The place was very clean and the staff were incredibly friendly. As soon as we walked in, my son was given a kids’ menu and colouring pencils, which meant we could enjoy our meal in peace. The food was so delicious I didn’t even think to take a photo! I’d absolutely recommend this place to everyone.

I visited Byron last week, along with my cousin. She has a Gluten free intolerance and the staff were very helpful when looking into foods "safe" for her. The food was beautiful, the atmosphere was calm, the service was great. We were served by Katie P who was a delight. Their lunch time menu was affordable. We will be going again soon!

Our food arrived very hot and was delicious. We had the lunch time special and the house wine was very nice. Our waitress Katie P was brilliant.

Jodie, our server was amazing. Both of my parents have mobility issues and upon entering Jodie was already helping them inside. Throughout the meal she was on hand and checked in with us to make sure we were ok or if we needed anything. My dad accidentally left his cap inside and Jodie kindly ran it over to us just after we left. The food was great and everyone enjoyed their meal. We’d happily recommend it to others.

My family and I came here on Friday night (21st March) We had a very enjoyable evening. The milkshakes we had were delicious. Really friendly staff member.

It took 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and 40 + minutes for food. We ordered by the QR code and then was informed that it would take longer to get served that way! People were who came in after were served before and was poor service. Food quality has decreased as well as service and the prices are going up! Will think twice before returning

They have changed the meat so now the burgers come well done. Only notified when I asked for the bill. Jodie was our server can't put a foot wron

What a shame, was looking to have a quick burger and fries, heard the place was half decent, far from it, on arrival met by a dozen Just eat, Deliveroo, people in the doorway,took 10 minutes to get through that lot before we were told to sit outside in the rain as there was no seating inside, ordered through the app, they immediately applied a service charge to our bill, waited 35 minutes to be served cold French fries with our burnt burgers. Sorry to say we will be returning any time soon.

Byron is a semi regular place for us as a family and it always serves up delicious burgers. This branch is very good and on this occasions we received a lovely welcome and friendly helpful service from our waitress. Two of us had the Smokey, one of us had the classic burger. We shared some fries and onion rings. The onion rings were the only disappointment, the batter was soggy and undercooked. Overall a very enjoyable meal.

Tonight, it took 32 minutes from order to receiving drinks, then a further 10 minutes for food. The service used to be really good however tonight showed just how badly this service has slipped. Burger great, chips over done as disappointing.

Visited bury st edmunds branch today, staff polite and helpful service excellent food hot delicious portion size just right . Recommend to everyone. Puts miller carter to shame .

Food was average. We saw that my partners had been sat on the pass for 10 minutes before mine was ready, so by the time hers turned up it didn’t taste great. Drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive. Food took around half an hour. Restaurant was only at about 30 - 40% capacity so the wait time wasn’t really acceptable. Witnessed one of the chefs leave for the end of his shift (or lunch break?) and pick a bogey out of his nose - nice. Luckily, (or unluckily?!) I spotted this after we had eaten. Our server Lisa was lovely and made an effort to make a bit of small talk - this makes a world of difference when you’re eating out. Used to come here years ago when it first opened, service and food was much better then. We came in today as Nando’s was our preference, however there was not a table available for 20 minutes - I wish we’d waited. We kept the service charge on the bill because of Lisa’s efforts. It did however feel wrong to think that I’d just paid an additional service charge for a potential unwanted bogey in my burger. Won’t be returning…

First time visiting Byron Burgers and it was a great first impression. The member of staff who served us was fantastic! They talked us through available menu items and were really understanding when my wife needed to make adjustments to her burger.

Jodie’s service was great. Very helpful and attentive, and couldn’t do more to help when the order came out wrong.

Service was very poor - our gluten free meal (allergy not choice) was not provided correctly, and when we notified the waiter his attitude changed completely (Matt). He became very rude, was short and abrupt with us, but could be seen the next table over being very polite and friendly. Shocking behaviour from someone who works in customer services.

1st time at Bryon the Food was great we were served by Jodie who was friendly & very attentive she even went the extra mile she came & found us at the apex to say we needed a refund as there was a mistake on our bill we were very grateful of this & can't praise Jodie enough we would highly recommend Bryan & will definitely go back. Delicious food and great service.

Food was great, table service was fast, friendly and efficient. Our waitress, Jodie, was superb.

The food generally wasn’t bad. The burger itself was nice however I felt that it just wasn’t seasoned very much and had almost 0 flavour (five guys is much more tasty). I ordered the mac and cheese, which was really good, I ordered the sweet potato fries, which again were good but far too oily it made me feel a bit sick, and the coleslaw, which was great. Price wise the food was over expensive I thought. Compared to someone on our table who ordered the kids burger, I didn’t get a lot for my money. The kids meal was £11 ish and they had the same amount of sweet potato fries as me, it came with a drink and a burger too. A little bit bad as my burger was £15 and didn’t have barely any toppings inside and I had to pay for fries separately. I liked the idea of the QR codes so we could order the food through their website directly to our table, however a non removable service charge on top of the already expensive food was added on before we had even eaten anything. Service charges normally are paid at the end of the meal, so paying for one without choice at the start isn’t a good look. The milkshakes have hit a new time low, as I remember coming in after a day at college and there was giant milkshakes which the option to add Malt and various other flavours too, so a bit disappointed that they stopped something that I remembered to be a selling point. Other than that, it was very stuffy in there and a bit hot. I’m guessing that because it’s an open kitchen and no one is more than about 4 metres from the hot pans. Maybe better air con? Maybe Byron’s are going downhill? Who knows but the Norwich branch has permanently closed and, sadly, I predict Bury isn’t too far behind.
