Really enjoyed a very authentic feel to the food, it does not feel or taste commercialised, but a bit more personal and cared about.

The best Thai food so I recommend Som tam Thai and duck noodles soup make me brighter on my day ❤️❤️

The lady on the phone is absolutely spot on. Lovely to hear her speaking fluent thai to her aunty in the kitchen even though she has a solid native English accent! Authentic! Amazing food and lovely service. Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. We look forward to eating in soon with our family. Best Thai food for a long way round these ends you’ll struggle to beat the quality.

We had the Set menu which had a balanced selection and was delicious and plentiful - we asked for a doggy bag and we each had a small lunch the following day. We arrived bang on opening time they were very welcoming ...I think I would've like some Thai music ...I should've asked really.

PROS Food always nicely presented, well cooked and a well thought out home cooked menu, done brilliantly by Auntie. Very good value for money. Asian waitress has a lovely South London accent and speaks lovely Queen`s English. All the staff are happy friendly and super nice. Plenty of parking in the nearby car parks or bays down the road or side streets. Clean toilets with large litter bins for rubbish. Really lovely homely atmosphere. Best Thai restaurant within miles of Caterham. CONS. To close to home and so nice I keep going back for more.

Just had a fantastic meal here. It was hands up some of the best Thai food I’ve eaten (I’ve been to Thailand 11 times). Its was great that they had Som tam and morning glory dishes - something that you don’t find very often outside of Thailand. Every dish was full of flavour. Aside from the 2 dishes above, We had beef massaman, prawns with garlic and broccoli and vegetables, which were also fabulous. The owner was super friendly and it felt like we were in Thailand. We’ll definitely be back. Kapun ma ka Bua Thai!

The food was delicious and waitress me and my grandad had was so friendly the food was delicious, I would definitely come back again, I would also definitely recommend this place to people because it's really nice and friendly and the food is delicious and they get the food out so quickly what was amazing, everything about tonight was amazing!

I visit here quite often to meet a friend for dinner. The food is so tasty . I’m a vegetarian and it is wonderful to be able to have a brilliant meal. I firmly recommend this place. Staff are lovely too.

Lovely meal again in this little gem. Super service, food was tasty and quick to arrive over we had decided what we wanted from the extensive menu. Particularly enjoyed the tilapia in a sweet spicy peanut sauce and the soft shell crab special. Good support and options for our vegetarian memer of the party.

This place is well worth a visit, and that sauvignon is wonderful. The owner and staff are delightful.

Staff friendly, food, not as good as last time, service sluggish, but put this down to a large table. The owner/manager comes across as brash and cocky. We left £4 on a £40 bill and asked if we could add an extra £2 she snidely laughed and said forget it it’s not worth it, it will cost me more in tax. OK. We will not be returning! Very rude Her attitude was cocky and hostile restaurant interior could do with an update.

Really disappointed. First time ordering from here for delivery. Waited 45 minutes and the wrong order was sent. Had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the right one to come. Then when it did my order was wrong and had onion when I am allergic so had to wait again for them to send one. The food was not great for how expensive it was £90 for a family of 4 starter and main.

So last Saturday we ordered a meal for all of us, and the food (probably one of the nicest Thai red duck curries) was fantastic! Really good. The flavours were amazing. This evening, ordered the same and it was terrible. It was honestly as though it was cooked by a completely different restaurant!Maybe it was a one off, but we were a little disappointed.

The Bua Thai in Caterham Valley is just at the end of the row of shops going towards Whyteleafe, and we're very lucky to have such a great and authentic family run Thai restaurant in Caterham. The food is consistently wonderful and fresh and always nicely presented. Sallie and her team are always friendly and helpful too. If you've not tried Thai food before, think of it as a cross between Indian food, which is typically heavier, and Chinese food which can be gloopy and sometimes not the best quality; while Thai food is light and full of natural flavours. Bua Thai is definitely worth a visit.

Went to this restaurant after reading all the fantastic reviews. Alas for us it was very average and not as authentic as I had hoped. The dishes were fine just not as yummy as we had hoped. We had our usual Tom yum gai, beef salad, chicken panaeng, beef massamun, Pad thai, Coconut rice. The meal was expensive which we usually do not mind paying for IF it's worth it. We've not had Thai food in a long time so was really looking forward to the mouth watering flavours of the cuisine but compared to Max's thai in Wallington and Thai Pad in Oxted this was definitely not as good. The flavours just didn't have the same depth as we were use to. The biggest let down was the pad thai... just lacking in flavour. Staff were polite and courteous but think we will stick to Thai Pad in Oxted which I would say is although more expensive, it is definitely worth the money.

The staff were very pleasant but the food portions were ridiculously huge & we had to waste so much, which we hate doing.

Absolutely brilliant. Lovely attentive staff (Sally in particular was amazing), excellent food served hot, and really reasonable prices as well. We had the set meal of 2 courses for £12.50 offered Thursday to Sunday lunchtime and it was really good value for money. Covid measures in place, very clean and easily accessible for my elderly parents - will definitely return.

We enjoyed a lovely evening here - attentive service and delicious food! After recently moving to the area, we have been looking to explore more local restaurants and thai cuisine is an absolute favourite of ours - very happy to say that we will definitely be returning! We tried the prawn toast & duck spring rolls for starter (don't forget the mixed crackers) - all amazing. As well as red Thai curry and a duck curry special for main!! Highly recommend you try this restaurant 😍

During these crazy times people are very unsure whether to venture out for dinner. Please let me reassure you! Sallie and her mum have done everything they can to make it a safe environment to enjoy your meal. At all times a safe distance was maintained. We used hand sanitiser when we arrived and Sallie explained the measures she has implemented. All that aside....One of the best Thai's we have had. The food is fresh, hot and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly, chatty and helpful! It was Just a really lovely evening, and can’t wait for another visit. No complaints at all!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I called to make an order, the lady proceeded to tell me that it will be an hour wait until the food is ready, I confirmed this was okay and she repeatedly asked again if I was sure. When we came to pick up we were given our food, one of the orders were incorrect and there was a missing dish which they couldn't confirm as they had lost our order?!? we waited an extra 50 minutes on top of the hour wait and we were not the only ones. there was a gentleman who was there before us who was not even close to getting his order. After the inconvenience the lady who handled our order mentioned she will deduct the rice out of order as a gesture of good will, no surprise this was not deducted. When we arrived food was stone cold and bland. I would not recommend and we will not be going back.

Went for a late birthday lunch with my mother and grandmother. Tables brightly lit, decor somewhat ornate and clean. It was empty so we were seated straight away. Food was hot and appropriately spiced (not too much). Lunch menu was reasonably priced with a starter (I had Chicken Satay, three piece, dip was suitably nutty; their tempura-battered shrimp "was lovely") and a main course from a restricted menu of mostly rice and one noodle dish with a choice of meats. Server was patient and answered questions when ordering and was kind enough to switch to Drunken Noodle sauce for my order (the dish was not on the lunch menu), and boxed my grandmother's Pad Thai to take when she couldn't finish. Paid ~£45 for three, inc. drinks and my dessert. I wouldn't go for that bombe again, the orange tasted artificial, but it arrived correctly frozen and presented well, like all dishes. Deserves more traffic at lunch!

From a scale of 1 - 5 I give it a solid 10, food was authentic and tasted great, service by the whole team was amazing, I recommend everyone try it. I personally am going back.

This is by far my favourite Thai restaurant. This is my number 1 go to place for thai food. Nice and cozy place to eat. The service from staff is 10/10.

The restaurant's food is extremely similar to that which I had in Koh Lanta back in 2011. It's delicious!

Not really to sure about the authenticity of this establishment, I love Thai food, but my experience (which can only be based on my experience on this visit) was that everything came across a bit generic and catering more for face value, over true value. From the decor which was pleasent if anything a bit ott, but not unique or authentic in my eyes, to the menu which had many spelling mistakes (not sure if this was intentional as every page seem to be littered with errors) everything just felt a bit off. I asked if cranberry juice was available, as it was not on the menu, which the waitress went to check, for the reply to be "we've run out", it's not a major issue but if it's not on the menu, it's not on the menu, so theres no need to be dishonest to save face. It shows respect for your business to stay true to itself. All starters came well presented, which me and my partner both enjoyed, nice and hot food is always a good thing lol. She was especially raving about how good her soup was. Garnish looked well presentable but didn't look appetising enough to eat, as it looked plastic to me. Both of us felt let down by our main dishes. The beef dish I choose had a little chilli symbol next to it so I was expecting it to have some form of spice to it......... Zero fire on my tongue, but it did have a nice flavour to it. Pad Thai (Pud Thai on the menu which I've never seen spelt this way) had a very sweet flavouring to it, which is more fitting of a dessert according to my partner, she was unable to finish this as a result. The mixed vegetables we ordered also had a sweetness to them, which I didn't mind, but that and the pud Thai were not a happy combination for my partner. Which leads me on to my steamed rice, this was probably the worst rice I've had in a restaurant, steamed rice should be soft and fluffy, not clumping or have hard grains of rice in it, the only bonus was it came piping hot. Dessert came, which again I felt a bit disappointed by. Banana fritters with ice cream, the banana came with some form of cream to them, in my experience bananas go soft, sweet, mushy and hot when fried or cooked. The outer batter was nice and crispy but the bananas just didn't work for me. Ice cream was nice but again pretty generic. Not a very good experience for me or my partner, so I can't see us going back any time again.

Good food and a friendly atmosphere at a sensible price. The staff are attentive and very polite and just seem to appear at the right time. The portions don't look huge, but my wife and I have been there several times now and never felt disappointed it underfed. It's good to know that your local Thai is a good one.
