Went for Sunday lunch buffet, unlimited refills. Nice selection of foods. Spicy and non spicy and vegetarian. Something for everyone. Replenished frequently. Staff very attentive and pleasant. Strongly recommend making reservation as its a small place and very popular. Often a queue to get seated.

Only been to the restaurant twice this week, Monday it was very quiet & the atmosphere was so different to last night (Saturday), Monday it was so relaxed with the staff having time to give you that extra attention & enjoy talking to the customers, the hustle & bustle of Saturday, the restaurant heaving with people, the staff with great skill ensuring that those in a rush were not kept waiting too long & those who wanted to stay for the evening getting the more relaxed treatment. The food as ever was great, eat in Monday, takeaway Saturday, never less than the best, not like other local restaurants where quality can be variable, the owners work there every night so you know you're getting the best attention, you may even meet them if you have a takeaway delivered, I sometimes wonder if bad reviews are written by people with vested interests in other restaurants, trying to promote those that have recently changed hands? Ganges Lounge is not the biggest restaurant so make sure you book to eat in (at busy times) otherwise you'll probably have to wait.

Attended a Charity Night hosted by the Ganges Lounge. Food was plentiful, hot and very tasty - went up for 2nds and 3rds !! Attentive, polite but discreet service. The atmosphere was jovial with lots of banter. A thoroughly enjoyable experience all round.

Myself and my partner have visited the restaurant many times and are always welcome. we had a take away as they had a charity event on and we did not want to be rude and interupted, however we were asked if we would like a table. we order our food and and were asked if we would like any drinks which i seem to never get anywhere else while i am waiting for a take away, so that impressed me even tho its that little touch. as there was an event on we were asked if we would like to take part in a raffle and we did. when the takeaway came its was very hot. my partner had the chicken buna which is lovely lots of flavour and the chicken is very tender and not chewy and i had the dansak which i would recomend if you dont fancy a hot curry. the food was wonderful even tho we had a takeaway. still to the high standards as if you were eating in. so i have to say a big weldone to shaz and ali for the wonderful food.Highly recomended

Visited here saw the reviews but was left dissapointed. Unlike Mastee up the road the food here was bland I found. The mrs food came out cold had to reheat it and the ambience was not what I expected. There's better curry houses out there!

A fantastic modern restaurant with really friendly helpful staff. The food is excellent and the lamb is the most succulent tender meat I have ever had in any restaurant. If you like it hot, I recommend the Lamb Chilli Masala. Good VFM, a must try!

Parents came to visit again which meant eating out and I chose Ganges based on current reviews and have to write that we all enjoyed the food we ordered.A friendly and courteous service, mixed with well cooked food and a comforting environment made for an enjoyable evening meal. I tried Lamb Bhuna for the first time ever and found it thoroughly tasty. It's a short walk for me to Ganges but for those who drive there is a car park at the back

Before I met my husband I NEVER ate Indian food - this place is the ONLY Indian restaurant I eat from now. The food is always consistently great and tasty wether your in the restaurant or eating takeaway. We highly recommend, the staff are really nice, and we always look for an excuse to spend our time here.

Again another fantastic meal and superb service. We asked for an item not on the menu. It was made just the way we like it and the service was brilliant. The food is very good considering the competition nearby, this place must be tried if you live in Milton Keynes or are in the area.

We saw this place by chance some months ago and gave it a try on a Sunday. We hadn't booked and we were lucky as it was very busy. The buffet lunch was freshly cooked, with a small but lip-smacking choice. The service is slick and friendly. It is quite a small place but nicely furnished and cosy. We enjoyed our meal very much and considered it good value. A few weeks later we took our grandchildren for the Wednesday buffet. Even better than the Sunday lunch. Great table service and superb menu. I suppose this is becoming a regular venue for our curry night, and we consider it to be in the top 3 curry restaurants in the MK area. The menu offers a good choice, and maybe I would say that if you like your curry very hot, then you might be disappointed. The cooking is excellent and consistently reliable. The staff are all keen to please well trained, and polite. The boss is a Christopher Lee lookalike and a delightful chap. For obvious reasons we are now regular if not frequent customers.

A friend picked this restaurant as it s where she gets her takeaways from every week. The outside of the restaurant looks quite smart and has recently had a face life it looks quite modern however when you get inside its very traditional and almost old fashioned. There isn't a lot of space and although we had a table booked for 6, within a hour big groups of ladies had entered the restaurant and as it s quite small and they were loud it did become hard to talk. I feel the inside could do with a facelift. However the menu is a good size with loads of options and very reasonably priced. The starters came with a great choice of sauces and dips ( more than any other Indian I have ever been to). I had the butterfly prawn which was nice and on par with others I have had before. A friend picked Onion Bhajie and they were Hugh and looked good! the menu didn't state Butter Chicken however I asked and they cooked it for me and I have to say it was probably one of the best I have ever had. The naan I chose was garlic and cheese but they put the cheese inside and it wasn't up to the standard of my normal Indian. The special rice was really nice and the portions were Really big meaning I bought a load home for my hubbie who had made do with cheese on toast as he'd been home alone. The service was really good the staff were attentive but not intrusive and they all looked very smart in their black shirts. So all in all if you want average surrounding s with good food at a reAsonable price this is the place for you.

Perhaps I was unlucky but my experience was nothing like the one reported by the other reviewers. This restaurant is nothing special, an average Indian restaurant like hundreds of others in the country, perhaps even a little old fashioned and peculiar for very strongly coloured food (one of the dishes was so implausibly red that could have easily been used for hazard warning purposes). Service OK and it is very cheap.

We often just have a takeaway but sit in too eat as well and its always the same; good indian cuisine at sensible prices. Its worth listening to the front desk when they take orders over the phone - I eat a lot of indian food but its rare to hear the order taker having a one to one conversation with the customer on the phone, but these guys seem to know all their customers which is a good sign. Only my willpower and need to lose a few pounds stops me eating there more often!!
