1st time at Bryon the Food was great we were served by Jodie who was friendly & very attentive she even went the extra mile she came & found us at the apex to say we needed a refund as there was a mistake on our bill we were very grateful of this & can't praise Jodie enough we would highly recommend Bryan & will definitely go back. Stopped by for the night for a quick bite while exploring Bury. Good place to get a burger and fries! Jodie was a great server too!

First time at Byron and the food was amazing. We were served by Jodie who was friendly and looked after us really well. She even went above and beyond when there was a error on are bill. She knew where we were going next and came and found us, so we could get a refund. We were extremely grateful for this and can't praise Jodie enough. We would definitely go back again and highly recommend Byron. Lisa

Delicious food and great service.

Food was great, table service was fast, friendly and efficient. Our waitress, Jodie, was superb.

The food generally wasn’t bad. The burger itself was nice however I felt that it just wasn’t seasoned very much and had almost 0 flavour (five guys is much more tasty). I ordered the mac and cheese, which was really good, I ordered the sweet potato fries, which again were good but far too oily it made me feel a bit sick, and the coleslaw, which was great. Price wise the food was over expensive I thought. Compared to someone on our table who ordered the kids burger, I didn’t get a lot for my money. The kids meal was £11 ish and they had the same amount of sweet potato fries as me, it came with a drink and a burger too. A little bit bad as my burger was £15 and didn’t have barely any toppings inside and I had to pay for fries separately. I liked the idea of the QR codes so we could order the food through their website directly to our table, however a non removable service charge on top of the already expensive food was added on before we had even eaten anything. Service charges normally are paid at the end of the meal, so paying for one without choice at the start isn’t a good look. The milkshakes have hit a new time low, as I remember coming in after a day at college and there was giant milkshakes which the option to add Malt and various other flavours too, so a bit disappointed that they stopped something that I remembered to be a selling point. Other than that, it was very stuffy in there and a bit hot. I’m guessing that because it’s an open kitchen and no one is more than about 4 metres from the hot pans. Maybe better air con? Maybe Byron’s are going downhill? Who knows but the Norwich branch has permanently closed and, sadly, I predict Bury isn’t too far behind.

Lovely friendly staff, our server jodie was lovely and helpful, food was good, only issue was the burger had a bit too much sauce which it made eating the burger quite hard to do without it coming apart and slipping about in your hands. But it did taste delicious tho, and the onion rings where massive and very tasty. Would be nice to have an option to have a burger and fries together and not have to pay separately for them, as a cheaper option. But overall a lovely place for a treat.

Much better than having it delivered! The food was so much fresher. Jodie our waiter was a fabulous waiter patient, informed and attentive. Atmosphere was a bit flat - i think it’s to do with the layout. Love the mix and match carni/veggie/vegan approach to burger menu but it’s not communicated very well on paper - fortunately Jodie was on hand to help us. Thank you.

not impressed small burger sweet potato fries came as a blob we had a chilli burger had to look for the green chilli as definitely couldn't taste any I was still drinking my milk shake when they came with the bill and card machine ( felt like they were hurrying me ) then to top it all they had added a service charge not impressed sad to say we won't be returning or recommending

Waited a while to be seated, when seated the floor was dirty and the whole restaurant had a Smokey haze from inadequate extractors (wasn’t overly busy) food was ok but we stank of fried food the remainder of the day. Place is tired and in need of attention as seating was rickety, a smashed light fitting over one table and generally tatty. Just to add we wouldn’t have stayed if all other restaurants in the area hadn’t had queues.

I mean cold !! my husband sent them back ( something he never does) . the waitress apologised and took them away ..we carried on eating our burgers ( we wish we had sent them back as they were not as hot as would expect..so chips were brought to us and were piping hot ..but we had then had separate meal burgers then chips not we we were expecting ..for the price we payed for meal very disappointed.. we payed bill and waitress did apologise for the chips again ..but no offer of oh ill knock the chips off bill etc ...will not go there again . very overpriced for what we had ..

We had a lovely dinner made even better by the faultless service Jodie provided. The way she handled the dishes and dietary requirements was simply superb. My brother has severe learning disabilities and she catered to his needs effortlessly. Thank you Jodie, there should be more people like you

Had a lovely lunch here. Katie P did a great job of taking our order and dealing with allergies. Allergy information is on a tablet and the burger was labelled gluten free which is always reassuring.

The food here is great, that’s why we keep coming back! I love that you have plenty of veggie/vegan options. As the only non meat eater in my family, sometimes options are limited/boring, but not here. I was having a rubbish day, decided to stay in and order take away whilst watching a Christmas movie. When the food arrived not only was is still piping hot & delicious, they gave me a free dessert with a little note and honestly that’s the warm hug I needed today.

We chose Byron because my partner is gluten intolerant and they advertise gluten free alternatives. They did ask whether it was choice or allergy, why should that make a difference? The place is very tatty and un-inviting as are the staff (with one exception and like someone else said he should find a job at a better place.) The table was sticky and staff walking through the seating area carrying bin bags didn’t add anything to the experience. I admit the burgers were quite good but the miserable amount of just warm chips was very poor. Lastly the good waiter brought the bill along with the card machine and after I paid he grabbed the bill, screwed it up, and walked off. I did notice the service charge though which I really hate. I always judge prices by value for money and I feel very ripped off.

Great place to eat - the burgers are out of this world and the brownies are amazing. Special mention for Katie P, great service with a smile. Highly recommend and will visit again soon

We've historically loved eating here, but the last 2 times we've been they haven't had vegan chicken available so had to go elsewhere

Ordered some food from here for delivery, was a cyclist courier so the food wasn’t piping hot on delivery, the sweet potato fries were soggy, everything else was good however, I didn’t order a brownie but was given one free of charge and oh my god, this brownie was unreal, this brownie was as though it was hand baked it the kitchens of Olympus, this little bastard, was crispy/crunchy on the outside, but the inside melted as soon as it entered my mouth, it was like a solid liquid, it was the single best brownie I have ever eaten in my life.

Hadn’t been for sometime and was looking forward to it, but it’s changed and gone downhill. I had the classic Byron Burger, it was greasy and a weird charred flavour that tasted like an artificial seasoning had been added like you’d expect on “BBQ Crisps”. The waiting staff whilst attentive just seemed dishevelled and jaded, it was odd. Won’t be rushing back. It’s a shame as a good burger shouldn’t be difficult to do.

I went here before going to a show at the Apex, I had looked online and seen mixed reviews but the pictures of the burgers looked good, so I figured if they do nothing but burgers they should know what they're doing and we went there, unfortunately the burgers were slightly charred and you could taste it and I hate warm fries and that's what I got, unfortunately we were on a really tight time limit so we had to just eat and run, if I had the time I would have asked for it to be done again, I won't be in any hurry to go back.

There is something ironic about a burger place forcing you to order your food via an app, then charging you a default 10% service charge fee. Hoping to get something medium? Perhaps medium-rare? Nah, they can only manage burnt, but left out for a few mins to get cold. Overpriced to hell. Still laughing at the service charge with no service.

Very nice burgers but quite expensive. The drinks are pricey too. I would recommend going for a special occasion

Food took about 45mins to arrive, it was really busy with Deliveroo orders. I really felt for the staff who were all working hard. Would have been improved if we were told there wait for food, or we were kept updated with out having to enquire. Mac and cheese recipe has changed. Free round of drinks after me asking as we'd drunk them first round 45mins ago. Ashame we'll not be returning
