Burghers cafe area is beginning to look a little tired. The food is nice, and we will continue to visit regularly, however the decor is in need of some serious TLC. The couch seats are very badly worn and its a bit drab.

Burgers came highly recommended to us unfortunately it did. not meet expectations. We were welcomed and seated by a very pleasant member of staff but this was the only positive of our visit. The hot chocolate I ordered was lukewarm and I had to ask for it to be reheated. My breakfast had a hair on it and obviously had to be returned to the kitchen. We were expecting that considering we were in an Artisan bakery the toasted bread would be special however, sadly this was not the case and the white bread was basic supermarket quality. The poached eggs on both mine and my son’s breakfast were over cooked and rubbery. When I came to pay the bill the assistant seemed very surprised that I was expecting an adjustment to the bill and after she spoke to somebody the cost of one of the breakfasts was removed. In addition to this the ladies toilet looks very tired and is in need of a deep clean and repainting ( lot of scum and dirt around the tap bases) Needless to say we will not be returning.

Dropped in for breakfast and to sit outside the main entrance as it was glorious. There was only a couple of members of staff serving and the queue was building. An elderly gentlemen was faffing about, he was both sides of the counter, completely ignoring the staff or customers, just making his own coffee. Another elderly lady came in and similar, both sides of the counters, chatting to the gentleman, then going into the cupboard and messing about with the fire alarms. She’s barking orders about waiting for a coffee and rolling her eyes. Next thing they are both sat outside and the queue is even bigger, with people explaining this has become the norm now. Brilliant, I wouldn’t mind but the coffee and breakfast was no where near the usual standards.

Can’t believe this is part of the Premier Inn group! The hotel needs a complete refurb and a professional customer focused team to run it! Everything is grubby or broken. The curtain rail in our room hanging off the wall and A4 pieces of paper pinned above the toaster in the restaurant to prevent masonry from falling onto the food! Reception was hardly ever manned and my daughter put in a completely different room which led to her being accused of not paying even though our rooms had been paid for in advance. Rickety narrow stairs which resembled a red light district hotel and a complete lack of care and attention from staff. We certainly won’t return and instead have queried how this hotel is still being run under the Premier Inn name! Great shame as lovely location.

Great hotel in the centre of Marlow. This is a little different than your normal Premier inn’s. As it’s quite small it feels more like a boutique hotel and with its location right by the river puts it in a nice location. Staff are really friendly here and check in was simple. Even though the hotel is small the rooms are what you expect for a premier inn, clean and with the comfy bed. Only downside is the small tv as I was trying to watch the football. I did have a good nights sleep. Breakfast is good here as the hotel is next to a whitehead inn pub. As the hotel is small it means for hot food orders are taken which means the food is fresh.

Looked like the place to be as it was full and we had to wait to be seated. One we were allocated our table we were given a couple of pieces of paper which are the menu, but unfortunately stuck the the hastily wiped over table. Service was ok but the food was about as tasty as the menu. Sausage sandwich with no taste and a bit of salad. The pasty was the same as economy supermarket offerings and awful coffee. Won’t be rushing back, but seemed to be in the minority as people at the other tables seemed to enjoy their food

A Premier Inn that possibly suffers from planning permission regulations due to it being shoe horned into a old existing building, note there is no lift. My room was OK, had a funny smell to it, windows opened and air con works great. Staff were very freindly. Breakfast was great, note a hot breakfast is not a buffet which has its advantages but prepare to wait a bit longer, if you're in a hurry add an extra 10 minutes needed onto breakfast. Parking outside is very limited. Great location, plenty of bars and restaurants in the area, a really beautiful spot in a lovely town.

Trash place with zero interest in serving people of colour. Was patiently stood, with a simple query about ingredients in one of the desserts in the front display, waiting for nigh on ten minutes to be acknowledged, yet despite being seen by a member of staff who glanced at me more than once when she was at the till, she opted to serve two white clientele first who'd approached the counter after me. Upon eventually serving everyone else and finally acknowledging me, her paltry excuse was that she hadn't seen me (despite noticing me twice as I stood there waiting). And then claiming the others were in the queue! Yet I'd been stood there before they even joined it!! During that time, at least two other waitresses had walked past the counter and blatantly ignored me, not even having the politeness to acknowledge my presence (yet seemed fine to acknowledge other customers, who, surprise surprise, weren't people of colour... coincidence, much??). Utterly appalling experience, do better, much much better. Not surprised, given the lack of diversity in the staff that they have scant regard for the customer experience of people of colour.

Pre booked a birthday lunch for my partner who is terminally ill. I asked the person I spoke to 2 days earlier if they could make the table nice for the lunch as this was a lunch to be remembered. On arriving there was no table reserved for us. We were taken to a tiny 2 seated table, which was not appealing at all. Lunch was basic, only had brown bread which was not that fresh. My partner had ham egg and chips, all about 10 of them. We have been eating here for a long time and have always enjoyed our meals, so I’m not sure what’s happened to the standards for us to have had such a bad experience. Would I go again? Mmmm not if that’s the kind of standards it has come to. Burgers need to take stock of unsatisfied customers feedback.

Popped in here for a sandwich and coffee. No room inside so we sat outside. No table service outside so I queued up at the till. There are 2 counters - one for the shop side and one for the cafe side. The shop side has 6 people serving and no customers, and the cafe side had 1 person serving and a long queue. So I queued. Eventually ordered 2 coffees and 2 toasted sandwiches. Was told to wait to collect them as they didn't serve tables outside. Received the coffees after a few minutes. Took them outside. Came back in and waited for the sandwiches. Eventually got bored and asked where the food was. The server went off to look and found them in a bag in the kitchen. In the meanwhile the coffee went cold. And the toasted sandwiches had cooled down as they had been sitting around. The sandwich might have been nice if it was at the right temperature. The coffee was a waste of time. The place may serve OK food but the service is a shambles. I won't return.

No one met your eye until harassed lady in charge did. Bizarrely we had to ask to sit down. Due to none of the staff mulling around actually taking an order we did so at the till. Tables were fairly dirty and uncleaned. Coffee came out and was good. Had to chase up food and harassed lady apologised.

there are a few seats outside on the pavement where you can watch the world go by whilst enjoying a nice coffee. We had a croissant breakfast outside as this place is not dog-friendly

Stopped for tea and a scone. Nice place but service very poor and slow. All young girls and needed some training and motivation. Table was dirty and no offer to clean it. Tea was excellent and scone very good and reasonably priced. Parking very difficult and no Wi-fi and poor Vodafone phone signal.

We stopped for coffee and a bacon sandwich after walking the dog. Good strong, hot coffee and decent crispy bacon. Nice little touches, crackers, lettuce and garlic mayo accompanied them. Food came out quickly and served with a smile

My husband and I have been coming to Burgers on and off for years as we live locally: fortunately we've never encountered surly or disinterested staff as other reviewers have. We called in today for cream tea just after 2.30 pm and were told there were no more scones left: this is the 2nd occasion this has happened since Burgers started opening on Sundays again: we chose other cakes and enjoyed them with our tea but it's a pity with more than two hours left before closing not to be able to have cream tea or afternoon tea (which includes scones)! It's not as though scones are expensive to make!

Nice cafe and bakery with lots of seating, but nothing exceptional. They offer a big range of cakes, pastries and hot food. Somehow it seems to lack atmosphere, but whether that’s because of the rather bland decor or the slightly disinterested staff I couldn’t tell. It was certainly busy on a showery summer morning.

We arrived and there were several staff milling around the cash desk. None met our eye, none acknowledged us (all totally ignored us). Eventually, a slightly harassed looking (but very polite) lady ran down the cafe to greet us. It looked like there were only 2 people serving on the floor, the rest stood by the cash desk. We waited and waited and waited for someone to take our order and (again) the harassed looking lady re-appeared. She was really lovely and hats off to her, she was working really hard. Other tables were going to the cash desk to order, as they had given up on being served. The food arrived quickly and was really, really superb.....so it's such a shame that the service was so slow. After our meal, it took a long time to catch someone's eye to get the bill, so we went over to the desk, where there were still lots of staff and the lady manning the till seemed most un-bothered as we handed the money over, snapping a 'thank you, bye' at us. Would be worth coming here for the fantastic food but would probably find somewhere with better service....sorry.

We always head to this place when visiting Marlow, for either lunch or just coffee and cake it consistently has delicious treats to tempt us. The staff are always friendly, happy to help with decisions and generally make you feel welcome. The decor is stylish and comfortable and always spotlessly clean. Don't be put off by the name, it's definitely NOT a burger bar!

Visited Marlow for the day popped into burgers for a spot of lunch. Really busy little cafe in the bakery but the food is all freshly made so may have to wait a while.

The place has some potential but it definitely needs to improve its service; as currently, the staff do not seem to have any control over what is happening or in fact seem to care. And it's not because they don'thave enough manpower.

My and I took our granddaughter here for a late lunch. This is just the type of place I usually like but unfortunately I just couldn’t warm to it. Firstly we never felt welcome, the staff didn’t seem to enjoy working there, they were quite abrupt and never smiled. The food was overpriced and very average. I had homemade pie and salad, the pie was good but the salad had no care taken in its preparation and was quite bland. My wife had the tricolor salad which was terribly boring and pretty tasteless. Probably the one who enjoyed her dish the most was our 14 month granddaughter who had a £4.50 slice of cheese on toast. I really wanted to like this place but just couldn’t, we were going to have a sweet but decided to leave.

My wife n I entered into this cafe which was surprising for mid morning - the foot falls were high and clients were being professionally and politely . We too ordered our coffees and really relished the strong aroma of the freshly brew coffee. Highly recommend this fast moving cafe .

We wanted a coffee and a cake but there was a poor choice of cakes today. We asked for coffee cake and it was stale. We took the cake back to the counter and it was swapped for a different cake but that wasn’t very nice either.

Myself and my friends went to burgers of Marlow today and I was greeted by one of the waitresses and shown to a table my friends joined me shortly after I was served by a young man and a young blonde lady they went out of there way to help me get the service I expected they had some rude customers that were sat on another table but they continued the order with a smile I would highly recommend this place if you want a fast friendly service and great food.

We saw this Artisan Bakery & Tea Rooms which looked nice from the outside so we decided to go in for a snack. We ordered a banana milk shake with ice cream a chocolate brownie a sausage roll and a pot of tea. We paid but then were totally ignored. We chose to sit on one of the outside seating areas, eventually a very grumpy blonde waitress bought out a warm very watery milk shake. She then came out again asking if we were having 2 teas and we said one, I said the milk shake was warm and I’d ordered one with ice cream (which was an additional cost). She took it back and brought it back with a dollop of ice cream in it. I always thought they put the Ice cream plus milk and flavouring into a whisk to mix them altogether. Then we said we were waiting for a sausage roll and before we could add plus the chocolate brownie she turned her back and walked off again. She brought the sausage roll out (half size, cold with a slice of cucumber, slice of tomato and a few leaves) with a dirty knife. No fork to eat the salad with. We then had to say we’re waiting for a chocolate brownie, she returned with that plus another dirty knife. It was not the level of service we expected in such a nice area. I’m so glad we hadn’t ordered a full meal there. One of the other waitresses a young girl with brown hair and glasses was very helpful.

We sat outside with our dog in the sunshine at this traditional tea room/patisserie, with a view of the beautiful parish church and bridge, and watched the busy Marlow world go by. Water for Tilly arrived without us asking-very thoughtful! Plenty of homemade food on the menu at this artisan bakery. It was hard to choose from all the tempting offerings, but you can’t go wrong with the Welsh rarebit. Coffee was nice and hot - top notch. And of course, to finish, the delightfully presented cakes were impossible to resist. Highly recommend.

Received shocking customer service , no communication for slow service or lack of product ...if we were told they was no scones for cream tea as that’s what we specified that’s what we were after , we would of gone else where. We received all of our items at different times , the hot chocolates were served Luke warm waiting for the cream to be whipped. when we had eaten the cream the Cup wasn’t even half full of chocolate, for the price it wasn’t good enough

From the moment we stepped into The Crown we were given a lovely warm welcome! We took a table next to a warming fire which was much appreciated due to being -5 outside. Food was fabulous both choosing a main & dessert. Service impeccable. Really relaxed, friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be visiting again. Fantastic!

Had my fathers wake here after his funeral. Staff were very accomadating, pub itself is great like an old country pub with fires and lots of little hidden corners here and there making it very cosy and homely. We had the aftermoon tea menu which was great, i imagine the meals here are even better Highly recommend
