Definitely recommend Gost Food was beautiful, setting is beautiful, staff very friendly Nicole went out her way to make sure everyone was our liking, This place is well worth a visit when in Glasgow city centre

Party of 3.we had phoned prior to booking to ask about gluten free options.was assured we would be catered for. Arrived to the waiter handing us a sheet of paper with allergens on it after asking for the gluten free options.none. So had to work out what we could order ourselves off the main menu from going from the menu to the allergens sheet. Starters came promptly 1 fishcake was delicious 2 beetroot starters were quite frankly bland.mains next 2 burgers and fries and a chicken supreme. All of which where luke warm.before the 2 burgers came..chicken came 1st...we were told the gluten free fries would indeed be in the same fryer used with the regular fries..so seriously what's the point in that? My friend declined the fries so was offered a salad instead of fries..small bowl. Declined any dessert as we were all really underwhelmed with our meals.bill came we did express our feeling with the meals so the beetroot starters and the bread was then deducted from our bill. All in all food wasn't up to the standard we were expecting. service was friendly and prompt but for the prices and what we ate we wouldn't recommend. Sorry.

Nice restaurant, good atmosphere and brilliant staff. Unfortunately, my Wife and I got food poisoning from the Oysters. We also had the Wagyu steak, a few desserts and some cocktails. This was our first night out after having a baby in October and left us both out of sorts for over a week. I was unable to work and being self employed this was a loss of £1500. While the restaurant handled our request and investigated they came back to us, said they didn't find anything and didn't want to refund us for the meal. Funny that as there's plenty of other reviews about food poisoning from the seafood. This isn't an isolated incident. In general, the food was ok, but not worth the £200 we paid. The steak was over salted and the desserts weren't any better than you'd get from a pub. If you've had a similar experience, the only option is to contact the council which can be done through https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/reportfoodsafety

Gōst was an excellent date night tonight! Impromptu visit and went for alternatives rather than their famous steak, was incredibly impressed with the Haggis Bon Bons, Seafood Tagliatelle dish, Caesar salad and some excellent cocktails. Top 5 lifetime whisky sour. Whole experience was incredibly efficient, never felt rushed and never waited for anything. Euan in particular was great, clearly professional and passionate about his job but took the time to have some good banter with us and his recommendations were excellent! Deffo going back. Maybe even a tradition! Side note; the care afforded to my peanut allergy was efficient and painless while attentive and reassuring.

We came to Gost for the first time tonight. Ewan was beyond helpful in answering our questions about the menu and was very attentive during our drinks and meal, making sure we had everything we needed. Excellent service, food and atmosphere! Will be coming again!

Rib steak and stroganoff fantastic. Slight mix up with the kids Paying for our dinner as a treat although quickly sorted out. Will go back for sure. Meant tremendous and loads of choices for side. You’ll enjoy. Have tap water with ice thlug🤣thank you. See you soon

Be cautious about the bill; they're adding more than your order. Last night, our bill was overcalculated by £280! If one of our friends hadn't checked it, we could've ended up paying over £850 instead of the expected £600+ for 9 people. Also, the service was slow.

Food was decent, ribeye was unreal! There was a slight mistake with one steak but was sorted straight away and we were discounted so will 100% be back! Our waitress Amy was brilliant and couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly, really made the atmosphere! 10/10

This is our second visit to Gost, and each time the food has been fantastic. I'd go as far as saying it's now the nicest place for steak in Glasgow. Our server, Joseph, was great - very friendly and attentive.

Dined 29/03 as was back in the city for a concert. From start to finish was thoroughly impressed. Lovely decor, comfortable booth, clean and great tunes which made for a very relaxed vibe. Service was prompt, friendly and unfussy. Food was delicious and drinks were well made. We paid a bit more than we would normally for lunch but we opted to eat from the main menu. rather than the 2 course lunch menu. No silly service charge added to the bill leaving patrons to tip as they feel. Already planning a return visit.

Second time eating here and both times the foods been class! Got the fillet first time and couldn't fault it at all and got the rump Sunday roast Second time which was amazing 😋 Nicole was our host and she knew the menu very well and honestly couldn't be more accommodating if she tried! A few weeks ago, we dined at Gōst Steakhouse in Glasgow, and it was exceptional. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, they were able to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. We ordered the 300g ribeye, cooked to perfection and served with skinny fries. Even with its high quality, Gōst offers fantastic prices, and the portion size was spot on. Our waiter, Reuben, delivered impeccable service, ensuring we felt valued throughout our dining experience. His friendly demeanour and helpful recommendations added to the enjoyment of our evening, making it one of the best service experiences we've had in Glasgow. We even shared a laugh about a typo on the menu, which could have been met with pretension, but instead, it became a hilarious moment. Lastly, the restaurant is beautifully decorated with a great atmosphere. Overall, Gōst exceeded our expectations in every way. Whether you're a steak lover or simply seeking a memorable meal in Glasgow, Gōst Steakhouse is a must-visit. We can't wait to return!

Arrived on time but table not ready. Given 3 seats at bar area for 4 people, not offered anything to drink. Ordered drinks at bar but took 30 mins to arrive, one drink short. Shown to our table where we waited 20 mins to order....

Lovely place, nice atmosphere the customer service from entering to being seated from the staff was first class, unfortunately we had to wait over an hour to get our food, although bread was offered after a while which we declined and a glass of complimentary fizz for Mothers Day which never arrived until I asked at end of the night. I asked for medium rare steak which is how I like it done, it was extremely chewy, but it tasted fantastic. All in all it was a good night, would I go back..yes, but would ask for my steak to be well done maybe.

It was just ok. Ok food (frozen skinny fries, very average sauces with the steaks) but extremely expensive and relatively poor service with no attention to detail (empty glasses left on, unused starter cutlery not removed, initial wait for table, over an hour from ordering...

The food was was incredible but the highlight was our waiter Joseph! Talked us through the food and drinks menu and recommended the fab salted caramel espresso martini, we’ll be back!

Wine & steak were delicious (although the whiskey cream sauce was a little light on the whiskey, although still very tasty) and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The smoked bone marrow served in the bone with caramelised onions on top was wonderful too. My photo doesn't do it justice!

Wow! This place is absolutely stunning inside. First visit here today. Great menu, portion sizes are decent which I love, we had intended on a desert, however after ordering our sides (the mac and cheese and onion rings the best I have tried in a while) we couldn't move so opted for coffee instead 😀. I had the scallops and pork belly to start, I'm not normally a fan of pork, this was first class! My friend had the croquettes and we both had the roast dinner (with it being Sunday after all😀😋 cooked to perfection. Nicole and Joseph who served us where both lovely, friendly and efficient. The place opens at 1pm on Sunday just a few of us in, then all of a sudden it was packed. We had booked it and I would definitely recommend doing that. Great upbeat vibes and background music. Definitely worth every penny. Just go 😀

Visited over the weekend with friends, we were hosted by Nicole who was absolutely spot on. She went above and beyond for us to ensure we were able to get exactly what it was we were looking for. Her colleague Andrew was great too. The food was great, there was something for everyone, drinks were cracking especially the cocktail - 'Spectre'. My first visit to Gost and have nothing but the highest praise for this place. The food was excellent and the service was also very good with our greeter server and bar staff being very attentive and helpful. Be aware tho it’s going to be more expensive than a regular high street chain but that’s said would not hesitate to return.

I travelled from England to Gost with my friend who lives in Glasgow on 26.01.24 We ordered the steak (sirloin). It was absolutely delicious. The steak was huge and cooked to perfection. The mocktails were amazing. We were served by the lovely Ellie and Reuben who were phenomenal! I would definitely go again..outstanding customer service, excellent staff members who clearly pride themselves in their customer service skills and we had a lovely chat with both of them too. The food was just perfect. I would absolutely visit again. If I had to change anything I would say that instead of skinny fries they should do steak chips as it would go better with the sirloin steak given its size and quality. The peppercorn sauce was very good too! Shout out to Rueben and Ellie though- they made it perfect.

Delighted with my experience at Gosht restaurant! Introducing a friend to Scotland, I sought a quality halal steakhouse, and Gosht exceeded expectations. The ambience was lovely, service warmly welcoming. The sirloin steak was a revelation—undeniably the best I've ever had, incredibly juicy. The mocktails were beautifully crafted. While it leaned towards the pricey side, the exceptional fine dining experience made it worthwhile for special occasions. A special shout-out to Ellie, Rueben, and the talented chef who made our evening memorable on Friday, 26th January.

Overpriced over seasoned ribeye steak with potato £44.50. sticky toffee pudding tasted burnt could not finish as disliked. No starters taken as disliked all the choices which is a first for us.

We've had Gost on our list of "places to try" and finally got the chance on December 23rd for dinner. The interior is lovely and really beautifully decorated for the season. My husband and I both had steaks and sides which were cooked perfectly and very appetising. We also had some really amazing cocktails made by Ewan whom we also had a great chat with! We will definitely be back soon! Gost was amazing and surpassed our expectations.

A great place to eat with a stylish interior. Had a small mix up on the order with the kitchen, but the staff were extremely helpful and more than fairly compensated us. We will definitely return!

The guy welcoming people at the door is extremely unfriendly and does not even smile. The food is extremely overpriced especially for the portion sizes, definitely low value for money. Requested the steak to be cooked medium well but got a well done steak, for £44 you would atleast expect better quality of food. Not worth the hype.

Absolutely fantastic festive lunch. Started with a simple Booking process, the restaurant was very accommodating to our various needs - we were a group of 23. Food was tremendous, very tasty, good time between courses and plenty of it 😂. Staff looked after the whole group very well, no long waiting that you would expect at this time of year. Booked a table for 3 early evening on Wednesday 06 December and made sure we had added on the online booking that my wife was gluten intolerant. We arrived 18.45 and there was no one to greet us although the restaurant was quiet. We stood inside in our winter coats for nearly 5 minutes while the barman (who did not acknowledge us) was preparing cocktails. Finally seated, no one offered to take our coats, so we had to pile them on the bench seats beside us. My wife ordered the filet and asked if the triple cooked chips were gluten free (GF). The server didn’t know, went off to the kitchen and came back and said no. Ok, how about the skinny fries, were they GF? Another trip to the kitchen and the answer was again no. So, it was to be a filet steak with no chips. Well, how about the truffle dauphinoise potatoes were they GF? … the waiter disappeared, this time for longer. When our finally drinks arrived, my wife asked again whether the truffle dauphinoise potatoes were GF and was told “you can only have the mashed potatoes!” So, in a restaurant that specialises in the best steaks, no chips because mash was the only GF option. I ordered the ribeye and my son ordered the filet. In my view the presentation on the plate lacked finesse – a steak, some chips, and a jug of sauce. I was expecting there to be at least some garnish, maybe a grilled tomato with herbs, but no, the bare minimum. To be fair, the steaks were correctly cooked and were tasty, but not exceptional. The dessert menus arrived, and my wife asked which were GF. Another trip to the kitchen only to be told “I’m sorry, there is nothing you can have!”. At that point we had had enough of GoST and asked for the bill. The waiter came back to say that the chef could do the crème brulée without the biscuit. Too late, we had already reached for our coats, which were still piled on the bench seats beside us. We were just glad it was a dry evening and headed home. There are many great restaurants in Glasgow but sadly, GoST disappointed us.

Loved this restaurant! Went for lunch to celebrate my daughter's graduation and they made it a very occasion. Food was great and the service was excellent 👌

We ordered the lobster mac and cheese spring rolls which were tbh incredible and I ordered the charcuterie which was very expensive for what it is. For main we ordered the chateaubriand cooked to medium but this came out rare I was happy but my I encouraged my wife to get hers sent back and get it cooked a little more to get it to medium. The chateaubriand was very stringy and I did not enjoy it at all however on a positive note the dauphonoise potatoes were superb but chips and green beans were extremely salty and I love my salt. With one pint and one glass of proseco this came to £133 without a service charge.

This is my third time coming and honestly such a great place. I took my girlfriend for a date here and she loved it. Gōst has great staff but I need to shout out our amazing waiter Joseph. He was so nice, kind and made our night!!! Well done Gōst

Service and atmosphere was faultless.

Very disappointing. The worst £50 steak I've had. As a single female dining alone, I was seated with a view of the staff door and till. Then steak was rubbish, staff unable to offer anything other than peppercorn sauce. Limited dessert options. Unfortunately would not recommend or return.
