first of all the service was awful had to wait half an hour for a cheese toastie worst part is it wasnt even good and also one of the waiters was completely rude. my cheese toastie had bacon in it and the bacon felt off it was burnt but yet un cooked at the same time once i finished me and my partner decided to defiantly not come back here again the food was terrible for the price it just felt like there was no effort put into it.

I love calling in here for a hot drink. I normally get something to eat...maybe cheesy crumpets or cheese&onion on brown toast. Friendly fun chatter/banter going on. Hard workers. Keep it up guys...you deserve thanks/recognition.

Had a layover from Burnley to Glasgow. I am from Preston but don't live here anymore. I had to visit the cafe. It has been here as long as I can remember and I am 31. Got the vegetarian burger, chips and a cup of tea. All for about £7. The burger with the fresh salad was absolutely immense, the chips to accompany it were good, however a bit too greasy. The tea was made perfectly. 4/5.

I stumbled upon this shop and it’s genuinely so cute! The staff are super friendly and as an international traveler it was nice to know that they take visa and American Express cards. The toasties are so good and the milkshakes are a perfect paring for them! I would highly recommend, visiting and enjoying the atmosphere here for a while. It’s perfect for to go meals and to just sit and relax! Would highly recommend for everyone!

Highly recommended to anyone passing through the bus station - it's great value. The ladies working were very friendly, the full English breakfast was delicious, hot drinks of a good standard and the environment was fresh and clean. I recieved a warm welcome and was able to sit there and relax for a while whilst waiting for my coach! Thank you. I will visit if I pass through again. :)

I caught a bus to Preston bus station recently to catch a connecting bus and wanted something to eat while I was waiting. I found the bus station cafe where I experienced great food at reasonable prices, friendly service from the staff and a good standard of cleanliness. It was also convenient to me to be able to pay by card. I would not hesitate to recommend this cafe to anyone who was catching a bus to or from Preston.

The coffee wasn't very nice. Man serving was too busy talking on phone to finish serving so a woman had to come out & help. Asked woman who bought food out to get salt & vinegar for me but I had to get them myself. Don't know if she saw the 2 crutches. Wont be going back in a hurry.

i use it regularly while waiting for the next bus after a hike or shopping trip. I am so glad they kept it open in the refurbishment of the bus station. For those wanting traditional food it's grand; for just tea and toast it is ideal. Nowhere else I know of like it in town centre.

There are many places to eat and drink portrayed both in the world of fiction and reality. From the busy station café in the film Brief Encounter to the late-night diner in Edward Hoppers painting Nighthawks. All create images of romance, of stories untold and of course tea and coffee. It is into this realm we now must include The Bus Station Café in Preston. Located within the listed, brutalist concrete cathedral to public transport, Preston bus station, it provides a wonderful window on the world of the local commuter from within its spotless environs. So pull up a chair, enjoy a cup of reasonably priced tea or coffee and peruse the very traditional British café menu. It was here I found myself with a friend recently, indulging in a very handily available all day breakfast. From the generic sausages, bacon, fried bread, unidentified brand baked beans, fried egg cooked in such a way that you can never quite describe it nor replicate at home and generous portion of tinned mushrooms we watched the world go by on its rubber tiles floors for the meager price of £4.80. In short, it is clean, reasonably priced, had excellent service and a very traditional café menu. You won’t find locally sourced yet bizarrely overpriced items, or expensive ‘special blend’ coffees nor any kind of pretentiousness in here. It’s a straight up café and you get what you expect. Nothing more and nothing less. And for that, it should be applauded.

Basic tells it like it is. Plain 'greasy spoon' type cheap English plain food for the simple traveler. Don't expect to find anything too unusual here. It's the only cafe in the bus station so if you want a hot meal while waiting for your coach this is the only place to go, It's bright and airy and clean, as it should be as it's not been open long. No atmosphere at all. Modern uncomfortable seats and tables. It stares out to the bus station corridor so everyone passing by has a look in. Service was slow when I was there, had to wait a while for the food. Had an english breakfast which wasn't half bad and decent price. I noticed a lot of visitors were buying stuff to take out. Cheap basic cafe eats. I don't know what I was expecting but considering they spent millions doing up the bus station recently I thought they would have had a bit more imagination than this bland box.
