 5 stars I would👍

One of the worst curry’s I have had in a long time. No flavour totally bland. Asked for extra dips with Popadoms because they were missed off last time and they were like water and I didn’t get anything extra. I think it’s very expensive for what it is I won’t bother again

Normally the food is a 5/5 however we found 3 pieces of bone in our cafe mash special main. And there was tandoori paste on our bread

I always love ordering from cafe mash, the food is full of flavour and the meat (I prefer lamb dishes) always falls apart. Not like the tough rubbish you get from other restaurants. It arrived hot, flavourful and I have to add that the delivery driver was clearly a restaurant employee rather than a just eat driver, fully suited up in a white shirt and waist coat which Just gives the brilliant first impression that they take pride in their establishment and themselves. Personally I loved that. We will 100% order again.

Had a delicious meal. The poppadoms, pickles (plus extras to those we ordered) and curries were fresh, individual and extremely tasty. Highly recommended.

Good quality of food, food size portions but my Jalfrazi was lacking in spice, heat and taste. The dry chicken shaslik had very dry chicken. Delivery despite being ordered well in advance was late. Not bad but average at best
