Went here to day for a quick drink we got two cans of coke and two strawberry milkshakes, first thing he over charged me by £3.20 with him making out I had order that amount. Anyway the shakes tasted like melted ice-cream with the lack of strawberry, went back to tell him and he started shouting at me telling me there was nothing wrong with them, I told him I didn't want mine as it didn't taste nice but he continued to shout telling me he would do another one and it was up to me if I wanted it, avoid this place looks dirty lacks of taste and the staff are so rude!

This is a good place for a decent well priced coffee or tea and a decent breakfast bap or scrambled eggs on toast. We visited on a Friday and lots of people that visit the market were enjoying drinks and food - both eat in and takeaway. The coffee was freshly made of good quality and great price. The tea was nice and strong. We had a breakfast bap and it was fine. The filling was great but the roll was a type of Italian bread that was not ideal for me. The scrambled eggs were freshly made and all served on hot toast. The toilets were clean and adequate. The staff were very friendly and overall we we will definitely use again. Not for people that want something a little posher and are prepared to pay more for that in my opinion.

Called in over the weekend to try one of the extensive flavours of ice cream. I chose toffee apple but apparently I didn't need to spend so long choosing as it tasted of nothing but ice. It didn't even taste creamy like ice cream and certainly not of vanilla. Tired of the ice crystals I left the bottom layer in the tub. The staff were friendly but I have never tasted ice cream quite as bad as this before.

Had my first and last visit to this so called cafe.coffee and breakfast bun was ok but once we sat down and looked at the decor it was shocking. The dust was really visable all over the place even on the fire extinguisher hanging near the front door and as for the toilet omg I just walked straight out. My advice to the owners shut down and deep clean for 48 hours.very poor hygiene all round!!!!

Visiting Diss and wanting a coffee, popped into this place. The espresso was decent, and cakes looked very good. But the real star is their ice creams! These are made on the premises, and about seventy (!) different flavours are available. Many from the counter, and many more, in tubs, in a separate display fridge. The ice creams are quite delicate, and can vouch for the coconut, the peach, pistachio. The bacon with maple syrup was a successful funky choice. And look forward to returning to sample the chocolate with beetroot. Having recently visited a hipster type ice cream parlour in Felixstowe (very good, but really pricey) these prices represent a real bargain. Spoke to the owner/ice cream maker who is a real enthusiast. This is a lovely, non pretentious, place that any ice cream enthusiast should visit. Next time we will bring a cool bag and go home with a selection of tubs!

My friend and I went to Diss for the first time by train. We had already had fish & chips nearby which were terrible when we came across Cafe Culture, it was packed, I asked if we could just have a drink and the young lady said of course, I had a pot of tea and my friend had a coffee, both were excellent and very reasonably priced. We decided we would have an ice cream, I believe they had around twenty four varieties and only £1.00,for two scoops and you could have cream on top. You could have it in a sugar cone, sugar basket of in a dish, it was lovely. We looked at the menu and were amazed at the prices, one could have a snack of a full roast. The meals going out looked delicious and to top its all the staff who were mainly young were lovely, If you find your self in Diss in the Market Place this is a must, highly recommended, five stars.

Stopped here to have a quick lunch. We ordered English Breakfast. It was very disappointing. Rock hard fried eggs and cold mushrooms and toast. As a retired professional cook I cannot understand why so many cafe's are unable to cook simple eggs. Maybe it is lack of experience/training but it must have an impact on their business. It's a shame but we will not go back.

Needed a coffee whilst in town. Thought we'd try cafe culture. Food and drink was cheap but the place was filthy. The sticker on the window said Hygiene 5, I don't think so. The table legs were covered in aging gunk, the whole place needs a deep clean and a re vamp. My coffee was OK but similar to the stuff I used to drink in those old 80s transport cafes. Will not be going back. Would rather pay a little extra and go somewhere clean. On a plus, the young girl who served us did so with a friendly smile.

Good honest food at very reasonable prices . We came across Cafe Culture in Diss quite by accident ( having got lost and somewhat deviating from our original route ). The sun was shinning and there were several tables and chairs set aside for customers opposite the cafe. We settled for latte and cake for two and latte and warm sausage roll for one. The coffee was very nice ,the slices of cake large , the sausage roll very tasty and excellent value at £6 for our whole order . The menu was extensive and by the look of other peoples plates well cooked food and plenty of it. With the likes of liver and bacon or steak and kidney pie with potatoes and veg at £4 .00 we will definitely visit again. The only difficulty we encountered was access to the toilets , another banister on the stairs and grab rails actually in the toilet would have made a difference to my elderly friend .

This cafe offers food at cheap prices, although some of their offers don't seem that logical. I had a small version of a meal and a drink, which cost more than my husband's large meal as that had the drink included. The food is quite basic, but perfectly acceptable, tasty and the presentation is ok.I do wonder though if charging a touch more might make some of the food and presentation more appealing. I have been to this cafe quite a few times. It looks like it has recently had a bit of spruce up. The decor and seating was in good order. This cafe boasts that it has 100 menu items at less than £4. I noticed that they were advertising soup with freshly baked bread for £1.95.We were there for breakfast which was a good price. A word of advice, however is that the large breakfast comes with a free drink at £4.40, whereas the smaller breakfast comes to £4.75 or more as the drink is not included. The food was pretty much as you would expect for the price. It is not haute cuisine but it is perfectly adequate and served hot. The two members of staff we saw today were pleasant enough, although sometimes the strain shows when they are very busy. The cup of coffee was not large, and my husband had to pay for an additional cup, but even 2 cups only cost about the same as the bucketfuls they serve in Starbucks. He is quite fussy about his coffee, and was happy with it.Could they do anything to improve?I would prefer to sit down and have them come to me to take the order as is common practice in many cafe's, especially as the queue can be a but long when it's busy - but it doesn't stop me going there.

We found this cafe dirty for a start! The kitchen was much to be desired with a dirty grey cloth laying over the top of food and the whole area looking like it was in need of a good steam clean! The staff looked like they could do with a good old scrub, particularly the cook. The food, a full english and scrambled egg on toast, was quite astounding to work out how it could be so ruined! The egg on toast was tasteless, the sausages were indiscribable...they looked dry, hard and shrunken...and tasted just how they looked... awful! there was nothing nice about the experience at all! To top it off the 'cook' was in his own clothing...no whites...no apron of any discription...and was in and out of the kitchen walking through the cafe and touching money at the till! He asked for the money...approx £11..and said 'I dont suppose you want to pay for this' to which we replied 'no not really as it was awful and the sausages were something else!' he replied 'sorry about that' and took the money! How the place is still open astounds me! I advise anybody to give this a very wide berth!!

A brief stop for lunch here. The food was good and very good value. It's a place in need of some TLC, but clearly popular with locals. The building sits on a hillside and slopes down into the side of the hill with steps taking you down to the lower levels. They specialise in milkshakes (40 different flavours on offer) and the milk blending machine is quite loud. The towel in the gents loo was in need of changing and the floor of the cafe needed a good mopping. But the staff were cheerful and efficient and friendly and the food came quickly and was hot, in spite of the volume of customers. Not a place for a celebration, but a handy cafe for a quick break.

If you want burgers, pie, pizza, fish&chips also on our table location - on a busy food/pedestrian pass- plus a classy constant ‘C bomb’ dropping female barfly atmos - then this the place for you! Used to be great - what the heck has gone wrong? No specials, no drinks service, no enquiry as to if everything was ok (maybe too embarrassed to ask!). Great family (away from the classy barfly) ‘cafe/burger joint - but not a couples restaurant - maybe a commercial choice but not for us sadly anymore.

Friendly staff that don't 'overdo it', whilst ensuring a relaxed and attentive service. May be more pricey when ordering for groups of people, but individually it is worth the money. The selection of food we bought was recieved positively, cooked well to order with large and ample amounts, which recieved strains of 'oohs' and 'aahs' of satisfaction, especially towards crispy, flavoursome Scampi, and vinegar-coated, chunky chips. Very pleased with service, food, and cafe layout itself. Only issue is towards prices of drinks, but that can't be helped much due to inflation. All round good experience, leaving us full until the afternoon.

What a lovely manager. It was close to shutting as I pulled in to sort out my baby from crying on my way home to Essex. The manager even though closed invited me and my baby in so I could feed him and offered me tea. Thanks to her I had a happy baby who slept the rest of the hour journey home. That kindness I will never forget and now we plan to go in every time we make the journey now to see the parents. 10000/10

We had a very pleasant meal even though the service was very slow, staff were polite. Very nice atmosphere even though there was a very loud man in the bar. I asked a man who I assume was the manager that there was no soap in the ladies toilet he said he would deal with it but when I was leaving both soap dispensers were still empty so I had to use the disabled toilet. A mocca was ordered and we were charged for a Hot Chocolate and an Americano which came to £5.50, if we had known it would be this price we would not have ordered it, we queried it and were told we should have looked at the menu, there was no Mocca mentioned so we should have been informed.
