There are many types of coffee to choose from. The inside of the coffee back is based on a very imaginative design. Really pleasant atmosphere.

The best coffee I’ve tasted and the service is/was fantastic. I’m very sad to hear it’s clised and hope it will reopen in some capacity. Fantastic place.

He estado en el Café Frei en Gyor (Hungría) y el ambiente era divertido, curioso y muy positiva. Era deprimente granjas de este lugar en Londres con mucho potencial (y el espacio! No hay clientes) en un momento en que debería haber sido mucho. Gran variedad de café de todo el mundo sobre: dale una oportunidad!

Sadly, today is it's lsst day after almost two years. Why? Location and probably over invested in an area that did not attract customers to a back street. Place looked too large for the number of seats. Two counter staff. Self-service. No service at table. Berries smoothie and an avocado salad with boiled eggs and greens were both excellent. The Hario V60 pour over was below par. I asked the server, "what coffee are you serving today?" She pointed to the menu that is also plastered on the back wall of the counter 24 ft x 6 ft, designed probably with Wikipedia in hand of ALL the coffee producers of the world. Confusing even for Cafe Frei Baristas to say the least. Hope Cafe Frei finds a good location in the future. Every month a new cafe with a roaster is opening in London. Doesn't make sense that Café Frei is closing doors.

I'd enjoyed my visits to the branch in Budapest so I was delighted to see that this branch was around the corner from a work's event. Menu was exactly the same as I'd seen in Budapest with the same amazing range of coffees. Unseasonably high temperatures and meant I tried the frappes on this visit. I'll also make a detour to visit again.

I was after a swift brunch after a long train journey up to London and before an 11 o’clock meeting. Café Frei was on my route and looked inviting. Smart décor, friendly and knowledgeable staff, good food display, vast selection of coffees, intelligently explained instead of just an endless list of names. I had a Parisian Café au Lait and a tuna panini. Next time, when I should have more time available, I’ll try an avocado salad or ... there’s too much tempting choice!

I've been there a few times and the coffee every time was amazing. I tried some cake too, was good (but nothing special). I strongly recommend this place to visit if you would like to try different type of coffees. Nice place to meet up and spend some time there. I've been other Frei Coffees as well (in Hungary), the quality are consistent between the shops. A bit tricky to find on the street, there are (at least there was) no sign outside, just on the window, but worth the effort.

Lugar tranquilo para tomar un café buenísimo y tartas deliciosas. La carta de cafés es extensa. Tomé tres tipos diferentes y todos muy buenos. Muy recomendable

We were staying in the Premier Inn opposite and popped in for a drink. What an amazing place. Coffees from around the world and wonderfully made. My wife opted for a Hot Chocolate with Chilli and what a stunning drink it was. I had the Miami Beach Latte. I am not a massive coffee fan but I would recommend this place without hesitation.

Great place to meet up with someone to have a relaxed conversation and try one or two of the unique coffee creations.Or three. :) Have some of the delicious cakes as well, while you are there! Friendly staff to make you feel comfortable.

Huge selection of coffees from Italian to Arabic, Japanese etc. Home-made hot chocolate - it is Heaven indeed. You just cannot get bored of it! I always pop in if I am in East London. Staff are really nice, professional and super friendly. Their crepes are just amazing! Yummyyy :)

Fell in love with Cafe Frei in Budapest so when I was in London I had to go to this one! Really nice staff, delicious coffee and cakes from heaven. Will go back next time I’m in London. TOP!

Called when at nieces wedding as the boss likes her coffee, great selection and reasonably priced for London (i.e. all show no go usually), huge selection, wondered how many of each they actually sell, but not open early enough for us, 10am???
