Stumbled on this cafe during a weekend in Chester. Great coffee and cakes very reasonably priced. Couldn't understand why people were passing it by to go to Costa in the Tesco next door.

New owners but they are just as bad as the old owners. Always outside smoking. Wait ages for them to make coffee. Would rather pay more for coffee than drink in that place anymore. Also treat ALL your staff with respect.

A massive big thank you to the staff at Cafe June when my cousin fell ill due to an ongoing problem with high blood pressure, we were passing the premises when she fainted and the could not have reacted better by calming her down and phoning for an ambulance, they brought water for her and a chair and cushion, my cousin came round eventually and we went on our way. Thank you Cafe Juno

Sadly the coffee is far too strong and the regular clientele are nothing but scruffy thieves. I left a bag of 3 Lush bubble bars by accident, went back straight away but the dishonest customers had away with them. Might make them smell a bit nicer but karma will bite them eventually.

Unfortunately will never use this place again. The staff are brilliant with customers but the owners are rude and do not care about customers. They try to be something they aren't. They do not like elderly as they prefer students. The food is all vegan and not that great. Avoid this place and get a better coffee from the bus station.

First-time visit to escape a short, sharp shower. Quite a discovery. Busy but all customers were dealt with in a timely manner. Order taken at desk but food delivered by an efficient helper: well done. One Earl Grey, one latte, two cakes for just over £9. This was a really good experience and I can recommend to all.

Me and my partner frequently visit on weekends. Service is always excellent and fast with food being delicious. I usually go with the strawberry milkshake and my boyfriend a latte. We both always eat the tomato, pesto & mozzarella panini and it is always excellent with high quality ingredients.

Best cup of flat white I’ve had.! Excellent staff, great value. Forget the chain coffee shops - come here. Excellent looking cakes, but I’m not allowed those. Only had coffee, but everything going to different tables looked very nice.

Called in for a quick coffee and stayed for a easy peaceful break. Hot, fresh tasty coffee with easy going service. I ordered two coffees for my wife and I however when she finally arrived hers was going cold, no problem they actually did a fresh pot free of charge, what a fantastic way to keep the customers happy and yes returning because this is not the first time we have used this fantastic little coffee shop

Popped in on the off chance for a coffee. This turned into a lovely strawberry milkshake coupled with the best panini I have ever had. Value was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely, lovely lunch today.

I was needing a drink and a sit down so went here, on the menu they had a cheese & bean toasty mmmm I though I will have this. Well it turned out to be heaven on a plate! I had to go back 2 days later for another one! The staff are very friendly and helpful, no rip off prices, its clean and nice inside too. Like all other cafes it allows smoking at the tables outside, I used to be a smoker but even outside would never smoke near people who were eating, but hopefully smoking outside at outside tables will stop in a few years. I know at this time they would loose a lot of customers if they stopped allowing people to smoke. Coffee was very good too. I will be back, also I have bought a toasty thing so I can make my own bean toasty's

We visited on a rainy day and the kind gentleman went out of his way to get a waterproof to cover my mobility scooter so it wouldn't get wet. Full marks for service. Coffee wasn't bad either.

We ate here on a Wednesday lunchtime in August during our day trip to Chester. We had a cheese and onion sandwich, a cheese pesto panini, coffee and water. £8 for the lot. Very tasty, freshly made food. Very friendly and helpful staff. There seemed to be a lot of regular customers which is always a good sign. Highly recommended.

Went here for a nice little coffee. Was served by a youngster called Dylan who dropped it all over the table. What a silly sausage. The cafe itself stunk, the surrounding houses smelled of sewage. The north of puddington smells worse than the south. It's really not worth the pain. Stay well away

My visit was for a lunch with friends. The pub was their local, not one they frequented but it was convenient. It was a memorable visit for all the right reasons. I was welcomed at the bar with smiles and I explained that one of my party had allergies. The checking of the ingredients was really thorough, the food came and it was hot, fresh and delicious. I appreciated all the effort that went in to ensure we had a great time and felt safe. Totally worthy of recommendation and repeat visits.

Lovely coffee and hot chocolate. Staff very friendly and polite. I always prefer the coffee in Starbucks to Costa coffee just a personal preference.

We have eaten here a few times now with our little dog, staff very friendly, there are obvious signs about the parking with a tablet at the bar to enter your reg number, the pin is displayed next to this. Good range of food quickly served, twice when we came they were recovering from disastrous floods so the menu was slightly limited, the food was still good though. Lovely setting to sit out by the river and regular entertainment at weekends. Keep it up Red Lion!
