Dropped in here as dverying else was closed or closing. Had a cream tea and a banana waffle thing... only comment I would make is that as we are in Cornwall why use squirty cream on a not too cheap dessert. Food and Drink were good but a wee bit of attention to detail is needed.

Can’t review the food, only the attitude. There were very few people inside, I popped my head round the door and said “Excuse me, do you allow dogs inside”. the lady glared at me, and in a no nonsense, rude voice said “NO!” and looked away. Have to admit to being very relieved we had the dog with us, otherwise we might have gone in!

A very welcome return to this lovely little cafe after more than 2 years due to the pandemic. Still as delightful as ever, set right on the harbour of st Mawes overlooking the Percuil estury. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Good selection of sandwiches and snacks and I can never resist the best canoli you will find outside of Italy. Popped in at beginning of July when visting St Mawes by boat. Not too busy at this time of year but the weather was lovely so it was welcoming as it was nice and cool inside. Me and the wife just fancied a littlle snack so ordered a panini toasted sandwich each which were absolutely gorgeous and suprisingly filling. Pot of tea which was quite large so a few cups out of it which wife said was lovely and hot, and I had a cappucino coffee which was also quite large, hot and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful, interior and tables etc. were spotless and prices were perfectly reasonable, not appearing to be trying to rip off tourists as far as I could see as other reviews have mentioned. Probably could get a little cramped inside in peak season but this can't be helped. All in all, highly recommended.

I think this place is best for coffee and cake to be truthful. The available seating areas leave a lot to be desired for the prices being charged here. On the one hand there is the cramped inside tables and the outside seating across the road and squeezed into a busy corner of the harbor. There is a seagull hazard here so beware. The food was not bad to be fair, just charging too much for what is provided. Clearly and unashamedly geared up for the day visitors.

Not a lot to say other than far too expensive tourism prices and emotionless staff eager to clear the table before one has finished dining. The outside seating is bordered by the road and car park with virtually no view of the harbour.

On holiday for a week and we visited 3 times. First time was for a drink only, second for an evening meal and thenthirdnfir Sunday lunch. On all occasions, service was friendly, attentive (without being in your face or false) and courteous. Our evening meal was a beautiful piece of grilled haddock in a very tasty sauce with vegetables and potatoes. We also ordered a side of truffled mac n cheese. It was absolutely amazing. Sunday lunch was probably the best I've ever eaten as a pub dining experience and I've eaten a fair few in my 59 years. We opted for the 3 meat version of beef, pork and turkey. The vegetable selection was interesting and perfectly cooked. The giant yorkshire pudding was delicious but for me, the roast potatoes and gravy were the jewels in the very large crown. There was no room for pudding but on our evening visit, we did share the amaretto chocolate torte, which was fantastic 😀. For the quality and portion sizes, I would say The Pityme Inn is excellent value for money.
