Lovely views, food and amicable staff !

Pizza baked in electric oven. Hugely over prized. Would not recommend and will not be going again.

Visited the restaurant with my family. There's no need to book a table - just turn up. The pizzas were delicious - we ordered 3 different ones and all were nice. Can't comment on the drinks as we didn't order any. You can get free tap water as almost everywhere else. Found it reasonably priced and pleasant to eat in.

We visited whilst on holiday in Cornwall and had a great dinner. The staff were very accommodating and shifted things around so we could fit in our pram. We sat inside as the outside area was busy but we could still enjoy the view from where we were. The food was great, I'd definitely recommend visiting.

£20 service charge added to the bill for sub par overcooked flavourless pizza is a bit ridiculous. Other than that the atmosphere was alright.

Really lovely food, but surly staff and terrible cutlery, which had no chance of cutting a lovely thin crispy pizza. It would seem you are expected to eat with your fingers!! Main issue was the number of dogs in the place. Its a restaurant for goodness sake - when did it become acceptable to take dogs in restaurants??!!

Wow, what an amazing dinner! We were extremely lucky and had an terrace table overlooking the river! The pizza was very authentic Italian style. Friendly staff and fast service. Well worth the price. Definite recommend for any pizza lovers visiting Fowey.

Fantastic place with lovely staff and great pizzas! We had a seat on the terrace as the sun set and was amazing!

We stopped off just for a drink and enjoyed the view of the harbour. Spent a lovely few hours in Fowey before catching the ferry back to where our cars were parked.

A stunning find with beautiful views, fantastic service and the food is just phenomenal.....make sure you get the mozzarella - stunning! Also the cocktail selection is small but great! All in all fantastic and great for an evening meal!

If you're in Fowey then visit Bufala. Best pizza I have tasted since I went to Italy some years ago. Indoor & outdoor seating, such welcoming staff. Overall a great lunchtime experience!

Pizza's are very authentic, thin base so quite crispy, distinct Italian flavours, rounded with a nice glass of Merlot. Worth the excruciating drive through Fowey!!!

What a strange experience! Lovely pizza and will return. However there were more dogs, including one yappie thing and one that needed a good bath, than humans! Pizza 5, dogs 0

One of the best Pizzas I have ever eaten

Oh my goodness I think this might be the best pizza I've ever had! Treated ourselves to a takeaway (which we were told they sometimes do when they're quiet so I guess we were lucky!) and I'm so glad we did, it's really exceptional food and I can't wait to have it again one day.

Fabulous pizza, best I have had in a long time.

Oh What incredible pizzas and also did vegan and gluten free. We ate pizza looking out across the water. Wonderful place to eat. Highly recommend.

Really welcoming and friendly. We arrived just as they opened and got perfect seats outside. The pizza was amazing, they even do a fresh gluten-free option for my wife. The coffee was superb. Really can't fault them on anything.

Upon recommendation we visited this local pizza place in Fowey. All I can say is this place is an absolute gem. Didn’t have to wait long for an outside table over looking the harbour. Both of us had to try a cocktail, which my aperol spritz was the best I’ve ever had! My partner ended up having 3 negroni’s so I think that says how nice they were. Food was delicious. We shared some anti pasti before our pizzas came out. If you like thin pizza this is the place for you. If you still have room left, I must recommend the tiramisu, which was scrumptious. We will certainly come back in our next visit to Cornwall.

You can't book a table and you can't preorder take away. Fine. Arrive to get a couple of pizzas to be told "we aren't doing take away tonight, we're really busy and shirt staffed". Seriously, how much time would it take to put toppings on 2 pizzas and put them in the oven and then a box. Noticed they weren't turning away restaurant customers who wer egyzzling expensive cocktails whilst waiting for their food. If you're charging £15 per pizza, you need the service to go with it. They lost £40 of sales from me (would have bought puddings too) and £150 from the rest of our party later in the week.

Very friendly, good pizzas, great location, would go again

Lovely pizza place with an excellent drinks list. I went in for takeaway and had a spritz whilst I waited (only 15 mins). The wait for tables was longer on a busy August Friday night so be prepared. Staff were so polite and lovely and most importantly the pizzas they sell are delicious. Light chewy crust and no skimping on the toppings. 10/10 would pizza again.

Gorgeous drinks & food in stunning location

Nice antipasta and proper Italian pizzas, no table reservation policy which means you can get in unplanned if you are prepared to queue and there is a takeaway option.

Visited this place on a thursday night in peak season. Tables available, 30 mins before the advertised last orders time. Had to wait for the FOH manager to finish his lengthy chat about paddleboarding before bothering to glance in our direction and smile. Sadly when he did bother to speak to us, he insisted that two people couldn't be squeezed in because they were 'slammed'. Opting for plan b, we asked if we could do a takeaway, as he had mentioned serving 10 this night alone, only to be told we couldn't with no explanation. It baffles me how restaurants trying to get back on their feet aren't doing everything they can to take the business that walks through the door. Shutting at 8:30pm in peak holiday season in a key tourist town is beyond me...

Amazing pizzas, probably the best we've ever tasted. The tiramisu is amazing. We ate here twice in one week and would be back in a flash if we could. The staff are wonderful, so friendly.

Fab take out pizza from Bufala. Friendly staff. Top notch negroni while waiting. Top tip: get there early doors to avoid disappointment - it gets very busy!

Allergy's dont bother even asking if they can cater!!!! They clearly says on the bottom of the menu they cannot cater for any serious allergy, well what allergy isn't serious!!! This is discrimination of the 2 million people in the UK who suffer from food allergy's. 2 meals they lost out on.

Really nice little restaurant, great vibe at lunchtime, really nice attentive and personable staff, and fantastic food. Pizzas are a must but make sure you get a selection (all) of the starters. Loved it and want to be back there for every meal

I cannot fault this place. The pizzas and all sundries are excellent. So is the value for money and the quality of the service. I was especially taken with Amber the waitress. If I had a restaurant I'd poach her. I definitely would. Can't wait for more Bufala pizzas. Brilliant.

We had a table outside which was lovely. Ordered two garlic breads to share between four of us and three vegetarian pizzas and some pesto to dip the crust into as suggested. We also had the tiramisu and panna cotta. All of the food was super fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and gave us some advice regarding the dishes. Really enjoyed our meal here

Quick service and good pizzas. Although the knives and pizza cutters were blunt so it was quite a challenge to cut through the pizza!

Early lunch so as tempting as the whole burrata sounded, we ordered a simple pizza. Ultra thin, beautifully spiced and with a big hit of garlic it was a real treat. All topped off with a fantastic rocket and basil pesto to dip the crust into. Delicious. If you find yourself in Fowey, find your way here.

Service wasn't the best but the food was fantastic and the views top it off.

I will start off by saying the pizza was good, however service provided not so.... its my birthday weekend and first time in Cornwall , after many attempts of calling to try and book a table , with no luck we decided to walk down and get a table, we were met with welcome when we arrived. However after we settled down we noticed a table was going to be empty at the back terrace with a lovely sea view(that we noticed earlier on whilst on the self hire boat) after asking a member of staff I was told she would need to ask a manager (if its a policy that once seated they do not move tables ) why didn't the lady who I asked not know this POLICY? now fast forward..my pizza arrived , taste lovely and then I find a hair in my pizza...my other half has finished her pizza and mine has just arrived ..thank you for such a lovely birthday meal to remember at fowey..

Had a really pleasant evening here on the terrace last week. The staff are very friendly and attentive, along with the food being fabulous. While the pizzas were all delicious, the mushroom and truffle starter and the tiramisu for dessert were my highlights!

Ate here twice during our stay in Fowey and called in once for very early evening drink. Outside terrace just holds the sun into late afternoon / early evening. Good pizzas, good service, nice wines. Both occasions we managed walk in for the restaurent but that was because we went around 1800 - early for dinner but later would probably have needed a booking made days in advance. Great place.

Staff are very knowledgeable about the menu, which was easy adapted to make pizzas vegan. Very friendly staff and lovely dinner out

Bit pricey for 2 pizzas £30 mine was burnt on the bottom which was the over riding taste very hard to cut as very crispy . Staff were very efficient and friendly.

What a great find! A gorgeous restaurant with lots of seating and a view of the water at the back! I’m so glad we stumbled into this place unplanned, as it had the best pizzas we’ve had outside of Italy. The service is great, lovely views, plus is dog friendly! A real bonus for us and we’ll definitely be visiting again when we’re back in Fowey!

Really tasty thin crust pizza in a peasant Roman style. Lovely flavours. Garlic "bread" pizza dough a bit too crisp, but good dressing and salad leaves. Friendly and pleasant service. Amex accepted too.

Simple but very expensive £3 for 4 slices of sun dried tomato in a tiny glass bowl. It’s the only pizzeria in Fowey so will always do ok.

Came to Bufala for an evening meal during our stay in Fowey.We ordered a couple of the small starters and a couple of pizzas.I ordered the Carne and my partner ordered the Angelina. Both served on very think crispy bases, which for me is perfect. Ingredients and flavours on both pizzas second to none. Grea5 service through the meal.Bottle of wine with dinner very good. Would recommend and return.

We had to wait for a table which was fine. We were welcomed to the seating area to wait and a drink arrived very swiftly. Great start. We were shown to our table and from then on everything was a rush. Our food arrived very quickly, hardly any time between the starter and main, we were never offered another drink and the staff ran around continuously making it a very tense atmosphere. We know they want to turn tables quickly but they have to get the balance between this and allowing their customers to have an enjoyable meal.

Excellent pizza restaurant. Thin crust with high quality toppings. Best pizza I’ve had in some time. You can’t book which suited us as we hadn’t booked anywhere that evening. Wouldn’t recommend the £41 Valpolicella - stick to chianti etc. Great staff too 😊

Had high hopes when going; based on previous reviews on here. We were very disappointed...staff uninterested, no childrens menu and with only 2 high chairs (both being used) we had to have our 18 month old sat between us. Beer is served in wine glasses and a bellinni served in a standard tumbler... we found that very strange. Pizzas were standard and nothing to shout about....we were hoping for so much more! Staff were happy with our quick in and out dining...didnt want to get into conversation; customer service very poor.

We loved this little pizza place but it is under the sign for a pub so we actually walked right past it in the dark on a rainy night and only noticed it when we came back down the road. It's well worth searching out. They're doing a good job of managing social distancing. The pizza is fabulous and they sell wine by the carafe which is great for us as we're not big drinkers and a whole bottle is too much.

Good food and service but I think we were there at an awkward time because the doors to the balcony were open. Some early diners were out there but it made the restaurant decidedly chilly. It didn't spoil our meal and I said nothing to the Management team so I can't blame them for our minor discomfort.

Loveley quirky italian restaurant with fab vegan pizzas. We hadn't booked and popped in on the off chance that they could fit us in and what a pleasant surprise. Nice view onto the waterfront and because of the long room you can see outside from pretty much every table.Attentive staff, helpful with the menu. A must if you are visiting Fowey and need to stop for a meal.

Great setting for lunch overlooking the water. 2 thin and crispy pizzas ordered, 1 returned as very crispy having been burnt - but excellent replacement soon supplied. Shame about the surly staff member who proceeded to tell me that their pizzas were supposed to be thin and crispy. I refrained from adding, but not burnt making them extra crispy!! Needless to say no tip left.

Passing the door I looked in and could see the terrace so went in even though my wife is not the biggest pizza fan but ...The view is awesome but the food was even better , probably the best , authentic thin crust pizza we have had since in Rome. Cooked in minutes with such fresh toppingsEnjoyed with a good Prosecco our only regret was not being able to stay longer , we will be back

Great pizzas, excellent flavours and excellent friendly service. Limited menu, and the coffee and dessert choices are pretty limited too, but with pizzas this good I'll happily return. Hand sanitisers at various locations and tables set a little bit further apart, and a terrace straight onto the Fowey estuary. A great find.

We turned up late on a Sunday and the staff could not have been more welcoming - add to that the most fabulous and authentic cuisine and phenomenal customer service - an Italian jewel in the Fowey restaurant crown!!

At last a restaurant serving real Italian Pizza dishes using quality ingredients and cooked the way they should be. Great starters and the pizza bases where bang on. Go there!

Used to go to this venue all the time even it was the toll gate cafeSo on arrival today was going to have coffee but when you get a table with a view to die for it seemed churlish not to stop and have lunch instead. And what a great decision. We shared a vegan pizza and small bites. The flavours were amazing and good size portions too. Great food, great service, great everything. Can't wait to go back.
