What a fabulous find. Great selection of savoury brunch food with outstanding coffee and cakes to follow! Great service, friendly staff. Wish I lived closer to make it a regular place.

Great coffee, cakes and milkshakes

Brew & Bake is a great cafe; I come with my family, and sometimes for meetings and also to work with my laptop. The coffee is excellent, the cakes lovely and the Biscoff Brondies superb. But there's one problem: the Wifi. I completely accept that it's not incumbent upon any cafe to provide good Wifi for workers, and that a sea of laptops is the last thing you want as a cafe owner. But given that B&B is in a 4g blackspot, it would be fab if a solution could be found that's an improvement on the frustratingly rubbish current set-up, which barely functions and drops out every few seconds. If you're going to offer it, you need a proper service. Also, while the new loo is so much nicer, it shouldn't be hard to put a toilet-roll holder on the wall, and a shelf for hand towels, so that you don't have to bend under the sink to access them. This must be a nightmare for older people. Come on guys, it's been months now. Keep up the good work; but a couple of improvements would make a world of difference.

This coffee shop is a wonderful little hidden gem at the top of Bath Road. It’s very small and cosy, but has a great vibe. They serve a good selection of breakfasts, some tasty savouries, and a choice of brownies, as well as teas, coffees, hot chocolate and cold drinks. They have veggie, vegan and gluten free food and non-dairy milks. This place is a real favourite of ours. We will be back.

Lovely coffee currently on a tour of Cheltenham coffee shops so far one of the best we have had. Food was lovely a little on the pricey side for what it was and cakes even better. Coffee and cakes these were priced as expected. Will be returning. For the coffee and cake. Lovely friendly place great for dogs also.

We went for breakfast, firstly ordered coffee when it arrived we both found it very bitter. Normally we would not mention but it seems others around us also felt something not right. We took back to the bar and lady very politely offered to remake. The second round were better but still not the best. Our breakfast was not much to write home about either, egg were not seasoned- bacon was tough and looked reheated. My husband's full English was also pretty sad taste wise with cheap sausages and anemic toast. Probably won't go again. Pricing not bad - £32 for this plus 2 coffees.

The Greek yogurt, granola and berry compote was delicious and the staff were polite and helpful. However, it’s a dog friendly place, and whilst we were there the whole cafe smelled of damp Labrador which puts you off your food a bit. The tables are packed together and I wasn’t convinced about the overall cleanliness of the cafe. All in all, great if you’re a dog owner, not so great if you want to chill out in a relaxed and clean environment.

The coffee and tea were fine. The Muffin was dry. The staff seemed more concerned about chatting to each other than providing prompt service and cleaning tables. We eventually had to remind them that we'd ordered a while ago because it was obvious that they'd forgotten us. No apology.

Visited for coffee and cake. The female behind the counter was coughing and not covering her mouth, this was bad enough. I then witnessed her open a catering size bag of chocolate chips and repeatedly dip her hand in to the pack to eat them. They were then poured into a tub, presumably to be used in baking. This is clearly common practice as was all done in full view of customers. We have been regular visitors since it first opened, sadly this has put me off visiting again.

Great coffee very friendly staff

I was disappointed a bit with using this popular cafe, bisto. The staff were helpful, and cheerful but the bacon sandwich delivered the bread on the drier side, no butter or spread, the bacon cooked and then microwaved too much came in the sandwich very dry and way overcooked. I had a banoffi ice-cream milk shake, served in warm glass and just syrup and dried banana sprinkled on the cream and contents......no fresh banana, it's like everything is pre cooked and done on the cheapest basis to maximise profits...a shame for sure......

popped in for a coffee after a walk with my dogs and received the warmest welcome, highly recommend this place, and not just because they showed my dogs lots of love, but also because the coffee was lovely as well! will definitely come again :)

Very average brunch. Skinniest piece of sour dough with a flash of avocado and overcooked fried eggs on top. Service was ok but food sadly under par. Too many other eateries around to go back.

Disappointed to find recent menu changes now don't provide an alternative to the fried egg, why? Used to be able to get both scrambled or poached egg which combined with other ingredients is a preferred combination.

Popped in for a coffee and a cake on a Sunday - always appealed from the exterior of the café. The charm continued inside - very friendly staff, good selection of cakes, sandwiches and pastries, great coffee and great atmosphere! The front windows fully open so you get some of the hustle and bustle from outside but not too much, pleasant music inside and great food too! Highly recommend.

Bit naughty selling me 2 cakes and 2 coffees at 3.50. Had to remind the guy we wanted 2 x decaf almond lattes not almond oil!!! Then at 3.55pm saying we need to leave. Can we not finish our drinks. Take the money but dont let us sit down!

Visited with my daughter. We both had a delicious chai latte and shared a piece of nutty caramel slice. The chai was tasty and hot and the nutty slice was so tasty. Full of different nuts, pecan, salted peanuts, walnuts. It was like an old fashioned piece of syrup tart but with the saltiness of a salted caramel slice…. Just an amazing tasty treat

After having been to Brew and Bake the last couple of times, I've come to the conclusion that Jake is the backbone of this universe.

I like the coziness and simplicity of the place. The food is good without it being outstanding. Value for money it's spot on.

My husband and I love this little place for Food is always on point Good selection of cakes There is just 1 problem and that’s there’s a couple of staff who shouldn’t be in customer service, when trying to make conversation all you get is a grunt , no smile and very robotic. Why? If you can’t be courteous then they are in the wrong Job

They do a great breakfast! Nice staff. Cosy atmosphere. A little bit cramped in the middle of the café but that is dictated by the size of the room.

A fantastic small business with exceptional service to match. I particularly admire the commitment to diverse dietary requirements with a great range of diary and meat free food and drinks. I really liked the dirty chai and the butternut and feta roll.

Quirky cafe, good atmosphere - bacon (crispy) muffin tasty and sausage muffin excellent with local sourced sausage. Will certainly revisit on next visit to Cheltenham.

Fabulous coffee delicious breakfasts - we stopped for breakfast during a shopping trip - had regular breakfasts and muffin with mushrooms and egg. Gorgeous well cooked food and super service - staff are welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.

What can I say - I love their coffee which is toasted in Cheltenham. Their cakes are always fresh and scrummy. They do a scotch egg which is to die for - odd thing to single out but it really is delicious. The staff are always friendly too!

First visit yesterday. Lots of lovely brunch choices, so hard to choose as all my favourite things! Settled on a yogurt, granola and compote - delicious! The coffee was good too. We will definitely be back.

The full English they do is excellent. The coffee is also very tasty. We got a couple of the cakes to take away and these were also delicious. Recommend for a breakfast or lunch visit.

The best coffee shop in town. Best coffee, best breakfast, best brunches and best lunches... and by far and away the best cakes/brownies!We had the Fried Halloumi & Pesto ciabatta and the Sourdough with poached eggs, chorizo and chilli jam. Amazing!! I come here whenever I can and it never is less than 10/10.Not to mention fantastic service with a smile.

We visited in May on a lovely sunny Sunday morning, and sat in the large open front window. My partner had the Bake and Brew breakfast- every aspect looked delicious, the sausages looked pretty sensational! I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, also excellent! The staff were efficient and very friendly. Couldn’t recommend more!

This place is a hidden gem. Staff are so friendly and the coffee is amazing. Definitely the best around. My weekly lockdown treat is the biscoff blondie - a definite must!

El ambiente era agradable, es muy pequeño y están tratando de apoyar el distanciamiento social, pero es un poco difícil para el tamaño de la tienda.El desayuno era tan bueno, ambos tuvimos tostadas y yo tomé un batido. La comida era fresca con mucho sabor, pero nada superó el plato. El café era más débil de lo que esperábamos, los pasteles también estaban bien. Pequeño hallazgo lindo para detenerse.

He escuchado cosas increíbles sobre este lugar, así que fuimos a almorzar en una mañana de lunes a viernes. El té descafeinado era bueno, el café agradable. Tuve una ciabatta de pollo y tocino. Cuando llegó, me sorprendió ver que el sándwich (compuesto por el relleno entre dos mitades de una chapata en rodajas) era más alto que ancho. No era práctico intentar comer esto y ser tan bajo significaba que había poco relleno. El relleno que había era súper seco. No me impresionó mucho y me desanimó volver. Mi compañero de comedor tenía huevos Benedict y en realidad lo disfruté bastante. La selección de pasteles se veía bien, pero a estas alturas estaba tan llena de carbohidratos que casi perdí el apetito.

Hace poco estuve aquí para almorzar a mediados de semana, un lugar realmente agradable bastante pequeño por dentro, así que es mejor para fiestas más pequeñas.Me dieron tostadas de aguacate y huevos en masa fermentada, fue muy bueno, pero hubiera sido bueno tener dos rebanadas de pan para el almuerzo.También obtuve un brownie con trocitos de chocolate blanco, tanto mi novio como yo obtuvimos uno y lo disfrutamos muchísimo.¿Volvería felizmente a almorzar o tomar un café?

Solo una visita rápida de mi parte, recogiendo algunos pasteles en mi camino, aunque daré la crítica por la cálida y amigable bienvenida de la chica detrás de la caja registradora y la selección de pasteles (de los cuales me dijeron que todos estaban deliciosos )Espero que la próxima vez sea una sentada para mí.

I can't rate them highly enough. The gluten free cakes are excellent. The brunches are honestly some of the tastiest meals I've ever had. When our kitchen was out if use we came here for breakfast every day. I miss that!

Ordered Mexican scrambled eggs... Sounded lovely!! However the base was shop bought avocado mix.... Total let down, no flavour....and no mention of processed ingredients on the menu. Beware!!

I visit Brew and Bake about 3 times a week, whether it’s for a quick takeaway coffee, a coffee and cake catchup with friends, or for a delicious brunch with my family. I have a dairy allergy and the staff always make sure they’re able cater for this. Their vegan cakes are amazing (they always have plenty to choose from) and their ‘mex eggs’ (made dairy free for me) are the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had. Whenever my parents visit Cheltenham, they always ask to come here too!

I’ve been to this place a few times in the past but standards have slipped. My biggest gripe is staff talking to one another and not focusing on the customer. Today by the time the barista finished his 12 minute chat (my coffee was poured and on the machine during this time) when delivered to the table it was like warm. A further 3 minute wait for milk.

Lovely food it’s a shame it’s so overpriced. £6 for a sandwich that doesn’t come with s salad or crisps. Vegan menu has improved which is great. Nice location and nice cakes

Have visited here on a couple of occasions both to take away and eat in. Love that the salads aren't the same from day to day and that all the sausage rolls, scotch eggs and cakes are homemade in store!!! All of which are delicious!!!

I visited brew and bake today and was beyond disappointed with the food. I have been multiple times over the last few years but the last few times I have been less and less impressed.

Bitter, unpleasant coffee that could not even be improved with sugar and extra hot water. I will not be returning, they need to change their artisan coffee providers.

So one lazy Sunday morning we wanted breakfast and had driven past enough times so we chose to go here.

We were really disappointed after visiting yesterday, we were charged extra for soya and decaf coffee. It makes it hard to support small businesses when they charge so much more than big chains. An extra 70p for a small coffee.

With time to spare and despite feeling a bit under the weather, I decided to make the fairly long trek over town to return to this place for lunch. With hindsight, I should perhaps have tried somewhere else as I came away slightly disappointed. The flat white coffee was fine, but the smoked salmon sandwich & cream cheese was far too dry (the bread) and the millionaire shortbread also less moist than I would have liked.

Popped in for a quick coffee as it was near a Church where I was attending a funeral. Pleasantly surprised to find a good vegan selection, so had a vegan mince pie along with my coffee. Good service and reasonable prices....

After wanting to try this cafe for a long time, you now can’t keep me away and every Saturday morning you will usually find me sat with a latte or two reading. The cakes are to die for! BTW all the cakes and food are made on the premises. The coffee is good and hot and all served with a smile from friendly staff. The whole place has something about it - welcoming. I love this little cafe.

The place is situated at a very low level in accordance to the high street outside and thus feels like a real escape from the busy world. Their coffees are great and well priced and the selection of cakes and pastries is good despite not having a few of the classics i.e. croissants, pain au chocolat etc. The place is small and has a lot of natural light providing a relaxing and warm atmosphere.

Little funky almost hole-in-the-wall with terrific lunch options -- I tried a scotch egg and salad one day, and a crispy chicken sandwich the next. Both were really really good. Good coffee, great selection of cakes, free wifi and a nice smile with the service -- what's not to like?

Popped in here and the food was great. I always think the true test is how a place deals with a problem. There was a slight mix up with the order and the staff were fantastic, no quibbles and they couldn’t have been more helpful. A lovely place to eat and we’d definitely come again.

If you want a cracking, home made cake and a cracking cup of coffee, in a cosy, dog friendly cafe in Leckhampton....this place is for you. They also do lunch and savoury bakes.

I had been wanting to visit this little cafe for a long time having heard good things about it. I finally did a few weeks ago and wasn’t disappointed and have been back several times since. The coffee is severed hot and is good. Although not sampled the cakes look delicious and are made on the premises as is everything else. Gluten free are also catered for. Staff are friendly and polite. Free WiFi with the PW on display. Definitely my go to place for coffee every Saturday now.

The title is the giveaway. Good healthy breakfasts, excellent coffee, friendly staff, bohemian atmosphere! Early opening on Saturday was a big plus and the Sunday 9am opening was much appreciated. If I lived here, this would be a local haunt.

The cakes are always absolutely delicious and cater for a range of dietary needs. My partner is gluten intolerant and my friend vegan and Brew and Bake always have at least one or more options for them. Everything is homemade and you can really tell the difference. I often go for a slice of cake but the rest of the selection - brownies, bakes, shortbread, tarts, etc are always brilliant too. The coffee they serve is a decent one although I find it a bit strong but they'll do a single shot of coffee or whatever you ask for. Savoury food is also excellent with a range of interesting and flavoursome salads. The homemade sausage rolls are equally as delicious, I prefer the plain pork but there is a variety and the lamb one is pretty good too. Brew and Bake is always busy because of its size but most of the time no problem getting a table.

Enjoyed breakfast here - local artisan style breakfast roll. We look forward to trying the homemade sausage rolls, they look lovely!!!
