Not good 20 mins queuing then food was ok but only just warm staff were good and drinks served ok all a bit pricey and school canteen ish

Amazingly good! Food was lovely, great carvery 4 meat options and 4 vegetarian. Good choice of vegetables, sauces and huge Yorkshire puddings. Reasonably priced , our meal which included drinks, 4 meals (2 adults and 2 children) and 4 desserts cost just over £75. The staff were friendly and well organised. All tables cleared quickly and but without feeling rushed. Desserts lovely, infact we took them home as portions were more than we could handle after the carvery. The venue itself was very modern, clean and airy. Toilets very clean. Nice outside area for when it's hot. Plus plenty of parking. Would highly recommend. We were a party of mum, dad, 2 children and grandparents. We all had a lovely lunch.

Would have given 5 stars but I had to ask the Chef to use a clean knife to cut the Turkey as he was using the same knife to cut all the different meats. Apart from that the food, atmosphere, and the staff were all great. Most definitely will be returning next time we are in the area.

The restaurant is beautiful and the food is probably the best carvery we’ve ever had, we wanted more but both of us were stuffed. The staff including the owner were friendly and welcoming. The only member of staff that need’s a lesson in good manners and needs to put a smile on his face was the carver, my god this young man is grumpy, spoiled us giving 5 stars and his the reason we gave four, but he’ll not care. However we will return to the restaurant due to the lovely food. Thank you for the experience.

Me and my family go to the Brent house quite often but this time we were utterly disappointed. We decided to go here for a meal celebrating my brothers birthday who passed away suddenly in march. When we arrived parking was a nightmare, some car blocking the road and nothing was done to sort it even though we were told it was a staff member’s car. Next we waited for 20 minutes after being seated to order drinks and get out tickets when usually it’s around 2 minutes wait. We then arrive back to the table and our drinks orders were wrong when we order Diet Coke due diabetes and was given full sugar which can be very dangerous, kids were given wrong drinks even though we specifically ordered a red j2o and emphasised only red as last time my daughter was sick when she had an orange one. The vegetables weren’t cooked properly and were very hard, tho the meat was delicious and good portion size of meat given. Then we went to order the cakes and the lady serving was so rude, very hostile when we were trying to choose a cake and was very impatient with my daughter which made her ask if she had done something wrong when we got back to the table. For such a very important thing for our family we were so upset with the experience and frankly I’m disgusted by the lady serving cake’s behaviour! What a terrible experience and usually it’s always been fantastic there.

Group of 20 Ladies & Gent golfers from Staffordshire enjoyed the most amazing Carvery here. So we like to stop here for a meal on way to b&b when flying from Bristol airport. So we arrived last night to be quickly seated even though we had not booked. Good start. The plus points. Most amount of meat served on any carvery have been to, my plate was half full already. Choice of 5 meats, including lamb. The pork was absolutely delicious. Probably the best pork have had anywhere, and we have been to a lot of carveries. A dessert counter to die for. The lightest of cheesecakes. £7 a slice, but believe me the slices are easily big enough to share between 2, so well worth the money. Now the not so good points. Runny gravy. The food is not hot enough, barely luke warm. But the worst point is the potatoes. They dont even look like roast potatoes, never mind taste like one. They are the size and look of a jersey royal. They tasted more like a boiled potato that had been finished off in a fryer. Probably the worst roast potatoes have had. Which is very disappointing as I don’t each much veg so they make up the bulk of my meal. Would I let it put me off going again, no as the meat and desserts make up for it. If I was marking based on the meat would be a 5, if based on potatoes would be a 1, hence the mark of 3.

Would definitely go again, food was excellent, staff were really nice and helpful. Everywhere was kept clean and tidy with staff removing used items in a timely manner. We have visiting relatives and friends and are so pleased we tried this place as we now have somewhere nice to take them, which has not been the case lately locally.

Food was pretty tasteless, poor selection of vegetables, no cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes tasted like they were frozen, gravy was runny and tasteless. Puddings were not great either. Very expensive for what it was

Fantastic family meal- we all had a drink main and desert (family of 2 adults and 3 children) for £96 and our eldest child ate a adults meal. So fresh the food , staff couldn’t try harder if they tried- staff very accommodating, and food is to die for , the meat is so tender. The venue is lovely and clean, and it’s easy on the eye- beautifully decorated. Highly recommend the Brent house

Visited Brent House today with a group of adults with learning disabilities. The chef and staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious too. Will definitely be revisiting.

We have paid our second visit to this wonderful place! As my eldest is in wales and we are in Plymouth, we found this place by accident as a half way point to meet up. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great and staff are amazing!

This isn’t the 1st time I have been to this Carvery, but sadly each time I have been the cleanliness and waiting times have declined. We had to stand in a long queue to get served this took 30mins…. A lot of Takeway orders were being purchased and this only added to the HUGE queue. When we got to the food it was very messy, veggies all over the floor, sides etc, gravy dripping off the sides and just not very clean. The staff work like Trojans and I’m hoping they get paid well for there effort. It’s not a cheap meal out when you don’t get served And have to stand in a huge queue. Not the best experience sadly and not a lot of choice….

We have just eaten as a party of 4 and we have had the best meal. Excellent portion of meat with great selection of veg and sides. Would have taken a picture but was so keen to get stuck in but honestly looks just like the pictures!! Onion roast potatoes were lush. Took home a pudding, lemon roulade and can’t wait to get stuck in (when I have room!). Highly recommended - such a lovely place and refurbished beautifully. Staff very friendly and attentive. The building is modern with a very large seating area, we found the staff polite. We were disappointed with the quality of the Cavery for £15.99. It’s ok if you like bulk, the potatoes were poor quality, no cauliflower cheese, no swede, and no red cabbage. The vegetables we all tasteless we had peas, cabbage, mash, carrots, roast parsnips, broccoli, cauliflower. The Gravy was tasteless and the roast potatoes were not at all crisp. The dinner was not not hot we were most disappointed. The waitress asked if we would like a pudding, but given the quality of the meal the 8 of us decided to give it a miss at £6.99 a pudding. I guess it’s ok for coach loads or people that like to eat bulk. I had beef and turkey both tasteless. We often go to a carvery in Congresbury at 8.99 it includes cauliflower cheese, swede and more vegetables that where we will go in future

Brent House is a lovely setting with lots of seating in a conservatory type building with natural light which is great. Although the food is good, in my opinion it is slightly overpriced and you don’t receive your money’s worth. One of the main downfalls however are the staff, some of which are lovely but in most recent visits a few staff members have stood and stared at me and my boyfriend while we were eating which although it likely isn’t intentional, it is very off putting and feels like you are being rushed so they can get more people through the door. You aren’t allowed to serve up your own portions of vegetables/sides ect which can be slightly frustrating when you like one thing more than another. Personally i have stopped coming to Brent House and instead opted for a more affordable and nicer option of The Merry Monk in Taunton instead.

My friend and I often go to Brent House for lunch - once a week/fortnite - it's absolutely our favorite place to go locally! The staff are always so friendly and polite, nothing is ever too much bother. Prices, I think, are very good value for money - the amount of meat you get is ALWAYS too much for our one sitting and we ALWAYS take some home in a box! The pudding portions are also massive and you can opt to take that home too, if you're too full of roast. We are counting down the days until they are open again after their much deserved Christmas break! Keep up the good work guys you're amazing!

Fabulous carvery, so much choice of meat and vegetables and the desserts. Great idea to be able to take dessert home. Attentive staff, busy but we were made most welcome.

I went for Saturday lunch with 6 members of my family. The pub and restaurant are really smart and clean with a lovely atmosphere. The carvery was incredible, lots of meat and a good selection of vegetables. Delicious. To the person complaining about children putting their hands in food - you obviously encountered a family with no control of their children! I have been to many carveries and they’re all set out the same - you choose your own vegetables. The restaurant are not at fault for other people’s behaviour and should not be given a bad review for that. The desserts - WOW!! Huge selection of desserts and the portion sizes are huge. You are also able to ‘get them to go’, which I’ve never seen done before. So when you’re stuffed after your carvery, you can still enjoy a dessert later on! My family and I loved Brent House and will definitely be back!
