Burger Basement in Cheshire West and Chester

Food arrived 2 hours late , staff rude and continually lied about delivery times , food arrived cold and better still the wrong order !! Politely asked for updates and staff shouting and claiming wasting time ! Then said would cancel order. Place a joke . Burgers tiny and ridiculously over priced . Chips dread to think what’s happened there.

These guys are SO friendly! Burger and cheesy chips were amazing - totally saved us at the end of a long day of festival fun! Thanks so much for rescuing my friend in need too, going above and beyond making her something to eat even when you’d closed the kitchen! Thank you - we will be back!

I came here with my daughter and partner, restaurant looks amazing and the food was great too!! We all had one of their new milkshakes which are amazing too!!

Ordered online, was told they can’t start making the food until we arrive although we already paid. Got there and was told they were out of the chilli for the hotdog, nacho cheese, and chorizo, so we had to change our order which meant we lost out on some money, waited 45/50 minutes and we weren’t offered free food to reimburse us for the money we lost, so we had to ask ourselves and we were made to feel cheeky and awkward. Drove back home to North Wales, the find the portions of chips were missing from the two I Scare You burgers (£18 each), therefore we essentially paid £36 for two burgers without fries… and the fries we did have were stone cold and soggy. We called the store to advise them of the missing food and the only outcome they offered was for us to drive back to Chester… no other alternatives were offered like a refund or even them dropping the food off for us, which you’d think they’d do from all of the inconveniences caused and the amount of money we spent. I called them back later on that evening, whereby the woman I spoke to was lovely and assured me that the owner will call me back that evening to resolve the issue. I received no call back, I then had to call back again the following day and spoke to a lady who was abrupt and unhelpful and she ended up hanging up on me as I was apparently breaking up but the line was fine for me, so I tried calling again straight away and she hung up again.

We visited Chester Lakes for breakfast today 16 May, arriving at 10am ordered breakfast immediately and an hour later nothing arrived. We paid £17.70 for two breakfasts, one black pudding and a tea and coffee. I enquired what was happening only to find that the young lady who served us was sitting on the floor crying. Other staff had arrived by this who where trying to get things moving, we had our breakfast eventually at 11.20 not the ones we ordered but were told it was the best they could do...... the tomato and beans stone cold, the bacon overcooked, no sausage at all, burnt toast. It was awful and fit for the bin. The two male staff were apologetic, they were trying their best. It was disgraceful really, the service, the food the whole experience. I would not recommend to anyone. How you can offer a service like this to people who pay their hard earned money to come to your cafe ..... this it’s disgraceful..... I really don’t know how you can sleep at night.

Ordered chicken wings, salt and pepper chips, chicken wrap, hot dog and cheese cake. The only edible items were the wings and cheese cake (which was so small so very poor value for £5). The wrap, hot dog and fries were all cold, the hot dog and fries were distinctly unimpressive for the price. Too expensive for cold, average fayre. To add insult to injury the order took nearly 2 hrs, never again.

Couldn’t fault these guys @burgerbasement! Food was delivered on time and portion sizes are great! The burger quality is amazing, right down to the salad they use and the bun it’s served on. Food packaging is well thought out too which is great. I’d describe the food as something you would be served in a decent well rated restaurant! I would highly recommend!

Will definitely use again was all hot and fresh. Exactly how long they said it would be. And really friendly helpful staff 😍

Enjoyed a double blue from Chester lakes. Very tasty burger, succulent meat and loved the blue cheese on it. The build your own burger is great too, with a good choice of free toppings. Well done Burger Basement, we will definitely return.

I don't leave reviews normally but i felt i needed to on this occasion as it was so bad! After seeing burger basement advertisd all over facebook I thought I'd give it ago we ordered there combo burger box was excited when it arrived it looked good but on eating it the chicken was dry and cooked to its end of life hardly any chicken left as it had been cooked for so long, i then ate the burger and OMG what a vile taste coming from that burger all you could taste was grease not a nice beef taste you expect from a freshly made burger which they certainly ain't these are frozen patties, the fries were soggy and absolutely awful covered in cheese sauce that has come out of a tin which didn't taste of cheese at all the whole meal was disgusting never again will i buy from here the only good thing about this place is the pictures thats the best your going to get as for the food Please save your money and don't bother buying from here very dissapointing

Tasty but arrived cold and didn't arrived on time. Small portion for the price. In my opinion not worth the money.

Ordered from here after wanting to try it. I’m so used to just ordering Chinese food when it comes to Friday night takeaway, but my partner wanted a change and when ordering there was lots to choose from, lots of different flavours. We ordered 2 burgers, 2 fries and onion rings. The onion rings were amazing, restaurant quality and extremely crispy which is how we like them. A little expensive to get every weekend but nice treat. Will order again soon 👍🏼
