Burnham Chippy in Leicester

All the food is always nice but i just ordered a fishcake (which i have gotten twice before) and got only a couple of chips! Either put enough or dont put any.

Brilliant lovely chios and the fish is gorgeous and mushy peas are the best I have had in years, worth the visit

For one, the owners try rob u, i went in and asked for 1 large chicken shish, and 1 large lamb shish, with 2 chips and cheese, the owner tried charging me for 4 smalls and 4 chips and cheese, which is ridiculous, almost double what was due, shamelessly jus tryna take ur money, then on top the food made me seriously ill for a week, i dno what they put in there food or if its cooked properly but eatin here gave me food poisoning, avoid this place unless u wanna be hustled and end up with food poisoning

Has to be the best chippy , kebab shop .portions are good , a good range of veggie things . Staff are excellent ,a family run business

The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are very helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend Burnham chippy.

What can I say, avoid at all cost unless your buying just Chips from this place. I brought Donnor MEAT AND CHIPS the donnor was tasteless ended up ringing the chippy to inform them they gone downhill. Their fish unless its come out of the fryer in front of your eyes avoid! Service is was good, do greet and have a chat with you but their food is no good. Avoid at all cost. Just go next door to the shop get yourself a £1 sandwiches you will be more satisfied with that. Will not be returning to this place myself

This community is blessed to be served by the wonderful people at Burnham Chippy. The food is exceptionally good, with fresh high quality ingredients and a very clean kitchen. The folks behind the counter always greet you with a smile and a bit of banter so it's a great experience every time, no matter how busy they get... and they do get busy, for good reason. You know it's decent food if locals are queueing!

Best chillie sauce in Leicester

I love this chippy and the foods usually spot on. Tasty, fresh, and was a great way to treat the family for a low cost. I would always recommend. However recently the prices have sky rocketted, which in the current climate is understandable. The problem I had with the raised prices was that the portion sizes had also been reduced by at least half. A large fish cost just over £7 and it was tiny. A portion of chips barely fed 2 people. Sadly it now Makes it a non cost effective place to buy from for the family, as a treat. So probably won't be going back soon, 😕

I don't eat outside or buy takeaway often, but this place is absolutely great for quality and price well done. Recommended

Can't fault it here at all! Never been served bad food once, always fresh. The owner will always offer a few chips to eat if waiting for things to cook and will throw in bottles of coke for big orders, top business run well

Ive never had a better kebab! Been going to Burnham chippy for the last 22years, I moved out of Leicester 17 years ago and still travel down every few months for my kebab, 480mile round trip and worth every penny 😁

This place always seems busy and a Friday night is no exception. Only had a large chips to take away £3.40 or 60 and you got a very generous portion of very tasty chips. Staff a very friendly and the service is pretty quick. I would recommend.

Always massive portions even when buying smaller sizes. Always get more for your money. Staff are lovely. Always give my children a complementary lollipop each. Food is really tasty, fish is lush and they do a wicked kebab.

Large portions. Cod was v. good but some chips not cooked and oil smelt and tasted old..or perhaps it is also used for non fish items.

Quality of chips has gone down hill some are hard and some soft was better quality chips years ago. The fish is also too oily. The pie are dry inside sometimes must have been sitting for long time. Last resort to get any food. Needs better quality food to improve.

Just dropped in for some dinner after work. What a big disappointment we had food was only lukewarm cod didn't taste like cod. And the biggest think we noticed was how expensive this chippy has gone. I am afraid it will be a long time before I return.

Wouldn't even give 1 star! This place has really gone down hill, used to be great food but now the Kebab is salty as hell and the fish n chips tasted really bad... Maybe change the oil, sadly we won't be going back!
