The best pasta I've ever had outside of Italy! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and quick service too

We had the most fabulous experience. Travelling from Portsmouth back to Essex from a very emotional Funeral we needed a break and found this wonderful Restaurant. We were made to feel so welcome and at home. The service was exceptional as was the food. Thank you to all concerned to making a difficult day a little easier.

Me and my group felt as if we were being bullied by the staff. All pointing at us. Made us feel awkward and uncomfortable. Food and atmosphere was nice however I simply cannot comprehend the way they were treating us. The staff huddled together whispering about us and other tables I would assume.

Food was lovely but a bit oily, but the employees was a whole different experience. they made us feel uncomfortable and we could see they were obviously whispering about us, pointing and staring. They made us feel unwelcome and unwanted.

I go to Cucina frequently because of the food, service and atmosphere. I went last night with my nephew who has a dairy allergy. The staff could not have been more helpful repeatedly checking what the allergy was and checking with the kitchen that the food was safe for my nephew. Though the meal a number of staff checked with us that everything was OK both with him and the rest of our group. I couldn't fault anything about the staff, food or restaurant. They get it right every time.

We have been to this restaurant many times and every time I can't fault it in any way! The food and drink, the atmosphere and the service are fantastic! Well worth the money you pay and I would thoroughly recommend it.

What an amazing restaurant. The food is 10/10. Cooked to perfection! We had a lovely starter followed by a fish and pasta dish. Superb quality and fresh. The desserts were amazing. Can’t fault this place for their amazing food and service.

You really need to book in advance! Nice restaurant. Friendly and attentive service. Good selection of tasty Italian food, fish and vegan options. Sunday menu is 2 courses for £17. Attentive service and lots of water on that table, so they aren't pushing alcohol. Generous portions, so 3 courses is a challenge. Great Sunday 2 course Sunday menu. £16/person. We didn't make the dessert menu as we were full. Good wine selection included by the glass options. Expect £7/glass We had an excellent meal for 3 for under £55 including drinks. Very popular so don't forget to book

Lively Italian Restaurant on the High Street. We went with friends on a Sunday evening for dinner. Great value set two course menu. Plenty of choice. Vegetarian option also. Very lively atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. We would most definitely return next time around.

Very impressed on our first visit. It was busy ( Valentines Day) but service was quick. We went for the lunch menu, a main and a choice of a beer, wine or soft drink, for £13.50. I assumed the portions would be modest but they were very generous. My pasta dish was delicious, so flavoursome. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we will definitely go again.

Five of us went to Cucina's for lunch today with an age difference of 6 years to 76 years and wanted it to be enjoyed by everybody, I shouldn't have been concerned, as always Cucinas came up trumps! It's hard to decide whether the service or the food was the Star! Well, ok, not really! The Lasagne I had was exceptional the Linguine my colleague had, he raved about. Everything about the evening was 5star+.

Cucina in Oxted is fantastic! The food is absolutely 10/10—full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service is just as impressive, with friendly and attentive staff who make you feel right at home. A perfect spot for a memorable meal—highly recommend!

Went here with friends and family for a catchup and a well needed break from cooking over Christmas. Went on Monday 30th Dec expecting it to be fairly quiet....couldnt be more wrong the restaurant was full, 8pm on a Monday. They must be doing something right. Staff were attentive to every need and we never felt rushed or just left there waiting to order. Food was extremely good and the Sliced Steak with rocket and parmesan was just what I needed after roast dinners through Christmas. All the food that the 7 of us had was equally as fantastic and left us content and all saying what a great meal that was. It isnt the cheapest at £52 per head for 3 courses and a couple of beers but where is this day and age, especially with this quality. Definitely book as if it is this busy on a Monday between Christmas and New Year I can only imagine over weekends. Can recommend Cucina strongly enough and will definitely be going back as there are so many things on the menu I want/need to try

The website allowed us to book for Christmas Eve on their normal menu, but they then called us a few weeks later to say that we could not book for that time unless we had their festive menu. Poor service and very disappointing.

Really enjoy coming to this restaurant, however it loses a star for the bathroom, which I really hope they have plans to redo soon!

The restaurant communicated our booking well leading up to the meal which was for a large party. The staff serving in the restaurant (and preparing the food) are fantastic, very quick to take a drinks order and get them out to the table and then food arrives in good time and great quality. Consistently excellent!

We booked for Sunday lunch to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We had a table for10 including our grandchildren,a nine month old and a four year old. The ambiance in the restaurant was lovely and warm as was the service. The little ones were well catered for and the adults had an amazing three course meal. The food came quickly and was excellent quality and quantity. We had a perfect lunch with our closest family and would recommend to anyone who enjoys Italian food. Simply fabulous experience

It was very busy but true italian service and authentic staff and food . Pasta and pizza were authentic and also so delicious. Definitely recommend going there and we are we are definitely coming back.

This is a favourite of mine. We are blessed with plenty of lovely restaurants in Oxted but Cucina is a real gem. Properly good food, reasonably priced. It's always busy and vibrant. The lunch deal is fab!

Visited this restaurant twice in September. Both times the food has been incredible. Service from waiters/waitresses is great. Unfortunately, on our second visit we were really let down on the service by who I assume is the manager. We had a party of 14 people and whilst we were awaiting our desserts the manager asked if he could bring the bill over. We politely said we were still waiting on our desserts. Our desserts arrived and we were half way through eating and he came over a second time again asking if he could bring the bill. We said that we were still eating our dessert to which he said “yes, but I can still bring you the bill, that doesn’t mean you have to pay yet”. We were a large table ordering food and alcoholic drinks so bringing in a good amount of cash for them too (not that it matters). It was such a shame that such a fabulous meal was ruined by a manager just set on getting our table of 14 to pay up, didn’t care at all about our experience and celebrations, but wanted to free up further room for more people.

I was meeting an old friend here and we had a lot to catch up on. The staff were friendly and efficient: they didn’t rush us either with ordering or eating. They were polite, observant and efficient. They recommended an excellent wine to accompany our fish kebabs (which were absolutely delicious 🤤). It was a Monday evening, when normally most eateries would struggle to fill up their seats. We arrived soon after opening but very soon the place was packed with every table taken - a testament to a really good restaurant. Even though it was full, the clientele were making quiet conversation so it was perfectly possible to speak to each other and be heard! cannot rate Cucina highly enough and will certainly be returning. 👍

The food here has never been outstanding, it’s good hearty fare and hits the spot, but as I sat crammed in, eating a mediocre supper I had a pang of sadness that greed seems to have got a hold of the place. I could hear the couple next to me clearly, every word, so close we were knocking elbows. They have two or even three sittings and it all feels so rushed. A very different place to even a year ago, and a world away from the lovely atmosphere of its early years.

Very very good food indeed. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. Fantastic pizza and pasta selection. Very friendly staff, especially towards children! Only reason for the lower points is that the baby changing is in the female toilets. 21st century!! This needs to change!! What if I was out alone with the children! Doesn’t take American Express, has high chairs. Delicious food.

This is an excellent local restaurant, it is always well supported. This is my elderly father in law's favourite eatery. The staff always make a fuss of him. The food is always great and the prices are very competitive. Very attentive and friendly Staff. Highly recommended.

Great food, decent value for money all round. The Sunday menu is worth a visit due to the deal the restaurant has of starter + main for a set price with a good selection. Atmosphere can be a little noisy, and can get very busy, but it shows its popularity. Friendly and cheery staff as well.

Casual and friendly restaurant with really good food. It was very busy the evening I went, but the atmosphere was buzzy without being intrusive or overly loud. All the staff were charming. Both my pasta and dessert were very good.

Had a great lunchtime menu meal. Great value. Staff were excellent not only efficient but friendly as well. Had a bit of a hiccup with drinks but was sorted directly a d wihout a fuss. Catered for all age groups. Atmosphere was lively which upset some other people in the restaurant but our small group thought it was ideal. Will definitely be going there again. Recommended.

Arrived in the middle of the torrential downpour last week. Coats taken promptly and shown to our table. Drinks brought with an apology that there could be a delay due to the rain. Eventually had to abandon meal as kitchen flooded. Staff were lovely as it wasn’t their fault that there was a cloudburst! Hope to be back soon.

I had a wonderful vegan meal at Cucina Italiana I was so delighted when Nuno, the lovely Portugese manager, produced a whole separate vegan menu when I told him I was vegan when we first arrived! I can recommend the delicious Mushroom Risotto followed by gorgeous sorbet for dessert. Great service and atmosphere too. My new fave restaurant! 😀

I ate at Cucina last night with an old friend, who happens to be vegan. She was delighted to find they have a separate vegan menu - you have to ask for it. Both of us were so happy to find the restaurant is a vibrant, friendly place with delicious food and fabulous service. The new manager was very welcoming and made sure we had the best evening. The staff were efficient and friendly. We will definitely be returning. Please book ahead - this was a Wednesday evening and it was pretty full inside and outside! I can’t praise this restaurant enough.

Recent visit with friends this is a very good Italian restaurant and very handy for parking and access and large carpark to the rear, food is just excellent had the gamberoni starter which was excellent, my friend had the arancini which is his favourite hence us all going in the first place, penne Al polo for main washed down with bottled moretti, so 10 out of 10 for food, I will say though is it's very busy and lots of people, so i found it noisy but food quality very good. Service is a tad slow but you'd expect that with so many people, nice waiter very friendly so on a whole we'll worth a visit for good food we will be going again..

It's good but could be better. Cucina is a very popular restaurant and I have never seen it quiet. However unlike real Italian restaurants the experience is a little too rushed for my liking. This rushed feeling begins when you book and are told that your table is only available for 1.5 hours, so you're instantly feeling the pressure. Service is warm and welcoming in the true Italian way but again too quick. No sooner had I taken my first sip of the tasty Montepulciano and our starters were hurriedly placed before us. The main course came before our starter plates had even been removed! However the server was lovely and it wasn't her fault but this felt very awkward. As my photo shows the goats cheese starter was a bit thin on the ground with rocket so presentation was poor. Could have done with more chutney too! So the starter was disappointing. Otherwise the main and dessert were good although the dessert came out literally one minute after I had ordered it! I could have used 5 minutes to begin to digest my main and clear the palate. In summary, Cucina is a pleasant Italian style restaurant and is popular - particularly for special occasions as the repeated rounds of 'Happy Birthday' testify. However, this beautiful and friendly restaurant needs to slow down a tad and think about the little details that make dining great for the customer. Such attention to detail will help to maintain it's reputation and to maintain it untarnished.

We are visiting from the U.S. during our travel, we stumbled on this wonderful restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is just as amazing. Molly, in particular, was wonderful and charming.

This is a fantastic restaurant! The service is quick and pleasant, the atmosphere is friendly and quaint, and the food is Devine. An experience worth traveling for. Molly was our server and she was fun.

We went to Gucina on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch after swimming. Although we had no prior reservation the staff were lovely and polite and we were sat promptly. It was pretty busy so definitely recommend to book ahead of time. The menu is rich with starters, pasta, pizzas and more and they have a children’s menu, too. My partner ordered the vegan pasta, I had margarita pizza and our little one had tomato sauce spaghetti. It was all delicious and very authentic. There are a few vegan options, but it’d be great to see a few more plant based meals. We’ll definitely come back again.

What in earth has happened? I realise you lost your much loved manager, but really? I booked for my 22 son and his girlfriend, who have both visited many times before, for 7pm. They rocked up at 6.45 for a drink, was asked for ID! (Seriously), was rushed to order on the table and was told at 7.20 that they needed to hurry up! They would have had a wonderful anniversary dinner but were back home in an hour! Not good at all. Disappointed to say the least.

The best Italian restaurant we’ve been to. From the welcome to us leaving was fantastic. Food was amazing - freshly made & cooked perfect al dente and hot. The Tiramisu was to die for!!! Definitely worth the 30 minute drive. Will definitely be going back.

Visited here today for my daughter’s birthday. Food was excellent with loads of choice. The lunch menu offer of a main dish and drink is really good value. Ambience is great. My only criticism today was we felt a bit rushed. Waiters were a bit too quick to take plates away for it not to feel that they were trying to get the table freed up. We had 3 courses and coffee and were only there an hour and a minute! But, this wouldn’t stop me returning.

I’ve been going to this restaurants for years, it’s one of my favourites. I went for my birthday, families birthdays & it’s great for date night too. It has a warm atmosphere & the food is always delicious. They have great vegetarian options & the service i can’t fault.

Awesome. Finally found an Italian which does great food(the chicken was both soft and well seasoned) AND amazing service. The staff at the last couple Italian places I've been to should have been working in a morgue. But this lot were lively and happy! The restaurant was clean(including the toilets. Which is a big deal. 😉😅), the food came quickly and it was a good portion size, while also being well presented. All the staff were excellent. Rare that a server actually seems like they enjoy being there. There are plenty of places that do good food. But the experience is key. And price was surprisingly reasonable. If you're thinking about going here. Don't think. Just go. Sorprendente! 🤘🏽 👌🏽

The perfect day. We sat on the terrace for lunch and the food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly and made my birthday so special! Cucina Italian Restaurant was the perfect spot to celebrate our friend's baby shower! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating to our large group. The service was fantastic, with our food arriving promptly and everything tasting absolutely delicious. Overall, Cucina provided a wonderful experience that made the baby shower truly special.
