We stopped here by chance as we had been delayed. We were a family party of eight adults. The staff went out of their way to fit us in and look after us. We had a combination of Jacket potatoes. sandwiches, cakes and homemade scones with clotted cream and Jam. I had the crab sandwich made with fresh whole meal bread filled with crab the freshest side salad and loveliest dressing. This review is late because I've been ill since returning from Cornwall but couldn't not review this amazing venue and highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic early lunch on a rainy day however Bridge Hkuse Tea rooms did not disappoint with its warm welcoming atmosphere, with outdoor heaters and enormous parasols and blankets. Quite lovely sat warm and cosy despite the rain. Our lunch was wonderful. Generous tasty portions and so much choice. A welcome change not to see any chips or burgers on the menu. I'd have loved a cream tea which I witnessed come out of the kitchen but could not manage another bite after my mammoth jacket potato and salad Lovely staff. Fantastic value for money.

Called in after a walk from Tintagel as it so inviting and out of the wind! Service was excellent friendly and welcoming. Ordered a sandwich and cake amazing! Only downside was we had to leave and walk back to Tintagel! Enjoyed it so muck we repeated it again two days later. A few larger establishments could learn a lot about customer service by visiting here. 5/5

Visiting Boscastle and popped into the Bridge House for a coffee and cake but ended up ordering sandwiches instead. One crab sandwich, one giant fish finger sandwich and they were absolutely delicious. Two huge, fresh fish, fish fingers in lovely fresh bread and it was accompanied by the most amazing salad. The crab sandwich was packed with fresh crab meat, the same lovey soft bread and salad. A great place to eat if you are in the area and very, very reasonably priced. Staff were so lovely and very friendly too. A lovely little place, very much recommend it. A definite visit again soon for us.

We went for afternoon tea, my husband and I shared a cream tea and the boys had cake and a drink. The cake and scones were superb. We were made to feel very welcome, even the dog was given a treat on arrival. As we left the boys were given a chocolate sweet so they felt special. Wish we had gone earlier in the day for lunch. Good value.

We stopped here for an afternoon Cornish cream tea and weren't disappointed. There were a couple of options and we went for the pot of tea (decaf) for 1 and the 2 scones option - 1 plain, 1 fruity. Bridge house has a nice 'feel' to it. Staff were so pleasant and friendly. there were four in our party and we all opted for the sandwich choice. Goodness me what a surprise we all had when the food was delivered. Huge slices of granary bread with copious amounts of filling. We all had different fillings and everyone was happy. We had to go and walk part of the coastal walk after the lunch to work off some of the calories. We did not stay in the B and B - however I am sure it will be just as good as the experience we had for lunch.

Due to all the restaurants being fully booked in Boscastle Richard even went out of his way to find us a nice place to eat in the next town. The rooms here are lovely and decorated in a beautiful Cornish theme. We booked the ‘snug’ room here which Louise advised us pre booking, was slightly smaller than the standard rooms but we loved it; it really was snuggly and perfect for our 3 nights.Breakfast is amazing!! And despite me having dietary issues: Louise strived to accommodate these and served up a perfect beautiful breakfast exactly as I desired. We also had lunch at their tea rooms which was lovely and the freshly baked scones served are absolutely gorgeous. Absolutely appalling. Ordered two standard cooked dinner, not small dinner's. We were served 3 tiny potatoes. To pay £9.95 for a dinner that small is a rip off. Barley any gravy. The women who served us was mid 50s. Didn't look, ask what veg nothing. Just served the smallest plate of dinner. I was actually embarrassed, it was the size of a starter on a sit down meal. She doesn't own the cafe so why serve the portion so small. Do not order the cooked dinner. Shouldn't be allowed to serve a dinner that size. Two women behind ordered the small dinner and had the same amount as us. Never will return. Should refund.

Very much overpriced and my fish and chips were undercooked and soggy very gross will not return don’t recommend to anyone I expected It to cost maybe £8-£9 but no £12.50 I think maybe more than that and the wait was ages went in to collect it and the staff were rude and unhelpful and I was given no cutlery and had to pay for sauces Then I opened the box up outside and it was all soggy and a strange colour very off putting almost looked raw Just ended up eating some of the chips

We are for lunch at 1:15. Wanted something simple so we ordered Ham Egg and chips x 2. Served by very polite staff. When our meal arrived we were sadly disappointed. Chips were freshly cooked. But, the ham was cut so thin you could see the plate through it. One slice, I don’t think that they could buy cheaper. The eggs looked like they had been leftover from breakfast and wormed up under the grill. Not a good experience at all. What a shame could and should have been a simple enjoyable lunch, it wasn’t. Lesson learned.

I have been to The Oxford many times and it never disappoints. The landlady is very nice and friendly and so are the regulars. Every time I've gone in here I've had a laugh. Everyone seems to talk to each other, even if they don't really know you, which I like. It is decorated nice and toilets are always clean. They have a fire inside which is very cosy in winter. Overall, lovely, warm and friendly pub.
