Found this lovely cafe and popped in the team were wonderful service was amazing and food was too will be back definitely recommended.

Absolutely lovely, fantastic welcome from charming staff, lovely food (not expensive) and wonderfully equipped for young children. It was tip top!!

I have usually jacket potatoe with beans and vegan sarnie. I am very impressed with the quality of the food, very tasty

Brilliant cafe, I travel quite a lot, and this reminded me of my hometown, so so much. Fantastic choices of hot drinks, soft drinks and food. My friend joining me had no clue what Bubble n Squeak was, and the staff offered and proceeded to cook a small bowl up for him to try, free of charge. I will be returning here, when my trips take me to/through York!

What a gorgeous find! Amazing atmosphere - warm and welcoming. Delicious food, and wonderful people. I felt right at home and was looked after beautifully. Can't wait to be back!

Great English Breakfast as always

Lovely little cafe and coffee shop, only stopped in for a hot drink but the atmosphere is lovely and the owners/managers are super friendly, will definitely visit again for a snack.

Absolutely superb lunch at this fabulous café in York. Sweet potato and ginger soup was the best I’ve ever tasted and The vegan flapjack was wonderful. Not enough superlatives, this is a gem of a place. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff.

Found this amazing little cafe when searching for a yummy vegan breakfast online for our trip to York for my 30th Birthday! What an absolutely perfect breakfast we had, from the gorgeous bubble and squeak, to the one of a kind iced latte and the friendly service. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived and I have to say it is the vegan breakfast we have ever had and my favourite iced latte! We will be back whenever we visit York again! Definitely would recommend!

Found this today by chance, and I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious, and the staff were very welcoming even though they were busy. Will definitely be going back on future visits to York

A great little find! Tucked down an alley we found this little gem by chance. We had coffee and scones which were delicious. Looking at the menu they had some great lunch offerings too so we will be back! Great service and a relaxed vibe in the cafe, thank you!!

Favourite cafe in York. Great bacon butties, good coffee and cakes, all served with a smile by the lovely staff. Tucked away down an alley but worth looking for.

This was a chance find when it started to rain. It is great! The staff were friendly, my little boy was given an age appropriate toy to play with as soon as we sat down. I saw older children offered "connect for" and drawings to do. The food was delicious. They said that as they were really busy the food would be delayed, but actually it came out really quickly.

Just THE BEST brunch in York. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and outstanding coffee. If you are in York and looking for a great cafe, this is the place. Cannot recommend enough.

A cosy little side street cafe in York, wonderfully attentive 2 ladies in there, food and drink at very reasonable prices too, more of these and less of the big Corp places please!

Fell upon this after avoiding the queue at Bettys at noon. Still a queue here but only waited about ten minutes, staff came out with menu for us to look at and place order (if we wanted to) to avoid a wait inside. As it happened a table for two became available so we ordered inside. The scrambled eggs were so tasty. Hubby had a breakfast which looked great and he said tasted really good. Friendly staff, plenty of choice and lovely coffee. Very calm atmosphere even though full and busy. Will definitely go back when we visit York again. 😊👍🏼

Just the loveliest little hidden gem in york ,me and my husband visit regularly ,the cafe is spotlessly clean staff are so friendly ,the foods just as you'd expect ,and scones to die for ! Felt lucky enough on a busy Christmas satirday to get a table as we thought it would be just too busy with visitors ,but we were so lucky to get a cosy table for 2 for a warm latte before escaping the craziness !!! Thank-you to the owner who males tou feel like old friends whenever we're in ,and for yesterdays kind gesture, Merry Christmas to you all x

Amazing cafe 😊 Found by chance and what a find it was! Amazing lovely personal service. Nothing too much trouble ! Catered for both us parents and the kids! Would deffo recommend ! Day out in York. Looking for somewhere to eat we noticed the sign for this little cafe. Its so busy you can queue for a table, but we were lucky and there was 1 table for 2. Table service, its not fast food, so there is a wait, but this is freshly prepared, to requirements food. Hubby has scrambled egg on toast. Loads of flavour in the eggs and cooked the way he liked them. I had the potato and leek soup. They dont skimp on their orders. Would highly recommend this lovely, friendly cafe with excellent food. We didnt sample the cakes as we were full, but they are ENORMOUS and made on site.

Did some research from our hotel room the night before to find this amazing place! Wonderful breakfast, amazing staff and very accommodating with our little girl which made the experience much more fun. Thank you for making us feel welcome and thank you for a proper full English breakfast. We will definitely revisit on our next trip to York

We were looking for a cafe to stop and have a coffee and a bite to eat. This little gem can be easily missed and I spotted it as we stood at the end of the street it resides on. Beautiful place and excellent priced food . The staff are first class for hospitality. We will be visiting again definitely +++++

The staff are bloody lovely. My friend and I went off in search of the cute little cafe experience and we got it. Perfect little spot for a rainy day. We had a sandwich and a panini with a milkshake each. The food and drinks were “divine” said my friend, multiple times. Again, the staff Made the perfect atmosphere for the kick off to our holiday. Great cafe tucked down a side street. But still in the middle of York. Lovely full English breakfast. Nice ladies and a warm welcome on a rainy day. Coffee was good too. We shall make it our regular stop for breakfast or brunch or for one of their tasty cheese scones. Why go to Costa when you can visit a clean, looked after and friendly small business doing a fabulous job?

What a wonderful way to start our adventures in York. The place is tucked down a little alleyway but with seeking out. They are very welcoming and attentive. We had great food and felt very well looked after. Shared a table with the loveliest couple. This feel like an authentic local place and there are just not enough good things I can say other than I’d be happy to spend more time here with the lovely staff and another flat white. :)

What a gem! This place has to be one of the best child and dog friendly places in York. Very busy with many being turned away but helpfully given the option of returning to a reserved table a short time later. The food was very good with Mrs S saying her chicken, bacon and Mayo toasted sandwich was the best she had ever had (and she’s had a few!). All very fresh, quality food. Excellent coffee and hot chocolate. We will definitely return next time in York.

Late breakfast on first day of weekend in York. Staff can’t do enough and food and drinks good portions of quality. Pretty basic so nothing fancy or offbeat but just what we wanted at the time.

What a smashing little cafe we were greeted immediately as we entered by very pleasant staff shown to a table where we ordered 2 full English breakfasts and 2 bacon sandwiches tea and coffee, whilst waiting on our order we were given a lovely plate...

Amazing cake and a lovely atmosphere. The staff are freind let and the cafe, tucked down a side street, has a warm and homely feel to it. You wouldn't guess that you are in the middle of a busy tourist spot.

Oh my goodness what a great find whilst out with my 2 year old today! The staff really couldn’t do enough for us, and even tailored a meal just for my little girl with all her favourite foods. Such a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning!

Gem of a cafe, they serve the best lattes in York, the coffee beans are made locally, (I think they are from "the dancing goat" company) sorry if I got that wrong, the lattes were hot, tasty and served in a mug, lovely! We had a slice of the carrot cake too, delicious! A 5-10min wait to get a table but that's not surprising, it's very popular. The servers were polite, prompt, well presented and really friendly.

Always great food and great service. A very nice off the beaten track gem of a place that I can happily recommend.

Two of us popped in for breakfast late morning on a Sunday, the staff are very friendly and the cafe was really clean. During our breakfast (which was amazing) various sized groups came in and the staff went above and beyond to try and accommodate them. I will definitely be going back again.

Well worth seeking out. Bright airy friendly relaxed independent cafe. Good food attentive staff. A welcome escape from the crowds and queues around the main beats.

Fantastic little café with friendly and helpful staff. The brownie I had was absolutely amazing, one of the proper gooey ones. The BLT was very nicely presented with nice sized portions and fresh salad. Both iced coffee and cappuccino were lovely. A little hidden gem!
