montpellier cafe in Cheltenham

Great cup of tea and slice of cake. The guy who initially served me was great too. However the milk jug and plate are both filthy. I’m also sat near the counter and trying to focus on my book but can just hear the manager (different guy) swearing and trying to impress the other member of staff. Some very cringey flirting going on 😂 he’s also declared he is ‘going for a fag’ and is just on the doorstep to the back of the pot wash section so I can smell his cigarette as I’m eating.

It's a very nice coffee shop, located within the grounds of the park. There's a nice conservatory at the back where you can sit and look out over the park and watch the squirrels whilst you enjoy your coffee.

we really like this coffee#1! the mood is great here, with a charming inside including photos of cheltenham's history. the workers are superb too, supplying excellent service😁 our coffees and snack tasted very delicious - thank youuu

There seems to be an inbuilt corporate culture that encourages staff to ignore waiting customers. Pleasant convivial engagement is sadly lacking. Coffee#1 may choose to employ automatons but that's not what I want.

This cosy cofe located in montiplier park not so far from play ground , I visited it at Saturday at 4 pm ,,The lady who made us coffee was very kind and lovely 😍😍 and gave my children drawings so I could drink my coffee in peace…thank you soo much , I am really enjoyed the place

Coffee #1 offers a fantastic experience. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, making each visit pleasant. The coffee is consistently great, with a rich, smooth flavor that's always enjoyable. Highly recommended for a quality coffee break.

Very lovely atmosphere. This coffee shop is cosy and right inside the park. Service was great. Coffee even better. Our table was bit sticky. Bit of cleaning would make this a 5 star.

By far THE BEST coffee shop in Cheltenham, if not the whole of Gloucestershire. Every time I come here the service is top notch, and the atmosphere is incredible too. I could not recommend this place any more highly. I will continue coming here for the foreseeable future!

Great little coffee place in Montpellier garden with a variety of cakes and muffins/sweet treats. Plenty of spaces available to sit and relax. Dog welcome here. Beautiful views of the garden!! Staff have been so friendly each time I go. The app is definitely useful to have as well if you're a regular!

This is my go-to coffee shop when I'm at work and want to get away for my lunch break. I bring a book, have a coffee and always feel comfortable here. The staff are always lovely no matter how busy they are and the coffee is really decent. Definitely recommend getting the loyalty app if you're a regular too. Also the caramel shortbread is the best!

Just moved to Cheltenham and popped into Coffee#1. Easily my favourite coffee chain. Staff were super lovely and helpful. Signed up for the app as will definitely be going there often

Ordered through Uber Eats at 5pm (Coffee #1 closes at 6pm), no updates at all until unexplained cancellation at 6.15pm. Wouldn't order from them again.

Lovely location, staff tend to be very good. It can be as hot and stuffy as a retirement home however.

Perfect spot with the doors open overlooking the gardens. Location better than service/cleanliness.

Located in the popular Montpelier Park area.Service is slick, quick and efficient...and dog friendly! Pastries, cakes.toasties and light meals available all day

I was served by the lovely Amy who made me a delicious coffee and had a nice chat whilst serving, she really made my day. A* barista, they’re lucky to have her!

Had a lovely millionaires hot chocolate with a mince pie. Couldn't believe that both could be vegan. Vegan cream saved the day. Would definitely recommend

Would have liked a hot coffee but was only warm and 50% of the cup was filled with froth.

Really lovely cafe, friendly service, good choice of cakes and pastries. I had the carrot cake (a little dry) with my cup of hot apple juice with cinnamon (delicious), but my friends lemon cake was to die for! I like the interior, with all the quotes round the walls, and the feeling of bookishness. For a chain, this cafe comes across as an independent, which is nice.

Great coffee shop, has a dog friendly glass room looking over the park with a back door in and out of this area, great coffee, lovely staff.

Was super busy when we went. So that may have effected the quality. Coffee was okay. Cappuccino cake was overly dry. Piece of sticker in the cheesecake. Overall not impressed.

Lovely place, food & liquids very good. Staff very helpful. Been looking for a good coffee place for ages that wasnt in the centre of Chelt. thanks to my sister who told me of this place. Hard to find parking though.

One of the nicest venues for a coffee#1 I've come across. Drinks were as good as normal but the Raspberry & white chocolate loaf was horrible and dry as hell. Won't be eating that again!

It's a wonderful place in wonderful garden to have a quick bites or afternoon tea or coffee, would recommend to try the cakes.😋

Great location on the edge of Montpellier Park in the old park keepers House. Lots of outside seating & no too crambed inside. Good selection of tea, coffees,, cold teas & coffees, also smoothes. There is also a good selection of cakes, sandwiches & snakes. Friendly staff & with reasonable prices. Don't forget to download the app, which sometimes had some special offers.

My favourite coffee shop! Excellent quality of coffee/ hot chocolate and the staff are uniformly helpful, charming and welcoming. In pre-Covid times, a good range of newspapers on offer. During 2020, a systematic and scrupulous attention to hygiene and cleanliness.

Very good cappuccino/moka, with the milk frosted and heated up just perfectly (the tempered the milk is checked whilst frosting it). Covid safe as members of staff wear masks, there are signs on the floor to remind customers of a one way in and out, and there are tables outdoors which are covered and suitable for the winter too.
