Well worth a visit nice varied menu we had the Sunday roast lamb which was excellent. Lovely friendly service in a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Having just visited White Elm Farm at Bicknacre we decided to try to find a pub for a late lunch. There was 4 of us. Myself, my daughter and 2 children aged 7 and 3. The Drunken Dragon was local so we thought we would give it a try. My grandson who is 7 is milk intolerant and soya intolerant. The waitress was absolutely amazing and the chef Bill came to our table to discuss with us different options for for my grandson.- both were so kind and considerate. The food was really nice and reasonably priced and the atmosphere lovely and welcoming. I would most definitely go back again if we are up that way and would like to give special thanks to "Bill" and the lovely helpful waitress who served us. You are both a real credit to the Drunken Dragon.

What a lovely welcome we were given as soon as we walked in. I was carrying my grandaughter, we were there to celebrate her first birthday. The table was ready with a highchair as requested. Our waitress was so attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. Five adults were very pleased with our meals. I had a large perfectly cooked piece of fish and chips with the best tartare sauce ever. The men had burgers which they loved and my daughter really enjoyed her ribs with side of onion rings, both tasty and plentiful. Baby ate a bit of everything and loved it! I've been to the Drunken Dragon twice and have found both the food and the customer service to be excellent on both occasions. In what looks like an average pub from the outside, the food and service inside make it a hidden gem. There's good, free parking and it's on a main road, so easy to find and stop off at. Well worth a visit!

We called into this pub today on our way home. It was clean and tidy, with nice friendly staff, and best of all a Seniors Menu. We had the fish, chips and tartare sauce with a proper cup of tea. Couldn't fault anything and will return to explore the main menu another time.

Beautifully cooked ..generous portion of Lamb ..everything piping hot and the best roast potatoes I have ever eaten ( not a fan so well done !!)..if I had to be picky I prefer my vegetables and gravy served separately but that is just a personal preference…The service was excellent , I would definitely recommend Sunday lunch

The Drunken Dragon does an excellent set lunch menu - 2 courses for £14.95, 3 courses for £17.95. There was a good choice for all three courses. I had the prawn tian, which was much more generously sized that I had anticipated, followed by the half rack of ribs. The portions were incredibly generous and the half rack of ribs, to my mind, were more like a full rack! The rainbow slaw and fries that accompanied it were really good. My companions had the burgers, which they both devoured! Whilst I would have loved to try a dessert, there simply wasn't room in my stomach! The service here was really warm and genuine and we will definitely be back. One thing I would like to say is that unlike many other pubs / restaurants, the drinks prices were really reasonable. I had a lime and soda and it was £1.50 (or there abouts) - in other restaurants I have been charged double, or treble that! Thank you Drunken Dragon for a lovely lunch.

Myself and the wife decided to pop round the corner last Saturday as we heard the menu had changed for the winter months. Greeted when entering and shown straight to a table and drinks order taken by I think Tom, and looked over the new menus. We ordered the chicken leg forrestier and the beef bourguignon, about 30 minutes wait which was prefect and what a great choice, both dishes are home cooked, tasty and very generous portions, both were delicious. Luckily we had room for the crumble and the sticky toffee pudding, again homemade and glad we did as both were the perfect desserts. Will definitely be back in the next few weeks to try some of the other new menu items and thanks for the impeccable service as the restaurant was very busy

Visited this pub for lunch halfway through a walk with a group of friends. Quite a large range of food (although no jacket potatoes) but the majority comes with fries. The only item that comes with ‘chips’ is fish. The barman was asked if the half rack of ribs could be served with chips instead of fries but apparently this might mean they would run out of chips to go with the fish??? I ended up not eating. There were only two other couples there apart from our table and only two people booked in for the evening so to let somebody walk away from a meal for the sake of a handful of chips is very weird. Also, one of our party didn’t get his meal until everybody else had finished even tho we asked for them to be served together. There was only 6 of us in total so 5 meals at once is not unreasonable?? Not rushing back..

The food was first class, the bar maid "Jane" was very friendly, very hard working, nothing was to much can't miss her with her long red hair. While we where there all the customers were very friendly and chatty The back ground music was very good a nice mix of popular hits It was our first visit to the Drunken Dragon Pub and it wont be the last, highly recomended

This is a genuine restaurant with good that is much better than most restaurants that are meant to be of a higher class, everything is clearly homemade and tastes incredible and the homemade cheesecake with different themes is amazing. Even if you just visit for a drink the atmosphere is great, welcoming and plenty of events on too

I must say I’ve been to many pubs all over the uk and this has to be one of the friendliest ones I’ve been to, I attended with friends and we had a lovely day sat outside in the sunshine, the food was beautiful and the staff very attentive and friendly, nothing was to much trouble, keep up the excellent work, I look forward to returning and would highly recommend to all. Thought about trying the Drunken Dragon a few times and finally got around to it the last day before lockdown. It’s a traditional country pub with a relaxed atmosphere specialising in food. We decided to try the 5 course taster menu and accompanying wine flight. Really pleased we did, it was excellent. Understand the plan is to have different taster menus; this week it was English. The menu was Prawn Cocktail, Fish & Chips, Chicken & Mushroom pie, Toad in the Hole and Sticky toffee pudding! All were absolutely delicious and extremely filling. The wines accompanied the meal very well and the tasting notes were revealed after each wine. Would definitely recommend for quality of food, wine and service. Just one tip, if you are to go for the taster menu you should skip lunch!!!

Called up late in the afternoon to book a table for 2, luckily spoke to Ben who was accomodating. Lovely warm welcome from Dave and his wife, and drinks delivered by Becca within a few minutes of ordering. Main courses of steak and a cheese starter as a main meal, nothing is too much trouble here and needless to say an impeccable mealThen you get to the cheesecake, 3 choices but so hard to choose so went with double decker and the toffee crisp.......very, very goodSuch a shame with the new rules coming in we can't visit for a month, but trust me the takeaways are just as good as eating in, we will be back and ordering a takeaway or 2 in lockdown.....cheers

My partner and I booked a table and were very surprised with our first visit to the Drunken Dragon. We received a very warm welcome, all the staff were very friendly, adhered to the covid rules at all times but still managed to help us enjoy our evening. Food was excellent, just the right portion size which allowed room for desert! We will be going back at some point when covid permits, highly recommend this lovely friendly place.

Returned here with the family having previously had a great meal with friends. Excellent service and lovely food. It was a nice personal touch having the manager have a chat and checking everything was ok. Can't fault the food although would have liked to have seen chocolate fudge cake on the dessert menu!!! Drove past this establishment a few months ago and stopped by as it was lunchtime. Ben welcomed me to his pub and made me feel very welcome. He is also the head chef so the attention to detail is definitely noticed and appreciated. I have now been here a number of times and the quality is always the same, very very good. Great selection of food and different varieties on special nights.Look forward to visiting more often!

Me and my boyfriend visited the Drunken Dragon this weekend. We both had dinner (Chicken Pie and Fish & Chips and a Dessert (Cheese cake) and it was fantastic! The portions were big and tasted amazing. The staff are very attentive and friendly which created a nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend - well worth a visit :)

I recently visited the Drunken Dragon for a meal out with friends and all i can say is WOW. The pub is warm and cosy with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere, the drinks are of good value and the locals / staff were very welcoming.We were seated in the resturant and the service was excellent. We all ordered from the menu and were kept topped up with refreshments ( i recommend the ales)The food arrived promptly and all i can say was hats off to the chef. I had the 12oz steak and it was cooked to absolute perfection. This was with seasoned veg and triple cooked chunky chips with the most amazing Sauce. I couldn't fault a single thing that night..... And as a result, ive been down there on 4 other occasions for food. I would highly recommend to anyone to go and try this resturant. I am in no way affiliated with the pub. Just an honest 5 star review.

I've been here a fair few times for food. There's a reason I keep coming back. Great food, good beer and brilliant service. I highly recommend the brie to start, southern friend chicken burger for mains and the sticky toffee pudding for desert!

Booked this place up online this morning went for a late lunch and was so impressed. The food was absolutely amazing (compliments to the chef). The lady who served us was so lovely and helpful nothing was too much for her and the venue was delightful. Only suggestion I have is to get some decent tonics mixers for the gin but we are definitely coming back. Highly recommend this place snd well done to our lovely friendly waitress.

Really great food , fish and chips perfectly cooked, coq au vin excellent and the lamb so good with sauté potatoes and veg all delightful , service was very friendly and helpful, wine list reasonably priced and a really generous cheeseboard , all in all top value and we will return.

Had dinner here Saturday, first visit since lockdown. Good menu in choice quality and vakue, very friendly waitress Becca was very attentive and always on hand through the evening.

Looking for a place to eat in Bicknacre and thankfully they had a table for us. The service was very good and we were made to feel welcome. Food was excellent, we had the coq au vin and the Chicken and leek pie both were delicious. A perfect way to spend a cold and windy afternoon in this warm, cosy pub.

Used this pub for takeaway over the corona lockdown and were lucky enough to visit in person in September food was lovely and staff were fantastic. Cheesecakes are by far the best bit. Will definitely use this local lots more now.
