Brightside Roadside Dining Honiton in East Devon

You have revolutionised our regular drives to Cornwall! Our dog being welcome inside is a game changer for pit stops on the A303, as well as opening until 9pm, as we often travel in the evening. Delicious, varied menu and second to none kids choices. Lovely service, awesome 70s decor and spotless toilets.

We needed some lunch and this place looked good from the road as lots of parking The restaurant and toilets were spotlessly clean My husband had an all day breakfast ( @ 13.30) and I chose the chicken burger The size of the meal defeated him !! Friendly staff combined with freshly cooked food quickly served made it a great experience

We went to brightside diner tonight whilst travelling home from holiday.The food was delicious,for mains I had the beef brisket burger with chips,the burger was so tasty,the beef patty was delicious and well cooked,also the cheese,bacon,beef brisket and everything else that was in there really added taste and enhanced the burger.Also chips to the side were really delicious too.I added halloumi chips to it too and it tasted delicious,love the sauce on it tasted really nice and had a nice not showy offy kick.Also the halloumi itself was really nice as well and I loved the bit at the bottom too that was delicious.The Eton mess sundae was really delicious and I loved the soft serve vanilla ice cream,tasted delicious and really good quality.Also I loved the freeze dried fruit,meringue and popping candy too.Also service was great too really friendly and efficient.Love the 70s decor so so nice and the music choices were amazing too,hit after hit!Also it was quiet and had a nice atmosphere too.Had so many gluten free options.Toilets and the restaurant were nicely decorated and immaculate.Another thing that is a big bonus of brightside is that there are two instavolt chargers and has a petrol station so that is really convenient and for sure brings loads of business to brightside!Brightside is such a lovely restaurant and I would love to see a new brightside in the following locations Bristol(Cribbs Causeway)where the old Chiquitos was,Hull(where the old chiquitos was),High Wycombe(next door to the Omniplex cinema),Beaconsfield services and Ickenham(where the soldiers return pub used to be and have a little brightside b&b).I would highly recommend this place

Not been in here since it was the new cott chef. Alway in a hurry to get to Cornwall. This time we we’re hungry after looking for a new car near by and daughter was hungry drove in nice bright and clean from outside, walked in spotless and a warm welcome. Choice and value of food Brilliant I had meat feast pizza Brilliant daughter lover her sausage beans chips along with my wife’s chicken burger meal. Side order of halloumi fries delicious. The milkshakes absolutely Brilliant. My dad always says if the toilets are clean you can’t go wrong, the green old skool hand basins quality and were spotless clean

Had used this place as a pit stop between our home in Cornwall and family in Berkshire for years (A303 diner) but not since it became Brightside. Wow, it's amazing. Clean, brilliantly refurbished and super clean facilities. Such a friendly greeting too, then shown to our table. Excellent, quick service. We both ordered the dirty burger with a brew and it was served quickly and hot and it was delicious. Probably one of the best burgers I've had in years! Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and we left a tip for excellent service too. We will be travelling up and back quite regularly over the next few months so will definitely call in again.

We had amazing service and the breakfast is one the best we have had. We stopped to have breakfast when we were travelling down to Cornwall for my wifes 50th birthday. She was treated fantastic by the staff which was amazing. We definitely recommend stopping here if you can.

I stopped for a quick charge at the Instavolt ev chargers next door. The cafe was open, I needed to use the lavatory. I was made very welcome, after using their facilities I ordered a coffee to take away. I have no experience of the food quality but the welcome by the staff was excellent and reflects the statement they make of bringing back good customer service. Thank you

Friendly service from when we went in to when we left. Been past this diner many times but the first time we have eaten there. Lovely selection of food at very reasonable prices. Great atmosphere with attentive staff. Well done to you all! We will be back!

Another fantastic visit to this fabulous diner. Quirky decor, friendly service and lovely food. Booked on- line for brunch for 8 people on the morning of New Year’s Eve. A hearty thumbs up from young and old alike. Got us reminiscing about roadside diners of old!

Superb retro feel diner. Great friendly welcome and good hearty food at fair prices. That along with a super 125kw Ev charge station in the car park makes this our number one stop in the area.

This place is amazing, great food including Vegan and gluten free options and wonderful staff. The whole experience was brilliant, will definitely be back.

Incredibly welcoming, spotlessly clean and simple good fast breakfast food on Christmas Eve - I’d forgotten what a good roadside chain felt like but now I remember! Well done. I don’t know what you’re paying your team in Honiton or who is training them, but they are worth every penny.

Friendly helpful staff. The A303 was crawling along, floods everywhere on 7 December. Decided to pull in here for a break. Friendly staff knew where the hold up (flood) was and told us they knew it was still passable. Had tea and garlic bread as a break from driving. If we had realised how large the garlic bread was (whole pizza base with mozarella) we would have shared one.
