classic burger was great but ordered a large side of fries and cam in a very small dish. it's a bit expensive but friendly staff made up for it. very enjoyable

Lunch deal is good value, pity the ultimate smash and subs aren't on there, but the burgers on there are very good, get the tater tots instead of fries though, I had instant regret when someone else got them!

Delicious but a bit overpriced. Their milkshakes are not the best - I suggest ordering a coke or beer instead. You come there for burgers and loaded fries which are well worth it!!

Detailed review 📒 🖊️ I have tried a handful of burgers all over the UK. I must say, my first dining experience at this restaurant was quite memorable. Until I changed my mind. We went on a busy Thursday afternoon. The staff were welcoming. We ordered Sunshine on beef, Truffle Shuffle, barbeque chicken and tater totes. All of them tasted splendid. Dwelling a bit deeper onto the taste, the burgers were appetizing and the smell made us more hungry. I still vividly remember my first bite. It was juicy, with a wide range of flavours getting released. When I went for my second bite, I could feel the subtle use of buttermilk used in the chicken. It was so fat heavy (I mean in a good way) that it cherished our meat digesting gut bacteria! I even rejoiced in the taste of the light burnt bun as well. What a flavour! I knew this got to be one of my best burger eating experiences. I definitely didn't expect that in Glasgow. The bbq chciken was alright, but the mayonnaise sauce elevated its flavour. Tater totes is a must try if you like to give your mouth a small break from chewing the massive burger bites. On the contrary, my second experience turned out to be beyond disappointing. I was so pumped up to visit this restaurant, given its terrific first impression. I was rooting for the restaurant so much that perhaps the regression effects of my taste experience were more harsh than I had expected. The second time I ordered the same food, there weren't any salt. It tasted like a plain simple burger, with none of the nuances that I mentioned before. It didn't have the same magic it did before. I wouldn't have complained if the 'Wow' factor alone was missing. This time it was below average. Felt like the efforts that went into making was missing. I shared my disappointment with the staff. I hope they took that feedback in a positive way. Feels bad when you can't leave a 5 star for a restaurant that made your taste buds resonate in a never-seen-before fashion.

I had the Bacon Cheeseburger, Chips (Fries), and a Large Irn Bru. I have an onion allergy and they took it very seriously, and I was very thankful. My mother is very sensitive to gluten, and they cooked everything on separate fryers/grills. The burger itself was almost like something from Heaven, I loved every bite of it. The combinations on it were amazing and the presentation was outstanding as well. The Chips/Fries were amazing, perfectly fried, seasoned well, and just delicious in general. I even finished my mom’s fries because she got full. The Irn Bru was absolutely amazing, I would choose it over Coca Cola anyday. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a nice burger.

Food was nice. Shame about the attitude of two staff members. I planned to pay the bill with my card. Needed the toilet first and a staff member was there asking me if I was ready to pay my bill. I told her yes but I'm going to the toilet first, to which she said ok. I paid when I came out. However while I was in the toilet she approached my friend at the table and asked for bill to be paid. My friend told her that I'm paying it with my card but I'm just in toilet first. She returns to her two seconds later with the card machine and my friend says again it isn't her that's paying it's me with my card and I'm in the toilet. She cheekily told my friend "just you sit there then". My friend noticed the staff member looking at another staff member smirking at each other. Obviously assumed we were trying to do a runner without paying. Based on the attitude of these two staff members, we won't be back. However the waiter who took our order and guided us to our table was really friendly and professional.

So I had a poutine there along with a smash burger on friday night and it was incredibly delicious. I told the server I would remember his name but I don't, his name was not Kate, as indicated on my receipt since Kate got the receipt for me while the server was away at other tables. So going back to the food, I am from Quebec and I must say this is my first time seeing poutine that incredibly well made outside of where it is from. Cheese was perfect and a really close fit from the one back home. Gravy was also super good with a slight peppery taste which added to the dish. The smash burger was also super good, as a smash burger should. Service was really great from both the guy who is not named Kate and also from Kate. Thanks for receiving me and hope I can visit again when I come back to Glasgow !

I had been looking forward to eating here but I left disappointed. The food was OK but small portions. Maybe I ordered the wrong things but I would rather go next door to five guys.

Just too expensive. It used to be brilliant but paying £25 a head for a burger, chips and a drink is absolutely absurd. Be better off at Five Guys nextdoor sadly. The place was empty whereas it used to be heaving. Tells you all you need to know.

The Doughnut burger and chicken burger were amazing. The stake burger was also nice... Definitely a place I will always visit. This is a must go burger.

Love a visit here for a BBQ brisket toastie, small poutine and a bit of whatever my wife chooses. Food I have tried so far has been super tasty and staff are friendly and attentive. Now automatically adding 10% service to your bill and I'm now okay with that as it saves me needing cash for a tip. Unsure if that goes straight to the staff or the house though.

The food was amazing, i ordered the bbq beef brisket toastie and it was lovely...the atmosphere was very nice and the servers very kind...Nikos especially served us he was the coolest server we met in Glasgow so far and he was very pleasant.

Very friendly staff mixed with tasty quality food and a good selection of tunes playing whilst eating led to this being a very pleasurable experience. Only down side was the optional service charge being added to the bill which for me shouldn't be there as a top end restaurant it ain't!!

All staff are friendly and attentive. If you crave spicy food, eat angry bird. Chicken and sauce are delicious! This is a very delicious burger!

Had the Reuben sandwich, a bit underwhelming and a small putine or as we know it chips cheese and gravy, for what I saw it's an overpriced burger bar, it all tasted fine but didn't live up to the cost, the highlight for me was the hell beer that was good 👍

Anytime I'm in Glasgow I need to eat here! The food is amazing, the staff are lovely, and the place is actually quite comfortable. The last time I was there we arrived, ordered, and had out food in less than 20 minutes.

I'm visiting Glasgow once a month for business reasons and every time I'm going for diner here. The atmosphere is very nice, burgers are so good and the prices are so normal!! Staff is very friendly, especially Nikos, we had a very nice conversation on my last visit! For sure you have to give it a try!

Still the best burger in town, and the poutine was phenomenal. The prices are alright for what you get. The place was busy, which was expected, but the service was fast and efficient, and the waiters were very attentive. I'd love it if they would open an eatery closer to Aberdeen as well.

Incredible service, understanding of patrons being late. Food is incredible, portion sizes are perfect- not too little or too much, filling but not overwhelming. Lovely ambiance with the spacing between tables along with the volume of the music being just perfection. 10/10 will become a regular. 💯

Bread meets Bread has a separate gluten free menu which still has fantastic choices, they also supply an allergen book which is extremely helpful. I ordered the royale burger which was a cheeseburger along with garlic and parmesan fries. When it arrived there was also gluten free stickers on the burger stick and chip plate which I felt was a great touch. The bun was very soft and the whole burger tasted incredible. I also had to order a second portion of the fries as they were just incredible also. After my meal I opted for the chocolate torte which states on the menu that it is gluten free. It was amazing, very rich but lovely. Staff at Bread meets Bread were all very kind and service was good. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

I came here with my wife and one year old daughter on Saturday. The service was amazing, I think his name was Harpreet? Such a nice boi! Made my daughter smile and very friendly. Had the fried chicken cheese burger. Worst burger I have had in years. Tasteless, dry. Also, the most expensive burger meal I have ever had. Would not mind the price if the food was good, but with that combination of bad and pricey I don't see where this place gets the popularity from.

Waste of money. Food was bland, I had to add salt and pepper to my chips, there was NO seasoning. Overpriced! Charge you nearly 5 quid for a "optional service charge" without you actually getting the option to do it or not and a quid for a pathetic tiny cup of apple juice for the kids. Company has really dropped its standards. Staff were nice enough but won't be back.

Good food, bit overpriced for what it is. Glasses weren't cleaned properly and looked like they had about 10 years of going through a dishwasher. We were sat beside a table of very loud middle aged women. Not fun to listen to after a long day.

Been here a few times, all great experiences except my recent one. Ordered my usual - a cali burger. I received it and once I had eaten most of it, I came across pink meat. I felt sick to my stomach as I realised I must've eaten a raw burger! I told a member of staff and she took it to the kitchen and came back giving me their 'apologies' and assured me that the burger had been 'cooked at the right temperature and was just pink'. She also said they check the burgers with probes to make sure they're cooked - likely story. She took my burger off the bill, but still not good enough. Afterwards I had stomach pains and was sick. Won't be back!

Absolutely brilliant. Went with group of 5 pals for a chriatmas night out. Being veggie I was thinking that there wouldn't be much choice for me but I was so wrong! There's about 10 veggie/vegan choices and I got the vegan cheese burger with this isn't bacon. Absolutely amazing! Kimchi fries on the side were an absolute delight. Will be going back in January!

Okay, so I know a 3 seems harsh, but it's driven by the cost. I've been to the West End branch, and wanted to take some friends to experience the enormous selection of burgers and poutine. + the menus is excellent, burgers and poutine you won't get in (m)any other places in Glasgow. = food quality was, being honest, a bit disappointing. In our group there was a Tater Tot Burger, Brisket sandwich and poutine. Poutine was good but the others were just 'meh'. Maybe just too many things going on that canceled each other out, but they sounded much better on the menu than they were in reality. = service was fine. Our server was relatively attentive, but certainly didn't seem to be feeling the festive spirit. - cost. I get that this is the city center, but £14 for just a burger (no fries, no salad) is very expensive (you get more for that in any of the nearby restaurants). Then, to include an 'optional' 10% service charge on your bill is just the final nail in the coffin (to be fair our server may have tried to mumble something about this charge, but we'd had a drink by then and her enthusiasm made her delivery just like that one priest in the Father Ted Christmas special). All in, £73 for 3 people and that's only getting 3 beers, 3 mains and 2 sides. $p£ndy.

Nos sorprendio para bien ya que llegamos sobre las 3.30 pm de un sábado, evidentemente estaba lleno, pero nos atendieron muy rápido y acto seguido nos sentamos y tardaron poco en traernos lo que pedimos. El personal muy amable y atento en todo momento. El sabor de las hamburguesas fantástico, muy sabroso. Sin duda un buen sitio de comida americana.

We were still eating and the woman asked if we were done, we said no and she took our food off us anyway. We were unsatisfied with the customer service.

Used to go to the previous Glasgow branch in 2019, but the food quality, selection, portion size and value for money has nosedived. Vegan options in particular were nothing special at all with pre-frozen patty and bread, significant lack of imagination. The chips were nice but there were few. All in all, not homemade or special enough for 25 quid a head including drinks. However, the waiting staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and it was lovely and warm. Plus their white beer is very tasty.

Expensive burgers... whilst the burgers are tasty enough, they're not exceptional enough to merit the prices charged. We bought burgers priced at £16 & £19 but you still have to buy a side (i.e. fries) taking the cost of a burger and fries to £20 & £23... you could get a steak meal on the same block at Miller & Carter for a few quid more... or go next door to Five Guys. Staff were pleasant enough though.

Amazing place… we visited for our lunch before we go home back to the states and the food here was incredible. We asked for recommendations and were told to try the Luther burger… WOW I had never thought of a 2 donut bun burger but now I can’t stop thinking about it. My wife also loved her burger and we even thought bout going back for dinner… Restaurant is so nice to observe.. busy.. Christmas decor and good music. Our server Steven was also great.. smiley, quick and took good care of us. We are definitely going to stop by on our next trip to Glasgow… has to be the new recommendation to our friends!!

Used to love bread meats bread but just spent £30 on 2 burgers and one tiny single portion of chips. Chips are no longer sharer portions, yet still cost £6 a pop and the burgers are misleadingly advertised e.g pic of 2 patties but you only get 1 (with no option to add one at time of ordering). Tasty food but absolutely not worth that money - should have bought twice as much from McDonald's for less!

Food was amazing hot taste and fast

Service was spotless. The food even though tasty , I fell sick afterwards. I had the beef brisket which was an absolute pleasure but the fries with Parmesan and garlic on the side were not that good. Portions are quite alright but for the price given I would have expected more ( fries wise). I would definitely return.

Bottom line up front - Harpreet saved the day. I was trying to have a steak dinner for my birthday and everyone was booked for the night.. Imagine that, tryin to find a late night seat for 1 at a steak place on a Saturday - a bit difficult... But I saw this place here on Google maps and thought why not.. They've got bacon tots I'm kinda sold. We'll not only did they have bacon tots, but they had a great donut bacon cheese burger, milkshakes, and deserts. Harpreet was very polite and patient with me as I felt like a kid in a candy story and he was happy explain everything to me that I had a question about to include info or nearby stores on where to find things. I'm sure you can tell by now I'm a bit of an out-of-towner if you will, but not only did Harpreet deliver with the service, he also made my birthday very enjoyable! I wish him well in his travels and stand by a 10-out-of-10 will definitely recommend this place to those curious or in need of a burger.

Been here a few times when we are in Glasgow. They do a big range o burgers and each one we have tried so far have been excellent and good value. My favourite dish is their Poutine (chips in gravy with cheese curds). They even do a smaller dish as a side with a burger. All the staff are very friendly and attentive.

Was here a couple of weeks ago, and as always it was fantastic. Food was excellent and the service moreso. Think our server was Dean (if I remember correctly) and yeah he was brilliant; attentive, engaging and positive. He definitely played a part in the overall experience. On the whole, food is exceptional, service is great and the atmosphere is solid as well. Definitely becoming one of my go-to's.

I visited years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the meal, being back in Glasgow and nostalgia caught the best of me so I decided to head back. Just disappointment. The venue is beautiful and the staff are attentive but the main reason for visiting a restaurant is its food and this was a let down. I stayed simple and went with a cheeseburger and some spicy fries, portion size was borderline what I'd expect for a childs meal. That's not coming from a place of greed but for the price they charge I was expecting something more substantial. Burger was unexceptional, nothing bad but also nothing great. I know it's 'just' a cheeseburger, but I'd even argue some of the fast-food places have better tasting cheeseburgers. So for this basic burger and fry combo it came to a total of £18.15 including the 'optional' 10% service charge which I was only told about at the point of handing over my card to pay. Considering Five Guys is next door, I feel if I had the choice again - It would be them and not Bread Meats Bread.

Such patient helpfully staff even the lady that spoke to us at the door told us there would be about a 15 minute wait and then an elderly lady and her friends came in and the lady that was checking people in noticed that the elderly ladies shoe lace was undone so she kneeled down and tied it for her above and beyond service. when we got seated our waitress was Abi such a lovely young woman who again was patient with us when we were asking questions about the food and drinks so friendly and attentive staff and I give it 5stars for food and service Abi your a credit to the company 👍

me and my friends had an exceptional time at bread meats bread the food and drinks were all very good, our experience was increased with the services of nick and harpreet, both were excellent and made the experience a lot better.

Was a bit disappointed with the burger. It was too thin for my taste and I wish they'd ask how you like to have it cooked, because I like mine medium. Also, I feel they charge too much for service fee at a burger place.

I recently dined at 'Bread Meats Bread' and tried their Sunshine beef burger along with kimchi fries. The burger truly lived up to its name – it was like sunshine in my mouth, incredibly tasty! I'll definitely be returning for more. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the restaurant had a beautiful ambiance. Highly recommended!

I tried to avoid needing to write this. The last thing you want to be inspired to do when your meal arrives is to count the chips. But when the small metal serving dish is itself barely full it feels like the only option. 25 thin-ish chips for £4. "Is everything ok?" "Errrrrrm, not really, there's only 25 chips" "I'm so sorry, we have a new stock control system. I will let the kitchen know." So far so good. Except nothing else happens. No, 'How can we make it right?' No, 'Would you like some more chips?' No, 'Here's some more chips?" No, '"We've taken them off the bill" So here I am, warning you about the tiny portions of chips for £4.

Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and kimchi chicken sub. Both were excellent!! Packed with flavour and generous portion sizes. Staff were also extremely friendly and provided great service. Looking forward to the day this chain expands to a London location.
